For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a Maroon Metallic Beauty: A 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 convertible. This is a very well optioned Cougar XR7, and as it turns out is 1 of 21 produced in the same color and trim package per the Marti report. The suggested retail price back in 1971 on this Cougar XR7 convertible was $5,350.00, not a cheap car for 1971! This Cougar is finished in a beautiful shade of Maroon Metallic that looks fantastic against the white vinyl interior and white convertible top. Powering the Cougar is a 351 CID V8 engine with an automatic transmission transferring the power to the pavement. One unique feature in the interior is the factory tachometer and rally gauges. They provide a sporty appearance and are a very nice add to this already classy interior. The odometer reads 16,808, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 convertible include: AM/FM Radio with CD Player (in console), Air Conditioning (inoperable), Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, Power Windows, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Automatic Convertible Top, Wire Spoke Hub Caps, and White Wall Radial Tires. This is a great example of a well documented 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 convertible in a rarely seen color combination. This Cougar XR7 is ready for a new family to enjoy all the nice sunny days ahead. This 1977 Ford Mustang Cobra II is for sale in our Louisville showroom. This is far from your ordinary Mustang II. The Cobra II debuted in 76 which included a black grill, hood scoops, front and rear spoilers, rear quarter window louvers, racing stripes and the iconic Cobra logo. This year in particular has the hood scoops turned the opposite way to reveal a sinister look sure to strike fear when seen in a rear view mirror. In order to bring the Mustang II to its performance roots, Ford elected to throw a V8 back in the humble Mustang. This Cobra II’s 302 CID v8 engine has been fully rebuilt from top to bottom. Some engine goodies include an Edelbrock cam and lifters, Edelbrock Performer dual plane aluminum intake, and a Holley 600 carburetor. A rebuilt c4 automatic transmission puts the power to the ground of this 77,000 mile machine. The exterior of this Cobra II is far from ordinary as it has been painted in Lime Gold Metallic Paint and shimmers beautifully in the light. Smoothed and recessed bumpers give the car a smaller and more attractive appearance. The exterior of this car takes the basic shape of a Mustang II and makes it worth giving a second look. An otherwise easily overlooked car has been given a new sexy look and it definitely turns heads of the 1st gen mustang purists. The Black vinyl interior is one of the coziest performance minded interiors Ford has ever dreamed up. To view this 1977 Ford Mustang Cobra II in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is this beautiful 1975 Triumph TR6 that is in great condition. TR6s are one of the most sought after British sport cars on the market today. They are still affordable today and the TR6 series is a great investment. With a steady climbing value, the right time has come to make one your own before they get too expensive. The one that we have for sale in our South Florida showroom is the one you want. This Triumph is in great condition, beautiful inside and out. The car was recently repainted and looks fantastic in its orange color. It isnt a secret that classic cars like to rust. There is no reason to be worried with this one. The body is in fantastic condition. We checked the whole sheet metal and there are no signs that this TR6 was ever involved in any collision. Our magnet sticks everywhere like glue and the body lines up like in 75. Lets continue and jump in the drivers seat. You will be amazed how clean the inside is. There are no cracks, rips or any other damage. Everything looks great including the carpet and the wooden dashboard. Turn the key and the real fun begins. The inline 6 cylinder sounds like it is just broken in and has enough power to let your cheeks flap in the wind. Of course, the old British sports car is shifted by a 4 speed manual transmission. It is just fun to drive this TR6. Just one peak in the clean engine compartment will tell the story of this car. This roadster has always been in good hands and well taken care of. There is only one problem with this car, it needs a new owner that will continue to take good care of her. She is ready to go and it is a must see. Please give us a call to find out more about this beautiful 1975 Triumph TR6. Let it ride!!! To see 100+ HD pictures and a video of this 1975 Triumph TR6, please visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:
For sale in our Chicago showroom is this incredibly powerful 1985 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA Tribute. How powerful you ask? How’s 840 horsepower? With a 411 cubic inch small block Chevrolet V8 sending all those ponies through a 2-speed automatic Powerglide spinning the custom aluminum driveshaft into the Ford 9” fabricated rear end. The aluminum center section houses a set of 4.56 rear gears to get the 29.5/10.5-15 racing slicks spinning and rocket this GTA down the quarter-mile in the 9’s at 146mph! The build was done starting in 2001. While 840 horsepower is very impressive, getting all that power to the ground is ultimately what matters. The 10.5 in slicks help plenty, but the mini-tub 4-link suspension really keep everything level. Plenty of work was worked into all spots of the chassis including frame ties, front suspension limiting straps, coilovers, and the 4-link suspension. Wilwood brakes on all 4 corners bring this white lightning to a halt quickly and safely. The engine and transmission have both been refreshed with no passes since. The vehicle has a title, but it is not currently street-legal and has 59,000 Miles. The paint was redone in 2011. With over 800 horsepower ready to slingshot you through the traps in the blink of an eye, this is one exhilarating machine. Options include: T-tops, Tilt Steering Wheel, Seat Belts, Kill Switch, Racing Wheels, Alloy Wheels, Posi-Traction Rear Axle, and Racing Slicks. For more information on this incredible 1985 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA, contact our Chicago showroom at (708) 444-4488 or Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com. For sale in our Saint Louis Showroom is an all steel 1918 Oakland Roaster. This Oakland is finished in a beautiful Blue Metallic exterior paint that is matched wonderfully with blue vinyl upholstery and blue carpet in the cab. Powering this unique Oakland is a 400 CID Pontiac V8 engine with a 4 BBL Edelbrock carburetor, an aluminum intake, polished aluminum valve covers, chrome Summit air cleaner, and chrome alternator. An aluminum radiator with an electric fan keeps this Pontiac V8 cool on hot summer nights while out cruising stop light to stop light. A TH 400 automatic transmission with a skull shift handle transfers the power to the 10-bolt Posi-Traction rear end. McCabe headers flow to Borla resonators that give you excellent performance and nice exhaust note, unlike most annoyingly loud T-Bucket builds. The polished aluminum/alloy 15 inch American Racing Torque Thrust wheels provide a great look and stance to the build. The odometer reads 1,304, but the actual mileage of the build is unknown. Options for this 1918 Oakland Roadster include AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Tilt Wheel, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. If you are looking for a T-Bucket or roadster type build, but want something truly unique, this Oakland Roadster will fit the bill. There are very few Oaklands available, and even fewer finished builds that are ready to roll to a local show or cruise. The wheelbase is longer, and the interior space is larger than a typical T-Bucket as well, creating an easier hot rod to get in and enjoy. To view this 1918 Oakland Roadster in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis Showroom. Gateway Classic Cars is honored present this beautiful 1994 Jaguar XJS! This long, low, and wide 1994 Jaguar XJS coupe proves that a great design is timeless. Even 25+ years after it came off the ship from England, a well-respected life means this still looks like it should cost thousands $$$$ more than it does. The styling was allowed to mature, and the European-style headlights were finally added to give them a truly distinctive look. The long hood and the low-slung body were subtle hints at the companys sporting history. Plus, this earns its elegance in the details, like the flying buttress roof and the 15-inch lattice wheels. The Burgundy paint still retains a terrific factory shine - a sign that this Jaguar has been treated with respect for the last 26 years. In fact, averaging only 2,800 miles annually means this is a special occasions kind of car. Jaguars are one of the finest at blending old-world craftsmanship and top-grade materials. You see it on the taupe leather seats and real wood dash and center console. When you slip behind the wheel, you get big gauges, and the gear shift feels substantial in your hand. As expected from a car of this caliber there are plenty of desirable features, including a power front seats, power windows, power locks, driver airbag, heated seats, an anti-theft system, and the factory AM/FM/cassette stereo. Plus, R134a air conditioning keeps this luxury interior at your ideal comfort temperature. By 1994, the new 4.0-liter inline-six was the engine of choice because this fuel-injected multi-valve DOHC provided this car with the most advanced and refined power plant of the series. This original motor looks great in the engine bay, like many of the legendary long Jaguar blocks before it. The motor was shared with the XJ6 of the day, and the four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive is borrowed from General Motors. This means you can maintain your levels of driving quality for decades to come without breaking the bank. But what really will attract you to this Jag is the feeling you get on the open road. The XJS runs on a fully independent suspension that has been built to balance luxury cruising with spirited driving. In fact, the famous Jaguar rear end has the rear disc brakes inboard for better weight distribution. Plus, theres also power steering, cruise control, and modern tires to really enjoy the grand tour. It is time to demand the finest from life even if you only have to pay a pittance. Call now! This 1994 Jaguar XJS is available from our Atlanta Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. None of these are hollow claims made by Toyota either, these tried and true workhorses are known the world over for their indestructibility. Just look at the value these have held stateside, let alone with the proper powerplant we were never privy to; until now.The J78 series of Land Cruisers are prized for several reasons. This 1994 features iconic styling with angular lines and proper SUV proportions. Its rugged looks are backed up by the most desirable powertrain ever fitted to these trucks, 1KZ-TE turbo diesel with factory lockers. Finished in Black 3.0 SX is a nice driver. This Japanese Classic is one of the most unique, collectible, and capable rigs we have ever offered which makes for a sensible, low maintenance ownership experience. The interior of this LC is surprisingly well equipped. While the model dates back to the 70s, Toyota warmed over the interior several times to keep it current. For instance, a tilt column and power windows, locks, and mirrors are standard. A/C equipped, and the heat pumps out nice and warm for the next upcoming winter. Seating capacity is seven, and the neatest feature is a set of 3rd row folding jump seats that can be used in a punch. All three rows of upholstery are in good shape, The gray cloth textured seats are soft to the touch and comfy on long cruises. Utilizing a matching material the door cards are tightly upholstered to the doors themselves. The factory head unit has been upgraded to a touch screen unit and functions as it should, with backup camera. This Prado benefits from a slate of recent maintenance, making it an ideal rig. The 3.0L mill that powers this Prado just received a fresh oil and filter service, and two new 12V batteries. With a twist of a key, she turns over and sets into confident idle. The automatic transmission shifts as it should and the SX gets up to and above freeways speeds easily. Mated to a durable 4WD system that includes HUB-lock and OEM lockers. Low-speed gearing is available if the going gets tough, but most folks wont see a need for it. The TEMS electronic suspension was cutting edge at the time and offers a variety of suspension firmness.
