Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Denver welcomes this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette! This one Owner Vette has been re carpeted with NOS carpet, and re painted with original color match paint. it still has all its original panels (no accidents) and it’s original running gear. 1978 was the Corvettes twenty fifth anniversary, and all 78s featured silver anniversary nose and fuel door emblems. A new fastback rear window was the most dramatic and noticeable styling change, giving the ten-year-old C3 Corvette body style a fresh lease on life. The fixed-glass fastback benefited both aerodynamics and increased the usable luggage space behind the seats while improving rearward visibility in the bargain. A shade was installed that could be pulled forward to cover the rear compartment to protect cargo and carpet against the unrelenting sun. The tachometer and speedometer were redesigned to match the new “aircraft styled” center console and gauge cluster first seen the previous year. Redesigned interior door panels were also new as well as an actual glove box was added in front of the passenger seat, replacing the map pockets of previous years. Available options now included power door locks, a power antenna, dual rear speakers and a CB radio.[6] The optional convenience group, introduced the previous year, now included intermittent (delay) wipers, floor mats, and the passenger side vanity mirror was an upgraded illuminated unit. The base L-48 engine generated 185 hp (138 kW); Those destined for California or high altitude areas produced 175 hp (130 kW). Gone was the chrome-plated ignition shielding over the distributor, replaced with a metal-lined black plastic unit. The single-snorkel air intake used since 1976 was changed to a dual-snorkel set-up on L-82 equipped cars helping to boost that output to 220 hp (164 kW). L-82 engines were also now fitted with an aluminum intake manifold which saved 24 pounds compared to the cast iron unit of previous years. The Corvette converted to metric tires with the P225/70R15 as standard. Wider P255/60R15 tires were available as an option and required fender trimming from the factory for clearance. The fuel tank capacity increased from 17 gal to 24 gal on all cars. To make room for the larger tank, a smaller (P195/80D15) space saver spare tire was utilized.(source Wikipedia) Don’t miss your opportunity to own a piece of real American built Chevrolet Muscle Car history in our Denver Showroom. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Ft. Lauderdale is proud to present this super cool, rare 1981 Lancia Zagato. The Lancia Beta (Type 828) was an entry-level luxury car produced by Italian car manufacturer Lancia from 1972 to 1984. It was the first new model introduced by Lancia after it had been taken over by Fiat in 1969. The Beta was made in several body styles, namely 4-door fastback saloon (Beta berlina), 4-door three-box, notchback saloon (Beta Trevi), 2-door coupe (Beta Coupe), 2-door targa (Beta Spider), 3-door estate (Beta HPE); a mid-engined sports car was also sold under the Beta name, the Lancia Beta Montecarlo. The two-door convertible called the Zagato also with 2+2 seating. The Lancia Zagato used the coupes shorter wheelbase and featured a targa top roof panel, a roll-over bar and folding rear roof. Early models did not have a cross-member supporting the roof between the tops of the A to B Pillars. Later models had fixed cross-members. Production started in 1975. It was initially powered by either the 1600 or 1800 twin-cam engine, later being replaced by the new 1.6 and 2.0. In Europe, it never received the fuel injected engine, although a fuel injected version was sold in the US market in 1981 and 1982. The Spyder was designed by Pininfarina but actually built by Zagato. The construction process was complex, with coupe bodies-in-white being delivered to Zagato for the roofless conversion, then back to Lancia for rust-proofing, then back to Zagato for paint, interior and trim, and then back to Lancia for a third time for engine installation and final assembly. Lancia probably lost money on every car built. Number built: 9390. In the early 1980s Lancia also produced a small number of Lancia Spyder Volumex (supercharged) cars. This was the last Lancia to be offered in the United States, being the companys sole offering in 1982, their last year in the country. This awesome little car comes at just the right time with good weather just around the corner and is ready to be driven by its new owner. Featuring a bright white exterior color, with a flat black hood, with a red scorpion, that is sure to catch peoples attention wherever you go. The black leather interior is in excellent condition and very comfortable. This car is a Spring or Summer dream in a small package. This 1981 Lancia is so much fun to drive, that you will be speeding all around town both day and night. Powered by a 2.0 1995 CC engine, backed by a 5-speed manual transmission which transfers power to the rear wheels, adding to the control and fun factor of this awesome little roadster. This car is available today and not for too long, so its time for you to pick this up and make some memories behind the wheel! This 1981 Lancia Zagato is at our Ft. Lauderdale Showroom and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com which includes 100+ HD photos and HD video. To see the car in person, it can be seen at our Ft. Lauderdale Showroom located at 2040 NW 126th Ave Suite 108, Coral Springs 33065. Description:

This 3 Owner 1993 Jaguar XJS is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. This beautiful Black Jag is a one s and of a kind find. With its low mileage and unbelievably clean interior this Jag is one to see. With the 93 models being towards the end of the 20-year run they are much more reliable than the ones built in the 70s and 80s. The 90s is when Ford bought out the shareholders and brought in their mass production quality control. The xjs was the flagship car for Fords new Premier line. Sales were not the best with the jaguar line already having a bad wrap/. This extremely clean black jag does retain original paint interior and the wheels. Giving this black beauty a way to tie the bright red interior in with its slick black paint a tasteful red pinstripe was added, the only thing on the car that is not original. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Ft. Lauderdale is very excited to offer this popular 1966 Chevrolet El Camino for sale in our Ft. Lauderdale Showroom. Ford might have been the first to create a pickup truck based on a car by introducing the Ranchero in 1957, most however would credit Chevrolet for increasing the popularity in this style vehicle. The style was based on a two-door station wagon platform that integrated the cab and bed into the body. Now suddenly people could cruise around in something that resembled their buddies Chevelle but still provided them with a working bed, if needed. The major changes to the 1966 included, new sheet metal was used, the same sheet metal they used on the Chevelle. They also featured an updated instrument panel with horizontal sweep speedometer and a few minor interior differences, depending on which version or model you purchased. This 1966 Chevy El Camino is dressed in Tuxedo Black paint with Black interior. This awesome El Camino is packing a 327 CID V8 engine under the hood and is mated to an automatic transmission which makes driving this beautiful black classic a breeze. Options on this 1966 Chevrolet El Camino include AM/FM Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, Rally Wheels. To see 100 plus photos and video of this 1966 Chevrolet El Camino for sale or for more information visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com or to schedule an appointment to view this vehicle in person, please call the Ft. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Denver welcomes this 1974 MG B! A lot of engine gasket work was performed prior to its arrival (Call for the details) The MGB is a two-door sports car manufactured and marketed by the British Motor Corporation (BMC), later the Austin-Morris division of British Leyland, as a four-cylinder, soft-top roadster from 1963 until 1980. Its details were first published on 19 September 1962.[3] Variants include the MGB GT three-door 2+2 coupé (1965–1980), the six-cylinder roadster and coupé MGC (1967–69), and the eight-cylinder 2+2 coupé, the MGB GT V8 (1973–76) 1974.5 to 1980 Early MGBs used the banjo type differential carried over from the MGA with the rear axle ratio reduced from the MGAs 4.1 (or 4.3) to 3.9 to 1. (Compensating for the reduction from 15 inch to 14-inch (360 mm) wheels). MGB GTs first began using a tube-type rear axle in 1967. This unit was substantially stronger, being, like the later gearbox, designed for the three-litre MGC. All MGBs used the tube-type axle from 1968. All MGBs were fitted with 11-inch (280 mm) solid (non-ventilated) disc brakes on the front with drum brakes on the rear. The front brake calipers were manufactured by Lockheed and used two pistons per caliper. The brake system on the MGB GT was the same as the roadster with the exception of slightly larger rear brake cylinders. A single-circuit hydraulic system was used before 1968 when dual-circuit (separate front and rear systems) were installed on all MGBs to comply with US regulations. Servo assistance (power brakes) was not standard until 1975. Many modern and contemporary testers have commented on the very heavy brake pedal pressure needed to stop the non-servo-assisted cars.[citation needed] The MGB initially had an extremely simple electrical system. Dash-mounted toggle switches controlled the lights, ventilation fan, and wipers with only the direction indicators being mounted on a stalk on the steering column. The ignition switch was also mounted on the dash. Like the MGA, the MGB utilized two 6-volt batteries wired in series to give a 12-volt positive earth configuration. The batteries were placed under a scuttle panel behind the seats making access difficult; the location gave excellent weight distribution and thus improved handling. The charging system used a Lucas dynamo. Later MGBs had considerable changes to the electrical system including the use of a single 12-volt battery, a change from positive to negative earth, safety-type toggle (rocker) switches, alternator in lieu of dynamo, additional warning lights and buzzers, and most common functions moved to steering column stalks. From 1972 there were two different Pirelli Cinturato radial tyre sizes factory-fitted to new cars, depending on whether the car was a roadster,(155/80x14) or a GT,(165/80x14).The original tyres for the majority of MG B’s were 165HR14 Pirelli Cinturato.[12] With the 1974.5 arrival of the rubber bumper cars the factory-fitted tyre size was simplified to 165/80x14 for all cars, irrespective of whether the car was a roadster or a GT, and also irrespective of the wheel type (wire or RoStyle). Later on during the rubber bumper production period, alloy wheels were introduced on several different limited edition models - with the final 1,000 LE models being the last cars to leave the factory with alloy wheels. The factory built V8s were fitted with full profile 175HR14 tyres. (Source: WikiPedia) Don’t miss your opportunity to own a piece of real British Motor Company history in our Denver Showroom. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is excited to offer this 1995 Dark Cherry Metallic Chevrolet Impala SS. In 1994 Chevrolet reintroduced the Impala SS name and with it a car that made no compromises. Borrowing parts from its Corvette and Camaro siblings, these cars proved to be the ultimate sleeper sedan. There is no doubt that there are plenty of 90s retro muscle cars left in the wild but few even compare to the stunning original example we have to offer. With just over 9000 actual miles the car has barely been driven past its break in period! Underneath the hood youll find the original LT1 engine borrowed from the Corvette. Different factory touches from the Corvette included cast iron heads and a cam designed for more low end torque ratings, which gave these cars a healthy 260 HP and 330 lbft of torque. The muscular lines of the body paired with the eye catching Dark Cherry Metallic paint make this car instantly recognizable. At all four corners youll find beautiful five spoke aluminum factory wheels. Inside the cabin you will find ample room in the Grey leather interior for multiple guests to join you on your quest to terrorize the streets in this unassuming sedan. If you are in the market for a truly original 90s classic that is sure to become a desirable collectable, then this 1995 Chevy Impala SS is the car for you. Description:

The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 2000 BMW Z3M. The Z3M is often referred to as the M Roadster or M Coupe and can be identified as different from the standard Z3. Differences from the standard Z3 include a more aerodynamic front bumper with no fog lights, a rear bumper designed to fit quad exhausts, temperature and oil gauges in the center console, an M sports steering wheel and gear lever, M seats and 17-inch M wheels. Outside mirrors also have a more aerodynamic design. The front gills on Z3M models are different as well, with a chrome strip running through them. Z3M models did not share cosmetic changes from the facelift, but they had bigger brakes, and the S52 engine replaced the S50 in 2000. This BMW gives you the thrill of M performance with the satisfaction of top down driving. It is certainly the best of both worlds and for some reason you have never experienced M power, then you are missing one of the best power delivery systems ever produced. This 2-owner car has many upgrades including: new Michelin Pilot Sport tires, DGR coil overs, new OEM trailing arm bushings, stainless steel brake lines and water pump, new radiator, new brakes, new Sony Bluetooth radio, and much more.
