Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to represent this stunning 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II. The Jaguar E-Type is a British sports car that was manufactured by Jaguar Cars Ltd between 1961 and 1974. Its combination of beauty, high performance, and competitive pricing established the model as an icon of the motoring world. The E-Types claimed 150 mph top speed, sub-7-second 0 to 60 mph acceleration, unitary construction, disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, and independent front and rear suspension distinguished the car and spurred industry-wide changes. This particular 70 E-Type is finished in its factory color, Primrose Yellow, over Black Leather upholstery. Powered by the infamous 4.2L DOHC 6-Cylinder backed by a Manual 4-Speed Transmission. Recent work and a lifetime of careful ownership is rewarded by a wonderful driving experience for this true survivor. To our understanding, the car has been repainted once, and the consignor is offering a collections of miscellaneous original parts. Additional features include 4-Wheel Power Disc Brakes and Factory Air Conditioning. Offered with extensive service records, original ownership paperwork, factory literature, and a Jaguar Heritage Certificate, this 1970 E-Type is a driving testament to the engineering and craftsmanship that these cars represent.

Description:

The year was 1968. Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In made its debut on NBC. At the same time, Plymouth paid $50,000 to Warner Brothers -Seven Arts to use the Road Runner name and likeness from their Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner cartoons (as well as a beep, beep horn which Plymouth paid $10,000 to develop). This beautifully restored example has the correct horn, but that is just the beginning. Painted a stunning Synergy Green, this Road Runner includes the numbers matching 383 CID V8 big block engine and 4-speed A833 manual transmission. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2017, just 200 miles since, including a fresh +.0030 bores. The factory 4-speed transmission is mated to an 8 3/4 rear end with 3:23 Sure Grip(posi) gears. This radiant and orderly engine bay must be seen to be appreciated fully. Updates include a heat and A/C kit by Vintage Air, updated wiring harness from American Auto Wire and all new brake & fuel lines. Other options include: seat belts, power brakes, electronic ignition, and front disc brakes. The quality work did not stop with the mechanics. This roomy interior is highlighted by new upholstery in black / silver vinyl that complement the OEM dash and gauges. You will feel the thunder of new dual stainless exhaust and Flowtech headers while firmly contacted to the ground by new 17” Retro Wheels and new Nitto performance tires. This fresh restoration demands to be shown, but once you get behind the wheel, look outside through all new glass at the road ahead and feel the high performance big block come to life, the journey has just begun! This vehicle is located in our St. Louis showroom. You can view the 1968 Plymouth Road Runner in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have questions regarding it, please call us at (618) 271-3000 or email us at stl@gatewayclassiccars.com.

First thing that grabs your attention is the Bright Yellow paint that snaps the necks of any on-lookers and they usually don’t stop staring until you’re out of sight. The interior is a premium Black vinyl kit that blends beautifully with the cars yellow exterior. Under the hood, you will find a ’53 Mercury Flathead V8 but you’ll notice something extra. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in our Houston showroom. Of special note, this is THE 1969 Camaro that Dale Earnhardt Jr. drove in the Goodys Headache Powders commercial, and comes with authentication (including Dale Jr.s signature). One of the most iconic of the Pony Cars, the 1969 Camaro has developed a cult-like following. The Camaro was introduced in 1967 as Chevrolets answer to combat the success of Fords Mustang, which created a whole new vehicle segment, later dubbed Pony Cars. For 1969, the Camaro received all-new sheet metal (except for the hood and trunk), which served to give the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with the heavy “V” cant, and the headlights were given a new recessed position. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider and more aggressive look. The wheel wells were flattened with sculpted feature lines flowing off towards the rear of the car and rear-slanting simulated air slots were positioned ahead of the rear wheel. The front had a full width chrome bumper integrated with the body color grille surround and round parking lights positioned on either side of the license plate. At the rear were wider tail light bezels with triple segment lenses. This styling is considered by many Camaro enthusiasts as the ultimate muscle car look and arguably the most desirable. This car is presented in its original LeMans Blue paint (as depicted on the cowl tag), along with performance white stripe accents. Under the hood lurks a high-compression full roller 350 CID V8, built by Conroes Choice Automotive. It sports a pair of Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads and FAST EFI TBI Fuel Injection sits atop the Edelbrock hi-rise aluminum manifold. An MSD Digital 6AL ignition system helps boost the spark, while coated headers suction the exhaust gases into a 2.5 dual exhaust system, and the performance mufflers give it that throaty muscle car sound that enthusiasts crave. The hi-po 350 sends the power to the rear via a built 700R4 4-speed automatic, which twists the 3.90:1 gears in its 10-bolt Posi rear end. In the event you find yourself spending too much time in the throttle, savoring the high RPM howl this 350 makes, the two-piece slotted and drilled Wilwood rotors and their accompanying multipiston calipers up front will help you get back to legal digits quickly. Inside this cool coupe is an Ivory bucket seat interior (also noted on the cowl tag), which seems practically new, as does the black carpet. An Equus tri-gauge cluster above the console helps keep the driver informed about critical operating systems, as well. The console features a period correct staple shifter, with an updated gear indicator bezel, alluding to the 4-speed transmission (with D-3-2-1 positions, rather than the D-2-1 of a 3-speed auto). Additional features on this 1969 Camaro for sale include Vintage-style AM/FM Radio with Aux port, Power Brakes, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Interior. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to present this 1970 Chevelle SS. The Chevrolet Chevelle is a mid-sized automobile that was produced by Chevrolet in three generations for the 1964 through 1978 model years. Part of the General Motors (GM) A-body platform, the Chevelle was one of Chevrolets most successful nameplates. Body styles included coupes, sedans, convertibles, and station wagons. The Super Sport versions were produced through the 1973 model year, and Lagunas from 1973 through 1976. The entry-level Chevelle 300 (131 - 132 VIN prefix) was available as a pillared coupe and/or station wagon (Nomad) while the 300 Deluxe and Nomad Custom (133 or 134 VIN prefix) had a 2-door hardtop added to the lineup (fourth and fifth VIN characters will be 37; with the previous 300 Deluxe the hardtop was available with the Malibu and SS396 but not the base 300/Deluxe in the USA not counting those produced for the Canadian market). The Super Sport (SS396 sport coupe, convertible, and El Camino pickup) became series on its own. Chevrolet produced 60,499 SS 396 sport coupes, 2,286 convertibles, and 5,190 El Caminos. In 1970, sheet metal revisions gave the bodies a more coke bottle styling, and interiors were also redesigned. The 1970 Chevelle and the 1970 Buick Skylark share the same roofline. The 1970 Chevelle came in Sport Coupe, Sport Sedan, convertible, four-door sedan, a couple of wagons, and coupé utility (the El Camino) body styles. Only three of these (Malibu sport coupe, Malibu convertible, and El Camino pickup) were available with a choice of one of two SS options; RPO Z25 with the SS 396 (402 cid) engine and RPO Z15 with the new 454 cid engine. Description:

The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette. If there is a car that answers all the questions of is it a good investment, is it fun and appealing, will it get noticed at a car show, stop light, anywhere is it the best American sports car? Well here is your answer, plain and simple a C2 Corvette. This Nassau blue vette stops you in your tracks and excites every sense of your car needs. The 350 cid V-8 engine is not numbers matching, but runs like a swiss clock with the recent rebuild on the transmission. If you can’t see yourself in this car with the AC on with the clean white top up on the hot days and the top down on those perfect weather days, then you have never experienced the feeling of a corvette. This is a better than average driver and not so perfect you are afraid to pull it out of your garage. Have we said what a great Vette this is, well, it is. The second generation Corvette, which introduced Sting Ray to the model, continued with fiberglass body panels, and overall, was smaller than the first generation. The car was designed by Larry Shinoda with major inspiration from a previous concept design called the Q Corvette, which was created by Peter Brock and Chuck Pohlmann under the styling direction of Bill Mitchell. Earlier, Mitchell had sponsored a car known as the Mitchell Sting Ray in 1959 because Chevrolet no longer participated in factory racing. This vehicle had the largest impact on the styling of this generation, although it had no top and did not give away what the final version of the C2 would look like. The third inspiration was a Mako Shark Mitchell had caught while deep-sea fishing. Production started for the 1963 model year and ended in 1967. Introducing a new name, Sting Ray, the 1963 model was the first year for a Corvette and it featured a distinctive tapering rear deck. The Sting Ray featured hidden headlamps, non-functional hood vents, and an independent rear suspension.[24] Corvette chief engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov never liked the split rear window because it blocked rear vision, but Mitchell thought it to be a key part of the entire design. Four-wheel disc brakes were introduced in 1965. Other options available on the C2 included the Wonderbar auto-tuning AM radio, AM-FM radio, air conditioning, a telescopic steering wheel, and headrests. The Sting Rays independent rear suspension was successfully adapted for the new-for-1965 Chevrolet Corvair, which solved the quirky handling problems of that unique rear-engine compact. Options include: AC, power steering, wipers, horn, seat belts, gauges, AM/FM, radial, clock, radial tires, rally wheels, convertible top, and turn signals. Description:

This 1966 Chevrolet Nova is now available at our Milwaukee Showroom at Gateway Classic Cars and should be the talk of the town from its flashy appearance down to its mean under-the-hood performance aspect. The Nova has taken quite a few body styles in the years of its production but 1966 shown as one of the more desirable years among them. This beauty shows as a prime example of what to expect out of a top-notch Nova. The paint job alone is enough to stop someone in their tracks featuring a hot red paint job that happens to be a licensed color through Porsche, and the color is set off beautifully by a set of chrome rims wrapped in radial tires. Under the hood of this machine, lies a fully built 350 cubic inch small block V8 which has a set of ceramic coated stainless steel longtube headers, aluminum heads and an aftermarket camshaft that sings a choppy, yet throaty tune through the dual exhaust system. The power of this engine is transferred to a Tremec T-5 5-speed manual transmission back to a solid rear axle featuring 3:73 gear ratio and an Auburn limited-slip differential. The Nova also has a custom interior featuring leather upholstery and an aftermarket stereo deck with a CD player and AM/FM tuner. The Nova will steal peoples attention and now is your chance to become somebodys envy by simply owning this immaculate show-worthy ride but shouldnt last too long! This 1966 Chevrolet Nova is at our Milwaukee Showroom at Gateway Classic Cars and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com which includes 100+ HD photos and HD video. Description:

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this beautiful 1965 Chevrolet Corvette. 1965 was the year 4-wheel disc brakes were introduced to the C2 Corvette. This car has a very nice Rally Red paint that is in great condition. The car is powered by a rebuilt 327 CID V8 to L79 specs. Listening to it idle is a treat, never mind winding it through all four gears. The completely rebuilt 4-speed Muncie M20 transmission sends the twist to a set of 3.36 gears with a PosiTrac differential. The 3.36 ratio provides both highway friendliness and good torque multiplication, making this Vette very street friendly and peppy to drive. Both the engine & the transmission were rebuilt a little over 8k miles ago. The four-wheel disc brakes really improve its stopping distances, too. This Corvette rides on classic period-correct knock-off style aluminum wheels that are wrapped in fairly new 205/70/14 black wall radials. The car has been subjected to an exhaustive cosmetic and mechanical restoration. The fiberglass prep was expertly done with the surfaces sanded to near perfection. The gaps were expertly aligned and the Rally Red paint was finished with a two-stage urethane. In addition, all the chrome was restored, the stainless spent time with a buffing wheel, and the shiny rocker trim looks new. A bright white convertible top was installed in January 2017. The interior of the car is in great condition and ready for a new owner to get behind the wheel. The black vinyl seats are in like new condition and have very little wear. We have had many Land Cruisers in our showroom and this one is by far one of the nicest we have seen here. A beautiful Deep Hunter Green exterior finish in combination with the new looking Dark Green interior makes this one stand out. The Land Cruiser is powered by the inline 6-cylinder engine, that also was completely rebuilt mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Both, the engine and transmission and the restoration have less than 3700 miles on them since rebuilt. Turn the key and take off. It runs and drives nice. This FJ is a must see. Options include AC, AM/FM Radio, Cassette, Manual Top, Power Brakes, Jack, Seat Belts, Power Steering, 4 Speed Manual, Vinyl interior. Toyota came out with the Land Cruiser in 1950 and it was an instant success. The reliability and off-road ability of the Land Cruiser made it very successful all over the world! Toyota tested these vehicles in Australia when developing in order to put them against one of the hardest terrains we have on the planet. The reliability and impressive traction of the pavement help solidify its name all over the world-conquering whatever terrain it came across. Description:

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a beautiful 1932 Chevrolet Phaeton. The odometer on this 32 Phaeton reads 21,451 and is the actual mileage on this beautiful Phaeton. Starting with such a low mileage car, certainly makes for an easier and more precise restoration. Options for this 1932 Chevrolet Phaeton include: Manual Convertible Top, Vinyl Olive Interior, Manual Turn Signals, Windshield Wiper, Wide White Wall Bias Ply Tires, and Wire Wheels. Powering this Chevrolet Phaeton is a 3.2L Stove Bolt 6 cylinder engine, which is believed to be original to the car. It is a naturally aspirated engine that features 2 valves per cylinder and produces 60 horsepower. A 3 speed manual transmission transfers those horses to the rear end, which houses 4.10 gears. The Sage Green exterior, black fender and running boards and dual side mounts against the Tan top, Olive interior, and Red wire wheels with new Wide White Walls produce a very unique look that does not disappoint. The tan top and Olive vinyl interior are both in very good condition, free from any rips, tears, or serious wear. The Phaeton body style differs from a convertible in that it does not have a winding or sliding windows in the doors nor does it have a permanent, fixed roof. Due to the lack of a rigid or fixed roof, the Phaeton was much lighter than a convertible. The Phaeton body style was faded out after the convertible style became much more popular with its ability to be driven in all types of weather. Description:

The 1970 Dodge Challenger was Dodges pony car answer to the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro , and finally appeared in the fall of 1969. Simultaneously, Plymouth gained a redesigned Barracuda which despite looking similar rode on a wheelbase two-inches shorter and shared no E-Body panels - only the windshield. The Dodge Challenger had been around since 1966, but was aimed at a mid-size market, like the Plymouth Satellite/GTX/Roadrunner. The new Challenger and ‘Cuda were both late and expensive to develop. Insurance constraints, corporate restrictions on horsepower/weight ratios and imminent federal emissions regulations were bad news for pony cars, so the Challengers day in the sun was a short one. The Challenger offered eight engines, from a slant six to the thundering 455 bhp 426 cid Hemi V-8. The R/T included standard 383 cid V-8, Rallye instrument panel, Rallye suspension with sway bar, and heavy-duty drum brakes. Convenience options included power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, and AM/FM radio. Stripes offered were longitudinal or rear bumble bee style. Available hood designs included smooth, dummy intakes, cold-air intake and shaker-style. Gearshifts included column, pistol grip 4-speeds and “slap-stick console automatics. Performance figures of course varied depending on the equipment selection and the magazine doing the testing, but they were impressive. The 340 Six Pack did 0-60 mph in seven seconds and a quarter mile in 15.2 seconds. The R/T 440 Six Pack car managed 0-60 in 6.2 seconds and a 13.7 second-quarter mile at 105 mph, while the 426 Hemi reeled off 0-60 mph in 6.3 seconds and a quarter mile in 13.1 seconds at 107.1 mph. Our stunning Yellow, Top Banana exterior with a black vinyl top, 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE, is a stunning example of these stop light bullies that terrorized the streets and boulevards in America.in the early 1970s. Wearing black leather interior, this Challenger roars to life when its 383 is ignited and the 727 automatic transmission is ‘slapped into gear. Crammed with creature comforts that were rare to many muscle cars back in the day, this Dodge features air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, stereo with cd player, telescopic wheel, and more! If you are reading this, so are possibly hundreds and maybe thousands of others in the World looking for an awesome, highly collectible Dodge Challenger RT/SE! Description:

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Pro-Street is the ultimate expression of high-performance, with race-grade equipment and show car looks. This car has the stance, and the attitude to back it up. The stunning black paint is show quality and is complimented by a set of very well done white racing stripes. Chrome bumpers fore and aft add some contrast, with dark-tinted windows to complete the look. There arent many cars that are more perfectly proportioned than the early Camaro, and the Pro-Street treatment on this one only enhances what is already a slam-dunk design. All of the car is steel with the exception of the hood and trunk lid car and hasnt been radically modified, although a few behind-the-scenes changes were definitely required to get those large meats under the rear fenders. If this were a full race piece, thered be a bare-bones interior with a single bucket. But in Pro-Street, full interiors are part of the package. High-back Procar buckets are upholstered in black leather, there are beautiful carpets on the floor, and the stock door panels keep with the classic look. In place of the rear seat is a set of fully upholstered wheel tubs that look like they were done to factory specs when the car was new. The original dashboard has been refinished, too, and now carries a beautiful set of Auto Meter Pro Comp gauges in the original pods ahead of the driver. But the crossover to race spec doesnt mean youre roughing it, because theres plenty of sound-deadening material inside. The floor mounted ratchet shifter manages a built TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, and a small diameter steering wheel fits the look. In back, the trunk is pretty much full of wheel tubs, a fuel cell, and a battery, and the workmanship of the install is very impressive. Youll get the picture when you open the hood and find a thundering 502 cubic inch big block sporting a Holley. Finished in more polished aluminum parts than youll find at a Goodguys show, its a street-legal piece that thinks it was built for the track. Theres a pair of ceramic coated long tube headers, and an MSD ignition in addition to all the stout goodies inside. The reinforced chassis carries a coil-over front suspension and a 4-link that carries a narrowed Ford 9” rear end with 4.11 gears inside, so nobody can accuse this of being a race-only piece. Wilwood disc brakes live at all four corners and the full exhaust system sounds simply spectacular. Rolling stock consists of Billet Specialties aluminum wheels with 165/80R15 radials up front and 31x18.5x15 Hoosier Quick Time meats out back.
