Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston has a fantastic opportunity for you to own this beautiful ONE OWNER Porsche. The car was owned by a B-17 flying fortress pilot who purchased the car brand new and owned it until his passing. His son found it in his barn and sold it to the current owner, who only titled it in his name to be able to sell it with us. The miles are fully documented and everything that has ever been done has been noted. It is a survivor car and not 100% perfect but it would be very difficult to find a more original and well optioned car from this era that hasnt had a full restoration. The air conditioning system was a dealer installed option. This is a 1976 year model of the 914! 1976 marked the last year for this awesome little sports car. The Porsche 914 or VW-Porsche 914 was a mid-engined, targa-topped two-seater roadster designed sports car manufactured and marketed collaboratively by Volkswagen and Porsche from 1969 to 1976. Amazingly, this one has maintained the same owner since it was purchased brand new all those years ago! A testament to the greatness of this car. It has gone almost 40 years without ever being damaged or repainted and it still has the original engine and transmission. Power goes to the rear wheels via the mid mounted 2.0l engine, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission which gives the near 2100lb vehicle plenty of power to excited. The low curb weight and mid-engine layout is the perfect layout for a nimble and playful sports car. This Porsche features air conditioning to help keep the cabin cool on those hot summer days. You will be able to play your favorite radio station on the AM/FM radio with cassette player. The targa top is something that is becoming more rare with newer cars but this car comes with a fully functioning example of this. Safety is paramount in any vehicle and you will be pleased to find seat belts inside. Whether you purchased and owned a 914 back when you could find them brand new in the dealerships or if you are a first time 914 owner, you will love this one. The white paint job and vinyl interior go beautifully together and it will certainly turn heads. This could be perfect for weekend car shows or just a good drive in the country. Porsche is a staple when it comes to real driver’s cars and this is no exception. It is a machine that you can truly feel connected to when you’re behind the wheel. This excellent example of a classic German automobile won’t last long. We have financing and shipping options available to make the purchasing process easier even if you are not in the Houston area. Don’t miss this one. Call the Houston showroom at (832) 243-6220 for more information on this vehicle. If you are viewing this on a 3rd party website then you will be able to find more pictures and an HD video by visiting www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Our showroom is open to the public and you can visit us 9-5 Mon-Sat at 71 Esplanade Blvd Suite 100, Houston, TX 77060.

Description:

We have a 1987 Mercedes 560SL for sale here in our Milwaukee location. It features silver paint and a blue interior. An all original 5.6l with a 4 speed auto transmission. The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is a grand touring car manufactured by Mercedes since 1954. The designation SL derives from the German Sportlich-Leicht, (English: Sport Lightweight). The original idea was suggested by American importer Max Hoffman, who perceived a market for a toned-down Gran Prix car tailored to affluent performance enthusiasts in the booming post-war American market, which remains the primary market for the vehicles. The SL designation was first applied to the 300 SL, often referred to as the Gullwing due to its gullwing or upward-opening doors. The term SL refers to the marketing variations of the vehicle, including the numerous engine configurations spanning six design generations. The 300 SL base model was available as standard in a 5-speed manual although very few were sold. The SOHC 6 cylinder M103 is typically considered to have handling advantages with its lighter weight engine. The 560 SL was only sold in the USA, Canada, Japan, and Australia to compensate the reduced output of the 5.0-litres due to the stricter emission laws in these markets. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1987 Mercedes 560SL in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (262)-891-4253 or email us at Milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to offer a super clean 1990 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Referred to by GM as The King of the Hill, these ZR1s were amazing machines in 1990 and still are even by todays standards. The beating heat of the ZR1 is a 375 horsepower LT-5 V8. This dual overhead cam, four valve per cylinder V8 was developed with help from Lotus and assembled by Mercury Marine. Until this time, all Corvettes were pushrod V8s, and even after the ZR1, all modern Vettes are pushrod engines. Backing this beautiful power plant is a 6 speed manual transmission. With this combination, the car is good for a top speed of 180 MPH and a 0-60 time just above 4 seconds. This particular example, with only 42,650 miles on the odometer, is just getting broken in. The black on black color scheme is timeless, and many would confuse this 1990 as a much newer car than it is. If youre a Corvette enthusiast, the ZR1 is a must have for your collection. Even if youre just a performance enthusiast, there is no denying the amazing specs of this 1990s classic. You can see this 1990 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail in our Dallas showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 817-310-9400 or dallas@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

Description:

We are excited to offer for sale at our Gateway Classic Cars Showroom in Saint Louis this fully restored 1936 Ford Humpback. This two door sedan is powered by its original 221 Flathead V8 and shifts through a 3-speed manual transmission. Eight years ago the car underwent a full body off restoration to bring the car back to as it was in 1936. Originality was the key and the execution was spot on. All new brakes lines, exhaust system, bumpers and trim. It is still equipped with the original clock that winds up and keeps time. The interior is back to original and the car is also fitted with new wide white wall tires. There are only 207 miles on the car since the restoration and it still looks amazing. Its a true pleasure to see and drive a car that has been restored back to original specs. Its an easier task in most cases to turn an old car into a hot rod. With this car, you get an idea on what it was like to drive one of these when they were new. Its easy to appreciate the time and detail that goes into restoring this Humpback. Turn the key, pull the choke out a bit, adjust the throttle as you engage the starter and listen to that famous Flat head V8 come to life. Painted gloss black with gray cloth interior riding on wide white wall tires is as classic as it comes. For more information on this 1936 Ford Humpback, call 618-271-3000 or stop by our St. Louis showroom for a closer look. To view HD photos and video, visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com

Description:

Our Atlanta showroom is selling this 25th Anniversary 1978 Chevrolet Corvette! The seller states this as a 2-owner survivor with 80,601 miles registering on the odometer. The last caretaker owned her for the last 25 years before letting her go. The Anniversary Vettes introduced many styling upgrades that would continue to the end of C3 production, including the deep chin spoiler, the fastback roofline, and ducktail spoiler, and many would consider this the pinnacle of style. The two-tone silver paint on the exterior looks to be original just as the interior is! If you ask me one of the best features these cars had is the T-tops roof! These seal just as tight as the day they were new to keep any inclement weather out but can also be removed in a jiffy to allow the sunshine in and the wind to blow through your hair as you cruise down the road. Under the hood youll find the original 350 cubic inch V8 which is rated at 185 horsepower. Backing the engine is a 3-speed automatic transmission. While sitting behind the seat you are welcomed by the factory dash and gauge cluster sure to transport you back to the days when these cars ruled the road. Oyster color leather bucket seats keep you and any passenger comfortable no matter what your driving style. Radial tires and alloy wheels add to the sporty looks of the exterior while keeping to the original great looks of this car. Options include; power brakes, power steering, a/c, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, cruise control, am/fm/cassette, power windows, and factory aluminum wheels. You can view this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Now for sale at Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is this beautiful 2008 Chevrolet Corvette. There is nothing that screams American more than a Corvette. Some may say it’s not a “Classic” yet, but I think “Iconic” serves it enough justice. This Vette is powered by a very strong and aggressive LS3 with only a little over 44,000 miles on it. The 6-speed automatic transmission is a breeze going through the gears and can do it casually or quickly depending on your mood. Another nice feature is the paddle shifters, so you can have a little fun when leaving a stop light along with the mustang that pulled up next to you. When you are behind the wheel of something that can go this quick, it’s great to know you have 4 sets of drilled disk brakes to provide plenty of stopping power. The brakes are part of the Z51 heavy duty suspension package on the car to ensure a safe and smooth ride. The tires also have plenty of tread life left in them, making this car ready for the road. The paint is the original Corvette silver and is in great condition. I can’t forget to mention the dual mode exhaust give the car both a conservative and aggressive sound. It is said that this dual feature provides a little extra power to this beauty as well. With a great looking exterior the interior keeps it looking just as good. The sleek black leather interior is in great shape with no major rips or tears. Everything from the carpet to the headliner on this car is in like new condition. This car is worth taking a closer look at, and who knows maybe you’ll decide to take it home with you. Some additional features include power locks, power windows, power steering, A/C, AM/FM Radio, power seats, and cruise control.
