Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1986 Mercury Capri. ASC American Sunroof Corporation, now known as American Specialty Cars, produced several conversions of Mercury Capris from 1984 to 1986. Along with convertible conversions, hatchbacks were restyled (renamed as coupes by the company). Of only 245 total McLarens built that year, this White Convertible with a tan top and tan leather interior is one of only 12 that were produced with these options in 1986 making this car rare as well as cool. This car is believed to be a 1-Owner all original version. The Motor is a 5.0L V8 being backed by a 4-Speed automatic transmission. This car looks very good in its Oxford white original color paint and with its tan leather interior. These might have been the Mustangs little brother, but they sure did hold their own in the 80s when McLaren got ahold of them. Options on this 1986 Mercury Capri include: AC, AM/FM w/Cassette, Auto Convertible Top, Spare Tire, Cruise, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Locks, Power Windows, Tilt, Wheel, Seat Belts, Leather Interior and Aluminum Alloy wheels with Radial Tires. Description:

For sale in our Nashville showroom is a 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente. Sitting in a parking space at rest this two door Mercury Comet looks like a great driver that was transported through time from 1967 and just popped out today in 2019. It could be waiting for the lady of the house to exit the Safeway with the weeks groceries. Or perhaps the car a Father purchased for his Daughters College years. The Comet in its time was considered a small car that was economical to buy and easy on the wallet at the gas pump. This 1964 Caliente for sale is dress in a slight off-white color that gives it a classy look. Black Vinyl interior adds to the look. So if you walked past this parked car in 1967, you might dismiss it as “just another car, you would have been mistaken. Please dont let the everyday driver look of this car fool you as it is a wolf in economy car clothing. Tucked under the hood of this 1964 Comet for sale is a 351 Cubic inch Ford engine produced in Windsor, commonly know as the 351 Windsor that has been bored .030 over and stroked. Performance parts that are easily seen include: A set of tri Y headers, An Edelbrock ® Performer intake that is topped with a Holley® 4 Barrel Carburetor and an electronic distributor. This power plant is backed by C4 ford 3 speed automatic transmission and an 8.8 rear that houses a set of 3:73 gears. Description:

ONLY 27K MILES, #S MATCHING L-82 MOTOR, ORIGINAL BUILDSHEET, VERY CLEAN C3! There cant be many car guys who havent lusted for a Corvette at some point in their lives. This great-looking 1980 example is a fantastic way to break into the Corvette hobby for not a lot of money, and with only 27498 original miles, its an incredible survivor thatll get a ton of respect at shows. You simply cant go wrong with a classic combination like white over red on your fantastic plastic. This one remains almost entirely original and has been very well maintained from new, so the finish sparkles and the shine is outstanding for a car thats 35 years old. Its virtually impossible to duplicate the factory look (even though a lot of shops try), and this one has a wonderful patina that screams survivor the moment you see it. By 1980, build quality had improved by leaps and bounds, so youll find tight gaps, neat-fitting bumper caps, and T-tops that seal up well. With an update in 1978, the fastback profile with aggressive front and rear spoilers is as good as the C3 got, and is instantly recognizable today. There are no notable deviations from stock and were quite impressed by how well the various pieces and parts match, always a problem with early C3 Corvettes. Crisp emblems, nice lenses, and only modest signs of wear make this car a slam-dunk in preservation class judging. The contrasting burgundy leather interior is pure 1980s cool, but it looks more elegant and upscale than, say, the silver space capsule look of the 1978 pace cars. With a comfortable look thats inviting, its hard to resist sliding into those deep buckets and looking out over the long, dramatic hood. The drivers seat shows only very minor wear thats commensurate with the cars age and mileage, while the rest of the interior is very well preserved with almost no signs of use. Corvettes were loaded with standard equipment in 1980, including A/C, power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, and a complete array of gauges that are highly visible and easy to read. A newer Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo head unit has been fitted to the center stack, and the workmanship is excellent, not to mention the sound, so it doesnt really detract from the overall presentation. The weather-stripping is mostly original, but this is one T-top Corvette that seals up rather well and it is remarkably free of squeaks and rattles inside. Dual snorkels on the air cleaner mean an L82 engine with 230 horsepower, and its coupled to an automatic transmission. With 230 horsepower, it was a stout performer in 1980, and even today the rumble of the exhaust and solid whack of torque will get your heart racing on the street. It starts quickly and idles easily thanks to a recent service, and there are few engines more reliable than a 350 Chevy topped by a 4-barrel carb. Highly original, the engine bay is clean and well-maintained, and unlike so many of its siblings, it remains completely stock so no worries about previous abuse. Underneath, its in good order, and even still runs an original-style exhaust system with catalytic converter. The original slotted alloy wheels look great and wear fat 255/60/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials. This car represents a great opportunity to get into the Corvette hobby at an awesome price with a car that has survivor status everyone will admire. Call today! To view this 1980 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Dallas showroom. Description:

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a lowered, 3rd generation 1985 Chevrolet C10. This C10 is finished in bright red exterior paint, that was applied about 2 years ago. The red color is perfect for this style of build, it screams race ready. The 20” Boss aluminum/alloy wheels provide the perfect stance and look to the truck as well. Powering this 85’ C10 is a cammed up 355 CID V8 engine that has been dressed up very nicely. Pop the hood and you will see a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner on top, look a little closer and you will find the Holley carburetor, aluminum intake, Moroso plug wires, and Wheeler Motorsports valve covers. Headers flow to the full exhaust that create a truly awesome sound to this 355 V8. A TH-350 automatic with stall converter transfers the power to the 10 bolt rear end. The black interior is features white faced gauges, a cloth bench seat, and a few other aftermarket goodies. A black vinyl Tri-Fold bed cover protects the painted bed floor and provides a low profile appearance. Chevrolets third generation C/K Series ran from 1973 to 1987, and sported an all new design. Officially known as the Rounded-Line generation, the third generation looked like nothing else on the road at the time of its debut. The rounded lines included rounded cab roof, sloped rounded doors, rounded windshield corners, rounded front fenders, and rounded bed corners which made possible the rounded taillights. The rounded design was incorporated in an effort to improve aerodynamics and to improve fuel efficiency. Also known as the Square Body design, although not an official nickname since it did not originate from General Motors. The odometer on this C10 reads 1,044, which represents the mileage put on the truck since the build was complete. Options for this 1985 Chevrolet C10 include: AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. This is a great example of a hot rod C10 pickup that looks good, runs good, and will certainly draw a crowd. Description:

This C-10 is truly one of a kind! It is a completely custom build with attention to detail everywhere you look. The C-10 designates that it is a two wheel drive half ton pickup which became one of Chevrolet’s best-selling vehicles. This truck in particular features a 350 cubic inch V8 engine with a few performance modifications and is hooked up to a turbo 350 automatic transmission. The box of the truck is covered in a marine grade cloth that keeps the bed protected and provides a finished look. Most trim pieces on the exterior have been removed including hiding the turn signals behind the billet grill simplifying the look and separating the style from the rest of the herd of C-10’s. The custom features don’t stop once you move to the interior featuring a two-tone tweed interior that is completely different than the original besides the gauge cluster and glove box. These trucks were built to be rough and tough while handling anything you throw at them. This C-10 has become a bit more civilized though with power brakes, power steering, and an excellent sound system. If you are looking for a classic Chevrolet pickup that can be enjoyed and driven without worry, this may be an excellent fit for you! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1967 Chevrolet C10 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Now for sale in Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is this beautiful, ultra-low mileage 2002 Chevrolet Corvette. This is the coupe version of the LS1 5.7l powered Corvette featuring an excellent 4L60-E automatic transmission and 3:15 gears. The engine and transmission are original to the car, as you would expect from a car that has only done 25,080 since it left the factory over 15 years ago. The car is finished in the factory Light Pewter with a black leather interior. Options include air conditioning, AM/FM Bose stereo with 12 disc CD player, active handling, heated mirrors, fog lamps, heads up display, performance handling package, glass Targa 1 pc top, cruise control, power seats with lumbar, power brakes, steering, locks, windows and mirrors, anti-lock brakes, traction control, tilt and telescopic wheel, keyless entry, seat belts, driver and passenger airbag, run-flat radial tires, LSD and aluminum alloy wheels. The original window sticker has been preserved that shows the full options for the car, including the original $47,425 window sticker. This is a member of the C5 Corvette family that ran from 1997-2004. This was the first car to feature the all-new and legendary LS1 power plant from Chevrolet, which made 345hp in the beginning but was subsequently increased in 2001 to 350hp. It was the perfect blend of reliability, fuel-mileage and drivability, while simultaneously allowing for big power and a great aftermarket scene with a massive amount of performance upgrade options. The C5 is competitive in regards to 0–60 mph acceleration times with almost all premium sports cars of its era, including the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage, and the Ferrari 355. A composite of published performance numbers for the base-model coupé and convertible gives a 0–60 mph time of around 4.5 seconds, and a standing quarter-mile time of around 13.3 seconds at 108 mph (both times for a vehicle equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission). The C5 was a turning point for the Corvette. Undoubtably a future collectors item. This would make a fantastic example to hold on to. Don’t miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this one. Description:

Only 2 owners on the awesome little German sports car. She comes loaded with traction control, paddle shifters, CD player, M-Sport seats wrapped in leather, lumbar support, sunroof, and Z rated Michelin tires. The E46 M3, first introduced in October 2000, appeared worldwide with the new 3.2 L S54 M-tuned engine. It was only available in coupe and convertible bodies as the saloon version had been dropped. The E46 M3 was offered with a standard 6-speed Getrag transmission, but optionally came with a SMG drivelogic transmission. This is the standard 6-speed Getrag transmission with an electrohydraulic actuated clutch (no clutch pedal). Shifts are made via the SMG gear knob or the steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The engine had a redline of 8,000 rpm. As with most M engines, the S54 again had 6 independent throttle bodies and this time electronically operated throttles. In the U.S., the E46 M3 came with similar engine output as the European version, unlike in the E36, whose engine was derived from the M50/52 series engine. Power was now at 333 HP due to close-coupled catalytic converters closer to the engine exhaust ports. In 2009, Road and Track magazine announced the 2006 M3 with the SMG transmission as its favorite sports car of all time. Description:

Up for sale now in our Houston showroom is this 1971 Buick Skylark Convertible. The Buick Skylark model was made in six production runs, for 46 years, over which the cars design varied dramatically due to changing technology and tastes and new standards implemented over the years. Created to mark Buicks 50th anniversary, the Roadmaster Skylark joined the Oldsmobile 98 Fiesta and Cadillac Series 62 Eldorado as top-of-the-line, limited-production specialty convertibles introduced in 1953 by General Motors to promote its design leadership. This second-generation Skylark convertible has been transformed to look like the ultimate Buick, the GSX. The GSX was Buicks answer to Pontiacs GTO Judge, Oldsmobiles 4-4-2 W-30, and Plymouths Hemi Cuda. This Skylark is equipped with the same 455 CiD V8 that came in the GSX that has been rebuilt with all new internals, balanced & blueprinted & features Fastlane Motorsports fuel injection system that has been tuned to the car. That monster of a V8 has only 2200 miles on it since the rebuild and it is paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission that has also been rebuilt and it shifts smooth and gives the car a sweet driving experience. The transmission has a stall speed torque converter installed on it for quicker launches. The car is shown in very nice yellow paint with matte black stripes on the side & of course the GSX hood with the stripes streaking down it. The body is in very good condition, straight & true. The bumpers, grill, trim, & emblems are also all in great shape. The car sits on its factory Buick 14-inch two-tone wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich tires with plenty of tread left on them. The convertible top new to the car, the car does not have the hydraulics hooked up so the top is currently manually operated, but can be converted back later if desired. The interior has been recently redone with the black vinyl seats (very comfortable), door panels, carpet, & dash are in like new condition. A small gauge cluster under the dash holds 3 gauges for engine management (oil pressure, battery voltage, & water temp). This GSX has a very cool feature called electronic exhaust cut outs that allows you to open the exhaust at the headers with the push of a button you will hear each & every power stroke of the engine when you want some noise! When you would like a quieter ride, you push the button again and it will close and flow out the tailpipes. If the car was not loud enough when you wanted it to be you also have a rocking stereo system throughout the car, featuring Kenwood CD player head unit that controls the JL Audio 1000 watt 5-channel amplifier that powers all the mid/high range speakers in the cabin of the car while also pushing the two 12-inch JL 12W3 subwoofers in the trunk. The car has undergone some recent service maintenance items have been performed on the car such as; new fan clutch, new 4-core aluminum radiator, new water pump, new control arms bushings, new idler arm, center link, tie rod ends, new heavy-duty clutch, new bands, resealed rear differential, new pinion axle seals, new axle bearings, new radiator & heater hoses, small items as well, & much much more. Other notable features include; power brakes, power steering, CD player with custom sound system, leather interior, seat belts, & more.
