The action crime drama aired from April 1975 through May 1979 and starred Paul Michael Glaser as Starsky and David Soul as Hutch.
David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser were police detectives and partners on the television series Starsky & Hutch from 1975 to 1979. The 1976 Ford Gran Torino with its iconic white stripe has become a legend.
The stock Gran Torino was repainted and the signature white stripe was added, making it a specialty vehicle that could not be seen on the road, or on any other shows. It also defined a generation and went on to become an icon for the 1970s.
When a remake came along in 2004 as a full-length movie, the same car made a comeback in all its glory, although with Ben Stiller as Starsky, Owen Wilson as Hutch, and Snoop Dogg as Huggy Bear … with a nice end scene cameo by the true originals.

Taken from 1929 Buick sales literature: ...Bodies that are masterpieces by Fisher. Color harmonies that keep their rich, lustrous charm for tens of thousands of miles -- smartness, distinction, luxury. But these are not all. In mechanical construction, too, Buick leads the world. Lightning-flash get-away and acceleration; power for the steepest hill; dependability; and a sturdiness that makes the last mile on the speedometer as wonderful as the first. Equipped with a supercharged 4.2-liter V-8 rated at 400 horsepower, a whipping 105-horsepower increase over the naturally aspirated version.
Connected to a ZF-built, six-speed automatic, the V-8 enabled the portfolio to hit 60 mph from a standing start in only five seconds on its way to a top speed of 155 mph.
While the standard XJ had a subtle appearance that did not exude opulence or aggressiveness, the Portfolio blended both characteristics thanks to its design being heavily inspired by the Jaguar Concept Eight.
The sedan borrowed many of the features seen on the show car, including the sculpted aluminum vents in the front fenders, the mesh grille that replaced the standard vertical slat element, the polished, and 20-inch alloy wheels.
The longer wheelbase, which gained five extra inches, also helped with the opulent look.
Only two exterior colors were available, the classy Black Cherry and the attention-grabbing Winter Gold.
Inside, the Super V8 Portfolio was even more spectacular !!!! Also inspired by the Concept Eight, the cabin was sporty and elegant at the same time, featuring Jaguar's most luxurious amenities at the time.
The seats, the dashboard, most of the door panels, center console and steering wheel were covered in soft leather, while the floor had wool carpet mats.
The dash, center console, door panels, and fold-down picnic trays in the front-seat backs featured authentic wood inserts. Customers were able to choose between two types of wood, one of which was American black walnut.
The four-seat configuration gave rear-seat passengers ample legroom.
All four seats had power-adjustable backrests, three-stage heaters, while a four-zone climate control provided optimum comfort front and rear. The front-seat headrests were equipped with 6.5-inch screens for the DVD entertainment system with individual controls for both rear-seat passengers.
The Portfolio's outstanding performance compared to its German competitors was possible thanks to its aluminum structure, which made it nearly 800 pounds lighter than the long-wheelbase BMW 760Li! Its lightweight construction also made it more fuel efficient than its main rivals.
Simply put, the Super V8 Portfolio is the finest Jaguar sedan ever offered. At $115,595, it should be, but it's gentleman's-club comfortable, well equipped, and gorgeous. Just 145 IN THE COUNTRY!

The Saint Louis Gateway Classic Cars now has this amazing original low mileage 1965 Ford Galaxy 500 for sale in our indoor showroom. BACKGROUND: The Ford Galaxie is a full-sized car that was built in the United States of America by Ford for model years 1959 through to 1974. The name was used for the top models in Fords full-size range from 1958 until 1961, in a marketing attempt to appeal to the excitement surrounding the Space Race. The 1965 Galaxie was an all-new design, featuring vertically stacked dual headlights. The cars were taller and bulkier than the previous years. The new top-of-the-line designation was the Galaxie 500 LTD. Engine choices were the same as 1964, except for an all-new 240 cu in six-cylinder engine replacing the 1950s-era 223 Mileage-Maker six and the 352 was now equipped with dual exhausts and a four-barrel carburetor. (source: Wikipedia) This particular 1965 Ford Galaxie has the 390 cu in eight-cylinder, but it has barely been driven, according to our modern standards of high-mileage. The 31,247 miles are all original; that is, this isnt a rebuild with undocumented miles. What you see on the odometer is what it is, and just looking at the condition of this classic you would think that someone jumped in a time machine to 1965 and brought this back with him. The cloth interior seats barely look sat in and the exterior condition is showroom quality. As you can see from the video, this Ford Galaxie starts and runs like a dream. One thing to really like about this car is the document history that youll inherit, which goes all the way back to the early 1990s. Gateway Classic Cars is excited to consign this awesome looking 1966 Ford Mustang hardtop at our Milwaukee location. Considered Lee Iacoccas dream car for the masses. Not since the Model-T has Ford seen such a successful model, selling over one million cars within two years. The first Mustang came off the assembly line in late 1964 and is still manufactured today. Officially the first Mustangs were titled as 1965 models. To date, well over 10 million Ford Mustangs have been sold. At an initial selling point of $2,368 became affordable to almost anyone who wanted to buy a car. The Mustang became known as an affordable sport coupe with room for four. Our 1966 Ford is an eye appealing example of the Mustang legacy. Painted in a crisp white with a light blue hood and tail section. Matched up to a “showroom new blue vinyl interior. All set off by classic black racing stripes running the length of the car. The matching spoked white road wheels give this Mustang a masculine appearance. Under the hood is a highly detailed 289 C code V-8 attached to a C4 automatic transmission with a nine-inch rear differential. Engine features include a two-barrel carburetor, factory cast iron intake manifold and heads, Drake headers, and aluminized dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The complete under carriage and suspension have been restored. Including Mustang coil over front struts, front torsion bar, rear multi leaf springs, coil over rear shock absorbers and all bushings, sub frame bushings and seals have been replaced. Even the power drum brake system has been redone including a new reservoir, booster, brake lines and proportioning valve. Added features include a woodgrain steering wheel, full set of seatbelts, a Sunpro Super Tac II 8K RPM tachometer, 140 MPH speedometer and a Sunpro fuel, oil pressure, water temp, volts and boost gauges set-up mounted under the dash. To finish things off, a Sanyo Am/ Fm Cassette with Jenson speakers were installed. AS you can see, this 1966 Ford Mustang hardtop is ready to hit the road.
