Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Denver welcomes this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette! This one Owner Vette has been re carpeted with NOS carpet, and re painted with original color match paint. it still has all its original panels (no accidents) and it’s original running gear. 1978 was the Corvettes twenty fifth anniversary, and all 78s featured silver anniversary nose and fuel door emblems. A new fastback rear window was the most dramatic and noticeable styling change, giving the ten-year-old C3 Corvette body style a fresh lease on life. The fixed-glass fastback benefited both aerodynamics and increased the usable luggage space behind the seats while improving rearward visibility in the bargain. A shade was installed that could be pulled forward to cover the rear compartment to protect cargo and carpet against the unrelenting sun. The tachometer and speedometer were redesigned to match the new “aircraft styled” center console and gauge cluster first seen the previous year. Redesigned interior door panels were also new as well as an actual glove box was added in front of the passenger seat, replacing the map pockets of previous years. Available options now included power door locks, a power antenna, dual rear speakers and a CB radio.[6] The optional convenience group, introduced the previous year, now included intermittent (delay) wipers, floor mats, and the passenger side vanity mirror was an upgraded illuminated unit. The base L-48 engine generated 185 hp (138 kW); Those destined for California or high altitude areas produced 175 hp (130 kW). Gone was the chrome-plated ignition shielding over the distributor, replaced with a metal-lined black plastic unit. The single-snorkel air intake used since 1976 was changed to a dual-snorkel set-up on L-82 equipped cars helping to boost that output to 220 hp (164 kW). L-82 engines were also now fitted with an aluminum intake manifold which saved 24 pounds compared to the cast iron unit of previous years. The Corvette converted to metric tires with the P225/70R15 as standard. Wider P255/60R15 tires were available as an option and required fender trimming from the factory for clearance. The fuel tank capacity increased from 17 gal to 24 gal on all cars. To make room for the larger tank, a smaller (P195/80D15) space saver spare tire was utilized.(source Wikipedia) Don’t miss your opportunity to own a piece of real American built Chevrolet Muscle Car history in our Denver Showroom. Description:

This 1967 Ford F250 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The F250 was Fords workhorse of the bunch. Built for the working class and used primarily as work/fleet vehicles there are not of these 5th generation 3/4 ton trucks left. This example is a 2-owner truck with most of its life spent on a farm seeing much of its life hauling and running around that very place. With a mere 32000 miles showing on the odmeter it is bealived to be original to the truck.Bought in 2000 from that same farmer the truck needed some love but still ran great with the original 352 engine and 4-speed transmission in proper running condition. The decision was made shortly after that to bring this truck back to its original glory. Disassembled and separated from the frame with the actual cab was tossed for a new one. The hood was also exchanged for a new one ensuring any rust issues were solved. The last piece of the puzzle was the bed which wound up having to be scrapped as well with a new one taking its place. The decision was then made to go back with the original color giving the truck that factory look. The wood bed not only looks great and is something you wont see on a new truck anytime soon. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 2005 Ford Thunderbird 50th Anniversary! Ford reintroduced the Thunderbird model in the early 2000s and this model year marks the 50th anniversary from the original 1955 model. Much like the original baby bird the porthole hardtops were optional, and stayed true to the 2 seater roadster styling. In a modern era of front wheel drive vehicles the last Thunderbird stayed true to the RWD platform. Power comes from a 3.9-liter V8 paired up to a 5 speed automatic transmission. The gold exterior looks fantastic, and the interior shows very little wear and tear. The condition makes sense because with just over 20,000 miles this is still like a new car. The CarFax is clean and this young bird runs and drives as it should. The convertible top moves up and down smoothly and this 2005 Ford Thunderbird is a blast to drive! 2005 Ford Thunderbird is for sale in our St. Louis Showroom and can be seen in great detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

This 1962 International Scout is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The scout was the companys straight competitor to the now popular Jeep. The only issue was they had no idea if the market would be big enough to support 2 4WD leisure vehicles. Introduced to the public in 1960 and only taking 24 months to build from sketch drawing to finish. This was a monumental feat considering the size of IH as a company requiring them to piece out the job. IN other words, IH did not build the scout they put it together. This cool little scout has come a long way since it left the factory back in 62. Gone is the factory economical 4 cylinder upgraded to a 289 which is putting out about 3 times the power making this 2 door a blast to drive. The c4 automatic transmission works as it should shifting thru all 3 gears without hesitation. The paint on the car is clean and looks great. The white on red on white reminds me that this is an American car. Inside the bucket seats are much more modern and extremely comfortable. The shifter located in the middle on the floor is a great addition and makes it feels more like a car than a truck. Which is what the guy was going for when he put this creation together. Options on this 1962 International Scout includes, Hub Caps, Power Steering, Cloth Interior and Radial Tires. This 1962 International Scout for sale can be seen at our Louisville showroom, www.gatewayclassiccars.com or call 812- 294-1555 for additional information. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Milwaukee is excited to present this 1971 VW Beetle for sale. The Beetle was first produced in the 1930s with the intentions of becoming the “peoples car or Volkswagen in German. Volkswagen was the brainchild of Adolf Hitler to produce a reliable vehicle for the hardworking people of Germany, and a car that was not only inexpensive but safe to drive. In fact, the Beetle was to be mass produced and sell for 1000 Reich Marks or about $140. Unfortunately, by 1939 World War II had begun ending production of the Beetle shortly after the first car came off the assembly line. After the war ended, Allies helped resurrect the German auto industry to become a global enterprise. At first sales were slow due to the Nazi connection, but by 1975 Volkswagen was the largest vehicle importer in the United States. Reaching an incredible fifteen million units sold to date. Our 1967 Volkswagen Beetle convertible Type 1 is a fine example of the “peoples car. The engine is an air cooled 1500cc H4 attached to a four- speed manual transmission. The hot red paint and black interior with a matching convertible top make this Beetle convertible a must have. This 1971 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible also comes with its parade boot. Whether you are a Beetle enthusiast or looking for a little fun in the sun this convertible fits the bill! This 1971 Volkswagen Beetle is available at our Milwaukee Showroom at Gateway Classic Cars and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com which includes 100+ HD photos and HD video. To see the car in person, it can be seen at our Milwaukee Showroom located at 9949 58th Place Suite 400, Kenosha WI 53144. Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this gorgeous 1964 Chevelle Malibu. The Chevelle was intended to compete with the Fairlane and was supposed to reflect a car similar in size to the Classic Tri-Five of the decade prior. They would go down as being some of the most memorable cars of our time. The Malibu continued its reign as the leading seller of the Chevelle and would continue to do so throughout the Chevelles life, because it boasted the highest number of model options with the 4-door sport sedan, 2-door sport coupe, convertible, 4-door sedan, and 2-seat station wagon. One could get anything from a base model 300 coupe with a 230 CI inline 6 with a 3 on the tree, to a 4-door wagon with a 327 and a 4-speed manual, to a fire-breathing 375 HP 396 CID V8 in the SS model. If you wanted it, chances are it could be found in a Chevelle. This beautiful edition of a 1964 Malibu Chevelle is equipped with a period and date code correct 230 CI Inline 6 and the 3 on the tree 3 speed manual transmission. The car was resprayed back to its original Ember Red factory paint code 922 in 2009. The red vinyl interior really matches well with the exterior and really gives this car that 60s nostalgia. This car has been in a couple of movies and music videos and is just the right amount of cool with that cruiser drivetrain. This 1997 Pontiac Trans-Am WS6 is not only one of the cleaniest one owner convertibles that you will find on the road today! It is also a low mileage car with 15,385 miles on the odometer. One look at the exterior of this car and youll notice that the white paint is just as shiny as the day this car was new. A larger valance has been added to the front of the car to help with down force. Also giving it more of an attitude as its going down the street. Matching it all up with the white convertible top is what helps make this car 1 of 41 ever produced with these options. Under the hood is the potent 5.7 LT1 V8 boasting 305 horsepower. An automatic transmission with overdrive takes care of the shifting of gears. Grey leather seats keep the occupants comfortable on any length of trip. Helping put the power to the ground are 17 WS6 aluminum wheels that are wrapped in BFGoodrich tires. Not many cars can be considered a true survivor car. If you are in the market for something that is going to stand out in a crowd but also has been barely broken in this Trans-Am is for you! Description:

Our Detroit Showroom is excited to offer this highly customized 1992 Ford Thunderbird LX. Im sure most people, at first glance, look at this car and go WOW! I cant tell if thats a classic or a late model! Well the answer is, its a little bit of both! Plenty of hours and manpower went into this wildly cool build, and the car still retains its original fire engine red color. Most of the styling cues when designing this masterpiece came from the 1950s Fords. Just to wrap up the classic styling look, this Thunderbird is equipped with a nice set of classic Ford wheels that are wrapped in a nice set of wide white wall tires. Other than the custom body work done to this Thunderbird, the bones of the car are still an all original 1992 Thunderbird. The gray and red interior reflects the exterior customization very well. Powering this customized bird is the original and reliable 5.0L engine that has plenty of power and torque and sounds excellent flowing out of the wide exhaust pipes. Stuck to that original motor is also the original automatic transmission equipped with overdrive to ensure safe highway speeds. If you cant decide between purchasing a 1950s period Ford, or a late model Thunderbird, this car is perfect for you! Other options on this 1992 Thunderbird are A/C, power brakes, steering, locks, seats, sunroof, and windows, radial tires, and more! For more information including over 120HD photos and video, please visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or call to speak with one of our friendly and knowledgeable sales staff members at 313-982-3100. Stage 2 Comp Cams, Comp Cam phaser limiters, and a Brenspeed 93 octane tune all keep this modified 4.6L V8 engine in line. A free-flowing Ford Racing “Stinger exhaust has been added to get that very aggressive tone. An automatic transmission helps to get power to the rear wheels, which have also been modified with Eibach pro-series lowering springs. The gorgeous red paint job with a sporty black stripe running down the middle of the car look spectacular paired with the black convertible top. A 3D carbon “Eleanor grill, and Bullitt wheels have been added as wheel to retain the classic muscle car look.
