Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle. The new larger Beetle was sold as the 1302/1302 S. The sole purpose of the big Beetle was to provide increased luggage capacity, which grew 50%. MacPhearson front suspension was incorporated, like what was used in the Type 4, and the front track was widened. The new suspension layout allowed the spare tire to be positioned flat under the trunk floor, although the car had to be lengthened slightly to accomplish this. This also allowed a reduction in turning radius. To gain additional room, the under-dash panel was lowered, allowing the fuel tank to be shifted rearward. From the windscreen back, the big Beetle was identical to its smaller progenitor, except for having the semi-trailing arm rear suspension as standard equipment. This Beetle comes to us in stunning condition with an incredibly healthy 2055CC stroker engine that propels this bug down the road with gusto. This car is so fun to drive. This one is one of a kind. The interior has been finely upgraded with an incredibly thick padded blue vinyl seats and the tuck and roll motif carries into the trunk where custom panels are in place to cover the power amp up front. Equipped with a nicely appointed sound system this beetle not only sounds great but runs with the best of them. This little bug is a real neat little crawler. Make it yours today. This 1973 Volkswagen Beetle is for sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (407)771-2000 or email us at Orlando@GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

With only 1,500 miles since this 1941 Ford Coupe received extensive work to the engine and body, this old hot rod is ready to hit the open road and cruise! Under the hood sits a flathead V8 that has been professionally gone through and rebuilt and, matched with the original 3-speed manual transmission, is plenty powerful and a blast to drive. The electrical system was converted from a 6-volt system to a more reliable and easier to work with 12-volt system. Beautiful black paint was laid on in the clean straight body in the early 90’s and has held up very well over the years! The black leather interior is also in great shape and offers a comfortable ride. As you set off on your cruise you will be impressed at how smoothly the transmission shifts and the Bud Light shifter handle really adds to the hot rod feel. No matter where you go with this 1941 Ford it is sure to turn heads and will be appreciated at any car show it attends! This car has been in the same family for a couple decades, but is time to pass it on to someone who can love and appreciate the work that has been done just as much as the current owner. This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1941 Ford Coupe in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Gateway Classic Cars welcomes this 1966 Plymouth Belvedere to our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ! In 1965, Chrysler was ready to bounce back with the downsizing fiasco of 1962 with its release of the new C-Body platforms, but that didn’t put an end to the B-Body. It continued forward with great restyling and a heavy promotion of the mid-sized car. This where the Belvedere series shined and in 1966, the Belvedere went through another minor facelift and most importantly, the newsworthy changes under the hood. While this particular car does not boast a Commando 383 or 426, this sweet ride conveys serious attitude with dark red poly paint and tasteful black painted top that compliments the interior. Powering this Plymouth is a rebuilt 360 CID V8 linked to the legendary 727 automatic transmission. Take a seat behind the wheel of this Mopar and great ready to have a wonderful time as you cruise to your next destination! Call us today and take home this B-Body Beauty! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Ft. Lauderdale is very excited to offer this popular 1966 Chevrolet El Camino for sale in our Ft. Lauderdale Showroom. Ford might have been the first to create a pickup truck based on a car by introducing the Ranchero in 1957, most however would credit Chevrolet for increasing the popularity in this style vehicle. The style was based on a two-door station wagon platform that integrated the cab and bed into the body. Now suddenly people could cruise around in something that resembled their buddies Chevelle but still provided them with a working bed, if needed. The major changes to the 1966 included, new sheet metal was used, the same sheet metal they used on the Chevelle. They also featured an updated instrument panel with horizontal sweep speedometer and a few minor interior differences, depending on which version or model you purchased. This 1966 Chevy El Camino is dressed in Tuxedo Black paint with Black interior. This awesome El Camino is packing a 327 CID V8 engine under the hood and is mated to an automatic transmission which makes driving this beautiful black classic a breeze. Options on this 1966 Chevrolet El Camino include AM/FM Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, Rally Wheels. Description:

This 1997 Pontiac Trans-Am WS6 is not only one of the cleaniest one owner convertibles that you will find on the road today! It is also a low mileage car with 15,385 miles on the odometer. One look at the exterior of this car and you’ll notice that the white paint is just as shiny as the day this car was new. A larger valance has been added to the front of the car to help with down force. Also giving it more of an attitude as it’s going down the street. Matching it all up with the white convertible top is what helps make this car 1 of 41 ever produced with these options. Under the hood is the potent 5.7 LT1 V8 boasting 305 horsepower. An automatic transmission with overdrive takes care of the shifting of gears. Grey leather seats keep the occupants comfortable on any length of trip. Helping put the power to the ground are 17” WS6 aluminum wheels that are wrapped in BFGoodrich tires. Not many cars can be considered a true survivor car. If you are in the market for something that is going to stand out in a crowd but also has been barely broken in this Trans-Am is for you! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is enthusiastic to offer this 1972 Pontiac LeMans GT for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. This wonderful example is finished in a two-tone silver and blue on the exterior with a racy looking rear spoiler. Inside, you will be met with a matching blue and silver leather/suede interior where you’ll feel at home sitting on the charismatic front bucket seat eyeing up the period-correct gauges with your hands on the real wood steering wheel. Luckily by the time this 1972 LeMans GT was manufactured, Pontiac had introduced some of their higher horsepower engines that were previously exclusive to GTO’s to the LeMans and Tempest range. Our LeMans comes with the desirable 400 CID V8 backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission, with the shifter mounted on the column. Standard options on our 1972 Pontiac LeMans for sale include: Power Steering, Power Brakes, Air Conditioning (not currently functioning), Aluminum/Alloy Wheels and Seatbelts. Description:

For sale in our Nashville showroom is the blue beauty 1991 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28. Now this is not just any Camaro Z-28 this car is equipped with the 1LE package! To say it is equipped with the 1LE package seems strange as the 1LE is as close to a COPO as you could get that year. This car came “equipped” without a lot of the frills like air conditioning, power windows, power lock and cruise control. Who needs power windows when going fast is what you have in mind? This car did come “equipped” with a lot of performance goodies like a 5-speed manual transmission, heavy duty front brakes, aluminum driveshaft, special shocks for cornering, a dual fuel pick up for the fuel pump that was designed to keep the engine fed even while heavy cornering. During my research I found that only 478 of these cars were built that year making this a very rare car! These cars were not built to take to college or for your commute to work, these cars were built with one thing in mind, Destroy Mustangs. Many years ago, a Chevrolet executive was asked “just what is a Camaro?” his response? “A small, but vicious little animal that only eats Mustangs”. This is the car he had in mind. This 1LE Camaro Z-28 for sale has been loved and cared for and use for this purpose. Adding to the GM factory performance goodies the current owner pushed it further by adding aftermarket heads and a beefier bump stick (cam) as well as a MSD ignition box and auxiliary fuel pump, he also replaced the factory ring and pinion (3.42) with a new 3.70 to give the car a better launch. With just over 61,000 miles this Camaro 1le for sale has a lot of life and corner carving fun to give. Options for this 1991 1LE Z-28 Camaro for sale includes: aftermarket AM/FM CD player, Performance tires and a tilt steering wheel. Description:

It’s 1977, Atari is released in North America, the first Star Wars film, Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope premieres on May 25th, and this cool red 1977 Blazer rolls off the assembly line. Since than she has undergone a radical transformation. Starting with: 454 CID crate motor with less than 5,000 miles, rebuild 3-speed auto, rear quarters replaced with fiberglass Chevy dually panels, custom red and black interior, tonneau cover new paint in 2010, new Kenwood deck and sound system. Definitely one of kind truck that is sure to turn heads anywhere you go. The K5 Blazer was the smallest full size SUV version of the Chevrolet C/K family. Introduced to the Chevrolet line in 1969, the full-size Blazer was replaced in 1995 by the Chevrolet Tahoe. In 1970, GMC introduced its own model of the truck, called the Jimmy, which was discontinued in 1991 and replaced by the GMC Yukon in 1993. Both were based on the short wheelbase trucks and were available with either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The Blazers long wheelbase relative (with an integrated rear body, and doors for 2nd row passengers) is known as the Chevrolet Suburban. The Jimmy name was chosen to reflect the GMmy sound in a similar manner in how Jeep was a pronunciation of GP in the competing market. The K5 Blazer and Jimmy had full convertible removable tops until 1975. In 1976, GM introduced a half-cab design that was less prone to leaks and slightly safer in a roll-over. These half cabs are convertible starting at a few inches behind the driver/passenger doors all the way back to the tailgate. Description:

Now for sale at our Gateway Classic Cars Showroom in Saint Louis is this amazing 1973 Mercury Cougar convertible that is sporting a 3-speed automatic and has had a lot of restoration work done to it recently. BACKGROUND: Mercury Cougar is a nameplate applied to a diverse series of automobiles sold by Mercury from 1967 to 1997, and again from 1999 to 2002. The Second Generation Cougar (1971–1973) was restyled, weighed less, and had only a one-inch-longer wheelbase than its predecessors which was similar to GMs intermediate-sized two-door models, such as the Olds Cutlass). The front end now featured four exposed headlights; the disappearing headlights were eliminated. The center grille piece was now larger, sharing its appearance with the 1971 Mercury Cyclone. (Source Wikipedia). In regard to recent history, the current owner purchased this 1973 Mercury Cougar in Saint Louis in 2016 and since that time has done the follow work: body was stripped to bare metal and repainted, new carburetor & intake, new brake booster, new master cylinder, new proportioning valve, new front brake hoses, new front calipers & brakes, new exhaust, new wheels & tires, new carpet, seats reupholstered, new outside door handles, new inner & outer belt mouldings, new door & trunk seats, new sill plates, new alternator, new voltage regulator, new water pump, new fuel pump, and new aluminum radiator. Description:

For sale in our Nashville showroom is a 1999 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. This 1999 C5 for sale is looking classy dressed Black exterior and a sexy black leather interior. Just be careful this classy lady has a bite. This C5 for sale has less than 25,000 miles on the odometer and you can tell she is tired of not getting to run. This car wants to be driven, needs to feel the twist and turn of a country road beneath it wheels. In 1997 when the first C5s or 5th gen Corvettes rolled off the assembly line, they had, under their fiberglass hoods the new LS engines. These new LS engines have become the new standard and are being added to just about everything from T- buckets to resto mod cars of all sorts. The reason these LS engines are so popular is they are durable, powerful, and fuel efficient. You can find just about any aftermarket part you can imagine for them and with just a little help they make monster power. The LS1 5.7 used in this 1999 Corvette for sale had a rated horsepower of 345 and when you couple that to a 6 Speed manual transmission what you end up with is power at your fingertips at any speed. Also new for the C5 was the transmission becoming more of a rear transaxle this helping the car achieve a near perfect 50/50 weight distribution, with 50% of the weigh in the front and 50% in the rear giving this car the ability to straighten out turns. In my opinion, the C5s are some of the best value cars you could ever purchase. They look great, ride well, and they can be had at a very decent price, like this one! How could you buy more car for less money? Act fast because the weather is begging for a convertible. Options for this 1999 Corvette for sale include: Air conditioning, AM/FM CD player, Targa top, Lumbar support, Power Steering, brakes, seats, locks and windows, Tilt wheel, Traction control, Anti-theft system, Leather interior and Chrome rims.
