Description:

This cool 1968 Pontiac GTO is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 68 GTO was brought out as a completely redesigned model with a much more curvaceous body. The styling ques and performance allowed Pontiac to sale over 87000 units that year. Today these cars are still sought after for the same reasons making the GTO one of the most sought-after muscle cars to this day. This green example is one of the few cars that has only had 2 owners in its lifetime. The current owner bought it in 1970 and kept it until now with a copy of the bill of sale included. The paperwork and receipts that come with the car are rather extensive with the original build sheet found under the gas tank are included as well. The green paint is correct to the car with it having a respray done some time ago. The panels are original to the car and are in good condition. The Endura bumper was the major thing that separated the GTO from a Chevelle. This one Under the hood you will find the original 400/350HP engine that still has plenty of power and runs extremely well. The 4-speed transmission shifts out nicely with a great feel on the pedal. The interior is believed to be original to the car and shows no signs of wear. The black vinyl buckets upfront are exactly what you would except in 68. The 4-speed shifter is in a great position to hammer through those gears. Speaking of gears the original rear-end is still intact with the 3.23 gears. Many consider these the perfect mix of acceleration and highway driving. If you have been looking for an exceptionally original car with the documentation showing that is genuine this 68 is the right car for you. Options on this 1968 Pontiac GTO include, AM Radio, Power Steering, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, and Radial Tires on Custom Wheels. Description:

This awesome 1968 Ford Mustang is available at our Louisville KY showroom. The Terlingua Racing Team was named after a small community in Texas that Carrol Shelby and some close friends bought so they would have a place to go and blow off steam. Eventually Neale would draw up a logo that was placed on Shelby’s first ever GT350r right before its first race. As history has it that car would go on to win that first race and the emblem found its own place in the record books. This example is a great replica of what you would have seen racing in the SCCA Tran Am series of the day. The yellow paint is probably nicer than any of those race cars as it calls out for your attention. The stickers on the car are all classic 60’s and even has Shelby listed as social director which he actually was in Terlingua. Under the hood is a very healthy 302 that has a ton of power with a great exhaust note. Hit the button for the remote cutouts and that sweet exhaust note becomes a nasty growl. The C4 transmission handles the power nicely transferring to the 8 inch rear-end. Open the doors and a black vinyl interior is very inviting. The bucket seats are comfortable while giving you that old school feel. You will see something that never came in the original race cars and that is AC. Yes, you get the look and feel of an old school SCCA race car with the comfort of AC does it really get any better than that. If you have been wanting to get into a car that has the nostalgia racer look with some modern comfort thrown in this is the Pony for you. Options on this 1968 Ford Mustang include, AC, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires. Description:

With the perfect mix of classic looks and modern performance this 1968 C-10 stands out in a crowd! With only 5,000 miles on a fresh rebuild, the tuned-port injection 400 cubic inch engine runs strong and adds an extra element of reliability to the platform. The ceramic coated headers and add to the clean show car look under the hood. Hooked up behind the engine, is a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with an overdrive gear for easy cruising and improved gas mileage. Take a peak underneath the truck and you will start to grasp how well this build was completed. The frame has been powder coated red and the underside of the cab undercoated with Lizardskin to deaden sound and disperse heat then sprayed to match the color of the rest of the body. Air ride suspension offers a smooth ride when cruising and the perfect ride height when showing. When approaching this C-10 from a distance you will notice something looks a bit different about this one and if you don’t know what it is exactly you are looking for you may miss it! The cab of this truck has been extended 13” to make room to hide all of the air ride components and has also had a truck bed off a late model pickup added. The changes are somewhat subtle, yet really add to the overall build of the pickup by making the interior feel more spacious and separate from all other C-10’s on the road. Before assembly and being reupholstered, the inside of the cab was also sprayed with Lizardskin and then professionally reassembled. The ride quality is excellent and feels much more solid than your average truck from the sixties. If you are looking for a classic pickup truck that you can take anywhere and even show off it is difficult to beat this stunning C-10! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1968 Chevrolet C-10 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. This 1980 Jeep CJ-5 has been completely restored and is ready to take the path less traveled in style! With only two owners since the Jeep was purchased new and the current owner purchasing it 15 years ago, this Jeep has been well taken care of and loved since it was new. Standard equipment in the 1980 CJ-5 was an inline 4-cylinder, but customers were able to opt for the larger and more powerful 258 cubic inline-6 which is equipped in this one. The drive train in this CJ-5 was completely gone through within the last 2,000 miles and runs and drives great and is still original equipment from 1980. As you walk up to this Jeep, the overall condition will really jump out at you. The body is straight and has not been beaten up off roading like many other Jeeps have been in the same era. Laid on top of the body is a beautiful orange paint that, contrasted with the custom chrome wheels, gives it a bit of a Hot Wheels toy feel! Freshly redone interior and Bestop seat cover keep the seat protected and looking great. As you jump inside and fire it up, the engine comes to life quickly and purrs smoothly. As you start to drive around in, you will get the feeling that you are driving more of a UTV or a toy of some sort instead of an actual car! The short wheel base makes it very nimble and can get to places that most other vehicles simply are unable to go. This classic CJ-5 is a turnkey and needs nothing to start having some fun and making memories. Whether your plan is to take it out on some off-road trails with your buddies or just around the field with your children, this Jeep will not disappoint! Gateway Classic Cars of Ft Lauderdale is proud to offer this LS1 powered 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. The odometer reads 2795, which represents the mileage on the car since the build was complete. Options for this 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with CD Player, T-Tops, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. The LS1 V8 engine was donated from a 2002 Trans Am, and has roughly 27,000 miles on it. Inside the engine bay you will find polished pulleys, a few chrome accents, and a set of gorgeous headers. A 4L60E automatic transmission transfers the power from the LS1 to an Auburn rear end that houses 3.73 Posi-Trac gears. Power disc brakes with slotted rotors adorn all four corners, and Hotchkis suspension goodies are present in the front and rear, all come together to help this 79 Z28 perform like a late model muscle car. The Nassau Blue exterior paint was an excellent color choice, and it looks absolutely stunning next to the Z28 graphics and black T-Tops. ZR1 Corvette styled aluminum/alloy wheels are wrapped in radial tires, and provide an excellent look to the build. The dark gray cloth interior looks like new, with very little signs of usage. The gauge cluster is custom and features race inspired, white faced gauges. This 79 Camaro has been setup for a Pro Touring trip, and will not disappoint. All the modern amenities of a late model car with the beautiful classic look of a late 70s ride. Description:

In the last 28 years and only 7,000 miles, this gorgeous ZR1 is almost exactly the way it rolled off of the showroom floor! Boasting 375HP from the factory when the valet key is switched to full, the ZR1 proved to be a whole different animal than your run of the mill C4 Corvette. Other defining features exclusive to the ZR1 includes a wider stance with 11” wheels tucked into the wheel wells, squared off taillights, better brakes, better steering, and one of the most important is the LT5 sitting under the hood. In a partnership with Lotus, Chevrolet was able to produce this power house of an engine. This all aluminum engine featured 32 valve DOHC heads and was built and assembled by Mercury marine. 1990 was the first year of the C4 ZR1 and to purchase one of these from the factory was nearly double what it would have cost you to get a normal Corvette. This 1990 Corvette ZR1 specifically is well documented and is very much original. The only work known to be done has been putting in new injectors and swapping out the factory tires for a set that could handle the speed this car is capable of. It has been well kept over the years and is ready for a new home so if you are in the market for a piece of Corvette history and want something that is enjoyable to cruise, you need to seriously consider this one! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1990 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (303) 872-4722 or email us at Denver@gatewayclassiccars.com.

Description:

Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer this amazing 1969 Buick GS 400 Stage 1. The Stage 1 was a bit of a humble legend in the muscle car world when it arrived. Although its GM brethren motor divisions were producing cars like GTO, Chevelle SS and 4-4-2’s, that didnt mean Buick was standing pat. In fact, the GS 400 got standard functional hood scoops for 69, something none of its higher-profile corporate siblings had. The Cool Air induction system used a twin-snorkel air cleaner with two foam muffs that sealed against the scoop openings. Some local circles even dubbed the car “The Judge Killer”. New for 1969 were the Stage 1 and Stage 2 options on these iconic muscle cars. Stage 1 boosted output to 345 bhp. It had a high-lift cam, 11.0:1 compression instead of 10.25:1, a special carburetor and fuel pump, and larger low-restriction exhausts. The original, numbers matching engine for this GS Stage 1 sits on an engine stand and will come with the GS if you decide to add this beauty to your collection. Currently under the hood is a 1971 455cid that has been completely rebuilt to Stage 1 specs with roughly 10,000 miles on the overhaul. Power is paired to a TH400 floor mounted automatic and spins the 3:42 Posi rear end to translate power to pavement. This GS 400 Stage 1 is only 1 of 832 automatic’s ever built and with power steering and power brakes, it makes this muscle car a blast to drive. All brake components have been addressed and rebuilt for reliability and drivability. You can confidently drive this Buick anywhere although its main use was as a fair-weather cruiser. The GS 400 Stage 1 is dressed in Crystal Blue which accents all of the restored chrome with a touch of luxury and class. The interior is a place of comfort just as Buick intended and provides great options like tilt wheel and extremely comfortable bucket seats with a console. Buick rallyes look mirror like and even the clock works on this beauty. If you’ve been looking for an iconic muscle car that you can drive and enjoy, this is likely your best candidate. Gateway Classic Cars ins proud to present this beautiful 1957 Mercury Commuter for sale in our Detroit Showroom. 1957 was the first year for the Mercury Commuter and was available until 1968 when all three station wagon models were discontinued. This 1957 Mercury Commuter is one exceptional ride. Powered by an updated 351CID V8 Windsor crate motor that was rebuilt 3000 miles ago, this Commuter is more like a rocket ship. The V8 sounds so healthy running through the dual Flowmaster exhaust setup. The strong 351CID V8 is backed by a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic C6 transmission and stock rear differential. The car is painted in a very appealing light blue and white and sports the more desirable 1958 front clip. These colors just speak to this car and fit so appropriately for the era the car originally resided in. Typically, 1950’s technology is not the greatest when it comes to overall performance; however, with this Commuter, there has been a multitude of upgrades. One in specific is the four-wheel disc brake conversion which will undoubtably get this big rig to a halt in a hurry. The interior of the car is well kept and comes in a great black and white combination. This car is meant for you to enjoy it with many others and can fit in upwards of 6 people! Description:

The idea of this 1999 Plymouth Prowler started back in May of 1990 with the words “hot rod-style retro car” written on a note card. That led to a one-fifth-scale model and a sketch of a concept, which caught the eye of the Chrysler president Bob Lutz. Lutz ordered the building of a fully functional prototype, which was the car that got shown in Detroit. The reaction from the public was overwhelming! By September 1994, the green light was given to building the Prowler in limited numbers, with the goal of reviving the Plymouth brand as the Viper had done for Dodge. Corporate parts bins were raided for some of the Prowler’s components, including the 3.5L SOHC V6 and 4-speed “AutoStick” automatic transaxle from the Chrysler LHS and 300M. But utilizing the drivetrain from a front-wheel-drive vehicle in the rear-drive Prowler required great innovation, with the transaxle being modified and mounted in the rear, as with the C5 and C6 Corvettes. The Prowler foundation is an aluminum frame fabricated from the latest alloys. The body is also made of aluminum and sheet-formed plastic, joined together with a new compression fastening process. Suspension components are also aluminum, using a new forging process, and the front suspension was based on a Formula 1-like pushrod design that hid the coil-over shocks inside the body. All off the efforts put into new materials and manufacturing truly keep the weight down making this car very fun to try. The 214-hp V6 propels the 2,800-pound Prowler very nicely. (Motor Trend saw 0–60 in 7.1 seconds on a pre-production car). As Chrysler Chairman Bob Eaton said in telling the world that Chrysler would build the Prowler, “It’s for real, and either you get it or you don’t.” This Prowler with a black exterior is 1 of only 779 that were produced in 1999. Along with claiming the title of the world’s only factory-built hot rod, the Prowler may be the only production automobile offered with a matching trailer. Prowlers have only the smallest of trunk space, especially with the top removed, and the $5,000 option offered much-needed room for longer trips — again following hot-rod tradition. When you combine the trailer with the optional factory hard top it makes this even more of a rare find from our friends at Plymouth. You can view this 1999 Plymouth Prowler in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (303) 872-4722 or email us at Denver@gatewayclassiccars.com. http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/DEN/350/1999-Plymouth-Prowler
