Description:

Go Pack(ard) GO!!!! We have an awe inspiring 1950 Packard Deluxe 8. This is decked out to commemorate the Green Bay Packers. It features a 288 Straight 8 with a Chrysler Torqueflight 727 3 speed automatic transmission which transfers power back to a 1952 Packard rear axle featuring a 3:55 gear ratio. It also has an FM chip installed in the radio to allow FM stations to come through on the factory radio. Take this beauty tailgating to all the games, you will not be disappointed in the amount of heads that will turn while driving this beauty! Although the postwar Packards sold well, the ability to distinguish expensive models from lower-priced models disappeared as all Packards, whether sixes or eights, became virtually alike in styling. Further, amid a booming sellers market, management had decided to direct the company more to volume middle-class models, thus concentrating on selling lower-priced cars instead of more expensive--and more profitable--models. Worse, they also tried to enter the taxi cab and fleet car market. The idea was to gain volume for the years ahead, but that target was missed: Packard simply was not big enough to offer a real challenge to the Big Three, and lacked the deep pockets with which a parent company could shelter them, as well as the model lineup through which to spread the pricing. As a result, Packards image as a luxury brand was further eroded. As Packard lost buyers of expensive cars, it could not find enough customers for the lesser models to compensate. The shortage of raw materials immediately after the war--which was felt by all manufacturers--hurt Packard more with its volume business than it would have had it had focused on the specialty luxury car market. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1950 Packard Deluxe 8 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (262)-891-4253 or email us at Milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer a super clean 1974 Grand Prix Model J. There is a class of vehicle which is becoming more and more difficult to find: original and unrestored. With the popularity of resto-mods, or complete frame off restorations, there are fewer and fewer survivors out there. This particular 1974 Pontiac Grand Prix is an unrestored car with 54,986 original miles. The engine and trans are original and believed to have never been out of the car. It has the 400 CID V8 and an automatic which run and shift beautifully. The exterior is green which is in surprising great shape for the age of the vehicle. Needless to say, most mid 70s muscle cars have either been wrapped around trees or rusted to pieces. It great to see such a well-preserved piece of Pontiac history. Opening the door is like stepping back in time. The green upholstery is in wonderful condition as is the dash and steering wheel. This was a high line vehicle in the 70s, so its loaded with all the goodies: Air Conditioning, AM/FM/Cassette, power steering, power brakes, and even power windows! Whether youre a Pontiac collector, or just entering the classic car hobby, this cream puff 1974 Grand Prix Model J would be a great addition to any collection. You can see this beauty in greater detail in our Chicago showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 708-444-4488 or chicago@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Denver welcomes this 1973 Buick Riviera! The Buick Riviera is a personal luxury car produced by Buick from 1963 to 1999. GMs first entry into that prestige niche, the Riviera was highly praised by automotive journalists upon its high-profile debut. While early models stayed close to the original form, eight subsequent generations varied substantially over the Rivieras thirty-year lifespan. In all, 1,127,261 were produced. The Riviera name had been used by Buick starting with the 1949 model to designate a hardtop body style, right through a large top-of-the-line six-window 1962 Electra 225 hardtop. The crisply styled, ground-up design that debuted 1963 was Buicks first unique Riviera model, and pioneered the GM E platform. The Riviera name was resurrected for concept cars displayed at auto shows in 2007 and 2013 in hopes of reintroducing the marque, but no plans to do so are currently in place. Unlike its subsequent GM E platform stablemates, the Oldsmobile Toronado and Cadillac Eldorado, the Riviera was initially a standard front engine/rear-wheel drive platform, only becoming front wheel drive starting in 1979 as part of a sweeping move in that direction by the American automobile industry. The Riviera was radically redesigned for the 1971 model year with flowing and dramatic boat-tail styling.[21] Designed under Bill Mitchells direction, it was penned by Jerry Hirshberg, future head of design for Nissan, mating the two-piece vee-butted[8]:792 fastback rear window, inspired by the 1963 Corvette Sting Ray split window coupe, to the Rivieras platform. The design was originally intended for the smaller GM A platform, and the use of the Rivieras body—expanded for 1971 by 3 in (76 mm) in wheelbase and more than 120 lb (54 kg) heavier—produced controversial looks. (Collectible Automobile ran an article about 1971-76 full-sized Buicks in which one sketch design for their 2-door coupes which was rejected resembled the 1971-73 Riviera). This generation introduced a much more visual representation of the sweepspear, with a more faithful representation to the version that appeared on 1950s Buicks in both the side molding and beltline. The 455 engine had a lower compression ratio to meet EPA emissions requirements, reducing power to 255 hp (190 kW), with 265 hp (198 kW) in the Gran Sport. Performance remained reasonably brisk, with a 0-60 time of 8.1 seconds for the GS, but the Rivieras sporty image was rapidly fading. One noteworthy advance was Buicks Max Trac limited-slip differential.[22] The 1971 Riviera also features GMs Full-Flo ventilation system and two large deck lid louvers are prominent on the trunk lid. (Unfortunately, under certain conditions a vacuum was created that sucked rain and exhaust back into the car and the Full-Flo ventilation was redesigned and the louvers were removed from trunk lid for the 1972 model year.) For 1973, the 250 hp (186 kW) engine became standard, with 260 hp (190 kW) with the Stage One package, which also included a limited slip differential and a chrome-plated air cleaner. The Gran Sport package was still available as a separate option package consisting of a ride-and-handling package that included a rear stabilizer bar, JR78-15 whitewall steel-belted radial tires, a specially tuned radial roadability suspension, additional sound insulation and special Gran Sport badging. Sluggish sales of the third generation Riviera led GM to believe that the boattail deck lid was too radical for most customers tastes, so in 1973 it was blunted and made slightly shorter. The design change however only led to a marginal increase in sales, with 34,080 being produced for the model year. Description:

The 21st century Ford Thunderbird was a collectable the moment it hit the showroom, but some are more collectable than others. This relatively rare 2004 Ford Thunderbird Pacific Coast Roadster stands out in a crowd while still delivering the same driving experience that keeps these cars in such high demand. Like the Neiman-Marcus and 007 editions, the Pacific Coast Roadster got its own color called Monterey Mist Green, which makes the Thunderbird look sleek, not vintage. For a car that has been around for 15 years now, the finish is in very good condition, a testament to both the care it has received and the fact that it was never really used as a daily driver. Build quality on these cars was quite good, with sharp gaps all around and doors that close with a solid sound, rather well done for a car with a convertible top. The vintage T-Bird look is still there in small doses, particularly up front where there is a nice chrome grille and hood scoop, while out back, the big, round taillights are a 21st century take on Fords favorite jet-age styling feature. Beautiful Thunderbird emblems resemble the originals with their inlaid turquoise details and a few well-chosen bits of chrome give this Bird an upscale feel. Overall, this car is impressively clean for its age. The Light and Dark Ash interior is a nice contrast to the metallic green paint, and it is far more comfortable in the sun than black and far more interesting than tan. It also appears to be years younger and miles fresher than you would expect, with seats showing only very minor wear and it is worth noting that this was the only time cloth inserts were used on the Thunderbird. Of course, on Fords flagship, everything was standard, so you get ice cold A/C, power windows, locks, mirrors, and seats, cruise control, and a great-sounding stereo that works well top up or top down. There were several different dashboard finishes available, but the Pacific Coast Roadsters received a unique dot pattern that looks great with the white-faced gauges and turquoise pointers. It is strictly a 2-seater, but there is a well-finished package shelf behind the seats and a good-sized trunk that is fully upholstered in as-new condition. And like the Birds of the past, this one offers both a unique Light Ash convertible top (power assisted, of course) as well as a contrasting Ash Metallic porthole hardtop. The only engine available in the late-model Birds was a 3.9-liter DOHC V8 that delivered the kind of effortless performance that made the original so popular. It is not a racer, but it is competent and has a great V8 grow. It starts easily, idles smoothly, and moves the tidy convertible with gusto but never threatens to get unruly. A 5-speed automatic transmission was the only choice, and it, too, specializes in always being in the right gear without attracting a lot of attention. An all-independent suspension handles well but does not jostle occupants and the 4-wheel discs are powerful. Finally, those 16-spoke alloys are also unique to the Pacific Coast Roadster. This Thunderbird neatly balances price and quality with fun and collectability, making it a great choice for a late-model hobby car. Call today! To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this sharp 1988 Jaguar XJ-SC HE Convertible. This Jag might be the sharpest one available on the market as of now and only has 58,3196 miles. However, this car has had a total new engine put in it less than 1,000 miles ago. What makes this car unique is the fact that is has the option to remove only the Targa top or the full convertible top. It not only has the soft convertible top but also a Hardtop with a glass window that comes with the car. This is the last year of this model and limited production. Powering this sports car is a 5.3L V12 engine and mated to the stock automatic transmission. It comes with a clean history report and title. From July 1981, the XJ-S was renamed the XJ-S HE and received the new High-Efficiency V12 engine for much better fuel economy. With the Fire Ball combustion chamber designed by Swiss Engineer Michael May, power output was increased as a by-product to 295 hp or 263 hp in North America. Options on this beautiful Jaguar includes AM/FM radio with Cassette, power windows, power brakes, power steering, cruise control, leather sport bucket seats, alloy wheels with radial tires, and so much more! The Silver colored paint flows nicely with the blue leather interior and blue cloth hardtop. The chrome and woodgrain accents thought the style of this car are truly elegant. The current owner has enjoyed this car for the past 15 plus years and is finally ready to allow someone else to make memories in it. Also 60,000 mile service was done with brakes and rotors replaced. If you are looking for a show piece or even something that you could drive daily, this could be the Jaguar for you! Description:

*MORE PICTURES AND VIDEO COMING SOON* Gateway Classic Cars of Denver is proud to offer this 1952 Buick Special 46S The Special was an automobile produced by Buick. It was usually Buicks lowest-priced model, starting out as a full-size car in 1936 and returning in 1938 (after a two-year hiatus) as a mid-size. By 1970, Special was no longer offered as a standalone model but the name would later be used for the entry trim on 1975 to 1979 and 1991 to 1996 Century models. The entry level Buick can trace its heritage to the Buick Model 10, a companion to Buicks first car, the Buick Model B. The Model 10 started out as one of the independent brands merged into Buick, called the Janney. Halfway into the 1949 model year, the Specials received all-new bodywork, the first fully postwar design for the series. New was also the 40D-series, a better equipped version called the Special DeLuxe.[10] The engine remained the 248 cu in (4.1 L) which had been used since 1937, but for 1951 this was replaced by the larger Fireball inline-eight. A two-door hardtop coupe was also new for 1951.[11] The 1954 Specials had an all-new body and chassis, much wider and lower, and were now equipped with the all-new, more powerful Nailhead V8 engines.[12] For additional information please call our sales staff at (303) 872-4722 or email us at Denver@GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this gorgeous 1964 Chevelle Malibu. The Chevelle was intended to compete with the Fairlane and was supposed to reflect a car similar in size to the Classic Tri-Five of the decade prior. They would go down as being some of the most memorable cars of our time. The Malibu continued its reign as the leading seller of the Chevelle and would continue to do so throughout the Chevelles life, because it boasted the highest number of model options with the 4-door sport sedan, 2-door sport coupe, convertible, 4-door sedan, and 2-seat station wagon. One could get anything from a base model 300 coupe with a 230 CI inline 6 with a 3 on the tree, to a 4-door wagon with a 327 and a 4-speed manual, to a fire-breathing 375 HP 396 CID V8 in the SS model. If you wanted it, chances are it could be found in a Chevelle. This beautiful edition of a 1964 Malibu Chevelle is equipped with a period and date code correct 230 CI Inline 6 and the 3 on the tree 3 speed manual transmission. The car was resprayed back to its original Ember Red factory paint code 922 in 2009. The red vinyl interior really matches well with the exterior and really gives this car that 60s nostalgia. This car has been in a couple of movies and music videos and is just the right amount of cool with that cruiser drivetrain. Options on this beautiful 1964 Chevelle Malibu include: Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior,Seatbelts, Rally Wheels and white wall radial tires. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is excited to offer this 1978 Chevrolet El Camino. This clean fine example is powered by her consignor stated, original 350 cu in V-8 mated to the 3-speed automatic transmission. She spent her life in Franklin, TN, and was purchased from a consignment dealer in Nashville TN, and was told she was a 1-owner car - though he lacks the documentation such as a title, or any service records. He also believes the mileage to be correct at 106,770, as he bought her with 104,000-miles. Painted in the Blue 2-tone scheme, with a Black vinyl interior, factory a/c, and the factory Rally wheels, brings you back to that era! GGC would consider her to be a very nice driver, as she shows very well, including paint, trim, and the bumpers. She runs and sounds very nice as their dual exhaust just takes it up a notch. You can tell when an owner has taken care of their baby - and trust me - shes been well taken care of. Most owners of these vehicles tend to be older gentlemen who love their rides -by the protection items such as aftermarket bed rails, spray-in bed liner, better mats... and some like to show them. Well, you can do the same - if thats what youd like to do - or just enjoy her. She is sitting on the factory rally wheels, with nice trim rings, and Cooper Cobra Radial G/T P215/70R14 radial tires. Options include power steering, power brakes, vinyl interior, a/c, tilt wheel, cruise control, JVC am/fm/cd stereo, Futurex bed liner insert, aftermarket bed side rails, Rally wheels.
