Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is overwhelmingly excited to feature this 1939 Chevrolet Coupe for sale in our Arizona showroom right now, located in North Phoenix. Once upon a time, drag racing was all any motorhead wanted to talk about in America. V8s dominated this scene of course, but some racers and builders decided to be Salmon in a stream full of Trout- they swam upstream with their 6 Cylinders in an attempt to win against all odds. This gasser is a product of two drag racing greats- the late, great “Bullet Bob Reid and “Fast Freddie Fred Wagenhals. Reid wanted to recreate the 39 Chevy gasser from his U.S. Nationals days of the 50s and 60s while Wagenhals hadnt forgotten his roots and was all in for partnering on the build. This 1939 Chevy Coupe has a L25 292 Inline 6 engine bored .40 over to 298 CID. A 12-port Sissel fuel injected head, GRP aluminum rods, J&E pistons, Outlaw headers and a 9 inch rear end geared to 5:67 help this awesome build run a sub-10 second quarter mile topping out at almost 140mph. The numbers on this one are 576hp and 470lb ft of torque. This Chevy Coupe is gorgeous as well as quick- it is painted in Racing Red with throwback decals all over the car. Competition Engineering suspension, a stiffened roll cage and fresh M&H rear slick tires keep this drag racer on the straight and narrow towards a record breaking time. Indeed, this very car set the world record for 6 cylinder gassers on three separate occasions and has only been raced 10 times (according to the seller). Fill her up with 112 octane gas and hit the drag strip in this legendary build! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to offer this iconic 1958 Volkswagen Samba 23 Window Bus for sale right now in our Arizona showroom, located in North Phoenix. In the world of vintage VW buses, its all about the number of windows; prior to 1963, Kombi buses (base models) came with 11 windows, the Deluxe buses came with 15 and Samba buses like this one added a large canvas roof and 8 additional skylight windows to the top of the vehicle giving a total of 23. Built on VW Beetle mechanics, all VW buses including this one feature a rear-mounted air cooled 4 cylinder engine tied to a 4-speed manual transmission. The color combination on this VW bus is two-tone “Mouse Gray and White exterior paint with Tan wool/cloth interior seating for 8 passengers and carpet making for a calming and classy look. The restoration was completed over a long period of time and the bus is owned by a prominent VW collector who has several other buses besides this one. As for the elephant in the room, anyone who follows the collector car market knows how much money these 23 Window buses have brought at auction. According to Hagarty, these early 21 and 23 Windows remain incredibly popular and highly valuable even with millennials, who make up 20% of VW bus buyers. This is a trend we are not seeing with other cars in the 6-figure+ collector car market and a cause to be confident about investing in one of these now rather than waiting. Driving or riding in a restored VW bus like this instantly puts you in a vacation mindset- you can shut off from the world around you that is increasingly reliant on technology and enjoy a true driving experience in this simple and cheerful VW. Call our helpful and knowledgeable Sales staff today by dialing (623) 900-4884 for more information on this 1958 Volkswagen Samba 23 Window Bus for sale. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is pleased to offer this Stunning 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Restomod! The product of a fresh, $200K restoration that transformed a sun-seeking Malibu into a shadow-dwelling Super Sport, this slick Chevelle hardtop features a seamless and sinister appearance thats highlighted by a coat of jet-black paint. The cars high performance, Mast Motorsports LSX 454, which twists stout 11.4 to 1 compression into 628 dyno-proven horsepower and a massive 585 lb./ft. of torque, is a technological testament to the old rule: more cubic inches equals more horsepower! That killer small block sprints to its 6,800 RPM redline thanks to a fresh Tremec Magnum 6-speed thats built to handle 700 lb./ft. of torque. Holding that world-class drivetrain off the pavement is a $21K Art Morrison boxed chassis, which is seated between traditional mini tubs. At the front of that chassis, tubular control arms hang adjustable Strange coil-overs and Detroit Speed power rack and pinion steering between an Art Morrison sway bar and tough, C6 Corvette spindles. At the back of that chassis, an Art Morrison, chrome-moly 4-link is complete with two more Strange coil-overs and a second Art Morison sway bar. And at the corners of the car, a $4K set of Boze Lateral G wheels spin sticky 275/35ZR18 front, and 335/30ZR18 rear, BF Goodrich G-Force T/As around locking lug nuts and “LSX branded center caps. This stunning Chevelle looks absolutely predatory, and will likely attract a TON of attention wherever it goes. And with 628 horsepower under its hood, and a whole roster of top-notch equipment thats already spec-d and seamlessly bolted together, its your one way ticket to instant gratification! In an era where your local Chevy dealer sells 580 horsepower pony cars, and a whole roster of global companies engineer modern performance products for anything from a Civic to a Cadillac, its safe to say the pro-touring movement is alive and well. With that in mind, every so often we get a first class pro-tourer that instantly draws a crowd, even in our showroom of exclusive, one-of-a-kind muscle cars. This stunning Chevelle, which couples a Mast Motorsports LSX small block with a beefy Tremec 6-speed and serialized Art Morrison chassis, is one such stare magnet. Between its cool, custom interior and chill-inducing color combination, the car seems to have so much curb appeal that weve joked about selling tickets just to look at it! But, in our effort to become your one-stop shop for the worlds coolest muscle cars, we decided to offer it as an amazing classic that can be enjoyed on the road AND at the show. The product of a fresh, $200K restoration that transformed a sun-seeking Malibu into a shadow-dwelling Super Sport, this slick Chevy hardtop features a seamless and sinister appearance thats highlighted by a coat of jet-black paint. Now, we all know it isnt easy to perfect a body thats going to be dipped in deep black pigment and that difficulty doubles when said black pigment is pretty much the ONLY thing prospective admirers have to focus on. But, no worries here; just take one look down the sides of this Chevelles rock-solid fuselage and it becomes obvious that great care was taken to ensure each of its panels were aligned to better-than-factory fit. Step closer to those panels hypnotic finish and check out their straight and ripple-free surfaces, which are a product of both rust-free sheetmetal and high quality prep work. Grab that sheetmetals well-adjusted pivot points and feel how smoothly they close to provide an excellent fit, which is highlighted by precise gaps and glossy clearcoat sheen. Now, step back and watch it all add up to one very well-done pro-tourer thats built to exacting specifications. Many enthusiasts view the 70 Chevelle as the pinnacle of both muscle car and classic Chevy design. Thats probably why this 72 is so intent on lying about its true age. At the front of its aphotic profile, a familiar crossbar grille hangs smoked Fesler HIDs above a full, body-matched bumper thats complete with heavily smoked marker lamps. Behind that grille, a striking carbon fiber hood anchors a custom cowl panel below two Ringbrothers lanyards, a small, body-matched sport mirror and tinted glass thats framed in glossy, color-keyed trim. At the sides of that hood, modern, Charcoal door handles combine with completely shaved fenders to add sensual sizzle to the cars liquid-smooth profile. And at the back of that profile, a second, body-matched bumper hangs smoked Dakota Digital LEDs beneath a bright, carbon fiber deck lid. Few cars fit the “muscle car description better than a Chevelle. So, when it comes to building an A-Body thats as threatening as this Chevelle, youd better have SERIOUS power on tap. Twisting stout 11.4 to 1 compression into 628 dyno-proven horsepower and a massive 585 lb./ft. of torque, this coupes high performance, Mast Motorsports LSX 454 is a technological testament to the old rule: more cubic inches equals more horsepower! Based on GMs stalwart iron block small block, Masts brutal mill utilizes forged Callies internals, Mahle pistons, ARP fasteners and a custom Mast Motorsports cam to flat out whip pretty much anything with four wheels. A perfect amount of air and fuel is supplied by a mandatory GM throttle body thats cinched to a big, reusable filter element. That air and fuel mixes in a proven Vortec intake and progresses to familiar LS3 cylinder heads that are built with Manley pushrods and LS3 hydraulic roller lifters. Immediately following combustion, spent gases roar through 3-inch, mandrel-bent pipes via black, Jet-Hot coated Stainless Works headers. And a big Be Cool radiator, two Spal puller fans, a heavy duty crankcase breather and high quality Aeromotive fuel components ensure rocket-like acceleration. The modern small block rides in a clean, body-matched engine bay that displays OEM-level attentiveness to both engineering and assembly. And many details, like a smoothed firewall, braided fluid lines, orange, “LSX 454 branded valve covers and slick Fesler hood hardware, dress up GMs traditionally conservative aesthetics. This is usually the point in a pro-tourer breakdown where passive optimism has turned into nail-biting enthusiasm. And unfortunately, that excitement is sometimes dampened by statements like “a stalwart TH400 transmission or “a familiar 12-bolt rear end. Not so with this first class Chevelle! Its owners crystal clear vision of eventual perfection has culminated in a completely custom suspension thats chock full of high performance hardware and modern drivetrain components. The killer small block twists to its 6,800 RPM redline thanks to a fresh Tremec Magnum 6-speed thats built to handle 700 lb./ft. of torque. Fitted with a scatter shield, and sealed in a Quick Time bellhousing, that stout T56 utilizes an ACT Xtreme twin-disc clutch and custom, alloy driveshaft to spin a limited slip differential around a back-braced, 9-inch rear end, big, 3.89 gears and Strange axles. Holding that world class drivetrain off the pavement is a $21K Art Morrison boxed chassis, which is seated between traditional mini tubs. Stops come courtesy of a body-matched, Wilwood disc brake system that wraps 6-piston front calipers, and 4-piston rear calipers, around 14-inch drilled and slotted rotors. At the center of the car, custom, mandrel-bent pipes swirl spent gases through a big, X-shaped crossover to polished resonators and great sounding Dynomax mufflers. And at the corners of the car, a $4K set of Boze Lateral G wheels spin sticky 275/35ZR18 front, and 335/30ZR18 rear, BF Goodrich G-Force T/As around locking lug nuts and “LSX branded center caps. Aesthetically, the bottom of this Chevelle is just as clean as its top, featuring black floors and a full outfit of stainless hardware. And essentials like a new fuel tank, braided brake lines and an in-tank, high flow fuel pump round out a roster of top notch details. Open this Chevys solid-closing doors and take in a custom black interior that, as an astute combination of serious hardware and modern aesthetics, is the perfect place to spend high profile weekends. The first thing youll notice is four racing-style bucket seats: two of which are fitted with 5-point Impact Racing harnesses, and all of which are so supportive theyll have no problem living 100 miles at a time. In front of those seats, a custom dash hangs carbon fiber-styled inserts between custom American Autowire wiring and Auto Meter GM Performance Parts bowtie gauges. Below that dash, a custom, full-length console anchors a traditional Hurst shifter between a Wilwood brake proportioning valve and controls for a familiar Vintage Air climate system. At the base of that console, new carpet anchors heavy duty floor mats beneath body-matched foot pedals. At the edge of those rugs, custom side panels hang suede inserts behind small armrests and anodized door hardware. Above those panels, a leather headliner frames a billet rearview mirror in front of a bright, LED dome light. In front of the driver, a stylish, 4-spoke steering wheel spins a thick black rim around a tilting, Flaming River steering column. Behind the passengers, a fully finished trunk mixes stylish leather panels with billet, Fesler hinges. And the cars builders made sure safety was a top priority by installing a full Art Morrison cage over a track-ready fire suppression system. Description:

Gateway classic cars of Nashville is proud to digitally present this 1969 Chevrolet RS/SS Camaro convertible. WOW! I could complete this description with just that one word. WOW! The body work and paint on this classic is amazing. Deep gloss black that has almost no distortion, when looking at yourself in the paint it will not give you the fun house mirror effect. Foose rims complete the look. Ok, you have seen the photos of this beauty, you know how it looks, let open the hood and talk. 427 cubic inch of pure Chevrolet Rat power. 427 happens to be my luck number! This 427 is sporting 290 Cast heads that have been worked and fitted with 2.190 intake valves and 1.880 exhaust, this engine can breathe in the fuel and air with ease. Sitting on top of what looks to be a factory four-barrel intake manifold is a Holley sniper EFI system, complete with coil and distributor. This package looks great, and a quick glance looks just like a 4-barrel carburetor but provides a snappy throttle response and better fuel milage that the standard carburetor. The 10 to 1 compression pistons provide the punch and Hedman headers allow the spent gasses to escape smoothly and effortlessly through the dual exhaust. Standing behind the car while it is running is like listening to stereo horsepower! What looks to be a turbo 400 three speed automatic transmission handles the shifting for you and a 12-bolt rear axle housing splits the power to both rear tires that plant the torque to the pavement. This is the complete package, old school cool, built 427, turbo 400 and I believe a 12 bolt all wrapped up is a beautiful Black, drop top package. Gee I think I just sold myself, where do I sign? Options for this 1967 Chevrolet RS/SS Camaro include: Air conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Power convertible top, Power steering and brakes, 4 wheel disc, front drilled and slotted, Seat belts, Vinyl interior and Chromed alloy Foose rims that are wrapped in Radial rubber. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this unbelievably custom 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. The 55 Chevy Bel-Air is arguably one of the best-looking cars ever built. There clean lines and finless design make them great candidates for full on custom builds. Art Morrison started out building frames for tubbed out drag cars in the 70’s and 80’s but the company really took off when he began building his line of pro-touring chassis’. This 55 is sitting on one of his custom-built frames which not only looks good but increases the handling of the car dramatically. Finished off in the same Erica red paint as the body making the transition from floor pan to frame almost seamless. With touches of chrome here and there to break it up you can tell this was a well thought out build. The stance of the car was also dramatically changed due to the chassis as well with it sitting much lower than a stock 55. The wheels will be the next thing you notice with the set consisting of 18’s in the front and 20’s in the back giving the car that aggressive look. Behind those wheels are a set of chrome plated calipers that blend nicely while the cross-drilled and slotted rotors show people you mean business. Under that silky-smooth hood is was most consider the Mecca of LS powerplants. This LS7 has been built with a mild cam giving it a nice lope at idle but the real work is in the details. The intake has been painted to match with the custom firewall being cleaned up which flows into the custom inner fender wells. A custom piece of metal was formed to cover up the radiator as well making this engine bay look seamless like the rest of the car. Putting power to the road is a built 4l60 transmission giving you the capability to drive this beauty down the freeway comfortably at highway speeds. Inside the custom touches are extensive with the dash being made from one piece of metal as well. The gauges and AC vents are molded into that custom dash as well keeping with that flowing design. The leather wrapped seats are extremely comfortable while the Lokar shifter sits perfectly in the custom-made console. With this car being a fresh build and never shown to the public this beauty is guaranteed to collect a whole room of trophies or do what this car was intended to do Drive It! Options on this 1955 Custom Chevrolet Bel Air include, AC, AM/FM, Power Windows, Power Steering, Leather Interior, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels with Radial Tires. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a great little 1980 MG B. These Bs are a lovely classic car to own. Since they were made in England, they have plenty of British character. Luckily by 1980, they had worked out the bugs with these Bs and they really are quite reliable vehicles. The recipe is simple: a 4 cylinder engine up front, a 4 speed transmission in the middle, and rear wheel drive. This makes for a really fun to drive, yet simple machine. This particular example has been beautifully kept and shows only 76,319 miles on the odometer. The car is mostly stock with the exception of a single Weber carburetor. The 1,800cc engine runs beautifully and the car drives like a much newer vehicle than it is. The MG is finished in jet black inside and out which gives a nice timeless look. The paint has a deep shine and the interior shows very little wear. This car has been used as a sunny day driver and would be great to bring to the local Cars and Coffee. The engine compartment is clean and presentable, so its ready to show! You can see this cherry little 1980 MG B in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is pleased to offer something one doesnt come across very often, a nifty baby blue 1984 Ford replica of the classic 1955 Ford Thunderbird. While we dont have many details on the kit that was used to create this snazzy recreation of the classic 1950s personal luxury cruiser (that the first generation Thunderbird was), itll fool most onlookers! The light blue paint on the fiberglass body looks good, and it is well-suited to this body. The title indicates that the platform has a 1984 Ford 302 engine and AOD (4-speed automatic) Transmission. This 1984 Ford/1955 Ford Thunderbird replica has Power-assisted Front Disc Brakes, Air Conditioning, AM/FM/Cassette Radio, Power Steering, White Synthetic Leather Seating, Seat Belts, Spare Tire and Jack, Radial Tires, and Removable Hardtop (it becomes a roadster when removed - no folding convertible top, however). The dual exhaust system reminds listeners that they have V8 power under the hood, the AOD transmission makes for comfortable highway cruising, and the radial tires and gas-charged shocks make for a better ride than youd expect. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to offer this low-mileage vintage 1976 Mercedes Benz 300D for sale. The W115-114 Chassis became a very successful platform for Daimler-Benz and provided customers with more precise handling, superior road surface irregularity damping and isolation, a more comfortable interior, and more modern styling than the previous chassis had, with its newer, smoother lines. The interior of this Benz shows you what German luxury was all about in the 1970s and features larger seating areas covered in MB-Tex upholstery, wood grain interior trim, a large steering wheel, and easy to operate controls. Under the hood is Mercedes venerable, nearly-bulletproof inline 5-cylinder diesel engine. Its ability to deliver near-gasoline-engine-like acceleration was a combined result of its seamless torque delivery, and smooth-shifting automatic gearbox; which gave the 300Ds the ability to easily reach highway speeds without the typical diesel drama that lesser types of diesel were known for (you know - the wait, wait, wait, ahh, now were moving! experience). Merging onto freeway on-ramps was no longer something that one had to plan well in advance for, to avoid being rear-ended by cars already moving at speed. In addition to being well known and popular for their looks, these cars were touted for reliability and durability, with many of them reaching the vaunted Million Mile club; and, like this low-mileage example, are still on the road today. Options on this Mimosa Yellow beauty include cruise control, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power locks, power windows, air conditioning, power sunroof, AM/FM radio, seat belts, radial tires, and color-matched painted wheel covers. This classic has been well kept for its entire life and is ready to provide its next lucky owner with many years and many more miles of fine driving. This is the one you want to own. This 1976 Mercedes 300 D is sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1977 Ford Thunderbird. The Thunderbird was produced from 1957-1997 and 2002-2005 as a two-door luxury coupe. Ford has marketed the T-bird for their driving comfort and convenience features over being a performance car. Over the years the Thunderbird has evolved from a two-seater hardtop convertible to a full- fledged five-seater land yacht and back to a two-seater hard top convertible again during its long run. This 1977 Ford T-Bird was manufactured as a seventh- generation model. At a time when fuel efficiency was at the forefront, the T-Bird was shorted by eight inches and lost 900lbs of weight to obtain better fuel mileage. In hindsight, the 1977 Thunderbird by design never lost the appearance of being a large car. This 1977 Ford Thunderbird is painted in Dark Brown Metallic accented with a light chestnut vinyl top and matching side moldings. Hidden headlights and factory alloy wheels are great eye appealing features. The dark brown cloth interior is luxuriously appointed with a 50/50 split front bench seating and deep pile carpeting. Under the hood is a 351 Windsor V-8 attached to three-speed automatic transmission. Comfort features include air conditioning, power steering, power brakes and an AM/FM radio.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is excited to offer this sharp 1961 Ford Fairlane for sale. It is turnkey and ready to go with only about 5,000 miles on the 351 Windsor V8 engine since being rebuilt. It is paired to an automatic transmission with overdrive and has 3.31 gearing in a Ford open rear-end. This car has the big body luxury feel with the get up and go of a Classic American Muscle car. For 1961, Ford smoothed the sides of the Fairlane. The designers also shortened and angled the fins, starting at the front door handles and flowing back to the rear end of the car. An additional cut-line was placed on the front fenders, ending at a smooth drivers side door. The front end was also less elaborate, making the car substantially smoother. Emphasizing the space-age look, the taillights went to the round jet-engine look along with the rest of the Ford line. Large, roomy, and pleasantly styled, the 1960 and 1961 Ford Fairlane is surprisingly rare today, though the variety of configurations mean that there is likely a Fairlane to fit virtually any need if it can be found. The overall paint and body of this 61 is in great condition and shines bright in the sun. Most recognize the Fairlane for its stylish grille and taillights. The red paint and offset 18 front with 20 rear Ridler wheels make this 61 Ford have an aggressive appearance. The custom gray cloth interior with leather trim show minor wear and look great. All the chrome trim, door handles, and bumpers still shine with a mirror like finish. This car has the perfect mix of classic car feel with more updated hot rod style. The dash seems to be original except for the extra gauges and steering wheel. The current owner has recently put on new tires, installed a new radio with Cd, new Carburetor, new water pump, and even the fan and Radiator are new. Options on this Ford include Air conditioning, CD player, seat belts, alloy wheels, radial tires, bucket seats, and so much more! If you are looking for the perfect car to take to car shows, impress your car buddies, maybe your next pro street, or even your first muscle car than this is the car for you. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer this funky 1971 Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback for sale on consignment with our Arizona showroom. The Type 3 Volkswagen used the same wheelbase as a Type 1 (Beetle) but with ponton side panels coming in Fastback, Notchback and Squareback styling. In total, around 2.5 million Type 3 Volkswagens were produced between 1961 and 1973. This vehicle was designed to be a show vehicle as well as a functional driver for weekend trips, which is everything the Volkswagen brand represents! The build can be classified as “frame up starting with stripping, working out any bodywork needed, media blasting and later repainting in two-tone Gray and Black to the tune of $9,000 according to the seller. Custom chrome bumpers and a roof rack have been added for functionality and looks. The 1600cc engine that comes with this vehicle has been through an expensive overhaul of its own from a full rebuild to new dual carb set up, alternator conversion and more. Similarly, the 3-speed automatic transmission on this vehicle, which is a rare option on Volkswagens to begin with, was rebuilt too. One of the nicest features of this Type 3 has to be the fully reupholstered interior and there have been some clever modifications inside too. The rear bench seat has three configurations; it can fold for more cargo room, provide seating for passengers and can even lay flat as a full-length bed! Storage compartments have also been added on both sides of the rear seats. Power windows are a nice convenience to have as well as the Bluetooth radio with USB input so you can plug your device right in. So you dont get stranded, theres the thoughtful addition of a battery kill switch for when youre not using the items that draw power. This 1971 Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback is a cool ride and you already know theres way more into this build than youll pay for it. For this unique ownership opportunity of an air-cooled Volkswagen classic, give our helpful and knowledgeable Sales staff a call today at (623) 900-4884 and we will be your eyes and ears on this VW Squareback.
