Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is proud to present this super cool 1965 Plymouth Valiant Station Wagon. That’s right a station wagon! The precursor to the vaunted SUV is the station wagon, and the mid 60’s has suddenly regained some popularity. You will see them as support vehicles at your local dragstrip or showing up and being showed off at the local car cruise scene. Designed to haul the family around town and make the “family vacation” easier as only one vehicle was required, which is what our modern-day SUV’s and mini-vans do. This Plymouth Valiant SW looks to be in excellent shape. The interior is in very good shape, with the only noticeable wear being the rubber mat in the tail gate area. Under the hood is possibly the most reliable engine Mopar ever built, the 225 CID Slant 6 engine. While it not as impressive as a Hemi V8, these little engines almost never left one stranded. The engine is mated to an automatic transmission for ease of operation. The tan exterior paint is nicely augmented with the rear glass being tinted. Finishing off the exterior with a no nonsense look is a set of black steel wheels with dog dish style hub caps. This Plymouth would make a great shop vehicle for a small hot rod shop or maybe even a grass roots drag racing team. Heck maybe even a big racer like John Force may want to reminiscence. Options for this 1965 Plymouth Valiant Station Wagon include; Seat Belts, Vinyl interior, Steel Wheels with Hub Caps wrapped in radial tires. To view this 1965 Plymouth Valiant Station Wagon in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. Description:

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 3 owner 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL. Power comes from a smooth running German V8 measuring 5.6 liters and producing 227 horsepower with a healthy 287 lbs./ft. of torque. Plenty of power for this 2 door convertible. Theres something about driving a German car. Everything fits very well, a nice thud when you close the door and a significant lack of rattles when cruising down the highway. This was a classic the day it rolled off the assembly line. Mercedes began production for this model in 1971 and was an instant hit. Production went all the way through 1989 with a production total over 300,000 units! 1986 saw the introduction of the 560 that would end up becoming the most desirable of this model series. Power was up significantly, and sales went up with it. This beautiful example has covered 166,447 miles since it was purchased new in 1987 out in California. Now on its third owner and with receipts for a top end engine rebuild adding new life to the smooth running V8. The car spent all its life in California until 2010. The red paint has a great shine, all the doors open and close very well thanks to a clean history report. The black leather interior doesnt come close to looking old or worn out. If youre ready to cruise in style without breaking the bank, look no further and call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000 or swing by for a closer look. Description:

The Volkswagen Beetle, officially the Volkswagen Type 1, was designed in the mid 1930’s but only produced in significant numbers after WWII. The original 1100cc air-cooled engine was rated at 25hp – good for about 62mph on the Autobahn! By 1954, an additional 2mm was added to the cylinder bore. This combined with a redesign of the crankshaft and helped the 1200cc mill produce 36 hp. The instrument panel was revised in 1958 in addition to modifications of the rear window to rectangular from oval. This 1959 Bug is a real charmer. The baby Blue/White vinyl combination is a classic. Everything is just right on the interior from the instrument cluster to the steering wheel and push-button radio. Crank down the windows and hit the beach in style! This cool 1959 Beetle is located at our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this beautiful vehicle in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this very clean, two-owner 1985 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in their Indianapolis showroom. This all-original car looks as great in person as it does in these photos. The Camaro has been always been a desirable car, and low-mileage examples like this one don’t come along very often. Originally purchased at a Chevy dealer near Indianapolis, the Camaro was cared for by the first owner for 17 years! The current owner took the reins in 2002 and has properly cared for the car ever since. With fewer than 46,000 miles showing on the odometer, this Camaro is still a solid car, with a lot of life left to give. Powered by a 2.8L V6 mated to a 4-speed automatic, the powertrain is a smooth-running machine. Power steering and brakes, tilt and cruise, AM/FM cassette, factory air, and raised white letter tires round out the factory equipment. The A/C will need a re-charge to blow cold, but the car is good to go otherwise. Be sure to visit our webpage at www.gatewayclassiccars.com to view 100+ HD pictures, as well as a short video of the Camaro in action. Better yet, stop by our Indianapolis showroom and see the car in person. We’re located at 4400 West 96th Street, Indianapolis, In. 46268. Call us directly at 317-688-1100, and we’ll be happy to share additional information, or schedule an appointment for you to experience this amazing car. http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/NDY/1144/1985-Chevrolet-Camaro

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this all original 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302. The Camaro was the largest threat to the lead Ford had in the pony car field, a market segment largely created by Ford with the introduction of the Mustang in mid-year 1964. The performance of the Mustang with 289 and 390 engines was not up to the Camaro, with its small block and big block V8. To improve the Mustangs image Ford made a 428 Cobra Jet V8 and a Ford Boss 302 engine optional for the 1968 mid-year and 1969 models, respectively. This 1970 Boss 302 is a numbers’ matching 302 CID V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission with Hurst Shifter and POSI rear with 3:91 gears. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1968 Dodge Dart Pro Street “Indy Cylinder Head built the Dart”. It has a Hemi -- 605 cubic inches monster engine! That was reflected on the dyno sheets that Indy supplied with the engine: 836.8 horsepower and 752 lb.-ft of torque. The Hemi was teamed with an equally stout J.W. Performance Transmission–built 727 with a 4,200-stall converter and a narrowed rear end equipped with Strange axles and a Detroit Locker that are up to the task of taming all that Hemi power. Outside, what was left of the original Dart’s body structure was plenty enough to build from, once the floors and quarters were replaced with new steel. AAR Fiberglass’ bolt-on hood, bumper, front fender, doors, and decklid reproductions -- plus a ’68 Super Stock–style hood scoop -- were fitted and installed before the two-stage Sikkens Viper Red enamel went on. Inside, it’s a combination of race-car safety hardware and high-end cruiser, with leather covering the SCAT racing seats, dash and door panels, and custom carpets on the floors. As for a sound system, the Hemi’s custom exhaust system is for that purpose. Engine: There’s big, there’s huge—and then there’s this Indy Cylinder Head–built Street Legend Hemi. Displacing 605 inches, it features Indy’s aluminum 41/2-inch bore block, with a forged Callies crankshaft and Eagle H-beam rods, forged 10.75:1 compression Wiseco pistons, and a Comp Cams solid-roller camshaft. A pair of Indy’s 426-1RA heads, ported Indy intake with a 1050-cfm Holley Dominator, MSD ignition, and a custom-built exhaust system finalize the overgrown air pump. Transmission: J.W. Performance Transmission-built 727 with a reverse–manual valve body, 9-inch/4,200 stall convertor with a trans brake, B&M shifter, and a Gear Vendors overdrive. Rear: Narrowed 9-inch is filled with a 4.56-geared Detroit Locker differential and Strange axles. Suspension: (Front) Art Morrison’s Super Strut, (Rear) X-link with Strange coil overs and ladder bars. Brakes: Four-wheel discs with Wilwoods in front and Strange Engineering rotors and calipers in the rear. Wheels/Tires: Welds and Mickey Thompsons (Front) 15x4½-inch wheels on 26x7.50x15 M/T Sportsman tires, (Rear) 15x14-inch Double Bead lock wheels on M/T’s 32x17.50x15 ET Streets. Paint/Body: Original unibody had its floors and trunk replaced before it was fitted to the round-tube frame. AAR Fiberglass provided the hood, front fenders, trunk lid, and bumpers, and Rick Perry (aided by Don Reese and Ron Sheed) got it all ready for the Sikkens two-stage Viper Red enamel. Interior: Fernando Torres custom-stitched the SCAT Sportsman race bucket seats, door panels, and dash pad in tan leather with matching suede inserts. Steering wheel is a repro Tuff one on a Flaming River tilter, and tan/brown carpets cover the floors. This is one serious bad boy, gas sucking, tire evaporating machine! She will really get up and go! This car is truly one of a kind. This is the one you want to own. Make it yours today before someone else does. 1971 MUSTANG BOSS 351 for sale. Motorcar Classics is proud to present this 1971 Boss 351 Mustang Survivor which is from the Kirt Fryer collection with only 18,300 original miles. The car was restored by noted Mustang restoration expert Bob Wilson of RJR Restorations in Farmington,Minnesota. This 1971 BOSS 351 was one of four Ford Engineering Test Cars and that were not sold to the general public. The Marti Report shows Ford Motor Company as the original owner. It sports the original DOAE-L block and original top loader transmission and shifter. Just two of the four test cars are still known to exist and this car has the Ford Brass Tag to validate its history. Comes with build sheet. This particular test car is also a 1 of 1 vehicle based on the options car documented on the Marti report. This is an all original panel car that was repainted in its Wimbleton White color 18 years ago. In the 2016 restoration It was decided not to repaint the car in order to preserve the patina that the car already shows. All flat black paint was resprayed including underspray and all stripe kits were replaced. At RJR Restorations the engine was fully inspected and it was determined that the 18,300 mile odometer reading was correct and originalbased on visual wear. The rear end was inspected, lashed and all axle seals and races were restored The engine has its properly stamped DOAE-L block. Compression test was excellent. This Boss 351 Mustang has its original Autolite 4300D carburetor, hoses, radiator, distributor alternator, intake manifold and inner fenders. The car has new tires, exhaust system, suspension, gas tank, battery tray, rear quarter drains, carpet, door panels, sound deadening material, fuel lines, timing chain, water pump, rebuilt master cylinder, package tray, ram air plenum and original radio (installed but not conected). The other validated numbers matching drivetrain components include a Ford/Hurst competition shifter linkage with functional factory reverse lockout, code dated transmission and 9 posi rear end differential.A later Car & Driver comment on their February 1971 road test disclosed that Ford had specially prepared its test car, a common tactic of the time. Its unlikely that any screws which could conceivably make it go faster were left unturned, so they said. Paste the URL into your browser to read the road test and see photos of this car (https://www.caranddriver.com/archives/1971-ford-mustang-boss-351-review)There is only one other known original survivor 1971 Boss 351 Mustang which is owned by an ex-Ford test center employee. This special BOSS Mustang is fully documented and would be an excellent addition to any Mustang enthusiasts collection.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this 1929 Ford Model A “Rat Rod” for sale in our Indianapolis Showroom. “Rat Rod” is: a semi-restored Hot Rod that is intentionally left with the appearance of being incomplete. The Rat Rod is created of the thought of awaking a (pre-WW II) vehicle from the dead and embracing its natural form of deterioration, rust and all, while the Hot Rod is immaculately restored and customized for high performance. Rat Rods grow old gracefully while Hot Rods go under expensive cosmetic procedures to appear like new. Rat Rods are daily drivers better left unwashed, while Hot Rods only come out to play in shows and require the high maintenance of wax and polish. This Model A Rat Rod has made it way from Arizona to Indiana. The frame is 1929 Model A, it has been boxed in critical areas for extra strength. The roof of the cab is from a 1963 Chevrolet Corvair. The front grill is from a 1947 Studebaker Grill. The dual Stromberg carburetors are dressed out with a 1958 Cadillac air cleaner. The Strombergs feed a 1953 331 CID Chrysler Hemi V8. No fancy chrome here, just an old set of stamped steel Chrysler Hemi valve covers with just the right amount of patina. Zoomy style headers take care of the exhaust fumes, check out the super kewl flappers that have been added. The body has been dressed with just the right amount of patina that can only come from years of being in the Arizona climate. If you ready to hit a “Beatersville” event and fit right in call us before this rusto-rod fly’s out of here. Options for this 1929 Ford Model A “Rat Rod” include; No Radio with, Cloth/Steel Interior, Seat Belts and Steel Wheels wrapped in Bias Play Wide White Tires. Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this low-mileage 1968 Chevrolet Corvair for sale in their Indianapolis showroom. The same family that had owned the Corvair since new, had been displaying the car at an automotive heritage museum prior to selling it to the current owner earlier this year. Although the 28,800 miles on the odometer are undocumented, one look at this car tells you it’s a genuine low-mileage car. This Corvair is a great example, with the condition of the body, the interior, and the powertrain all showing it’s been well cared for since new. The 6-cylinder engine runs well, and the Powerglide automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The interior is very clean, with great vinyl and carpets. This piece of American automotive history is a turn-key driver, ready to cruise the strip, or sit and be appreciated. Either way, you’ll be proud to call it your own!
