Description:

Freshly-minted and now for sale in our Houston showroom is this spectacular all-steel 1938 Chevrolet Coupe. Cloaked in a pristine Porsche Guards Red PPG finish, this is one for all ages. The restoration started with the steel body shell, and a Superior Glass Works Chassis, with fully boxed steel frame rails. Everything was taken to bare metal before any finish work was begun. A new LS3 crate motor was installed, with a FAST intake and FAST fuel rails. A set of coated shorty headers and a full stainless 2.5 exhaust setup, complete with stainless X-pipe, scavenges the spent fuel to the rear with a throaty burble. To the aft of the beefy powerplant, a new 6L80E 6-speed automatic transmission with a 3200RPM stall torque converter to aid in providing excellent launches. The 6-speed auto provides excellent highway cruising capabilities, with surprisingly efficient operation. There are two dual finned-aluminum transmission coolers for the tranny to help it keep it at optimum temperature during spirited driving. Controlling the 6L80Es shifts is a Corvette-style shifter, complete with electronic paddle-shift control capabilities on the gear knob. Youll feel comfortable knowing that you can drive this thing like its sportscar powertrain wants you to, with handling and ride to match. The front end is a complete Heidts SupeRide II independent front suspension, with tubular upper and lower control arms, sway bar, QA1 adjustable coil-over shocks, 12 Wilwood disk brakes and calipers, and a power rack and pinion steering setup. Out back are QA1s, a triangulated 4-bar link setup, torsion-style sway bar, an all-new quick-change Currie Ford 9 rear end and third member with 2.75:1 gears and a True-Track limited slip differential, and 11 Wilwood disk brakes and calipers complete with E-brake. The power-assisted braking setup is also equipped with a proportioning valve, allowing for fine-tuning the front/rear braking balance. A set of Nitto performance radials (215/50-17 front, 235/65-17 rear) wrapped around American Racing Salt Flat Special 5-hole wheels help keep this retro-rod stuck to the pavement. Inside this modernized classic, youll find that all the chrome trim shines like its brand new, and it is abundant. From the chrome window surrounds, windshield and rear window trim, to the door and window levers, everything glistens. There are a few hidden secret gems, too: the chrome window cranks dont move a light touch upward will raise the power windows, and a similar light touch will lower them. Equipped with what seems to be power everything, this car has plenty of creature comforts that one wouldnt expect in a vintage auto. Power windows, power locks, a trick Painless Phantom Key Keyless Ignition with a proximity-sensing key fob (which provides a very cool pushbutton start and is part of the security system), custom Vintage Air system with billet nozzles, and power seats with 8-way adjustability and lumbar support cover most of the features, but not all. In addition, there is a Bluetooth compatible audio system that has near audiophile sound, USB ports on the console, cupholders, LED interior (and exterior) lighting, and tilt steering wheel all add up to providing a supremely comfortable, modern-feeling ride. The tinted glass all around help the Vintage Air system keep things cold in the summer, and toasty in those colder months (for when you cant wait to drive this beauty until Spring). And, youll want to drive this car year-round, because when youre in the cabin, the smell of the custom furniture-grade leather is intoxicating. This superb leather covers nearly everything including the headliner, and it provides such a pleasant aroma that it will make Bentley and Rolls owners jealous. If you do get caught in the rain, the 2-speed electric windshield wipers will keep your forward vision clear, and the powerful LED head- and tail-lights will keep the road lit (and keep you visible). Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta proudly presents a 1967 Ford Eleanor Mustang. Everybody knows the real star of the last Gone in 60 Seconds movie was the car. This Mustang pays tribute to the star of the movie, and this car is an excellent performer. Under the peper gray Dupont paint, this Eleanor rides great and has disc brakes at all four corners. Under the hood, things get real serious with a professionally built 351W based engine. Total cubic displacement comes in at a whopping 427 inches! The engine was built by Unique Performance systems with Edlelbrock Victor Jr. heads. The 427 is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission that sends the power to a rock-solid Ford 9-inch rear end. With Disc brakes at all four corners, this stallion can be slowed down from those excessive speeds that this car is capable of. Inside the interior is all business. Keeping the car enjoyable while driving is an AM/FM radio with a CD player to listen to your favorite tunes. This car is so cool that Carroll Shelby signed it in 2 different places. I bet Nic Cage would have loved the endorsement of Carroll in his movie car! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a stunning 1939 Plymouth Road King P-8 street rod. This award winning street rod has been beautifully assembled with help from some of the best in the business. This all steel 39 has been professionally stripped and prepped for one of the nicest black paintjobs you will find. The body modifications are subtle, such as removing side vents, bumpers and mounts removed, and the addition of a custom rear roll pan which houses the single exhaust outlet. The body style is so beautiful, there is no need to chop or channel, by simply smoothing and simplifying, a custom looking body is the result. This sedan sits on its original chassis that has been modified to accommodate a Mustang II front suspension and air ride and has been powder coated for durability. The Mustang II setup is from Lakeshore Fabrication which features air ride, Heidts 2 drop spindles, and Unisteer steering. The brakes are supplied by Wilwood and are drilled and slotted disc in all four corners. The rear suspension features a 4 bar setup with air ride. The rear end is a 9 Ford with a 3.26 final drive ratio and limited slip. The Plymouth sits on one off Foose wheels, 18 in front and 20 in the rear wrapped in Nitto tires. Under the hood is a hot LS2 GM crate engine. These LS engines have become the go-to for street rodders looking for a powerful and reliable drive train. The LS2 is mostly stock but does have a custom made air intake which utilizes a classic style air cleaner from a 56 Buick Nailhead. To stay true to the car, custom valve covers have been made as well to sport the Plymouth name. The LS2 breathes through Sanderson headers and dual exhaust that exits through a center outlet. The transmission is a 4L80-E automatic with overdrive. The interior is very tastefully done with saddle leather throughout. Wood grain on the dash and window surrounds give a classy look as well as the original steering wheel. Modern comforts like power seat and air conditioning are nicely integrated so they dont look out of place. To quench your thirst during those summer month car shows, the center console doubles as a drink cooler which drains to the outside. The air compressor and battery are nicely hidden behind a panel in the beautifully finished trunk. The entire interior features square weave carpet which adds to the classy look. Overall class and refinement has been kept in mind when building this street rod. Theres no flames, or TV screens, or gaudy colors. The Plymouth still has the spirit of the original car, with the comfort, and performance of a modern car. You can see this 1939 Plymouth Road King P-8 in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or stl@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

Description:

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is an award winning 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible. I will go ahead and say this; no manufacturer will ever make a convertible as pleasing as this again. 1957 was the last year of the second generation body style for the Bel Air. It seems as if they stopped because they knew it couldnt get any better. In 57, Chevrolet introduced the 283 CID V8 engine that produced 283 HP. The option of a fuel injected engine was available and is quite rare these days. This Bel Air offers 220HP 4-Barrel carbureted 283 V8 engine that is backed by an automatic transmission. Both are numbers matching and original to the car. The odometer reads 2,843, which represents the mileage since the frame off restoration was complete. Boasting its original colors, the Chevy shows beautifully in gloss black and is surrounded by chrome. Looking inside the red and silver interior takes you right back to the 50s. Have a seat, turn the key, and operate the automatic convertible top switch and youll be wondering why havent you done this before? The red and silver vinyl interior is paired well with a white convertible top. Options for this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible include: Wonderbar AM Radio, Two Tone Vinyl Interior, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Antenna, Tissue Dispenser, Flameout Vacuum Ashtray, Wide White Wall Bias Ply Tires, and Knock-Off Style Hub Caps. The ’57 Chevy is one of the most recognized icons in the Automotive industry. Stylish and Sporty the there’s no doubt that it’s one of America’s best and most loved cars. This 57 Bel Air convertible was awarded the VCCA 1st Place Junior Gold Award in 2011, where it scored 984 out of a possible 1000 points. In 2012 it was awarded the AACA Senior National 1st prize and the Peoples Choice award at the Concours d Elegance in Hilton Head Island, SC. Heres the chance of owning a piece of American history that still serves a purpose. Put on the white rimmed sunglasses and enjoy. To view this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible in greater detail, including an HD video and 100+ HD pictures, please visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis showroom. Description:

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this one-of-a-kind 1955 Chevrolet Apache. This truck has had very extensive work done to it and is in extremely good condition. All the work has been performed by Ekstensive Metal Works. Ekstensive Metal Works is better known by their TV show name Texas Metal, which airs on the Velocity channel. Under and through the hood of this super clean truck is a Weiand supercharged 502 CID V8 that runs just as well as it looks. Sending the power to the rear end is a Turbo-400 three-speed transmission. The rear end is a 9 ford that is finished in a gloss black paint. The hood cut-out provides room for the blower and intake to stick through and gives a shaker hood feel to the front of the truck. The massive blower provides an intoxicating whine even when sitting at idle and rivals the volume of the already loud exhaust system which features electric cutouts that dump at the headers. Feeding the gigantic 6-71 blower are two Holley four-barrel carburetors that ensure this beauty doesn’t run out of fuel to burn when under full boost. The fuel is sent to the engine via a polished new fuel tank that enhances the underbody of the truck. Setting the stance of the truck are adjustable coil-over shocks. The truck sits atop polished alloy Intro brand wheels wrapped in Pirelli performance tires. The front tires are 265/30 ZR22 and the rears are 405/25 ZR24. To put the rear tire size into perspective, the widest tires on a production car are on a Lamborghini Aventador SV... and theyre only 355mm wide. When it comes time to stop those massive tires, the driver will appreciate the drilled and slotted Willwood front and rear disc brakes with black painted calipers. Moving outward, the exterior of this truck is in near perfect condition. All the chrome is very nice and in like new condition. The Sierra Sand colored paint is in excellent shape with almost no blemishes or imperfections. The bed wood has been replaced and is in very good condition as well with a deep stain to accent the bed from the paint. Overall, the exterior of this truck is almost perfect. Moving inward, getting into the truck is made classy by the suicide doors. Upon entering the vehicle, the driver will be greeted by light tan leather throughout and a tilt steering wheel. The doors feature a simple, yet elegant stitching pattern that reminds the driver that theyre in a very well-built resto-mod. The leather bucket seats are very comfortable and spacious. Sitting between the two seats is a leather wrapped center console that houses the shifter. The dash of the truck is paint matched to the body and is in just as good condition. This truck also features power brakes and steering for comfortable cruising. Tucked in the dash is a modern CD player/radio that adds to the modern comfort of this beauty. Overall, this is an extremely well-done truck and is probably one of the finest examples of a resto-mod Chevrolet Apache around. To see all the HD pictures and video, please go to http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/HOU/1094/1955-chevrolet-apache. For even more information on this 1955 Chevrolet Apache located in our Houston showroom, come by and see us or contact the showroom at (832) 243-6220, or email the showroom at houston@gatewayclassiccars.com.

Description:

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1955 Chevrolet 210 better known as Like No Other. This show car is painted in Chevrolet Marina Blue and it shines like no other. 4 coats of color, color sanded for each coat, 5 coats of clear also color sanded for each coat and waxed and polished to a beautiful finish. You may not notice but the wings/vent windows for the doors have been removed for a cleaner look and there is also no fuel filler door. The new fuel filler is in the trunk. Finishing off this beautiful custom build is an all metal custom tilt front end. The original seams for the hood and fender are all still in place with serious fasteners beneath the good all hinged on the original bumper brackets. The interior is of course custom and was performed by Todd Ghan out of Springfield Missouri. The seats are from a 2002 Chrysler Concorde and the material is white alliante. A custom center console that flows to the back seat, which of course are also custom. The rear seats are original 55s but have 11 inches removed to allow for the custom center console. The rest of the interior includes 4 custom arm rest, billet door and window cranks. The carpet is a short nap in dark blue and the trunk has a similar treatment. Inside the trunk are two 9 batteries and behind the rear seat are speakers, an amplifier and a 10 inch sub woofer all tied to a Pioneer CD player. The engine is a 383 crate engine pumping out a healthy 425 horsepower and is mated to a 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive by Monster Transmissions. Sending the power to the rear wheels is a Ford 9 inch rear end with a set of 4.11:1 posi traction gears. The 383 is equipped with a 750 Holley double pumper, MSD Ignition, Holley fuel pump, Sanderson Headers and 3 inch stainless steel exhaust running out to a set Flowmaster mufflers. Both the new crate engine and the rebuilt transmission have roughly 2,500 miles on them. Other notable drivetrain details include Spicer U Joints at each end of the polished aluminum driveshaft fastened to a billet yoke. All of this power is useless unless you can put it to the ground. Assisting with that challenge is a set of sticky Mickey Thompson ET Street 275/60R15s. Up front are BF Goodrich 205/65R15s both pairs wrapped around a set of Crager wheels. The suspension includes 2 inch dropped spindles from Danchuck, Power rack and Pinion steering by Unisteer Performance, front and rear sway bars by Danchuck and traction bars out back. Included with the sale is a custom staging area for a stand-out presentation at the big shows. For more information on this 1955 Chevy 210 Like No Other, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer this beautiful 1993 Cadillac Allante for sale. With only the hood having been repainted due to stone chips, this little drop top Caddy still wears its original paint, called Verde Flax by Cadillac. It is actually a stunning shade of a dark teal green. With a black interior and convertible top, this Allante is a statement of class and refinement to all who see it. 1993 was the last year for the Allante and the only year the NorthStar V8 was available. This NorthStar V8 really give you the power and smoothness that is a luxury car. It has an automatic transmission that runs through the gears so smooth you would think it was a CVT transmission. It can be argued that 1993 was the pinnacle year for the Allante - with new road sensitive front suspension, a revised rear suspension, speed sensitive steering, Bosch traction control, a new front spoiler, headlamp washers, new breakaway rear-view mirrors, and ergonomically-designed front bucket seats all made this model the one designed with the cars occupants comfort and convenience at the forefront of the design. Only 4,670 Allantes were sold new for the model year. This car is a prime example of the breed. Bought from a gentleman from Scottsdale, this beauty has always been in the desert climate. Some of the weather-stripping needs to be replaced, but this Cadillac looks, runs, drives, stops, and steers perfectly. Its hard to believe that its 25 years old now. Heres your chance to buy a ground-breaking design in a Cadillac for a fraction of what it was new (nearly $60K). Dont miss it. Our Cadillac Allante for sale includes: Seat belts, AC, Anti Lock Brakes, AM/FM radio, cruise control, driver, airbag, leather interior, passenger airbag, power door locks, power seats, power steering, power windows, rear window defogger, radial tires, tilt wheel, and is a number matching vehicle. This Alante has very low miles for a 1993 model, with only 89, 500 miles that averages less than 5,000 miles a year! Nice price for a nice car, call us now before its gone. Description:

For sale in Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is this 1981 Mercedes Benz-380SL. In 1980, Mercedes-Benz revamped its SL lineup of sporting luxury convertibles with the introduction of the 380SL. The 380 was an enhancement of the R107 chassis, which was first used in 1972 by the 350SL and then by the 450SL. This was an extremely popular model in the U.S. for its combination of V-8 power, refined luxury and sporty underneath carriage. The 380-SL was a lighter then its predecessor 450-SL, a 120 pounds lighter to be exact. Thus, it’s new V-8 3.8 liter engine was plenty of power for these vehicles. The new engine was designed with emissions controls in mind while the 450SL’s mill was not, which meant that the two engines were relatively equal in terms of power (155 hp in the 380SL vs. 160 hp in the 450SL) despite the difference in their displacements. Performance was similar for the two cars, as was fuel economy. This 1981 Mercedes Benz 380 SL has been family owned and passed down for over 25 years. All the paint has held up very well over the years. The interior is all original and pops with a bit of woodgrain installed in the dash. Another real stand out feature on this vehicle is those Dayton spoked wired wheels! Most certainly is going to catch anyone’s eye who sees them. To view this vehicle in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and videos, visit our website at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Now for sale in our Milwaukee showroom is this unique 1984 Chevrolet Corvette. Between the sharp C4 lines and the relatively low mileage, this car will make an excellent driver. 1984 was the first year of the C4 body style. The C4 corvette brought back more powerful engines and the convertible option to the cars. This generation of corvette was also the first to have the Glass hatchback to allow for convenient storage in the rear. Braking was improved with aluminum calipers and new rotors. In the rear, the suspension was updated with a Fiberglass mono-leaf instead of a traditional leaf spring. Powering this sleek ride is a 5.7-liter Crossfire V8 that was good for 205 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque. This power helped accelerate the car to 60 MPH in a little over 6 seconds when new. Sending the V8 power to the rear wheels is a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive that shifts smoothly through the gears. Overall this car runs well and would be a good driver or weekend cruiser. Moving outward, this sleek ride is finished with unique striping and multicolor Chameleon clearcoat. Its a 1996 World of Wheels winner, and was awarded best-in-show in multiple shows over the years. Upon entering the interior, the driver will feel very comfortable thanks to the power leather seats which feature lumbar support. This car is loaded with amenities such as power mirrors, power windows, power brakes, power steering and power locks. In the summer months, the driver will appreciate the removable glass top that allows for plenty of sunshine and fresh air. When it comes time to listen to some driving music, the sound system in this car is sure to impress. Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this cool 1988 Chevrolet 1500. Planning for the GMT400 began in the early 1980s. Production development for this body style began in early 1984 and were introduced in April 1987 as 1988 models as the GMT400 platform, and their nickname: OBS (Old Body Style). There were eight different versions of the C/K line for 1988. Fleetside Single Cab, and Fleetside Extended Cab, were the first chevy trucks to be available with this type of cab version, and the 1973 to 1987 C10s and C20s where only available with a single cab. Fleetside Crew Cab, and Stepside Single Cab models, each in either 2WD (C) or 4WD (K) drive-lines were also available. All C/K models would ride on independent front suspension. A 230 hp (172 kW) 7.4 L V8 was available in the 3/4-ton and one-ton trucks. Most of the powertrain were a carryover from the 1987 R/V with fuel injection. To enhance durability the trucks featured extensive use of galvanized steel for corrosion resistance and a fully welded frame with a boxed front section for strength and rigidity.[71] During the development of the GMT400 platform GM designers based their prototypes on the compact GMT325 S-series (S10 and S15/Sonoma) - upon the official release the GMT400 were the first GM vehicles to use an electronic speedometer, and a serpentine accessory drive. This awesome edition of the 1988 Chevrolet 1500 is running a 5.7 V8 and an Automatic Transmission.
