Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer this 1981 CJ-5 Jeep Renegade! This one is powered by a 268 CID I6 with a T176 4-speed transmission. It has an AMC 20 and 3:31 gears and has only covered about 5,000 miles since the build. The exterior is finished in black PMG paint with a tan vinyl interior. The build was performed by Houston Gear and the quality is excellent. This Jeep is outfitted with an AM/FM radio, manual convertible top, spare tire, tilt wheel, seat belts, vinyl interior, radial tires, raised white letters and aluminum alloy wheels. The Willys CJ-5 (after 1964 Jeep CJ-5) was influenced by new corporate owner, Kaiser, and the Korean War M38A1 Jeep. It was intended to replace the CJ-3B, but that model continued in production. The CJ-5 repeated this pattern, continuing in production for three decades while three newer models appeared. The CJ-5 has the distinct honor of being a vehicle that was hard to kill off... equaling the longest production run of note. From 1980 to 1983, the CJ-5 came standard with a Hurricane-branded version of the GM Iron Duke I4 with an SR4 close-ratio, four-speed manual transmission. The 258 cu in (4.2 L) AMC straight-6 engine remained available as an option, but the transmission was changed from the Tremec T-150 three-speed to a Tremec T-176 close-ratio four-speed. The Dana 30 front axle was retained, but the locking hubs were changed to a five-bolt retaining pattern versus the older six-bolt. The demise of the AMC CJ5 model has been attributed to a December 1980 60 Minutes segment where the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) staged a demonstration to illustrate that the CJ5 was apt to roll over in routine road circumstances at relatively low speeds. Years later, it was revealed the testers only managed to achieve eight rollovers out of 435 runs through a corner. The IIHS requested the testers implement vehicle loading (hanging weights in the vehicles corners inside the body, where they were not apparent to the camera) to generate worst-case conditions for stability Don’t miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars in Houston for more information. Financing and shipping options are available. Office hours are Monday through Saturday 9-5pm central time. The telephone number for our showroom is (832) 243-6220 or if you prefer, you can email us at houston@gatewayclassiccars.com.

Description:

For sale in our Nashville, Tennessee show room is a pavement pounding 1995 SVT MUSTANG COBRA R, this is the premiere factory built road course Mustang. Over at Ford the SVT engineers developed a more powerful R-model competition package based on the 1995 SVT Cobra. The SVT team replaced the Mustang’s 5.0 small block with a new version of the 351 Windsor small block, developed and designed to produce 300 horsepower and an earth moving 365 ft lbs. of torque. To Handle the torque of the more powerful engine, a TREMEC five-speed manual transmission was installed, as well as a race ready 20 gallon Fuel-Safe fuel cell. True to its purpose, weight savings was key, so there is no back seat, no radio, no air conditioning... not even fog lights! Taking the place of the original fog lights the SVT team are air ducts for channeling cool air to the front brake discs. Heavy-duty progressive-rate springs, thicker stabilizer bars and a front strut tower brace helped improve handling. All said, only 250 vehicles were built, they were available only in white. This 1995 SVT Mustang Cobra R for sale is a prime example of a pedigreed street legal race car. Clean is an understatement, this snake was pampered and always garage kept and with only 7,055 miles on the odometer this car’s whole life is ahead of it. There are a few additions that make this car a real winner and ready for track days, including Momo racing seats and a bolt in harness bar to keep you secure and in control, a Steeda tri-ax shift kit to ensure you never miss a shift, Bassani side exhaust to let that 351w breath, and Toyo R 888 race tires to keep you planted on terra firma through the chicanes. If you’re ready to be First On Race Day… get behind the wheel of this 1995 SVT Mustang Cobra R. For more information please call the Nashville showroom at 615-213-1800 or e-mail us at Nashville@GatewayClassicCars.com

Description:

Fuel injected high output 5.0L V8 and automatic overdrive put this F100 head and shoulders above the rest! Now featured in our Denver showroom is this wildly custom Ford pickup that is sure to turn heads and burn tires. Approximately 5 years ago this pickup was taken down to the frame and completely gone through to make it much more fun and reliable that it was when it came out of the factory in 1963. The front suspension was pulled out of a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am and provides a much sportier feel. Power disc brakes were added to the front for much better stopping power and power steering makes cornering simple. The 5.0L V8 was pulled from a 1990 Ford Mustang and only had roughly 10,000 miles on it when it was put in and currently has approximately 20,000 miles. Putting the power to the ground is a Ford 9” rear end that has a reputation of holding up to whatever can be thrown at it. As you drive this truck around, it is easy to forget you’re in a truck until you look in your mirrors. The ride is excellent and handles very well. The automatic overdrive transmission keeps the RPM’s down while cruising and eases the pain on the wallet when you get to the pump. This truck is not just performance oriented though, as you drive it around the creature comforts incorporated including leather interior, an upgraded AM/FM stereo, power windows, and air conditioning for the hot days. The body has also had custom work done to it including frenched taillights, power antenna sunk into the corners of the cab, and custom front fenders with a surprise in the scoops. As you pull into the car show, flip the switch under the dash and turn on the strobe lights hidden in the ports on the fenders! This truck turns a lot of heads and is a blast to cruise. If you are looking for a classic pickup and would prefer something custom and more reliable this may be the perfect one for you! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1963 Ford F100 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1964 Chevrolet K10 4X4. This only has 3,000 miles since the frame up restoration. This K-10 features 283 Cubic Inch V8 engine mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. There is less than 3,000 miles on this truck since the motor was rebuilt. The carburetor is new along with the radiator. The radial tires with raised white letters are wrapped around aluminum wheels. The brakes are new on this, along with the cylinders. The new red paint job looks fantastic. The interior of red cloth in this truck is in excellent condition as well. The first All GM factory 4x4s were introduced in 1960 when both Chevy and GMC went to a totally new chassis. This was the introduction of GMs completely redesigned truck line featuring independent front suspension on the two-wheel drive trucks and a 4-wheel drive specific chassis on the 4-wheel drive trucks. Since 1957, trucks were available from the factory as four-wheel drive, and the new class scheme would make this known. A C (conventional) in front of the series number indicates two-wheel rear drive while a K denotes four-wheel drive. This Chevy K10 is in great condition and you will be proud to take it anywhere. Cruising around town with one hand on the wheel and the other resting on the window sill will remind you of the good ol days! During the restoration they put on all new metal cab corners, rocker panels, drip rail. The bed of the K-10 is a custom build with new wood. Options on this 64 K10 include: Vinyl Interior, Air Conditioning, Aluminum Wheels, Radial Tires, Cloth and Vinyl Interior and Seat Belts. This is the one you want to own. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1929 Ford Woody Station Wagon. The 1929 Model A Woody Station wagon was built in extremely low production numbers and was very expensive when sold to the public. Most have decayed away to nothing while others have been restored to better than new standards with the price tag to prove it. This example is a well-built 29 Model A Station Wagon that was built on a 112” wheel base. The body itself consists of a Maple frame with Birch panels giving it a very distinct look. The fenders, hood, grill, and cowl section are all real steel parts. The two tone green paint finish the exterior nicely and give the car a custom yet original look. The 15’ Cragar are the classic choice and really compliment the cars design. Under the hood is where things are again modern yet old school. Yes, the car has an inline 4 just like the old days but this inline 4 is OHC design and a Nissan engine. It even has the 2 plugs per cylinder design and gets the Woody up to speed quickly. The 5-speed transmission has a hydraulic clutch that allows for smooth shifts with the extra gear allowing for ample speeds even with the 4:10 gears. The stance on the woody was accomplished by 4” drop axles up front and a set of adjustable coil overs on the rear. Open the door and the custom interior is clean and comfortable. The power windows are a nice touch and not something you thought you would see. If you have been wanting a street rod that is different than the mainstream yet still cool and iconic this 1929 Ford Woody is a great mix of both. Options on this 1929 Ford Woody include; Cloth Interior, Tilt Wheel, Power Windows, and Aluminum Wheels with Radial tires. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to present this 1953 Chevy 3100. What happened to the days of dirt roads? What happened to the days of drive-in movies? What happened to the days of cruising the countryside with all of your friends loaded in the back of your truck? Well, those days may be long gone, but you can still experience and reminisce driving in this beautiful 1953 Chevrolet 3100. This gorgeous truck is a ground-up restoration, to truly reflect the fantastic styles created between the days of past and present. This truck is far from original which makes it a real work of art. Make sure you hold on tight because this 3100 has plenty of “get up and go.” Perched atop a Nova sub-frame, this slick pick-up is packing a Chevy small block. It does not stop there – mated to the small block is a 3-speed automatic transmission, and a Nova rear finishes off the drivetrain of this resto-mod. You can Hot Rod around town or cruise down the interstate at a relaxing 70 miles per hour. Braking in this beautiful truck will not be an issue either; disc brakes are located on all four corners of this truck. The paint is done in a beautiful blue finish, with painted running boards to match. As you follow down the line into the bed, it has been re-finished in stained wood paneling, lined with stainless steel runners. This truck is a multi-function vehicle since you can drive this to the car show and win some trophies, and drive to the store and get your groceries! Take a gander in the cabin, and you will quickly notice grey tone cloth interior that offsets the blue exterior graciously. The inside accessories sport Dakota Gauges which will help you monitor all the vitals of this 1953 Chevy 3100. The interior is tastefully done to make its participants comfortable, yet it still retains a classic simplistic feel. Everyone can take a Chevy 3100 and restore it to factory condition, but the real beauty of this truck comes from a vision. You must see a finished version before you start. How you execute the concept shows the genius behind the thought. This truck shows well and looks like a modern-day version of itself. Options include AM/FM Radio, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Cloth interior, Redial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. Description:

Up for sale in our Houston showroom is one very clean 1965 Ford Mustang convertible is actually a 1964.5 F code. This 1964.5 Mustang is part of the first generation Ford produced from 1964 until 1969. Within the first production year more than 417,000 Mustangs were sold, setting a new record for a new model from Detroit; not to mention creating an entire class of automobiles by itself. These cars had sporty long hoods, along with short rear short decks, and became the progenitor of the Pony Car market. The ’65 Mustang was the beginning of a market that still is going strong today, with Camaros, Challengers, Cougars, Barracudas and more joining the fray in the early years. This good-looking 1965 Mustang is equipped with a 260 C.I.D V8 (F-CODE) and a 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine was recently rebuilt with about 1000 miles on it since, and its convertible top frame and top have been rebuilt & replaced, as well. This Mustang has a nice white exterior that is free from any major dings or dents. A few small ones, but the car has not had much, if any, body work done to it. The bumpers, trim, emblems, grill, & glass are in good condition. The original wheels are in great shape and the tires have plenty of life in them. The body panels are straight & the doors open & close with ease. The very nice red interior is beautiful and contrasts well against the Wimbledon white paint and really makes the car show well. The seats are comfortable and free from tears or rips. Door panels, dash, & carpet also show very well and look almost new. Seatbelts for all seats in this car so grab some friends, put the top down and go check out a movie. Description:

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a Chestnut Metallic 1962 Ford Thunderbird Coupe. The Chestnut Metallic exterior paint stands proud and is matched beautifully with the Chestnut vinyl interior. The interior design of these third generation Thunderbirds was years ahead of its time. It is a wonderful blend of elegance and class, and still puts bystanders in awe today. One of the coolest features of these Thunderbirds is the swing away steering column that creates easier entry and exit for the driver. Powering this 62’ T-Bird is the original 390 CID V8 engine that is mated to the original automatic transmission. A Ford 9” rear end house 3.00 gears and transfers the power to the pavement via the white wall radial tires. The 390 V8 has received tasteful upgrades including an aftermarket fuel injection system, a chrome air filter, and chrome valve covers. For safety, the car also utilizes a dual master cylinder, and disc brakes. Additionally, the stock headlights have been upgraded to provide visibility at night as well as a slick look with “halo” running lights. The odometer reads 88,096, which represents the actual mileage on the car. Options for this 1962 Ford Thunderbird include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Cruise Control, Keyless Entry, Seat Belts, Swing Away Tilt Steering Wheel, Vinyl Interior, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, White Wall Radial Tires, and Hub Caps. This is a great example of a well maintained and nicely upgraded third generation Ford Thunderbird. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to offer this sporty platinum silver 2005 Ford Thunderbird with a removable hardtop. After a five-year hiatus, Ford re-introduced its retro-futuristic 11th generation (2002-2005) Ford Thunderbird according to the 1st generation formula, as a two-seat coupe/convertible layout reminiscent of the first-generation. This 11th generation Thunderbird was built on the same platform as the Lincoln LS and Jaguar S-Type. It also shared an instrument panel, steering wheel, and other trim pieces with the Lincoln LS. The sole engine of the Thunderbird was a Jaguar-designed AJ-30 3.9 L DOHC V8, a short-stroke variant of the Jaguar AJ-26 4.0 L V8, making 252 horsepower and 267 lbs·ft of torque. The engine was mated to Fords 5R55N 5-speed automatic transmission. This particular 2005 Ford Thunderbird has been kept in excellent condition. It only has a little over 41K miles and looks like it drove off the showroom floor. The chromes wheels look great with the Silver paint. One of the most attractive features about the 11th generation Thunderbird is the round rear window in the hard-top giving it that classic look. The removable hardtop on this Thunderbird is in awesome condition. The interior condition matches the appearance of low usage that the exterior has. The leather seats do not show any excessive wear, the dash looks great, all the gauges and instruments function as new, and there are no noticeable scratches, tears or odors. Mechanically, this 2005 Ford Thunderbird has all the power and ambition it had as when it first rolled off the assembly line. It runs smooths, changes gears seamlessly, and turns on a dime. This 2005 Ford Thunderbird is for sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this beautiful 2004 Convertible Ford Mustang Cobra SVT. Almost of soon as these factory supercharged ponies left the factory, they became legends. Showroom is a 2004 SVT Mustang Cobra. Dubbed the “Terminator” by the SVT engineering team these 32-Valve DOHC, supercharged 4.6L V8, monsters dominated the streets. Many believe the 390 advertised horsepower was well underrated for what the Cobra sported from the factory. Its performance was way beyond virtually any previous Mustang, save for the rare and expensive 00 Cobra R and a few big-block Stangs of an era gone by. It featured forged pistons and Manley rods, which racers would normally term as a built short-block. This gave the bottom-end superior strength, and with some simple upgrades and allowed Cobra engines to reach the 800-900hp level. This beautiful example has only 69500 miles on the odometer. The black paint is in excellent shape. The black interior looks to be in very good shape as well with no visible tears or rips. Under the hood, the 32 valve Supercharged 4.6 liter engine is clean and shows no major signs of modifications. Please note there is a Snow Performance Water-Methanol injection kit located in the trunk, so it is safe to say, some aftermarket work has been performed on this beauty. The manual 6-Speed transmission has been rebuilt by Anderson Automatic transmission and has about 19000 miles on it. Options for this 2004 Convertible Ford Mustang SVT include; Power Convertible Top, Seat belts, anti-theft system, AC, aluminum alloy wheels, anti-lock brakes, FM/AM radio, CD player, cruise control, customer wheels, driver airbag, leather interior, passenger airbag, performance tires, power door locks, power seats, power steering, power windows, remote keyless entry, radial tires, traction control, tilt wheel, and is numbers matching. Description:

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is the custom classic 1960 Chevrolet El Camino. 1960 was the 2nd year of El Camino and production was sadly put to a stop until 1964. The El Camino then came back with a vengeance and was in production from ’64 – ’87. The custom machine is powered by a 350 CID V8 that’s paired to a Turbo 350 Automatic transmission. The car has recently had an all new dual exhaust system added to give the car a nice aggressive sound. Peeking into the engine bay you’ll see it features a fair number of chromed components to give it some flare. This El Camino is said to be just a 3-owner car and has been a southern car through the years. The car is sitting on a nice set of custom wheels that are in good condition. With drilled and slotted front disk brakes and rear drums this car doesn’t have an issue coming to a halt. Walking around the car you will find some nicely done white pin striping to accent the curves of the car. All the chrome trim is in good condition and shows well. The bed is lined in white paneling to flow with the pin striping as well as the interior. The interior has been completely restored and has been nicely done. The seats, and door panels have been custom made in a blue and white color combination. One great benefit to the car is the cold blowing A/C to keep you cool on the hot summer days. For even more information on this 1960 Chevrolet El Camino located in our Houston showroom come by and see us or contact the showroom at (832)243-6220 or email the showroom at Houston@GatewayClassicCars.com

Description:

Now available in our DFW-Showroom is this splendid 1950 MG TD. MG’s TC roadster sold well initially and proved American demand for an English sports car, but the car’s right-hand-drive configuration and 1930s specifications meant it was ripe for a redesign by 1950. In response, Syd Enever and Alec Hounslow took two weeks in 1949 to strip a four-seat Y-Type Tourer and shorten the chassis five inches. Just like that, the MG TD roadster was born. The TD also carried a few modifications aimed at the U.S. market. Specifically, left-hand drive was offered, along with rack-and-pinion steering, smaller, 15-inch steel disc wheels (no wire wheels were offered), and larger bumpers. In turn, the car was wider and 200 pounds heavier than the TC. Keeping with its predecessor, the TD’s weather protection was minimal. This MG TD was fully restored in 2009 by K&C Seippel, (marked by the brass plaque on the firewall). After that, the fuel tank was cleaned and sealed around 2012. It also received a new coil and master cylinder in 2012. This vehicle has won multiple awards at different car-shows over the years and even have the plaques in the glove-box to prove it. This unique ride certainly stands out in a crowd and is a great conversation starter, don’t let this opportunity pass you by. To view this vehicle in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and videos, visit our website at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information on this 1950 MG TD, email us at dallas@gatewayclassiccars.com or call 817-310-9400.
