Oldsmobiles roots date all the way back to 1897 when a bright young engineer named Ransom Eli Olds founded the Olds Motor Vehicle Company in Lansing MI. Olds had many early successes with his new company developing early gasoline, electric and stream powered engines. Olds was the 1st automobile company to use an assembly line to produce cars. Over Oldsmobiles rich 107-year history the brand created some of the most innovative vehicles ever seen. One being the 88 line. Placed as the 2nd in line model below the 98, the 88 proved to be what the American car buying public was looking for after WWII and a new car shortage that incurred because of the war effort. Powering this Pony is a Windsor 5.0L V8, backed by the original automatic transmission. The giant custom-fabbed radiator helps keep things cool, and the chrome long-tube headers significantly improve the 5.0Ls exhalation. In addition to the performance mods, the suspensions capabilities have been improved by installing welded-in subframe connectors and Bilstein struts and shocks, so this Pony handles like a dream. The Ford SVT Mustang Cobra (also known as SVT Mustang Cobra, SVT Cobra, or simply as Cobra) is a muscle car/pony car model that was built in model years 1993 through 2004 by Ford Motor Companys Special Vehicle Team division (or SVT, for short). The SVT Cobra was a high-performance version of the Ford Mustang, considered as top-of-the-line as it was positioned above the Mustang GT and Mach 1 models during its era of production. On three occasions, the race-ready, street-legal SVT Cobra R variant was produced in limited numbers. Ford introduced the newly redesigned 1994 Mustang in December 1993. It was the first major redesign since the third generation Fox-bodied Mustang was introduced for 1979. Known as Fox-4 (because it was based on the Fox platform as a 1994 model), the new 1994 Mustang was a vast improvement over the outgoing 1993 model.
