Description:

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this very nicely done 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova. The first thing you see is the stunning House of Color Black on Cinnamon Pearl two-tone exterior, the opposing colors being split by a slick silver stripe. Underneath the hood is a 350 cubic-inch Small Block Chevy equipped with the factory iron heads and steel crank, running at a smooth 10:1 compression produced by hypereutectic pistons. It contains a thumping 260 Comp High energy hydraulic cam sending kinetic force through rocker rollers. Sitting high and mighty is an Edelbrock intake with a Demon 650 carburetor containing an electric choke, and it’s all wearing a beautiful custom paint-matched air cleaner as its crown. This majestic motor has some Jet Hot coated headers which feed a full length dual exhaust utilizing Flowmaster 2 stage mufflers which give it an unmatched throaty tone. The serpentine belt drive system is from a late ‘80s V8 Camaro, and consists of a new alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and A/C compressor. The power plant sends all the converted energy through a Muncie 4-speed transmission that contains a Hurst shifter as well as a Centerforce street/strip clutch controlled by a hydraulic throw out bearing. Pushing through to the rear wheels is a GM 10-bolt that is rocking a 4.11:1 gear ratio, drum brakes, and air shocks. The wheels are by Rocket Racing and are wrapped in nearly new BF Goodrich tires. When the vehicle was last acquired it endured a complete disassembly and restoration which was completed in 2006. It has since spent its life in heated storage during it hibernation every fall and winter, and was lightly driven throughout the spring and summers. An update in the quality of the ride is brought to the table through a Heidts front suspension that consists of disc brakes, as well as a power rack and pinion steering system. A Glasstek fiberglass hood sporting a 4” cowl gives the car an aggressive, stout look. Underneath, the firewall has been smoothed and painted, and if that isn’t a clean enough look, the battery was relocated to the trunk and it even has a disconnect switch. Hugging you when you’re in the cabin are a pair of black leather bucket seats up front which ensure the driver and front passengers safety with new seat belts. The headliner, carpet, sill plates, door panels, and rear seat covers are all new as well. A third brake light has been added to ensure the car is easily seen, even at night. A custom tunnel and front console were installed, and the dash was painted to match the stunning exterior. This gorgeous Chevy II Nova is a great example of what an update on an old car should be! Options include: Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, AM/FM Radio, CD, Leather Interior, Performance Tires, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts. For more information on this 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II, contact our Chicago showroom at (708) 444-4488 or Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

The idea of this 1999 Plymouth Prowler started back in May of 1990 with the words “hot rod-style retro car” written on a note card. That led to a one-fifth-scale model and a sketch of a concept, which caught the eye of the Chrysler president Bob Lutz. Lutz ordered the building of a fully functional prototype, which was the car that got shown in Detroit. The reaction from the public was overwhelming! By September 1994, the green light was given to building the Prowler in limited numbers, with the goal of reviving the Plymouth brand as the Viper had done for Dodge. Corporate parts bins were raided for some of the Prowler’s components, including the 3.5L SOHC V6 and 4-speed “AutoStick” automatic transaxle from the Chrysler LHS and 300M. But utilizing the drivetrain from a front-wheel-drive vehicle in the rear-drive Prowler required great innovation, with the transaxle being modified and mounted in the rear, as with the C5 and C6 Corvettes. The Prowler foundation is an aluminum frame fabricated from the latest alloys. The body is also made of aluminum and sheet-formed plastic, joined together with a new compression fastening process. Suspension components are also aluminum, using a new forging process, and the front suspension was based on a Formula 1-like pushrod design that hid the coil-over shocks inside the body. All off the efforts put into new materials and manufacturing truly keep the weight down making this car very fun to try. The 214-hp V6 propels the 2,800-pound Prowler very nicely. (Motor Trend saw 0–60 in 7.1 seconds on a pre-production car). As Chrysler Chairman Bob Eaton said in telling the world that Chrysler would build the Prowler, “It’s for real, and either you get it or you don’t.” This Prowler with a black exterior is 1 of only 779 that were produced in 1999. Along with claiming the title of the world’s only factory-built hot rod, the Prowler may be the only production automobile offered with a matching trailer. Prowlers have only the smallest of trunk space, especially with the top removed, and the $5,000 option offered much-needed room for longer trips — again following hot-rod tradition. When you combine the trailer with the optional factory hard top it makes this even more of a rare find from our friends at Plymouth. You can view this 1999 Plymouth Prowler in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (303) 872-4722 or email us at Denver@gatewayclassiccars.com. http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/DEN/350/1999-Plymouth-Prowler

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is offering at our Atlanta showroom, this Custom 1948 Ford COE [F-5] Dually Pickup Truck. The consignor states this truck is based on a 1997 Chevrolet R-45 1 ½-ton chassis, and installed a rebuilt 1979 454 .30 over, w/ 502 heads, Edelbrock aluminum intake, and 750 4-barrell carb, with Headman headers, mated to a crate 4L80-E, 4-speed automatic transmission, custom drive shaft, and a GM 8-Lug rear end w/ 4:11 gears. Both engine and transmission have less than 100-miles since installed. She was built to be created, and sold. To make her more of a cruiser, he re-located the engine beneath the sleeper body - making her a mid-engine truck, flattened the fire wall - allowing for the truck to now have a flat floor - freeing up all that space that was engine housing. The sleeper is a 1989 Kenworth 88, and has 4-access doors, as well as the engine access door. The pickup body is from a 1950s International, and needed the fenders to be widened 7 to fit the dual rear wheels. When you look at what was done to her, you begin to see the Creators vision, new drive-line, she runs very good, handles like a brick, can carry things, tow just about what ever you need, and not see another one like her for years!! These Old Trucks have seen a strong interest in lately, and the bones are here to make her what you need her to be, whether its utilitarian, towing, cruising, parades you name it! She is riding on 6-lug up front, 8-lug rear - with adaptors to accommodate the (4) Alcoa 19.5 Aluminum wheels - giving that Big Rig look! Want to make some long trips? She has dual 32-gallon fuel tanks, custom sun visor, and a tilt wheel. The interior was updated with Summit bucket seats, a TCI Outlaw Shifter, TCI Gauges, and shows well for an old girl. Taking this down the highway will surely be a breeze, as drivers move over to take a look at whats next to them. Between the dual chrome stacks, dual rear wheels the Alcoa Aluminum wheels, or the Black paint. Options on this 1948 COE include; Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt Wheel, 88 Sleeper body, (4) Alco Aluminum wheel, (6) Continental HSR 225/70R19.5 Tires. To view this 1948 Ford COE [F-5}, please visit our site at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call 678-894-4833, or email us at atlanta@gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

For Sale in our Louisville showroom is this 1973 Dodge Challenger. Introduced in fall 1969 for the 1970 model year, the Challenger was one of two Chrysler E-body cars, the other being the slightly smaller Plymouth Barracuda. Positioned to compete against the Mercury Cougar and Pontiac Firebird in the upper end of the pony car market segment, it was a rather late response to the Ford Mustang, which debuted in April 1964. Even so, Chrysler intended the new Challenger as the most potent pony car ever, and, like the less expensive Barracuda, it was available in a staggering number of trim and option levels, and with virtually every engine in Chryslers inventory. This beautifully restored car is a real head turner. With classic car looks and the strong Mopar heritage, this 1973 Challenger for sale has everything you need to get into the classic car hobby and buy right. Under the hood is the durable and peppy 318cid V8 that seemed to find its way into just about anything Chrysler. This mighty small block motor was known to be a high revving and full of torque. It was married up with also durable and mighty 904 3 speed automatic transmission. This car came with power steering and power brakes. The styling is what makes this car so great. The dark red exterior with black accents give it that great Mopar vibe. The interior is all new black leather and looks awesome against the dark red exterior. The odometer states 73,xxx miles, but with the build on this car being completed only a year and a half ago, this car only has around 1000 miles since. Options for this 1973 Dodge Challenger include: AM/FM Stereo w/CD Player, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, and Aluminum Alloy Rims w/ Radial Tires. This 1973 Dodge Challenger is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
