Description:
Now for sale in our Houston showroom is one pampered and meticulously maintained 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible from the collection of a private Texas collector. This example is pristine with its correct Rally Red paint scheme (1 of only 3,336 red vehicles), white soft top, black leather interior and original owner’s manual in the glove box. Importantly, all numbers match and are original to the car (e.g., engine, chassis, frame, glass, etc.). Powering this beauty down the road is its original L-79 327 CID V8 that puts out 350HP & is paired to the original 4-speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly throughout all the gears along with the Posi-Trac rear end. Both the engine & trans have been professionally rebuilt with less than 19k miles on them. The interior is in excellent condition as well making this car a real pleasure to drive. All options on this car work as they should and overall the car shows extremely well. This would make a very nice addition to any enthusiast or collector. This Corvette was NCRS Flight Judged at the rigorous 2016 NCRS Lone Star Regional (October 2016, Frisco, Texas) and received 81. Points (against strict 1966 factory originality) overall from the 4 separate NCRS Judging Teams. Deductions were for being “over restored” (i.e., the paint is far too nice for 1966) or containing options added after dealership sale (e.g., AC, side-mount exhaust, leather interior). In October 2015, this Corvette also won “Best in Class” at the Sam Houston Corvette Club Show (The Woodlands, Texas). The vehicle was professionally restored in 2012 and has casual road time since then. A photograph book depicting the restoration is included with the sale as are extensive receipts from over the years. This car is equipped with options such as the side-mount exhaust, AC, teakwood steering wheel, knock-off wheels, power steering, & seat belts. This well-documented and striking Rally Red 1966 Corvette roadster is ready to drive and enjoy! To see all of the HD pictures and video please go to http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/houston/1966/chevy/corvette-S940.html. Description:
For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible. This black big block is powered by a 375 horse 396 with the L-89 aluminum head option. This was a true screamer! Solid lifters and high compression pop-up pistons with free-flowing aluminum Winters GM cylinder heads. This is not an original L-89 car, or the price would be near double as only a handful were ever built. However, this is a very accurate representation of a real L-89 car. The car featured has received a full frame off restoration in 2014 and will stop most people dead in their tracks. The paint appears as if it is miles deep and the rumble emitting from the coated ceramic headers and Flowmaster mufflers is intoxicating. Putting the power to the pavement is a close ratio Muncie M-21 4 speed manual, 12 bolt rear end with 4.10:1 positraction gears and some wide radial rubber. The rear tires are 275/60R15 and the car needs it! These big blocks were known for their stump pulling torque. The solid lifter variant of the big blocks were some of the meanest on the street. With a redline of 6,500 RPM and a factory underrated 375 horsepower, this was not a car to underestimate. True power numbers are far above 400 horsepower, especially with headers. Some sources say adding headers to a solid lifter high RPM Chevy Big Block was worth 75-100 extra horsepower. The factory cast iron exhaust manifolds were very restrictive. Equipment on this big block 4-speed convertible include Power top, Power brakes, Power steering, Power windows, tilt steering column and an AM/FM radio. Triple black with Magnum 500 wheels wrapped with BFG radial rubber, this car is gorgeous. For more information, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000 or swing by for up-close viewing. Chrysler provided a pre-production 392 CID V8, 525hp Hemi crate engine that was first shown at SEMA. Chrysler had Arrow Racing Engines release one of the first hand-built development engines for the D-Rod build. The transmission is a 4-speed Chrysler 518 automatic. The build also used a vast 32 Roadster aftermarket to create a high-performance vehicle that is truly a unique 32 Ford Roadster. Dearborn Deuce proved an all-steel 32 body with a disappearing top assembly. The frame is a Lobecks Deuce frame equipped with a 9-inch ford rear end, a Magnum 4-inch dropped tube axle, bobbed rear rails and four-wheel Wilwood disc brakes. The interior includes an Ididit steering column and steering wheel. The D-Rod was built in 2007 and not only showcases the Detroit Automotive Heritage, it is a build that brings together the best of the hot-rod industry. Description:
2003 Aston Martin Vanquish for sale! Motorcar Classics is proud to offer this awesome 2003 Aston Martin Vanquish featured in black with a sumptuous brown leather interior. This car features Aston's 5,935cc DOHC 48-Valve V12 Engine which is rated at 460bhp @ 6,5000rpm and a 6-Speed Transmission with Auto/Manual Shift. With only 17k miles, this is a very well kept example of the last Aston Martin model that was built at Newport Pagnell.
Originating with a 1998 Ian Callum concept design, the sleek 2001 Vanquish introduced Aston Martin's all-alloy V12 the first of its configuration for the marque. The Vanquish series brought "huge developments in engineering and design," many of which are still evident in current Aston Martins. These advances were achieved without diminishing the marque's traditions of hand-finished craftsmanship and exceptional performance, traits which have pleased the most demanding and perceptive of automotive aficionados for more than a century. The 'Superformed' aluminum exterior panels that so attractively cloak the aluminum/carbon fiber Vanquish body core were hand finished in the factory panel shop, and inside, the finest hand-stitched leather covered the seats. A featured role in the 2002 James Bond franchise film, Die Another Day, very successfully connected the Vanquish to another globally prominent aspect of the Aston Martin marque legacy.
Our Vanquish is a truly remarkable and enticing super car that has been sparingly used and carefully maintained. Completed at the Newport Pagnell factory in June 2003, the hand built Aston Martin received final inspection by Mr. Thomas Clark before being shipped off to the US. Today the powerful Vanquish remains in highly original and well-kept condition, with a stunning interior of the finest hides and Alcantara, Navigation, a premium LINN stereo system and a glovebox trimmed by "Q" are also features of the Vanquish. Diligently serviced since new, a better example of this Bond classic will be hard to find.
