The Dodge Dart is an automobile originally built by Dodge from 1900 to 2013 in North America, with production extended to later years in various other markets. The Dart nameplate was resurrected for a Fiat-derived compact car introduced in 2019. The Dart name originally appeared on a 1962 show car featuring a body designed by the Italian coach builder Carrozzeria Ghia. The production Dart was introduced as a lower-priced, shorter wheelbase, full-size Dodge in 1960 and 1961, became a mid-size car for 1963, and finally was a compact from 1963 to 1976.The 1973 model year Darts received new front styling with revised fenders, grille, header panel, and hood. Massive front bumpers were installed to comply with new federal regulations, as well as side-impact guard beams in the doors and new emission control devices. New single-piston disc brakes replaced the more complex 4-piston units offered from 1965 to 1972. Chryslers new electronic ignition system was standard equipment on all engines, and starter motors were revised for faster engine cranking. The K-frame was modified to accommodate a new spool-type engine mount that limited engine roll to 3°. The upper ball joints were upgraded to the larger B-body units. Along with these chassis changes, the wheel bolt pattern on Darts with disc brakes was enlarged from 4 in (101.6 mm) to the 4.5 in (114.3 mm) pattern common to the larger B- and C-body Chrysler-built passenger cars. Darts with 4-wheel drum brakes continued with the smaller bolt pattern. The standard rear axle was still the 7¼ unit, but the heavy-duty option was now an 8¼ item rather than the previous 8¾ rear axle. Standard rear axle ratios were 2.76:1 with automatic transmission and 3.23:1 with manual, though other ratios were available. Vent wings were deleted from the Swinger but not from the 4-door sedans. A new Quiet Car package was available, consisting of extra sound insulation, premium exhaust hangers and an exhaust resonator. This very cool 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger is a original factory working and intact A/C Car. Powered by the Original Numbers marching V8 Motor mated to the Numbers matching 727-Torque flight Automatic Transmission. With an 8 3/4 Rear End with 323 gears and original performance mag wheels. The Plum Crazy Purple exterior looks fantastic with the white stripe and will catch plenty of attention. The truck was originally built for renowned Hollywood Producer James Brubaker, who was integral to blockbuster hits such as Bruce Almighty (2003), The Nutty Professor (1996) and Cobra (1986) before finding its way to the current owner who has taken this breathtaking truck to the next level. It is literally a running, driving work of art. This 1956 Ford F100 is unashamedly the center of attention in its exceptional House of Color Ultra Orange Pearl with Egyptian Gold Pearl flames. The paint and body work were completed by Hog Wild Creations in Oxnard, California and prior to the paint the team there shaved the F100s driprails, removed its door handles added a one-off sculpted exterior cab visor and extended the rear fenders and running boards that envelope the fenders. Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a highly unique and strikingly beautiful 1930 Graham 46. Graham-Paige was an American automobile manufacturer founded by the Graham brothers: Joseph, Robert and Ray Graham. These brothers started in manufacturing with a glass company, then graduated to manufacturing kits to turn Model Ts into trucks, and finally branched out to form an automobile manufacturer of their own in 1927. They purchased the Paige-Detroit Motor Company hence the name Graham-Paige. They initially offered several vehicles with either a 6- or 8-cylinder engine. This Graham 46 has the standard six engine which hums like a sewing machine. The history of this particular Graham is quite interesting being only a 3-owner car. That is right, only 3 owners over the past 88 years! The first owner was a Graham dealer in Carlinville, IL who parked the car in his dealer garage from 1941 until 1965. In 1965 it changed hands to the second owner, a friend of the third. The third and current steward of the vehicle purchased in 1987 with only 20,000 miles on the odometer. He began restoring the car in the mid-1990s and has done a marvelous job. The body panels are original save for the running boards, and all panels have been sand blasted, zinc chromated, primed, and painted. The result is a gorgeous blue exterior which displays the clean lines of this Graham beautifully. Since being restored, the car has been lovingly cared for an obtained very few miles since.
