Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is very proud to offer this beautiful 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner. After spending most of its life as a clean driver, this awesome B-Body was the perfect starting point for a professional, rotisserie restoration that mixed a killer engine with classic MoPar attitude. The cars straight body was stripped to bare metal, fitted to a few floor pan patches and finished with a fresh trunk pan. Once those planes were completely clean and fully prepped, quality PPG base-coat was detailed with custom Road Runner graphics and sealed in glossy clear. And today, this primed and polished Plymouth sits as one super slick road warrior that features a perfect combination of no-nonsense looks and vicious street manners. Admittedly, the Road Runner was a little more ambiguous than its Dodge-branded siblings, but a lot of people like that contrast and dig the models super clean looks. At the front of this coupe, a black-trimmed, body-width grille hangs four H4 headlights above a mirrored bumper and clear parking lamps. Above that grille, a familiar A12-style hood flows to like-new glass thats sandwiched between fresh stainless trim, silver stainless wipers and filled cowl. At the sides of that hood, subtly sculpted panels hang a chrome drivers mirror above shaved fenders, shaved doors and sectioned quarters. And at the back of those panels, a clean decklid centers a color-keyed wing above factory-fresh taillights and a second mirrored bumper. * 500 cubic inch big block V8 * Tremec TKO600 5-speed manual transmission * 8.75-inch rear axle / Posi-traction differential / 3.91 gears * Custom leather interior * Power steering * Wilwood 4-wheel power disc brakes * Upgraded suspension * Billet Specialties SLG wheels * Slight body modifications * Pioneer / Kicker audio What do you do when you have a sweet MoPar muscle car that needs a heart transplant? You call Alpharetta, Georgias Grimes Automotive Machine and order something akin to this Plymouths 500 cubic inch Chrysler big block. According to 2013 dyno results, that mill, essentially a bored, stroked and built 440, moves to the tune of 579 dyno-proven horsepower and 625 lb./ft. of tire-spinning torque! At the top of the block, a K&N XStream air cleaner forces wind in to a big Holley carburetor thats cinched to braided fuel lines. At the base of that carb, a MoPar intake feeds air and fuel to Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, which have been ported, polished and treated to a multi-angle valve job. Beneath those heads, forged internals, which include an Eagle crank, Scat rods and Wiseco pistons, combine with roller lifters, roller rockers and a custom-grind Comp hydraulic roller cam to create stout 10.5 to 1 compression. That compression is sparked by an MSD Pro-Billet distributor, which sequences fire between an MSD Blaster 2 coil and MSD Super Conductor plug wires. When that fire flashes, Hooker Super Competition headers ensure the engine breathes well. At the front of those headers, snazzy March serpentine components spin a billet power steering pump and polished Powermaster alternator at the sides of a quality Edelbrock water pump. At the front of the engine bay, a proven Griffin radiator makes good use of dual SPAL puller fans. Theres an impressive roster of hardware that includes, but isnt limited to, a Milodon windage tray, a Wilwood master cylinder and tough ARP bolts. And aesthetically, the Jet Black mill provides an excellent contrast to the cars bright red fenders, with details like tubular chassis supports, color-keyed Mopar Performance valve covers and intricate breathers supplementing power with polish. Like its slick exterior and clean engine bay, the bottom of this coupe is a great combination of past and present. The powerful engine sends thrust to a Keisler-sourced Tremec TKO600 5-speed that enables the car to comfortably attain highway speeds. That proven transmission twists a tough Keisler driveshaft and familiar 8.75-inch axle, which spin a posi-trac differential around big, 3.91 gears. That awesome drive-train rides between beefy sway bars, Fatman drop spindles, modern coil-overs, small lowering blocks and Competition Engineering shocks. Turns come courtesy of factory-style power steering. Power-assisted Wilwood calipers provide stops. 3-inch exhaust employs electronic cutouts in front of dual-chamber Flowmaster mufflers. Torque meets the pavement through polished Billet Specialties SLGs, which spin 245/45ZR18 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs in front of 295/45ZR18 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs. Naturally, the cars painted frame and undercoated floors are solid and display no signs of major rust or serious weathering. And yes, in typical resto-mod fashion, theres a roster of great finishing components, including stainless fluid lines, polygraphite bushings and sturdy subframe connectors. Pop this Plymouths tight-fitting doors and youll find a custom leather interior that plays on the cars incredible aesthetic. An attractive bucket and bench combo has, like the rest of the cockpit, been decked in clean, silver accents that do a great job of mimicking snakeskin. In front of those mitts, a custom, color-keyed dash hangs Auto Meter Ultra-Lite II telemetry beside an MP3-compatible Pioneer head unit that controls Kicker speakers, a Kicker amplifier and Kicker sub-woofers. At the base of that dash, a custom console centers a TKO Pistol Grip shifter in front of a broad armrest, a small fire extinguisher and metal cup holders. Beneath that console, tight carpet bridges the gap between machined foot pedals, stainless sill plates and body-matched doorjambs. At the edges of that carpet, custom door panels hang polished handles between glossy frames, snakeskin armrests and small switches for modern power windows. In front of the driver, a polished and half-wrapped Billet Specialties steering wheel was specifically chosen to match the cars rolling stock. And behind the Dynamat-wrapped cockpit, a custom, Road Runner-themed trunk features plenty of room for car show supplies. Description:

1966 Mercedes-Benz 600 Short Wheelbase for sale. Motorcar Classics is proud to offer this rare and distinguished of Mercedes flagship 1965 600 Short Wheelbase sedan. Featured in dark grey with grey leather interior this car has documented restoration and maintenance receipts in the past decade totaling over $185,000. It has been brought to the superb cosmetic and operating condition in which we offer it without respect to cost. The work has been done by respected 600-series experts Karl H. Middelhauve and Star Motors. It is powered by Mercedes formidable 6.3L 250HP V8 with 4-speed automatic transmission. It is one of just 323 600s produced in 1966.According to Classic & Sportscar magazine, In an age when flaunting your wealth wasn't a crime, the 600 was the automotive equivalent of Monaco. It's a masterpiece of engineering, a quantum leap over its opposition, and redefines the word opulence. Introduced in September 1963 at the Frankfurt International Motor Show, the all-new 600 represented state-of-the-art automotive engineering in just about every department. The supremely well-equipped newcomer featured an overhead-camshaft, fuel-injected, 6.3-liter V8 engine - Mercedes' first - air suspension with variable ride control, four-speed automatic transmission, all-round disc brakes, power-assisted steering, central locking, and separate air conditioning systems for front and rear compartments. Its cosseted occupants also enjoyed the advantages conferred by multi-way adjustable seating powered by a sophisticated system of hydraulics that also operated the windows and assisted in opening/closing the doors and boot lid. The most popular version was the short wheelbase sedan that could seat up to six passengers. The long-wheelbase Pullman limousine - a veritable leviathan exceeding 20' in length and beloved of Heads of State and Popes - could accommodate up to eight. Despite its not inconsiderable weight, the 600 was endowed with highly respectable performance, reaching 60mph in a little under 10 seconds and exceeding 125mph flat out. Only 2,677 examples had been made when production ceased in 1981, of which 2,190 were four-door saloons, 428 were Pullman limousines, and 59 were landaulettes. The luxuriously appointed Mercedes-Benz 600 short wheelbase we offer has been the benefactor of dutiful ownership. The wonderful state of the vehicles grey leather interior, wood, and trimmings is the result of its previous owner, Robert Berlin, commencing a refurbishment of the interior along with additional mechanical work via Karl H. Middelhauve. After being purchased by the current owner roughly a decade ago, the work on the vehicle was continued. Well known amongst the marques enthusiasts, Star Motors of Endicott New York was made responsible for sorting out the hydraulic and air suspension systems. In addition, the gas tank and surrounding components were replaced, and the engine received a tune up. Lastly, the Becker Grand Prix radio, was further rebuilt. The history file includes over $185,000 in detailed receipts!Quite possibly the most advanced car of the 1960s, the Mercedes 600 is still a wonder today. The suppleness of the ride, powerful motor, and luxuriously appointed interior make for a truly timeless motoring experience. Such a well sorted example, thanks to the efforts of renowned marque specialists, makes for a desirable proposition indeed. Do not miss this opportunity to get behind the wheel of one of Mercedes-Benzs finest creations.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this cool 1968 Volkswagen Beetle. Many will say the Bug is responsible for what we know as the interstate highway system that we have today. In the early 30’s a crazy man in Germany wanted to make a “high-speed” system of roads to move people and product through his country. Little did we know at the time this man would become to known as the Furor and the real reason for these roads was to move troops quickly. I think we know how that worked out for him, not very well. Unlike Adolf the Bug would live on for many decades to come and much like him have a colt following that lives on today. This 1968 Beetle, Bug, or people mover is a notable example of why people fell in love with these little, almost indestructible cars. Sporting its flashy red paint and accented with those classic chrome bumpers it gets as many looks as cars twice its price. The roof rack with its stained wood gives it an original classic look. The matching deck lid rack only adds to the appeal. Under that deck lid a brand new, not rebuilt, 1600CC engine is tucked away making this a great candidate for your teen’s first car. Open the doors and you will notice the classic interior is in very good condition. Yet still the part that gets me is this car is a radio delete car. If you go underneath the car you will notice that the floorboards are spotless. Unlike many VW’s that have anything from house siding to stop signs these floorboards are original to the car. The original owner’s manual and toolkit are in the trunk something else you rarely see with one of these beauties. If you have been thinking about getting a great classic car that will always be in style or classic that is a blast to drive but doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to do so this little piece of history will be a perfect fit. Options on this 1968 Volkswagen Beetle include; Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, Hubcaps, and Radial Tires. This 1968 Volkswagen Bug is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (812)294-1555 or email us at Louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer this 1966 Ford LTD for sale. This full-sized Ford luxury car, four door hardtop will bring you back in time to a much simpler, automotive driving era. When Ford entered the lower-priced field of luxury cars in 1965 with the then-new LTD, they already had several price levels of luxury from the Lincoln Continental to the Mercury Park Lane. Car buyers responded favorably by buying 68,038 cars in the introductory year, and another 69,400 in its sophomore year, of which this Wimbledon White Model 57F is one of. With a contrasting interior of cloth and vinyl in burgundy, this was truly a great road car, and its exterior color of white shows the purity of the car as well as the time it was made. Equipped with the 390 CID engine and the new C-6 three speed automatic transmission, this cruiser is also fully loaded with many desirable options. It has a history that can be traced back to the original owner in Colorado. Its been repainted but remains mostly original. The four-door hardtop body style is something well never see Detroit do again; they really are elegant when all of the windows are down. A stylish, yet practical car ready to take you to wherever you want to go in high class fashion. Driving this car makes your day. You will forget to pick things up from the store on purpose just so you can go back as an excuse to drive this car. You will wake up early for work just to take a longer route to spend more time in this sweet ride. Our 1966 Ford LTD for sale includes: Seat belts, AC, cloth interior, power steering, radial tires, numbers matching. This car drives so well I might just buy it myself. Description:

The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1979 Lincoln Continental for sale. This 400 cubic inch V8 3 speed automatic Continental is good running and makes for this Blue on Blue Lincoln a great cruiser. This Lincoln had the front brakes replaced, rebuilt carburetor, new spark plugs, A/C repair, master cylinder replaced, brake system flushed, and an engine tune-up. After 5 years on the market, Lincoln made an extensive revision to the Continental. Coinciding with the 1975 introduction of the Mercury Grand Marquis, Lincoln and Mercury sought to better visually differentiate their two flagship model lines, in spite of their mechanical commonality. As part of the revision, the Lincoln Continental was able to adopt a greater degree of styling commonality with the Continental Mark IV. For 1975, the exterior of the Lincoln Continental underwent a major revision. Although the body below the beltline saw only minor change, the taillights redesigned in the style of the Mark IV, the roofline was completely restyled. To separate itself from the Mark IV, the two-door Continental/Town Coupe adopted a fully pillared roofline with a square opera window in the C-pillar. In place of the pillared hardtop shared with the Mercury Marquis and Ford LTD, the four-door Continental/Town Car adopted a wide B-pillar; to distinguish itself from the Cadillac Sixty Special Brougham; Town Cars were given the oval opera window introduced on the Mark IV. For 1978, the dashboard was updated for the first time, as the Lincoln Continental adopted a revised version of the Mercury Grand Marquis dashboard. In addition to increasing parts commonality, the update was done to save weight; the plastic-frame Mercury dashboard was lighter than the previous steel-frame version. In a similar move, Lincoln redesigned the rear fender skirts, adopting a version that covered less of the rear wheels. For 1979, the interior underwent further updating, as the Mercury-sourced dashboard received additional wood trim. The 460 V8 was deleted from the Lincoln/ Mark V model line entirely, leaving the 400 V8 as the sole engine. Options include: AC, AM/FM radio, cassette, cruise control, power steering, power locks, power seats, power windows, tilt wheel, power mirrors, seat belts, leather interior, rally wheels, radial tires. This example is a very clean well-maintained car with under 45000 actual miles. Description:

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a fourth generation 1984 Chevrolet Corvette. The odometer on this Corvette reads 31,185 which represents the actual mileage. Options for this 1984 Chevrolet Corvette include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, Targa Top, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Seats, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. Powering this 84 Corvette is the original 350 CID Cross Fire Injection V8 engine. A 700R4 automatic transmission transfers the power to the rear tires flawlessly. The Cross Fire Injection (CFI) a very reliable and easy to tune engine. This Corvette features an awesome black on red color combination. The original black exterior paint shows some age, but does retain lots of shine. The red leather interior shows minimal wear, slight wear on the drivers seat, but overall is in very good condition. The fourth generation Corvette, or C4, was produced by Chevrolet from 1984 to 1996, and was a complete redesign from the previous generation. A new chassis, a more modern, sleek design was incorporated. The emphasis for the launch of the C4 was suspension and handling. An all-independent suspension with lightweight components and wheels, as well as all new brakes with aluminum calipers brought that idea to life. The front coil springs from the C3 were replaced with a transverse fiberglass mono-leaf spring, which reduced the weight by a third, and also created an anti-roll bar-like effect in the front. The C4 did not utilize a separate body-on-frame construction like the previous generations, it used a uniframe. A GM design which was a traditional perimeter frame, with the windshield frame, door posts, halo, and rear segment of the floor pan integrated into a single welded assembly. This Corvette has received a recent service with all the essentials being checked over, and is ready for a road trip. To view this 1984 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis showroom.
