Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a beautifully restored 1964 Ford Falcon Futura. This little beauty started life with an inline 6 and a 2 speed automatic but it has come a long way since. The car has been completely stripped down to a shell, mounted to a rotisserie, and restored from the ground up. The measly 6 cylinder has been swapped out for a proper 289 CID V8 backed by a 3 speed automatic and an 8” rear end. With 3.51 gears, this car is just as comfortable around town as it is out on the interstate. In addition to the upgraded drive train, the body has been straightened and smoothed and a slick coat of Artic White applied. The car wears the color well and it rides on polished 5 spoke wheels to complete the updated look. The color scheme continues inside where you will find custom interior upholstery in white and red which covers the front buckets, rear seats, and door panels. Pop the hood and you’re greeted by a beautifully dressed Ford 289 with just enough shine to show off a bit, without going over the top. You’ll find power steering, power brakes, and plenty of performance goodies. The underside of this Falcon is nearly as clean as the top thanks to the rotisserie restoration. If you’re looking for a well-equipped, properly restored, classic Ford, here she is! You can see this 1964 Ford Falcon Futura in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or STL@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

Description:

Now for sale in Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is this modernized and beefy 1984 LS1 powered GMC C-10. One of the irritations with older vehicles is the difficulty of starting a carbureted engine in cold weather, carb tuning and cleaning and general maintenance that goes along with it. The LS1 engine is a modern all aluminum V8 that takes away the headaches of the older designed power plants. Not only is it more reliable, but it is also much better on fuel and allows for generation of big power along with lightweight design. The LS1 is combined with a fantastic and smooth shifting 4L60 transmission. The truck has a posi rear end with 3:42 gearing which allows for great traction and low rpms on the highway. You might want to think of this truck as a modern Trans Am but with the utility of a truck. Best of both worlds! The truck is finished with a white PPG paint and beautiful tan leather interior. It gives the truck a very luxurious feel throughout. Power brakes, power steering, CD player, leather, tilt wheel, alloy wheels and radial tires. All features that you will find on this truck. This is known as the third generation of the Chevrolet/GMC C-10. The third-generation trucks are colloquially known as the Square-body or Box-body generation. GMs official Rounded-Line moniker highlighted the pickups rounded styling cues that were incorporated into the design. This included rounded windshield corners, rounded corners of the cab roof, rounded-corner doors which cut high into the cab roof eliminating roof height, slanted front fenders, and rounded pickup box corners which allowed for rounded wraparound taillamps, a first for GM pickups. The design also featured strong distinctive curved shoulder lines which rounded out below the beltline. The curved shoulder line continued across the back tailgate on Chevrolet Fleetside and GMC Wideside models. However, the low slope of the hood and rectangular front end of the truck originated the square/box-body nickname, which was propagated through truck magazines and word of mouth. GMs design engineers fashioned the Rounded-line exterior in an effort to help improve aerodynamics and fuel efficiency, using wind tunnel technology to help them sculpt the body. Other design traits include sleek sculpted body work, an aerodynamic cab with steep windshield rake, and a unique available hidden radio antenna embedded into the windshield glass. You will be hard pressed to find another third generation LS1 powered GMC C-10 that is as nice as this throughout. It has been meticulously built and taken care of. Please reach out to the Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom at (832) 243-6220 to learn more about the truck or to learn about purchase and finance options. You can visit the truck in person at 1910 Cypress Station Dr Suite 200, Houston, TX 77090. To see all the HD pictures and video please go to http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/HOU/1164/1984-GMC-C-10 We look forward to hearing from you!

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a very well built 1939 Chevrolet Tudor Street Rod. This street rod has been lovingly assembled to be one bad street terrorizing machine. The rod sits on a professionally built chassis with a lot of support to handle a ton of horsepower if it even needed to. The front end has a dropped straight axle, and the rear has a custom 4 link set up. The front has disc brakes, with drums in the rear. She rides on a refinished set of vintage American Racing wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson rubber and Drag radials in the rear. The body has been beautifully restored with Dupont Chroma Pearl Yellow that really pops in the sunlight. The body has been chopped for a more aggressive look, but it still provides plenty of headroom. The panel gaps fit very nicely and the doors close like a much newer vehicle. It has a custom flame scheme for a retro look and as a neat touch, the flames even cover the underside of the front fenders. To match, the interior has been upholstered in bright yellow as well. Theres two buckets and the rear houses a welded in roll bar. The Chevy even has a custom Pete and Jakes steering wheel. Under the hood is a nicely dressed 454 CID Big Block V8. It wears finned aluminum valve covers which are vintage Moon items. The 454 is fairly stock, runs well on pump gas, and makes a great cruiser. The transmission is a TH400 with a shift kit that shifts nice and firm. The engine breathes through 3 stainless exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers unless you oncork the side exits which allow for much more noise. Overall this is a well thought out, well put together street rod. She will come with records from the previous 3 owners, as well as receipts, all contained in a 3-ring binder. She has a new convertible top, rear calipers, and new brake lines. The car was repainted some time ago, and still shows well. The Corvettes specialty is clearly stated on its invitation. No other production sports car is so smooth and manageable at its limits and none will cover for the drivers mistakes as quickly and easily as will the Corvette. It understeers but only a little considering the power it has on tap. And the on-and-off power and the straight-to-curve transitions are gradual and smooth. Consequently, it is a very quick car over the road, faster than any other at the same price. Its comfortable. Everybody fits into the cockpit except for the very tall. The controls are a pleasure to use. But more than anything else, the Corvettes composure in high-speed touring situations must be credited to the design. Options include: posi-traction rear end, power steering, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, a/c, am/fm radio, leather interior, rally wheels, radial tires, and the optional luggage rack. Description:

Milwaukee is pleased to present a beautiful 2005 Chevrolet Corvette in a stunning Lemans Blue with Charcoal interior. It features an LS2 motor backed by a 6 speed manual transmission. It has only 30K miles on this beauty. It also features the Z51 package with run flats. With that said the C6 DID bring a new, higher level of interior sophistication and quality above the C5. As a result of the upgraded interior, the C6 had a slight increase in passenger hip room. It also sported an updated LS1/LS6 engine now called the LS2. This engine was primarily an LS1/LS6 with a bump in displacement from 5.7L to 6.0 liters. The increased displacement of the 6.0 bumped the LS2s horsepower up by 50 BHP over its LS1 progenitor, but it was still 5 BHP less than the upgraded LS6 engine found in the previous C5 Z06. The LS2 was now at 364 cu in, and it produced 400 bhp (300 kW) at 6000 rpm and 400 lbft (540 Nm) at 4400 rpm, giving the vehicle a 060 mph time of under 4.2 seconds. Its top speed was 190 mph (310 km/h). This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this beautiful 2005 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. This T sits on Weld Racing Rodlite wheels with some big fat bias-ply Mickey Thompsons on the back, and smaller Nexen radials up front. Disc brakes adorn all for corners, and coil over shocks are in the rear to provide as nice a ride as possible for this T-Bucket. Description:

The year is 1955, The popular Western show Gunsmoke debuts on television., while this gorgeous black T-Bird Convertible rolls into showrooms for sale. This two-owner convertible now only has 77,854 actual miles. And was recently rebuilt in 2012. The Ford Thunderbird began life in February 1953 in direct response to Chevrolets new sports car, the Corvette, which was publicly unveiled in prototype form just a month before. Under rapid development, the Thunderbird went from idea to prototype in about a year, being unveiled to the public at the Detroit Auto Show on February 20, 1954. It was a two-seat design available with a detachable fiber glass hard top and a folding fabric top. Production of the Thunderbird began later in 1954 on September 9 with the car beginning sales as a 1955 model on October 22, 1954. Though sharing some design characteristics with other Fords of the time, such as single, circular headlamps and tail lamps and modest tailfins, the Thunderbird was sleeker and more athletic in shape, and had features like a hood scoop and a 150-mph speedometer hinting a higher performance nature that other Fords didnt possess. Mechanically though, the Thunderbird could trace its roots to other mainstream Fords. Though inspired by, and positioned directly against, the Corvette, Ford billed the Thunderbird as a personal car, putting a greater emphasis on the cars comfort and convenience features rather than its inherent sportiness. The Thunderbird sold exceptionally well in its first year. In fact, the Thunderbird outsold the Corvette by more than 23-to-one for 1955 with 16,155 Thunderbirds sold against 700 Corvettes. With the Thunderbird considered a success, few changes were made to the car for 1956.
