Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is excited to offer this sharp 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger. This car has its original numbers matching engine, transmission, rear end and gearing. The Dodge Dart is an automobile originally built by Dodge from 1960 to 1976 in North America, with production extended to later years in various other markets. The Dart name originally appeared on a 1957 show car featuring a body designed by the Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Ghia. The production Dart was introduced as a lower-priced, shorter wheelbase, full-size Dodge in 1960 and 1961, became a mid-size car for 1962, and finally was a compact from 1963 to 1976. In 1974, the US federal 5 mph bumper impact standards were expanded to cover rear bumpers as well as front ones, and as a result the Swinger and Dart sedans rear bumpers grew much more massive. Taillights larger than the previous years items were set above the rear bumper, rather than within it. Shoulder and lap belts were finally combined in all Chrysler products into a retractable, inertia-sensitive, single-buckle design Chrysler called Unibelt, replacing the difficult-to-use separate lap and shoulder belts that had been installed through 1973. The Arab oil embargo of 1973, increased sales of smaller cars in the U.S. Dodge introduced the Dart SE (Special Edition) in mid-1974 as a four-door sedan and two-door hardtop. The SE included velour high back bucket seats with folding armrest, carpeted door panels, woodgrain instrument panel and deluxe wheel covers along with a TorqueFlite automatic transmission as standard equipment. The SE came equipped with the Quiet Car package introduced in 1973. The air conditioning system available on all Darts had increased capacity, quicker cooldown and lower minimum temperatures. An evaporator pressure regulator valve, long used on larger Chrysler products, varied the compressors capacity without cycling the clutch. The Dart Sport 340 was replaced by the Dart Sport 360 245 Bhp. as the 360 cu in (5.9 L) V8 engine replaced the 340 cu in (5.6 L) engine discontinued after 1973. This 360 V8 engine has about 115k actual miles and still runs and drives top notch. Painted in a dark orange with black hood scoops and rear stripe, this car is a true head turner. The black vinyl interior is in great condition along with the dash and headliner. Options on this Dart include; A/C, AM radio with upgraded speakers, power brakes and steering, vinyl interior, Weld Racing wheels, and radial tires.Do not miss out on this beauty! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 1980 Shay Model A! The purchaser of this car not only receives 4 wheels of fun, a thorough history on the Shay Model A, but also with the car is 23 years of cherished memories and care. This vehicle has been owned by one family, and on paper is with the second owner who acquired it from extended family in 1998. The mileage is stated to be original by the seller, and we hope the condition vindicates the mileage. The original owner used the car VERY little, and the current owner has maintained the vehicle to a high standard ever since acquisition. The overall condition is great! The exterior, interior, and engine bay show no major issues or faults. The running condition is confidence inspiring as well. The owner had the entire brake system rebuilt three years ago along with all new coolant hoses. The seller purchased proper replacement tires from Coker Tire - adding confidence behind the wheel of this 3-pedal roadster! Staying true to its roots this Model A comes equipped with a manual transmission and three pedals. Unlike the original Model A this one has 4 forward gears, and a much easier to work with drivetrain. Accelerating and braking is decades (literally) ahead of the original Model A while retaining the original styling and appeal of it. Harry J. Shay - the founder of Shay Motors - was onto something special and in this writers opinion ahead of his time. Todays idea of a restomod is commonplace and almost expected. Wind the clock back 40 years and customizing cars is not new. Putting new engines in old cars is not new. Producing a classic with all new running gear but retaining a very original appearance, not quite as commonplace. Certainly not executed to this level! These vehicles are the perfect ice cream grabber, parade car, entry level classic, or golf-cart community super star. This particular vehicle is one of the finer examples to roll into our climate-controlled showroom. Shay Motors never produced more than 10,000 of their vehicles to dodge more strict vehicle manufacturing guidelines, so while this is not the only one, it may be one of the nicest surviving! This 1980 Shay Model A is offered by the St. Louis sales staff and can be seen in full detail on our website. Our listing all include 100+ HD photos and a detailed video! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to offer this super unique Corvette. There just might not be a bigger bang for the buck anywhere in our inventory than this 1984 Chevrolet Corvette. Now you may already be saying to yourself that an 84 Corvette is nothing special, but take a closer look: theres a 383 cubic inch stroker motor under the hood, fully functional A/C, and a long list of upgrades that make this car more than a match for cars costing thousands more, and 5500 Original Miles on the Chassis. Theres a certain appeal to the first of the all-new C4 Corvettes. Imagine the impression of seeing this car for the first time after more than 15 years of the C3; it must have been revolutionary. And its held up rather well, with clean lines that are unmistakably Corvette. The two-tone bronze finish was the poster car for much of Chevys advertising around the new Vette and you have to admit that it still looks pretty good. Sure, its obviously an 84, but its cool the way your favorite old jeans are cool and nobody thinks of a guy driving an 84 Vette as pretentious. Its in pretty darned nice shape, too, as if someone has always loved it and treated it as a special car. Gaps are good, which shouldnt be a surprise because the C4s were quite well built, and theres a uniform shine that extends to the bumper covers, which are usually the first things to start to show their age. This is one heck of a good-looking car! The C4s interior was cutting-edge tech in 1984, and this one shows it rather well. The brown leather upholstery actually conveys a high-end, luxurious look that is far from dated and actually looks pretty contemporary given the recent trend towards natural colors. The seats are in excellent condition with only very minor signs of use and the carpets have obviously been protected all their lives. Even the door panels look fresh, with their two-tone detailing and not so much as a dent where the driver might have rested his elbow. The digital gauges are perhaps the most gee whiz part of the design, and they remain bright and clear, conveying information with easy-to-understand displays. Theres also a great-sounding Kenwood stereo system, functional A/C, power windows and locks, cruise control, and a tilt wheel, so theres really no reason why you wont enjoy driving this Corvette. Even the hatch area doesnt show any UV damage and offers a good amount of storage for road trips. The original Crossfire injected 350 cubic inch V8 has been dumped in favor of a recent 383 cubic inch stroker motor that probably doubles the original engines output. The injection is gone, replaced by a 4-barrel carburetor and a few well-chosen billet aluminum and chrome pieces really dress up the engine bay. An all-new serpentine belt drive system with new accessories from March gives it a big boost in the reliability department and the ignition is by MSD so it fires up easily even without the EFI. Long-tube headers feed a brand new dual exhaust system that sounds spectacular and the 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission was always the right choice in an early C4. The underside is shockingly clean, with nice floors and clean suspension components that strongly suggest this car has never spent a day in the snow and salt. And I, for one, love the early C4 aluminum wheels, which are aerodynamic and functional, with these wearing fat 255/50/16 BFGoodrich radials. You can still get a lot of performance for your money, and nowhere is that better illustrated than with this clean 84 Corvette. Options on this 1984 Chevrolet Corvette include; Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, CD Player, Removable top, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Seats, Power Windows, Power Mirrors, Anti-Lock Brakes, Tilt Wheel, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. To view this 1984 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Dallas showroom. Description:

ONLY 27K MILES, #S MATCHING L-82 MOTOR, ORIGINAL BUILDSHEET, VERY CLEAN C3! There cant be many car guys who havent lusted for a Corvette at some point in their lives. This great-looking 1980 example is a fantastic way to break into the Corvette hobby for not a lot of money, and with only 27498 original miles, its an incredible survivor thatll get a ton of respect at shows. You simply cant go wrong with a classic combination like white over red on your fantastic plastic. This one remains almost entirely original and has been very well maintained from new, so the finish sparkles and the shine is outstanding for a car thats 35 years old. Its virtually impossible to duplicate the factory look (even though a lot of shops try), and this one has a wonderful patina that screams survivor the moment you see it. By 1980, build quality had improved by leaps and bounds, so youll find tight gaps, neat-fitting bumper caps, and T-tops that seal up well. With an update in 1978, the fastback profile with aggressive front and rear spoilers is as good as the C3 got, and is instantly recognizable today. There are no notable deviations from stock and were quite impressed by how well the various pieces and parts match, always a problem with early C3 Corvettes. Crisp emblems, nice lenses, and only modest signs of wear make this car a slam-dunk in preservation class judging. The contrasting burgundy leather interior is pure 1980s cool, but it looks more elegant and upscale than, say, the silver space capsule look of the 1978 pace cars. With a comfortable look thats inviting, its hard to resist sliding into those deep buckets and looking out over the long, dramatic hood. The drivers seat shows only very minor wear thats commensurate with the cars age and mileage, while the rest of the interior is very well preserved with almost no signs of use. Corvettes were loaded with standard equipment in 1980, including A/C, power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, and a complete array of gauges that are highly visible and easy to read. A newer Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo head unit has been fitted to the center stack, and the workmanship is excellent, not to mention the sound, so it doesnt really detract from the overall presentation. The weather-stripping is mostly original, but this is one T-top Corvette that seals up rather well and it is remarkably free of squeaks and rattles inside. Dual snorkels on the air cleaner mean an L82 engine with 230 horsepower, and its coupled to an automatic transmission. With 230 horsepower, it was a stout performer in 1980, and even today the rumble of the exhaust and solid whack of torque will get your heart racing on the street. It starts quickly and idles easily thanks to a recent service, and there are few engines more reliable than a 350 Chevy topped by a 4-barrel carb. Highly original, the engine bay is clean and well-maintained, and unlike so many of its siblings, it remains completely stock so no worries about previous abuse. Underneath, its in good order, and even still runs an original-style exhaust system with catalytic converter. The original slotted alloy wheels look great and wear fat 255/60/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials. This car represents a great opportunity to get into the Corvette hobby at an awesome price with a car that has survivor status everyone will admire. Call today! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is proud to show you this 1968 Volkswagen Beetle. This one gorgeous worldwide icon, the 1960s Volkswagen Beetle. This Volkswagen Beetle, informally known in Germany as the Volkswagen Käfer and in the USA as Volkswagen Bug, is a two-door, four passenger, rear-engine economy car manufactured and marketed by German automaker Volkswagen (VW) from 1938 until present day. The need for this kind of car, and its functional objectives, were formulated by German political leaders, aiming for a cheap and simple car to be mass-produced for the new road network of in Germany. Ferdinand Porsche was contracted in 1934 to design and build it, after telling them in 1933 this is the car for my roads, so the mission was set. During this post-war period, the Beetle had superior performance in its category with a top speed of 71 mph and a 0-60 mph in 27.5 seconds with fuel consumption of 36 mpg for the standard 34 hp engine. This Beetle is ready to cruise down to the beach. In 2010 a restoration was preformed on it to include the body, engine, and interior. It is powered by a 1.5L F-4 engine that is paired well to the Manual transmission. The engine also just had a full rebuild done to it with less then 100 miles on it. The burgundy exterior is and eye catcher with he sparkle it shows in the sun light. It is matched with the black vinyl interior. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is thrilled to present this super rare 1 of 6 hard to find 2008 CAMI Hydra Spyder in our St. Louis showroom. Everyone has seen the first amphibious car known as the Amphicar Model 770 which is capable of going on land and water but only at modest speeds. This amphibious car however breaks all those rules! This bad boy is powered by an LS3 that is producing 450hp and its mated to a 5-speed manual transmission which makes this beast a lot of fun! The builders have said the Hydra Spyder has been tested at land speeds over 125mph and 46 knots on the water all while carrying four passengers. Dont let the massive size fool you because it only weighs 3,300 lbs and the lower hull is constructed using 5052 alloy aluminum. The upper body is constructed of light weight fiberglass which allows for increased speed and performance. On land the car lifts the body up creating enough clearance for you to drive and once it hits the water the wheels tuck up in the wheel wells creating a smooth bottom. This ride is for the person that wants to be noticed! You will probably never see another one in person again thats for sure. This 2008 CAMI Hydra Spyder is offered at our St. Louis Showroom and can be seen in great detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a Sky Blue over White 1974 Chevrolet Cheyenne C10. The paint has been resprayed and the carpets have been replaced, everything else on the truck is believed to be original to the truck from the day it rolled off the assembly line. The Sky Blue and White exterior paint was professionally applied, we do not know exactly when, but it does look fantastic, and shines beautifully. The blue cloth bench seat has little to no wear, it has been very well kept over the years. The wood grain trim on the door panels and dash also looks almost new and accents the theme very well. A white vinyl bed cover has been installed and provides a great finishing touch to the sky blue and white color combination. This Cheyenne 10 features a small tool box at the bottom of the truck bed where you keep your valuables under lock and key. The odometer reads 57,370, which is believed to be the original mileage on the truck. Options for this 1974 Chevrolet C10 include: AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Air Conditioning (inoperable), Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Tilt Wheel, Cloth Interior, Radial Tires, Crager Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. Chevrolets third generation C/K Series ran from 1973 to 1987 and sported an all new design. Officially known as the Rounded-Line generation, the third generation looked like nothing else on the road at the time of its debut. The rounded lines included rounded cab roof, sloped rounded doors, rounded windshield corners, rounded front fenders, and rounded bed corners which made possible the rounded taillights. The rounded design was incorporated in an effort to improve aerodynamics and to improve fuel efficiency. Also known as the Square Body design, oddly enough, although not an official nickname since it did not originate from General Motors. This 74’ C10 would make for a great shop truck for a local business, or a nice cruiser for a collector who has always wanted a 3rd generation Chevrolet pickup.
