Description:

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this 1928 Ford Pick-up Rat Rod. A rat rod is a style of hot rod or custom car that, in most cases, imitates (or exaggerates) the early hot rods of the 1940s, 1950s, and early-1960s. The style is not to be confused with the somewhat closely related traditional hot rod, which is an accurate re-creation or period-correct restoration of a hot rod from the same era. Most rat rods appear unfinished, regardless of their status, as only the vehicles bare essentials are driven. These are built to drive, not exclusively for show. The truck frame is a Riley auto boxed double Z’d chassis with an 8-inch kick up in the rear. It also features reinforced cross members for added structural strength to handle a higher HP drive train which has been powder coated for longevity. All suspension components are Pete & Jakes Hotrod parts. It has a more traditional style look with the front & rear leaf springs for a buggy set up with a Vega steering box. Powering this sweet rat truck is a 327 CID V8 that is from a 1963 Chevy Corvette. It has a mild cam, new distributor, new spark plugs & wires, Holley double pumper 750cfm carb, new water pump & pulleys, & a new alternator. Coupled to the restored 63’ Vette motor is a Turbo350 3-speed automatic transmission with a 16-inch Lokar shift kit installed. Features a 9-inch Ford rear axle with 3.50 gears. The engine puts out 300HP to the wheels and for a truck that weighs a little as this one does, it really makes this truck get up and move. Bringing this truck to a stop are GM vented disc brakes in the front and Ford drum brakes in the rear. The truck sits on 16-inch Vintiques 14 series reproduction wheels wrapped in Firestone tires. The interior looks very cool as well featuring the original gauge cluster, 2 nice vinyl bucket seats that are comfortable, black rubber carpeting, 1950’s USAF jet fighter lap belts/seat belts, stained & polyurethane wood inserts, & some diamond plating near the firewall. The truck has a new 16-gallon U3 series fuel tank that sits on its wood paneled bed that is in great condition. The truck has that cool patina finish that really gives this truck its rat rod DNA. With the gloss black frame & grill contrasting the polished engine components & the addition of the wood panels, really makes this truck stand out against the rest. To see more of this truck on our website, please visit http://gatewayclassiccars.com/houston/1928/ford/pickup-S846.html. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present a 1959 Chevrolet Apache “Gasser” street truck for sale in our Atlanta showroom. She is powered by a 383 cu in stroker, with aluminum heads, Holley Strip Dominator aluminum intake, Holley 650 Carburetor, MSD 6AL ignition, Doug’s wheel well headers, driving through a turbo 350 automatic transmission, with Line-Lock, to a 12 bolt posi-traction rear end with 3:73 gears. Consignor states the engine and transmission were recently rebuilt, each having 6,000-miles since rebuild, and 3,000-miles on the rear end. The steel body is in the patina style, painted in flat black paint with various stickers, and the interior is basic with racing seats, with 5-point harnesses. She screams like in the old days with the wheel well open headers – you heard me – she has no mufflers! The build information on the engine is documented, and contained in the file. Here is some history for those who would like background on this exciting style of dragster. The term “Gasser” refers to a style of drag race car that was prolific in the late 1950s through the 1960s that ran on gasoline as fuel, as opposed to race fuel. These cars typically competed in “heads up” drag races that were classed by engine size and car weight. In the faster classes the cars used a straight axle front suspension that produced the intimidating stance that gassers are known for. Easily recognized by common features like the higher front end stance that was developed as a means of weight transfer to the rear wheels for traction, this style became popular later as builders attempted to achieve a traditional or nostalgic race look. These cars became fan favorites as the well-known racers began to run “grudge matches” for higher purses. In no time these matches were the top billing at many shows due to the crowd entertainment factor. Gassers were the top drag racing classes in the period that is now referred to as “the gasser war years,” which ranged from 1955 through 1968. In addition to the straight axle, most gassers also sported Halibrand wheels, no front bumper, and had a front mounted Moon tank. The gasser form was dictated by function and most builders looked to eliminate as much weight as possible. Having their exhaust pipes exit through the front fender to shorten the length of exhaust tubing is another common characteristic of gassers. Builders used 1930s through 1950s production coupes or sedans to create these highly modified racing vehicles. Late model cars were not allowed in the Gas classes until 1967, and the gas classes were totally eliminated by NHRA in 1972. They run today all over the United States and down under in Australia and New Zealand in vintage and nostalgia drags. To view this 1958 Chevrolet Apache Gasser, please visit our site at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call 678-894-4833, or email us at atlanta@gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this awesome 2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. The Chevrolet Camaro was released to the public in 1967 to battle the car that started the whole Pony Car craze. Ford’s Mustang. 35 Years later and almost 4.9 million cars sold Chevrolet made the decision to cut the Camaro out of the line-up. They would however have a great sendoff car in the 02 Camaro SS. This example is one of 739 Bright Red, Rally, Convertible, 6 speed, True SS cars that were produced in that year. It has lived a very pampered life which you can tell by just as nice the paint is. Typically, red paint is not the kindest to the ageing process but this one even with its 84403 miles still looks amazing. The black cloth top looks great while in the up position, but everyone knows the real fun happens when that top goes down. The ebony leather interior against the red exterior absolutely sits this car off. Tying it all together is a set of 5-star chrome wheels that have a set of Nitto 555’s on them. The soft compound tires will give you the best possible traction especially once they get warmed up. Under that air induction hood lies the one that started the whole LS craze. This original numbers matching LS has been pampered with the majority of tis time spent on nice days simply cruising with the top down. Backed up by the highly sought-after T- 56 6 Speed transmission this is a driver’s car. With new calipers and slotted rotors added this red rocket will stop on a dime. The SLP loudmouth exhaust is guaranteed to garner the attention of your neighbor when you fire this thing up in the garage. With these new age classics gaining traction in the collector market don’t miss out and be regretting this 10 years down the road. Options on this 2002 Chevrolet Camaro SS include, AM/FM/CD, Power Windows, Power Locks, Tilt, Leather Interior, Power Brakes, Power Steering, and Aluminum Wheels with Radial Tires. Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is offering this 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. She is powered by the LS1 5.7l engine, and the 4L60-E automatic transmission with the standard 3:15 gears. The engine and transmission are original to the car, as you would expect from a car that has under 72,00- miles since it left the factory over 15 years ago. The car is finished in the factory Light Pewter with a black leather interior. Options include air conditioning, AM/FM Bose stereo with 12 disc CD player, active handling, heads up display, performance handling package, cruise control, power seats with lumbar, power brakes, steering, locks, windows and mirrors, anti-lock brakes, traction control, tilt and telescopic wheel, keyless entry, polished alloy wheels. This is a member of the C5 Corvette family that ran from 1997-2004. This was the first car to feature the all-new and legendary LS1 power plant from Chevrolet, which made 345hp in the beginning but was subsequently increased in 2001 to 350hp. It was the perfect blend of reliability, fuel-mileage and drivability, while simultaneously allowing for big power and a great aftermarket scene with a massive amount of performance upgrade options. The C5 is competitive in regards to 0–60 mph acceleration times with almost all premium sports cars of its era, including the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage, and the Ferrari 355. A composite of published performance numbers for the base-model coupé and convertible gives a 0–60 mph time of around 4.5 seconds, and a standing quarter-mile time of around 13.3 seconds at 108 mph (both times for a vehicle equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission). Description:

This 1927 Chevrolet Capitol Cabriolet is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1927 was a pivotal year for the auto industry. Henry would bring out his Model A which was an evolution of the Model T. The Chevrolet capitol would be the first real competition for Ford making this a do or die move. Priced right inline with the Model A the Capitol would steal a pretty good piece of the market from ole Henry. This example has been restored to what you would expect to see back in the 20’s. The green paint looks good with the black accenting it perfectly. The rims are correct and with the tires being tall and skinny which was due to the roads not being paved. There is even a spare tire on the back just in case you don’t have AAA. Under the hood is the 4 cylinder that really brought Chevrolet into the main stream. The 171 CID inline 4 produced a little less than 30 HP. The 3 speed Manual Transmission shifts like it should making these cars a little challenging but extremely fun to drive. The top is in great condition but is most likely going to be used on a slim occasion. This car is made for those sunny days with the top being a just in case thing. Kind of like that hand powered wiper, I don’t think I would want to be caught out with that thing. The bench seat is vinyl allowing for easy cleaning while being extra durable. Options on this 1927 Chevrolet Roadster include; Bias Ply Tires, Steel Wheels, Manual Convertible Top and Vinyl Interior. This 1927 Ford Roadster is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Las Vegas is proud to present this 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS for sale in our Las Vegas showroom. Chevrolet brought back the classic Impala SS nameplate in the mid-90s, this time as a four-door sedan. But make no mistake - beneath that family-friendly facade is a true muscle car! The 1994-1996 generation Impala SS was the bigger, badder sibling to the Caprice, and was produced with equipment formerly available only to law enforcement. This police package included equipment such as a sport-tuned suspension with reinforced shocks and springs, a high-capacity reverse-flow cooling system (derived from the Corvettes LT1), four-wheel disc brakes, transmission cooler, dual exhaust, a higher-output electrical system, and other minor mechanical alterations Decked out in black paint - would you want any other color? - this mean machine doesnt sacrifice luxury, with leather and power options galore. The 33,000 original miles speak to the care the previous owner took with it, and means it will give you many years of enjoyment! The 350 CID LT1 that powers this Impala SS is the original engine and is mated to the original 4L60-E 4-speed automatic transmission. The 10-bolt rear end features a limited slip differential and 3.08 gear ratio. Options for this 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with Cassette, Power Seats, Leather Interior, Tilt Wheel, Keyless Entry, Power Mirrors, Power Steering, Power Locks, Seat Belts, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. Description:

For sale in our Dallas showroom is this Immaculate 1976 Chevrolet Cosworth Vega. This Cosworth is #2843 of 3,508 manufactured between 1975 and 1976. The mirror black exterior finish is striking with the rare black/white sport cloth interior, cast aluminum wheels, full instrumentation, engine turned gold dash panel, front/rear anti-roll bars along with the Cosworth overhead twin cam engine with Bendix Electronic fuel injection sporting the stainless-steel header. Other options include the 5-speed gear box, 4.10 positraction rear axle, AM/FM 8 track player and rear speaker. Designed to be a racecar for the street, power steering and power brakes are not present to save weight, but clocking in at under 2,800lbs, you would never think to need them. Adding to the weight savings is the aluminum engine tricked out with all the goodies like fuel injection, forged aluminum pistons, and a forged steel crankshaft and rods. These are extremely overbuilt engines built for power and longevity. Cosworth #2843 has undergone an extensive body off restoration with no expense spared. Show board and large binder of receipts/documentation will be included in the sale. The Cosworth has been featured in magazines and has multiple show wins to include best of show at the National Cosworth Vega Owners Association’s (CVOA) annual concours. This, #2843, is a collector’s dream; low enough mileage to surely increase in value, but not so low that you would feel wasteful enjoying it on the road. Many magazines touted the Cosworth as the best in its class for ’75 and ’76 by beating the likes of Alfa, BMW and Saab. This Cosworth Vega has a racing heritage, plenty of positive magazine articles, outstanding body off restoration and low mileage. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is offering a 1931 Ford Model A two door sedan. The Model A paved the way for mass produced vehicles. By the end of the run, Ford had produced almost 5 million Model A’s. These vehicles could be purchased in a variety of body styles. From sporty roadsters to industrial trucks, the platform was extremely versatile. This particular example is the popular two door sedan. There’s seating for 4 and plenty of windows for airflow. Even the front wind screen can be tilted open to let in fresh air. Under the hood is a simple flat head 4-cylinder engine. It uses a 3-speed manual transmission and transfers power to the rear axle. These cars are not speed machines, but they are torquey and fun to drive around town. The consignor has owned the car since 1999, and states they have the receipt for the engine rebuild from 7/00. This one fires up nicely and runs and drives like it should. The exterior is a Brown and Tan 2- tone paint, with cloth interior upholstery. This Model A is road ready and has a lot of life left. Take home a piece of history with this 1931 Ford Model A. You can see this Model A in greater detail in our Atlanta showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to offer a beautiful 2002 Ford Thunderbird. In 1955, the Thunderbird was revealed as a personal luxury car and changed over time until production ceased at the end of 1997. In 2002, Ford brought the Thunderbird back as a two seat model that was available until the end of 2005, during its success Ford produced over 4.4 million Thunderbirds. The eleventh generation had the same two-seat coupe/convertible layout as the first generation as well as some of the same characteristics as was on the 55’-57’ T-Birds. Because the Thunderbird shared the same DEW98 platform as the Lincoln LS and Jaguar S-Type, they shared interior styling particularly in the dash area, instrument panel, steering wheel and a Jaguar designed AJ-30 3.9L DOHC V8. This particular model is hiding a 3.9L V8 FI DOHC 32V engine and a 5 speed automatic transmission under the hood and has a total of only 29,159 miles. The T-Bird features a rare and desirable color: Thunderbird Ebony black, trimmed in red. This color is reminiscent of the 55 Thunderbirds which featured a similar color option. With such low miles, the car is just as clean as youd guess, and would make a great show car, or an extremely clean driver. This Thunderbirds retain the looks and style of a classic, but all the creature comforts of a late model, so an enthusiast can get the best of both worlds. To view this 2002 Ford Thunderbird in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Now available at our Dallas-Showroom, Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this very patriotic 1976 Chevrolet El Camino! This vehicle is simply oozing American pride all over and is a tribute to those who’ve sacrificed so much for us, to allow us the FREEDOMS we all enjoy on a daily basis. Starting off, how could you not notice the wrap? Originally white, this vehicle has had a wrap placed on it by Hightech Signs, out of Rockwall, TX, depicting several iconic images by multiple branches of our military throughout time. Eloquently stating on both sides, “Freedom isn’t free.” It also comes with a custom/removable flag stand & 5- flags, which easily bolts and unbolts in and out of the bed of this El Camino. The flags represent all 5-braches of the military, including the Coast Guard and are being sold with the vehicle. The mechanics of this vehicle were restored by Ziggy’s rods & customs and include the following work: Installed a rebuilt 305 Engine & 350 Transmission, installed a new radiator- with Flex-a-lite electric fans, added a Vintage A/C + Heating system, installed digital instrument gauges (Intellitronix), and went over the Power-Brakes, Power-Steering, & Power-Windows. The interior looks sharp and keeps with the Red, White, & Blue theme portrayed by the exterior. This was completed by Travis Upholstery, out of Royce City, TX. They even went as far as to add an American Flag on the glove box, which I found to be a nice touch and really tying it all together. Whether cruising this patriotic ride over to a local car-show or perhaps in a parade, you’re sure to get plenty of compliments and have quite the conversation starter. This 1976 Chevrolet El Camino is for sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (817) 310-9400 or email us at Dallas@GatewayClassicCars.com. If you would like to see it in person, come to our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom, located at 1250 Mustang Drive, Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, TX 76051. Hours: Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM EST.

Description:

For sale in our Nashville showroom is a 1960 Dodge Phoenix. This 1960 Phoenix for sale has an incredible low number of miles on it. With just 8,050 that’s eight thousand fifty actual miles on it, this just might be the poster for the most unused car ever. Let’s do the math, in 58 years this car has traveled 8,050 miles so that is 138.79 miles a year or 11.57 miles a month or approximately .38 miles a day give or take a leap year. This ’60 Dodge Phoenix for sale is covered in a light blue paint that certainly shows the pride of ownership and speaking of ownership there have been just three lucky people to have their name on the title to this classic. The current owner tells us that the information he has shows that the 1st owner was a school teacher who drove 2 miles a day and amassed right at 5,000 miles. The 2nd owner added a whopping 2,000 miles to the odometer and the current and 3rd owner added the remainder. I think this car needs to stretch it’s legs, I am hoping that the next owner takes this car on the road trip long enough for the fluids to warm up. I am sure you have had a chance to view the pictures and can see how well this car has been taken care of. Open the hood and the 318 Cubic inch engine shows no wear and very little dust, backing this power plant is a three speed automatic transmission that is controlled by push button instead of the traditional column shifter. With much of the attention in the late 50’s and early 60’s revolving around the space race, you can certainly see the influence in the “futuristic speedometer gauges and even the round tail lights and fins. The interior is as original as the factory paint on the outside of this classic and looks as if it might have been transported from a 1960 Dodge dealer showroom to ours in 2018. Options for this 1960 Dodge for sale include: Power steering, Power brakes, Hubcaps, vinyl interior and Bias ply white wall tires For more information call the Nashville showroom at 615-213-1800 or email us at nashville@gatewayclassiccars.com http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/NSH/723/1960-Dodge-Pheonix
