1985 Buick Riviera Convertible

Extremely RARE TURBO

Less than 45 of these Rivieras were produced!!!!

ORIGINAL MILES!

Immaculate condition inside and out!!!

Great white and red color combination

Air Conditioning

Loaded with power options!

1985 was the last year for the Ole Gal. She was getting a little long in the tooth as the body style had been around now for 7 years. It was by far the most beautiful of all later year Rivieras to come out of Detroit as the 1986 was anything but. 1985 was mainly carry over, not much changed. This last year also saw a decrease in production, with only 400 Convertibles being built. Prices increased to $27,835.00 base with freight, a $1503.00 increase. The standard engine now, for the first time, was the 5.0 V8, as the 4.1 V6 was dropped from the Riviera line. Still available was the 3.8 Liter Sequential-port Fuel Injected Turbocharged V-6 engine option, while lower priced at $735.00, it still sold poorly and only 49 Riviera Convertibles received this engine.

If you were to order a 1985 Buick Riviera Convertible loaded with all the options including the 3.8 Liter Sequential-port Fuel Injected Turbocharged V-6 engine, it would set you back a whopping $31,247.00! Not little money back in 1985, heck it isn't little money today. One thing all these Riviera Convertibles had in common was this; they were only available in 2 colors, White or Red Firemist, all came with a white vinyl top, 84 and 85 being the only years they were lined and all had the Maple (name used only in early 1982) or Claret Leather Interior. These two names were mostly the same color, very dark red, but the latter two years, 1984 and 1985 were a bit darker as GM changed its vendor that supplied the leather.

Description:

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a lowered, 3rd generation 1985 Chevrolet C10. This C10 is finished in bright red exterior paint, that was applied about 2 years ago. The red color is perfect for this style of build, it screams race ready. The 20” Boss aluminum/alloy wheels provide the perfect stance and look to the truck as well. Powering this 85’ C10 is a cammed up 355 CID V8 engine that has been dressed up very nicely. Pop the hood and you will see a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner on top, look a little closer and you will find the Holley carburetor, aluminum intake, Moroso plug wires, and Wheeler Motorsports valve covers. Headers flow to the full exhaust that create a truly awesome sound to this 355 V8. A TH-350 automatic with stall converter transfers the power to the 10 bolt rear end. The black interior is features white faced gauges, a cloth bench seat, and a few other aftermarket goodies. A black vinyl Tri-Fold bed cover protects the painted bed floor and provides a low profile appearance. Chevrolets third generation C/K Series ran from 1973 to 1987, and sported an all new design. Officially known as the Rounded-Line generation, the third generation looked like nothing else on the road at the time of its debut. The rounded lines included rounded cab roof, sloped rounded doors, rounded windshield corners, rounded front fenders, and rounded bed corners which made possible the rounded taillights. The rounded design was incorporated in an effort to improve aerodynamics and to improve fuel efficiency. Also known as the Square Body design, although not an official nickname since it did not originate from General Motors. The odometer on this C10 reads 1,044, which represents the mileage put on the truck since the build was complete. Options for this 1985 Chevrolet C10 include: AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. This is a great example of a hot rod C10 pickup that looks good, runs good, and will certainly draw a crowd. To view this 1985 Chevrolet C10 in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis showroom. Description:

Now featured in our Denver showroom is this tastefully modified 1979 Chevrolet C10 with the same drive train that came stock almost 40 years ago! Powering this old stepside pickup truck is a 454 cubic inch V8 that has been bored .030 over and has just over 2,000 miles on the fresh rebuild. During this rebuild it received forged pistons, an RV cam, and capped off with a Holley 750 to feed this big engine. The TH400 transmission is able to transfer this power with ease to the strong 12-bolt rear end equipped with 3.73:1 gears for great off the line torque while not jeopardizing your cruising ability. This truck is not just a power house though, it has been fitted with power disc brakes on all four corners to bring it to a stop quickly and the front suspension has been upgraded to a DJM front suspension kit for a premium ride and better handling. The aftermarket front suspension paired with the power steering makes for a fun ride and out cornering most other trucks on the road! The interior has also been tastefully modified with a reupholstered seat, new dash pad, and billet inserts on the dash and gauge cluster that match the door panels nicely. The red PPG paint fits this truck well and the 1963 Plymouth taillights and louvers added to the rear set this truck apart from the rest! After many years of being loved and enjoyed by the same owner, this 1979 C-10 is ready to be enjoyed by someone new. If you are looking for a fun sporty pickup truck this one is an excellent choice and would be a great platform if you would like to customize it and make it your own. This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1979 Chevrolet C-10 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

This C-10 is truly one of a kind! It is a completely custom build with attention to detail everywhere you look. The C-10 designates that it is a two wheel drive half ton pickup which became one of Chevrolet’s best-selling vehicles. This truck in particular features a 350 cubic inch V8 engine with a few performance modifications and is hooked up to a turbo 350 automatic transmission. The box of the truck is covered in a marine grade cloth that keeps the bed protected and provides a finished look. Most trim pieces on the exterior have been removed including hiding the turn signals behind the billet grill simplifying the look and separating the style from the rest of the herd of C-10’s. The custom features don’t stop once you move to the interior featuring a two-tone tweed interior that is completely different than the original besides the gauge cluster and glove box. These trucks were built to be rough and tough while handling anything you throw at them. This C-10 has become a bit more civilized though with power brakes, power steering, and an excellent sound system. If you are looking for a classic Chevrolet pickup that can be enjoyed and driven without worry, this may be an excellent fit for you! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1967 Chevrolet C10 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Now for sale in Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is this beautiful, ultra-low mileage 2002 Chevrolet Corvette. This is the coupe version of the LS1 5.7l powered Corvette featuring an excellent 4L60-E automatic transmission and 3:15 gears. The engine and transmission are original to the car, as you would expect from a car that has only done 25,080 since it left the factory over 15 years ago. The car is finished in the factory Light Pewter with a black leather interior. Options include air conditioning, AM/FM Bose stereo with 12 disc CD player, active handling, heated mirrors, fog lamps, heads up display, performance handling package, glass Targa 1 pc top, cruise control, power seats with lumbar, power brakes, steering, locks, windows and mirrors, anti-lock brakes, traction control, tilt and telescopic wheel, keyless entry, seat belts, driver and passenger airbag, run-flat radial tires, LSD and aluminum alloy wheels. The original window sticker has been preserved that shows the full options for the car, including the original $47,425 window sticker. This is a member of the C5 Corvette family that ran from 1997-2004. This was the first car to feature the all-new and legendary LS1 power plant from Chevrolet, which made 345hp in the beginning but was subsequently increased in 2001 to 350hp. It was the perfect blend of reliability, fuel-mileage and drivability, while simultaneously allowing for big power and a great aftermarket scene with a massive amount of performance upgrade options. The C5 is competitive in regards to 0–60 mph acceleration times with almost all premium sports cars of its era, including the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage, and the Ferrari 355. A composite of published performance numbers for the base-model coupé and convertible gives a 0–60 mph time of around 4.5 seconds, and a standing quarter-mile time of around 13.3 seconds at 108 mph (both times for a vehicle equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission). The C5 was a turning point for the Corvette. Undoubtably a future collectors item. This would make a fantastic example to hold on to. Don’t miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this one. Description:

This 1979 Chevrolet C10 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The C series line of trucks was extremely successful for the GM company. Though they had multiple revisions throughout its 40-year run the full-size series was one of the longest running lines in auto history. The 80s seen a huge increase in the amount of people customizing these trucks. The mentality that a truck was just simply used for work was a thing of the past. This example has that old school custom look with the black paint showing extremely well. The Graphics on the side help to break up the paint while enhancing the step-side bed. The louvers on the hood are something that you dont see much of anymore with many considering a lost art form. The mag wheels are in extremely clean condition with the fronts being 225/70/15s and the rears having a much wider 295/50/15 giving the truck that aggressive look. Under the hood is a very healthy 350 small block that has plenty of power to get this American Classic down the road. The Edelbrock intake allows for more power through the mid and higher RPM range. The 12-bolt Posi Rear end has a set of 3.73 gears giving the perfect mix of down low power and high-end speed allowing for some highway cruising.Lets be honest though a nice smokey 2 wheel burnout dont hurt either. The interior of the cab is clean and rather comfortable with the springs giving just the right amount of support. The headliner is custom with it having some custom molds and then covered with the matching soft cloth material. If you have been wanting a unique vehicle that is a blast to drive this great driving truck is exactly what you need. Options on this 1979 Chevy C10 include; AM/FM/Cassette, Cloth Interior, Seat Belts, Mag Wheels and Radial Tires. Description:

This 1957 Volvo PV445 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The PV 445 or Duet was produced by Volvo with the intent to be used as a delivery vehicle during the week and a comfortable sleek sedan on the weekends. Although the styling was based on the 444/544 sedan which were unibody design the Duet was a full frame vehicle. This example was built with a Hotrod approach with the looks of a 57 Volvo but the heart of a powerful V8. The two-tone paint is slick and gives the car a custom look without going over the top. The chromed luggage rack on top goes well with the overall theme. The custom wheels are a nice touch while hinting towards what’s under the hood. Naturally a V8 is what this thing needed but you can just put a small block American motor in this thing. Having that said a Range Rover engine was sourced and built using some aftermarket parts. The end product is a rather powerful European V8. The transmission choice was obvious with the 4l60 being a readily available OD transmission that mates up to the engine with very little fab work. The rear end was donated from a 01 Blazer giving this PV a decent gear for highway cruising. The stopping aspect of things are taken care of by a set of Volvo retro front disc while back has the s10’s setup. The handling is taken care of through a set of Pro Shocks upfront and adjustable coil overs out back. This allows you to tune the handling and ride to your liking. The interior of this custom VOLVO compliments the outside perfectly. The bucket seats are comfortable with a modern look while the cargo area has that classic feel. The wood slats are a great accent and really add that vintage charm. If you are looking for something that’s fun to drive while being unique this Volvo fits the bill. Options on this 1957 Volvo P445 include, Cloth Interior and Custom Wheels with Radial Tires.
