Description:
Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is proud to offer for sale one of the six original BFG Tire Bird promo cars. This 1971 Pontiac Trans Am is believed to be the last remaining Tire Bird from that six-car stable. This car is so well documented as to its provenance that a simple Google search on BFG Tirebird will produce about 63,000 results, with the first page of the search results producing links to many extensive articles on this car. The car has been featured in Popular Hot Rodding, Firebird Times, Car Craft, Muscle Car Review and Petersens Engine Swap magazines. In 1970, BF Goodrich wanted to promote the street performance capabilities of its new BFG Radial T/A by using their new street performance radial in the SCCA Trans-Am racing series. A suitable car was needed, and the obvious choice was the Pontiac Trans Am. The Tirebird-Firebird moniker was a no-brainer as a result. BFG commissioned T/G Racing to perform the conversion of the six Trans Ams into their promo vehicles. Originally, each was equipped with Pontiacs H.O. 455 CID V8 and a Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission. When its second owner, Tom Senter, purchased it from BFG, the 455 was useless as a result of someone running it without engine oil; so Senter purchased an LS6 454 CID from Berger Chevrolet in Michigan, which remains in the car today. Its fourth owner, a California real estate agent, installed an automatic transmission and converted the 4BBL carb to a 2BBL so his daughter could drive it to school. This car went through a few color iterations, until its current owner found the car, and wanted to restore it to as close to original condition as possible, so he had it repainted in the original Tire Bird livery. Its dark blue paint with its white graphics is exceptionally well done, and its interior has been remarkably well preserved, with the black carpet and seats being in terrific condition. A Hurst dual-gate shifter was installed at one point, giving it a cleaner look than the B&M; Star Shifter that its 4th owner installed for his daughters use. The restoration on this Tire Bird put it in such original condition that it has won numerous awards, including Outstanding GM Car and Editors Choice award at the 2019 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals event. It has been recognized by BF Goodrich Garage for its authenticity, as well. When you buy this car, youll get plenty of PHS documentation, and a stack of other provenance and articles about it. This car is the real deal, and if you like to have things no one else has, this is the car for you. Powered by its 2nd engine, which is very stout 454 CID LS6 V8 thats backed by a GM TH400 3-speed automatic, this car is definitely able to go as well as it shows. Its Positrac rear has 3.42:1 gears, which provide just the right combination of acceleration capability and highway cruising friendliness, so you may even want to drive it to all of the shows youre going to win. Hedman headers and its true dual exhaust give the cammed LS6 its distinctive muscle car sound, so those near and far will know this Bird means business. Those outside will marvel at the extremely well-executed paint, with the precisely replicated graphics that duplicate the original paint scheme so very well. The driver and passenger(s) will appreciate the cold-blowing Vintage Air that was added to the car, which makes being in a black interior tolerable in the summer. A Retrosound AM/FM/Cassette radio replaced the original AM/FM radio, and provides enhanced tuning vs. the original. Additional features and options on this 1971 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am include Aluminum Alloy Minilite wheels, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, Seat Belts, Tilt Steering Wheel, and Vinyl Seating. For more information on this 1971 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am for sale, to see all the HD pictures and videos of it, copy the URL below, and see it at this direct link: https://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/show/HOU/1739 . Description:
Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is thrilled to have one of the baddest Eleanor-style 1967 Mustang fastbacks that weve hosted (or seen, for that matter). Just seeing that carbon fiber front splitter and red Cobra emblem in the grille should tell you that this car has performance to back up its looks. This snarling beast has been treated to a gorgeous red Dupon Nason basecoat/clearcoat finish, and the white racing stripes really add some visual pop. This is one 67 Fastback that just cannot go unnoticed - whether its parked, or on the open road, it draws attention...so if youre prone to spirited driving, you might become acquainted with another name for this red: Arrest Me Red! This is NOT a car for the faint hearted or those that prefer stealth. Powered by a FiTech fuel injected, stroked 351 CID V8 (that was putting out 430HP/450 lb/ft torque before the injection was added), the aluminum-headed beast will quickly remind you why it has 4-point racing harnesses at all four seating positions. A The beefy 351 sends its spent fossils through a set of coated Hedman headers into its dual exhaust, which has stainless steel mufflers and that sweet side exit. Backing the potent mill is a Tremec World Class T5 5-speed manual transmission, which sends the grunt out back via a custom aluminum driveshaft to the upgraded Ford 9-inch rear end thats filled with a set of 3.73:1 gears and a limited slip differential; so this baby can both launch hard and still cruise at reasonable RPM on the highway. And speaking of the highway - this beauty is equipped with a giant custom fuel cell, so you should get plenty of miles between stops. If you want to go off-highway and on-track, this Eleanor has the tires, wheels, suspension, steering, and brakes to help you stay ahead of the pack. Nitto NT555 high performance radials (P235/40R18 up front, P275/40/ZR18 out back) wrap the polished, lightweight Boss wheels, urethane suspension bushings, a beefy front sway bar, tubular control arms, fully adjustable coilover shocks (at all 4 corners), a fully adjustable Heidts 4-link rear suspension, heavy duty full length subframe connectors, massive drilled rotors all around, multi-piston Wilwood brake calipers, and Mustang II steering combine to give drivers confidence that this steed can be ridden hard, clipping those apexes every time. Inside, the the driver will find that the beefy billet Hurst pistol grip shifter falls easily to hand. The black synthetic leather seating is comfortable, and the Scat Pro buckets up front, along with the 4-point harnesses, keep the driver held securely in place during hard driving. A tilt steering column supports the fat wood-rimmed billet aluminum steering wheel, and a full set of AutoMeter Phantom gauges keep the driver always informed; while the air conditioning and Memphis Audio-powered sound system (with its massive subwoofers) keeps occupants cool and entertained at the same time. A giant Alpine touch screen control unit provides visual from the backup camera, along with GPS and satellite radio capability. This is one very well thought out build, and likely wont last long: many of these Eleanor style fastbacks are selling for nearly twice the price, so dont let someone else beat you to it!

Description:
Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is proud to present one of the nicest uncut Broncos that weve had, this striking Chestnut Brown 1976 Ford Bronco. Looking at this Bronco, it is no wonder why these have become one of the hottest commodities in the automotive world. When looking for a resto-mod Bronco, look no further than this beauty, as the owner spared no expense when restoring this beast!! From front to rear, top to bottom, and left to right, there hasnt been a part of this Bronco that hasnt been restored or replaced. With the plan of doing a complete, thorough, and accurate restoration (with a few upgrade tweaks), its owner had the frame cleaned, blasted, and painted, replaced both fuel tanks, installed a new fuel pump, and changed out the original fuel lines with 3/8 aluminum tubing to minimize the risk of fuel leaks. During the suspension restoration, TBP Deluxe shocks were installed, and all the bushings and all mounting bolts were replaced, as well as complete rebuilds on both the front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. Its powered by the iconic 302 CID V8, which is backed by a 3-speed manual transmission thats controlled by a Duff floor shifter. In addition to its dress up, the engine also has a new water pump, ignition wires, and all new hoses and belts. In addition, the A/C lines were specially routed to minimize under hood clutter, so the engine bay really looks good. But what really stands out is how great this bad boy looks. Before adding that beautiful Chestnut Brown paint coat, the owner sand blasted the body to make sure there were no ripples on the body. The undercarriage was also treated with undercoating to minimize the chance for debris to scratch the metal and lead to rust. Make your way inside this sweet 1st Gen Bronco, and you will notice a complete TBP interior kit has been installed. In addition to being a big upgrade from the original interior, it just looks right. All the dash gauges, A/C controls, and radio have been replaced and modified to fit the upgraded interior. Give our Houston Showroom a call or shoot us an email, and well hook you up!

Description:
Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to present one of the most sought-after Pontiacs in history, this 1969 Pontiac GTO “The Judge. A new model called The Judge was introduced. The name came from a comedy routine, Here Come de Judge, used repeatedly on the Rowan & Martins Laugh-In TV show. The Judge routine, made popular by comedian Flip Wilson, was borrowed from the act of long-time burlesque entertainer Dewey Pigmeat Markham. Advertisements used slogans like All rise for the Judge and The Judge can be bought. As originally conceived, the Judge was to be a low-cost GTO, stripped of features to make it competitive with the Plymouth Road Runner. The package was $332 more expensive than a standard GTO, and included the Ram Air III engine, Rally II wheels without trim rings, Hurst shifter (with a unique T-shaped handle), wider tires, various decals, and a rear spoiler. Pontiac claimed that the spoiler had some functional effect at higher speeds, producing a small but measurable downforce, but it was of little value at legal speeds. The Judge was initially offered only in Carousel Red, but midway into the model year, other colors became available. PHS paperwork was provided to back the cars authenticity. Options on this 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge include: AM/FM Radio, Spare Tire, Hub Caps, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Jack, Anti-Lock Brakes, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Rally Wheels, and Posi Traction. This 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge is being offered by our Atlanta Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:
1992 marked the production of the one millionth Corvette. It rolled off the assembly line on July 2, 1992 and is currently in the national Corvette Museum. The LT1 engine was introduced as the base engine for Corvette. This new engine produces 300 horserpower and 330 lb-ft of torque. At 452 pounds the LT1 is approximately 20 pounds heavier than the L98 that it replace. It uses a new cooling method, routing the coolant first to the heads and then to the rest of the motor. This allows for higher bore temperatures, less ring friction and more cooling around the spark plug bosses and valve seats. It also includes a lower restriction exhaust system using two catalytic converters and two oxygen sensors, a high compression ratio, computer controlled ignition timing, free-flowing cylinder heads and a new multiport fuel injection system to increase horsepower. An automatic safety shutoff stopped fuel flow above 5,850 RPM to prevent damage. "Acceleration Slip Regulation" (ASR) was a new traction control system that was now standard on all Corvettes, it used timing-retard, throttle adjustments and braking to keep traction. It also has a disable switch above the headlight knob. Improved weather stripping and extra insulation kept the cabin drier and quieter. On the ZR-1 badges were added above the gills on the front fenders. The instrument panel was updated including all black buttons and easier to read instrumentation. The power delay feature added the passenger door to cut power to accessories after the key was removed.

Description:
The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1990 Cadillac Allante for sale. This clean car fax Allante is a nice looking caddy. Cadillac had launched the front-drive Allante for the 1987 model year, to plenty of fanfare, as the company’s most expensive model. Body and interior design for Cadillac’s first 2-seat model was created by Pininfarina, in Italy, but the V8/automatic drivetrain was strictly American. Bodies were produced at a facility near Turin, Italy, then loaded onto special jet planes and flown to Detroit. Once there, driveline and underbody components were installed. Allante was a full convertible, with integral folding soft top and detachable aluminum hardtop. Aluminum was used for the hood and trunk lid while the unit body/frame structure employed galvanized steel. The Allante’s wheelbase measured 8.4 inches shorter than an Eldorado’s, but the 2-seater shared its basic fully independent suspension. An all-disc power brake system with Bosch antilocking was standard. By 1990, a 200-horsepower, 4.5-liter V8 was the motive source, also with automatic only. Traction control was new for 1990, using sensors for the antilock brakes to detect wheel slip during acceleration or steady cruising. When either front wheel began to slip, the system applied braking force to that wheel. If both front wheels were slipping, enough braking action was applied on both sides to optimize traction. A driver’s airbag went into the 1990 models, and electronically controlled shock absorbers were retuned to improve ride quality. The standard sound system now included both a cassette and a CD player. Primary rival was the Mercedes-Benz 560SL, also a 2-seater. Options include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM radio, CD player, power brakes, power steering, convertible top, cruise control, lumbar support, power windows, power mirrors, traction control, anti-lock brakes, power seats, anti-theft system, white walls, tilt wheel, leather interior, radial tires, aluminum alloy wheels. Description:
The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1984 Monte Carlo SS for sale. What is a Monte Carlo SS? It was a package option re issued in 1983 to augment the redesigned Monte Carlo rear wheel drive body. The recession was tough on automakers so it wasnt until the economy showed signs of recovery that we saw the first stirrings of rear wheel drive muscle again. After the Camaro and Firebird got their new identities, it was Monte Carlos turn. What Chevrolet did was create an aerodynamic nose for NASCAR racing. To homologate the package, marketing came up with an SS coupe to roll out in mid 1983. The Monte Carlo SS came in two colors, dark blue or white. It was a split bench seat car without console shift. That was left on the column as a three speed automatic transmission. You got the F41 firm ride and handling package, door decals, the 305 HO engine with Rochester ModQuadrajet four barrel carb, trunk spoiler, raised white letter Goodyear Eagle GT tires on 15 x7 mag wheels and bragging rights for your neighborhood that Spring. It was a sales hit for Chevy. The early SS Montes used the TH350 transmission with a a midrange 3.42 axle. The 305 used an aluminum intake manifold with Corvette L81 camshaft; this was good for 165 horses. Production total of 1983 Monte Carlo SS was 4,714 cars. For 1984 a full years production allowed the total to climb to 24,050 cars. Inside it was still a bit tame but with NASCAR racing wins piling up and a genuine battle between Chevy and Ford brewing, sales were good. The 84 edition was a repeat of last years success with full gauge package plus tach, quick ratio power steering, F41 suspension, black door handles, window reveal moldings and drip rails, anti chip protected lower body, sport mirrors with remote control driver, rally wheels and Eagle GT raised white letter tires, trunk spoiler, door decals, dual exhausts and full courtesy lamps. Inside you still had split bench seats as standard gear but those SS embroidered headrests were a nice touch. These disappeared after 1984. Horsepower went up to 180 this year. Most of the 1984 SS cars got the TH350. Options include: AC, AM/FM radio, power steering, power locks, power seats, tilt wheel, power mirrors, seat belts, Cloth interior, rally wheels, radial tires. Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale has a very unusual 1969 Ford Mustang Grande for sale in our Arizona showroom. Unusual in the regard that out of a total model year production of 299,824, only 22,182 were Grandes. Thats about 7%; who knows how many survive. This single tone gold-colored car is basically solid, with good floors, rockers, trunk pan, and shock towers all looking good. Both lower quarters have only a few surface bubbles at the lower rear, with no rust evident on the inside of the quarter. The black interior is also very nice with only a few cosmetic issues. This Grande has recently been detailed and looks very presentable. It seems to run and drive extremely well, and definitely gets noticed when its out. The 302-2V engine and C-4 automatic is a very reliable combination and is easy to get parts for, should the need arise. While this attractive Grande is certainly not perfect, the new owner can still be proud to drive it, be seen in it, and work on it to make the many minor improvements while still enjoying it. This is a nice car for a great price! Dont miss this 1969 Ford Mustang Grande for sale right now in our Scottsdale facility. For more information or to schedule an appointment to view this vehicle in person, please call the Scottsdale showroom at 623-900-4884 or email us directly at scottsdale@gatewayclassiccars.com.

Description:
This beautiful two owner 1965 Ford Thunderbird is for sale currently in our Denver showroom. The original light blue paint has been meticulously cared for throughout the years and it definitely shows! Thanks partly to this car never having been driven in inclement weather. Both owners of this 4th Generation Thunderbird treated it much like it was a part of their family. It was stored indoors at all times and put away during winter months only driven for enjoyment in most cases. The original 390 cubic inch V8 starts with the greatest of ease and purrs like a kitten. With just over 12,000 miles on a complete rebuild and never having missed a scheduled maintenance this thing runs down the road better than when it was new. Helping transmit the power to the road is the 3 speed automatic transmission that has also been professionally rebuilt around the same time as the engine. Sitting behind the swing-a-way steering wheel takes you back in time to when aviation and vehicles shared each others styling ques. Everything from the heater controls to the gauge cluster make you feel as though you are preparing for takeoff! The bucket seats feel as though they have never been sat in and if you are lucky enough to be the driver you are treated to an adjustable seat that is power. Wraping around the original wheels is a set of radial tires that have just over 400 miles on thme. Rounding out the claissc looks of this piece of American history are the sequential taillights that look just as good when they are off as when they are lighting up. You can view this 1965 Ford Thunderbird in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (303) 872-4722 or email us at Denver@gatewayclassiccars.com.
