Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 1982 Chevrolet El Camino Conquista. We love cars that have been maintained well even if they have a few more miles on them. This 1982 Chevrolet El Camino Conquista is one package down from the Super Sport. New for 1982 was the front-end styling. The 1982 models sported a crosshatch grille with quad headlights. The owner also had a body shop replace rotted panels. This 1978 Chevrolet El Camino Conquista has been maintained very well mechanically, and refurbished on the exterior. Description:

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. This is without question one absolutely gorgeous 69 Camaro! There isnt much that wasnt customized, and it shows. It’s easy to throw a ton of aftermarket parts on a car. This took some serious time and attention to detail. Let’s start with the obvious first. Painted in a beautiful shade of red with white stripes or a gorgeous white leather interior and riding on a set of custom Billet Specialties aluminum wheels. This isnt just a nice paint job though. The front bumper is a narrowed and reshaped 1969 Camaro bumper mounted with custom brackets. The lower valance has a lower grill opening with a stainless steel grill, the upper grill opening has been smoothed and features driving lights/ turn signals from a ’69 Camaro. The lower air dam and fender extensions are a one off from molded fiberglass. The upper grill opening is smoothed and recessed to accommodate quad headlights from a 1970 Oldsmobile and a hand fabricated stainless grill with a relocated hood release. The hood features a steel cowl induction that was welded from underneath and smoothed all around. The front fenders have lower extensions molded ahead and behind the wheel opening and smoothed. All the inner front panels and support systems were smoothed, relocated and painted to match the body. The doors were also smoothed and utilize 2003 GM latch and handle systems for a clean appearance. The side rocker panels were extended the full length to give an even and finished look to the bottom edges. The rear quarters, you guessed it, smoothed with the rear side lights removed and the ends of the rear spoiler molded in place. The rear decklid is similar and features an original spoiler that was reshaped and molded in place. The rear body panel has reversed tail lamps fabricated from a ’69 Camaro and a welded in pop up gas cap. The rear bumper is also a 1969 unit that has been trimmed to fit. All the painted surfaces are PPG base coat clear coat Super Red with Silver Pearl. Once you raise the hood, you’ll see another cowl induction unit that is functional and removable. Lurking beneath this work of art is a very well built 468 Big Block that balanced and blue printed utilizing a solid roller camshaft and 10.5:1 compression. Other notable engine details include aluminum small chamber rectangular port cylinder heads with 2.19 intake and 1.88 exhaust valves, .620 lift camshaft, single plane intake manifold topped by a 830 CFM carburetor and aluminum accessories and pullies. Big blocks have a reputation for running hot, that can be easily addressed and was with this build thanks to a HD aluminum radiator and dual electric fans set up to cool 650 horsepower. The music this engine makes is the result of ceramic coated headers flowing through a set of custom stainless steel pipes and mufflers. Transferring this beautiful power plant to the ground is a 2005 Dodge Viper 6-speed, heavy duty clutch converted to hydraulic actuation and finally to a 12 bolt rear end housing a set of 4.10 posi traction gears. Slowing things down is a breeze thanks to four wheel disc brakes. Even though this car is presumed to strictly be a show car, it will do what you ask of it. The suspension and chassis were not missed. The front suspension has been heavily modified and includes shaved side rails and cross member, new tubular control arms, coil over shocks, a quick ratio steering box, heavy duty sway bar and dropped spindles for the aggressive ride height. All parts are painted in a gloss red and silver urethane finish. The underside has all new floors, unibody subframe connectors and additional braces for a more rigid chassis. The rear suspension and undercarriage are also heavily modified. Wheel tubs moved inboard two inches, shocks relocated, springs lowered and moved inboard, traction bars installed, new bearings and seals. Other modifications include a new fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump, relocated battery(trunk), stainless steal lines and fasteners throughout. Altered oil pan, steering linkage, transmission mount and tunnel. The last area to cover and one of our favorites, the interior. The all white interior is very easy on the eyes and just feels fresh. The guys over at Recovery Room Hot Rod interiors did an amazing job. Hats off to these guys! Custom is the theme here as is the rest of the build. Custom white leather on most surfaces, new easy to read instruments for the custom dash, a tilt steering column, Sony CD player, custom rear deck with speakers, hand brake replacing the old foot actuated parking brake, custom center console that houses power windows switches, electronic fuel pump switch and the battery cut off. For more information on this one of a kind 1968 Chevrolet Camaro, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000 or swing by a for a close look. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is excited to offer this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. This Fine Corvette is consignor stated, numbers matching, body-on restored, with rebuilt drive train, showing just over 6,250-miles since completed in 2015. She is powered by the legendary 427-Tri Power rated @ 435-hp, mated to a 4-speed manual, and posi-traction rear end. WE question the hp rating here, as she has a set of Winters Snow Flake aluminum heads, that surely bumped that just a tad! Not only does she possess the correct drive train, but is also painted in Marina Blue 2-stage paint, with White top, and Black vinyl interior. To say shes an eye-catcher, is an understatement! Of course the Big Block came with a stinger hood, but having been optioned with side pipes, takes it to another level! This Corvette has not been taken “over the top, but rather has been treated to a very well done update!! Her engine bay is detailed with an aluminum radiator, and powder coated exhaust manifolds, and the under carriage shows like it did in her day, clean and under coated. The Black interior is like new, and shows minimal wear. Options for this 1967 Corvette include: vinyl interior, updated AM/FM/Cass radio, side pipes, Rally Wheels, red line radial tires. For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a Saddle Tan over Saddle Tan 1963 Chevrolet Corvette. The 1963 Split Window Corvette coupe is one of the most iconic and sought after of all the Corvettes. This 3 owner Corvette sat for over ten years before the complete restoration took place in 1983. True it is an older restoration, but this 63 Corvette is in very good condition. The car has been driven very little since its restoration except to maintain it properly. The Saddle Tan exterior paint, which is more like metallic gold, still shines beautifully. The Saddle Tan leather interior is also in good condition, free from any rips, tears, or signs of wear. Powering this split window Corvette is a 327 CID V8 300HP engine that and has traveled a little over 500 miles since it was installed in 1983. A 4-speed manual transmission transfers the power to the IRS and to the pavement. This split-window Corvette for sale is a rare gem, with just over 10,000 produced in 1963. Built to compete with foreign sports cars, this Corvette shed some weight and gained some beautiful curves, adding much more excitement to the daily commute! Known as the mid-year Corvette, the C2 was produced from 1963 to 1967, a relatively short run when considering other generations of the Corvette. The odometer reads 32,694, which represents the actual mileage on the car. Options for this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette include: AM/FM Radio, Leather Interior, Seat Belts, White Wall Bias Ply Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. Description:

Our Louisville Showroom is proud to display/ have for sale this rare, beautiful 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 with the Rally Sport package and cross ram intake. Through five generations GM has continuously provided us with a variety of purpose-built performance packages that normally wouldn’t make it off the boardroom floor. When it comes to high dollar classics, you simply can’t go wrong with a first generation Z/28. Pedigreed, well-done small block cars continue to be some of the hottest selling metal on the market. And this documented, investment grade Z/28 has all the right ingredients to bring big value and even bigger appeal. For starters, it’s an authentic Matador Red car which features a correct Red interior. It also packs a correct 302 that’s equipped with a rare cross ram intake. The power is transferred through a tough Muncie 4-speed and correct 4.56 gears. If you’re in the market for a restoration-fresh collector car that you can enjoy and build equity in, this slick F1 demands your full attention! The beneficiary of a professional, rotisserie restoration that included $38K of paint and body work, this vivid panther simply glistens under our bright showroom lights. Craig Hopkins, of Cleveland, Georgia’s AMD Installation Center, put a lot of effort into making sure the car’s body is extremely straight. Everything has been bathed in DuPont Matador Red. Raise the solid steel hood and you’ll be delighted to find a rare Winters cross ram on top of a correct, 302 cubic inch high performance V8. Rebuilt at Precision Engines LLC, this fully balanced mill utilizes a forged SCAT crank, forged SCAT rods, SRP pistons and a Bullet Trans Am-spec cam to twist stout 11 to 1 compression into 344 dyno-proven horsepower! At the top of the 302 small block, Holley carburetors mix fuel from fresh stainless fluid lines with oxygen that’s piped through a chrome, cowl-fed air cleaner. Behind those carburetors, modern electronic ignition sequences spark through fresh Packard TV R Suppression Cables. And at the sides of that ignition, authentic ‘double hump’ heads hang bright chrome valve covers over roller tip rocker arms and professionally restored exhaust manifolds. When fired, the infamous V8 snarls and barks like a real competition piece. Its ancillary components are top-notch in every way, with fresh GM hoses and a correct Delco Moraine brake booster accompanying a reproduction Delco battery. And an even combination of Chevy Orange engine skin and Satin Black fender framing is accented by clean and appropriate decals. the best set up the Camaro offered was a tough Muncie transmission and track-worthy 4.56 rear end. This coupe’s correct 4-speed, which is equipped with a fresh clutch and flywheel, twists a shortened A-Body pumpkin that’s packed with new Moser axles, a proven Eaton posi and 4.56 Richmond gears. That first-rate drivetrain is held off the ground by a completely rebuilt, high performance suspension, which includes 4-piston, Corvette-style brakes, tuned front coils, multi-leaf rears and reproduction shocks. That suspension is dissected by an aluminized, true-dual exhaust system, which is fitted with a correct, transversely mounted muffler. That exhaust system is framed by clean floors which perfectly highlight a new stainless fuel tank, fresh stainless fluid lines and a variety of chip-free chassis components. Those floors roll on 15-inch Rally wheels, which spin E70-15 Goodyear Wide Tread GTs around correct stainless center caps and dent-free trim rings. Inside, the Standard Red interior illustrates the true, no frills intentions of Chevrolet’s hallowed Z/28. Its bucket seats were restored with new backs, new foam and reproduction covers that look and feel fantastic. In front of those seats a stainless-trimmed dash, which exhibits no signs of warping or peeling, hangs rebuilt telemetry above a clean radio delete. At the base of that dash, great looking carpet centers a chrome Hurst shifter between four color-keyed floor mats. That seat, dash and flooring trifecta is framed by a tight headliner and standard, stainless-trimmed door panels. In front of the driver, Chevrolet’s classy Rosewood steering wheel spins satin spokes around a red, white and blue centerpiece. And behind the passengers, the car’s solid trunk has been correctly restored with new paint, a new mat, fresh decals and a full-size spare tire. Options for this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 R/S include; Radio Delete, Black Vinyl Top, Vinyl Interior, Tinted Glass, Special Suspension, Power Disc Brakes, Simulated Wood Steering Wheel and Rally Sport Wheels wrapped in Goodyear Bias Ply Tires. This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 with the Rally Sport package can be seen, including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call at 812-294-1555 or email Louisville@gatewayclassiccars.com for more information.

Description:

Now available in our Philadelphia showroom is this 1966 Chevrolet Corvair-Monza. The 1966 lineup remained essentially unchanged from 1965. The steering column was changed to a two-piece design with universal joint, lessening the danger of intrusion during a front-end collision (a mid-1965 running change). A plastic air dam was installed below the front valence panel to conceal the front suspension and underbody and lessen crosswind sensitivity. In front, the lock door emblem (covering the lockset for the trunk lock) was changed from red to blue and featured a shorter bar. Air-conditioned cars received a new condenser that was mounted in front of the engine, eliminating previous efficient but huge, awkward condenser that was mounted atop the engine, requiring its removal out of the way for most under the hood servicing. This 1966 Corvair- Convertible was sent to the President of the Delaware-Corvair Club, who took the time to go over the entire vehicle, spending over 85 plus labor hours on this vehicle. The following work was completed during this time: Converted to Dual master cylinder, New front brake lines, New brake cylinder and hoses (both front and back), Pitman arms- bushings- & idler arm, Carburetor rebuilt, Replaced Alternator, New engine wiring harness, New tailpipes, New fan belt, New turn signal lever, New rear motor mount, New carpet in the trunk, New Antenna, New windshield wipers, New convertible “top boot” foam pads, New oil-pan and gaskets, New throttle valve/O-ring, New rear brake cable, New axle seals, New battery, New door seals plates, This Corvair has also been converted to an electric fuel-pump & Crane electric ignition. – As you can tell, a lot of love has been invested into this vehicle. The heart of this vehicle is a 6-cyclinder, which produces a 110 HP to the wheels and is connected to a 2-speed transmission. The powertrain has been converted to a 1965 powertrain. The solid white vinyl interior is in pretty good shape throughout, with only minor blemishes on the back-driver’s side. The convertible top is in good condition too, so you’ll look very sharp, top up or down. All this sits on a sweet set of wired wheels & white wall tires, with a Chevy emblem on the “knock-off” portion. This Corvair is going to be cruising around some town and enjoyed by a new owner very soon…. Will this be you? Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a very clean and tastefully upgraded 1997 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. This Z28 has a lot going for it. The car wears a classic Camaro color scheme: white with orange stripes. This was the factory scheme which has been maintained beautifully over the years. It currently wears chrome wheels wrapped in nice radial tires. The interior carries the white scheme with White leather seating with super cool hounds tooth seat inserts. This hounds tooth upholstery reminds one of the early 1960s Camaros that also offered this option. Sticking with the quintessential Camaro theme, this one has a manual transmission. Not the 4 speed the early cars wouldve come with, this 97 has a hearty 6 speed manual which has been nicely upgraded with a Hurst short throw shifter. The power plant is a 5.7 Liter LT1 which has also be slightly upgraded. The improve flow, a cold air intake, a high flow throttle body, SLP headers, and a Hooker mufflers have been added. This also beefs up the sound so you can really hear that LT1. This is a very well maintained Camaro with no accident history and a clean vehicle history report. This could be a car for car shows, to drive daily, or heck, the drag strip if you wanted to. You can see this 1997 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or stl@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

Description:

Now available in our Philadelphia location is a 1957 Chevrolet Corvette with fuel injection. This car is still very much as it was when the restoration was completed less than 100 miles ago, and it offers an unbeatable combination of performance and good looks. To many, this is exactly what the mental picture of a 1957 Corvette describes: red on black, fuel injection, 4-speed and ready to go to a new home. The ’57 Corvette was the last of the single-headlight series. They featured many new performance options including 245- and 270-hp V8s with single or dual 4-bbl carbs; and the injected 250-hp and 283-hp engines. This one has the 283 CI 283 HP V8. GM built 6,339 1957 Corvettes. 713 cars were ordered with RPO 579B (11% of the cars built), which was the option code for the 283/283, a high-lift cam and Rochester fuel injection, like our car. Wearing a set of bias ply tires just like it did in 1957 this car goes down the road just like it did in 1957. This is one of the first cars that Detroit produced that was delivering a horse power per inch. The fulie Corvettes are legendary with enthusiasts and are sure to be the focus of attention at any show. Description:

Our Nashville showroom digitally showcases this 1955 Chevrolet BelAir, or as I call it, my latest car crush. Now I have a pretty good job and while I am sure there are others out there that make more money than I do, I get to work with classic cars. I spend time talking to the owners and buyers of cars that most only dream about and when it comes time for the cars to be driving for the videos, I always volunteer because I dont mind taking one for the team. I tell you this, so you understand, I have become a little jaded. It takes something extra special to catch my attention and this car has it! While the exterior of the car is obviously well done in satin black with chrome that has been painted a gun metal grey, you can tell the work that went into the car before the sinister black was laid down. I have looked this car over top to bottom and I can tell you it is as pretty underneath as it is on top. With Power coated frame, freshly painted floor pan and even the suspension components are tidy and painted black. Powering this classic Chevy shoebox is a Small block Chevy that has been bored and stroked to 383 cubic inches. Bolted to the top of the cylinders are a set of Medling(R) performance heads, Edelbrock(R) intake and Quickfuel(R) four-barrel carburetor. This power is controlled by a 4-speed manual transmission that is perfect for this set up. Just the slightest twist of the key brings this mighty mouse to life and the noise it makes will put a smile on your face. I just came back from driving the car for the video (Its a tough job, but someone has to do it) and I can tell you I have a permasmile on my face. Now there is a long list of custom touches on this car, too many to list like drilled and slotted rotor and Wilwood(R) disc brakes on each corner, suffice it to say that not a trick was missed nor a penny pinched on this build! Options for this 55 Chevy include: AM/FM CD player, Power steering, Tilt steering wheel, Leather interior, Seat belts, Radial tire wrapped around American Racing(R) 5 spoke rims. Description:

Gateway classic cars of Nashville is Proud to digitally present this this 1956 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup. This 1956 3100 for sale is not your Fathers old work truck! Lets start with the frame and move up. This boxed frame has been power coated in a gloss black and has No limit engineerings (R) wide ride front suspension and four link rear holding a Ford(R) 9-inch rear axle in place. This 9 inch houses a true trac carrier that has a 3.07 to 1 axle ratio ring and pinion for smooth operation even on the interstate. Highway speeds of 80MPH have the engine turning just 2100 revolutions per minute! The entire body was removed and many hours of prep, a lot of sweat and I am sure a massive amount of sandpaper was used to perfect the sheet metal before the primer and PPG(R) Torch red paint was applied. The paint on this truck is amazing! Under the hood of this beautiful 3100 is a small block Chevy displacing 355 Cubic inches. This power plant features ceramic coated headers(the entire exhaust system is ceramic coated) and Holley(R) electronic fuel injection for instant throttle response. The transmission of choice for this setup is a 700r4 4 speed automatic. A Vintage air(R) system was bolted on to provide additional cool as if this truck needed more. A Pioneer(R) head unit and a couple of 10-inch subwoofers provide the entertainment for you and your passengers as well as those within a city block, ok, slight exaggeration. Disc brakes, Weld wheels(R) and Nitto(R) tires on all four corners. I could go on and on but space prohibits. Lets just say no corners were cut on this build! If you are looking for a truck to haul hay, pea gravel or anything but your bootie, keep looking as this is not a truck you will want to scratch. But if you are looking for the best looking, driving and handling then you need to call quickly! Options for this 1956 Chevrolet 3100 Truck include: Air conditioning, AM/FM with CD player, GPS, Power steering, brakes and windows, Tilt steering wheel, Leather interior Posi traction and alloy rims with radial tires.
