Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this heavy hitter, a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda tribute located at our showroom in West Deptford, NJ! Shedding its Valiant roots, the Plymouth Barracuda entered the scene with a brand-new look in 1970. Featuring a radical restyling on the new E-Body platform, this car was ready to do battle against GM and Ford pony car contenders in performance and style. The challenging task of fitting Chryslers 426 Hemi engine into the previous A-Body Barracudas was one of the main reasons a redesign of the car was necessary. The Hemi fit like a glove in the new E-Body thanks to the larger cowl structure and all was set to rock the muscle car world. This incredible Hemi Cuda tribute continues the legend from the powerplant to the paint! Nothing was left untouched during the extensive restoration by Clark Classic Restorations in Greenville, NC. While it started life as a 318 Barracuda, this car underwent an unparalleled transformation into the performance machine you see now. Utilizing original sheet metal, the body was mounted on a rotisserie where the real work began. A gorgeous coat of Lemon Twist Yellow paint was applied along with the sporty hockey-stripe bodyside stripes that accentuate the performance aspect of the Plymouth Cuda. The heart and soul of the car, the fully-built 426 CID V8 Hemi crate engine rumbles with authority through Mandrel bent exhaust and ceramic long tube headers. Linked to the powerplant is a Mancini Racing 727 automatic transmission that shifts beautifully thanks to an iconic pistol grip slap-stik shifter. Press on the gas to feel that familiar launch found only with a Big Block Mopar! Thats a Mancini Racing Dana 60 9 rear with 3.54 gears! Additional performance features include Heavy Duty Dutchman 35 spline Axle, light weight driveshaft and 1350 Spicer U joints, Heidts Front End, Hemi K Member, Correct Hemi Leaf Springs, Powermaster Starter and Alternator, Adjustable Koni shocks, Track Style Front and Rear Brake Linings, Power Front Disc Brakes with slotted drilled rotors and so much more! Stroll to the inside of this gorgeous ride to reveal a crisp white leather interior that looks just as it did when it left the factory thanks to Legendary Auto Interiors. Take a seat in the comfortable buckets and blast that AM/FM Radio with 8 Track and MP3 input rebuilt by Wards Classic Radio Repair! Cruise with the matching white automatic convertible top down on those sunny days and relax knowing you are driving the coolest car of them all! Wrap your hands around the custom wood steering wheel and take note of the clean gauges including a fully-functioning clock. From the unique slotted courtesy lights to the seat belts redone by Ssnake-Oyl of Texas, the interior on this Cuda is off the hook! Simply stated, this Cuda is awesomeness in physical form. Just look at that Shaker Hood, a standard option with those who checked off the Hemi box when they sat with their Chrysler-Plymouth Dealer. This hood did more than just shake when the Hemi unleashed its fury, it allowed cooler, denser air to enter those twin carbs! The pice de rsistance is the set of 15x8 rallye wheels that convey the message that this car means business. The 1970 Hemi Cuda produced some of the most frightening quarter-mile times ever back in the day and it remains one of the most revered muscle cars ever made. Heres your chance to own one! This build was highly documented and was done right as anyone can see. With only 284 miles on the build, this car is ready to run! Give us a call today to make this beauty yours! To view this 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Tribute in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Dallas is proud to present something Special. a 1939 Buick Special 46 Business Coupe to be exact. Building something different is the whole point of street rodding, but sometimes it seems like everything different has already been done. This Buick business coupe proves that guys are still finding out-of-the-ordinary cars to build--and turning them into cool street rods. A Buick business coupe is kind of a contradiction, the no-frills model of an upscale marque. In building this one they didnt disguise the cars on-the-job identity, ghey turned it into something classy. This car spent many years in Pennsylvania under a handful of owners. Just a few months before the builder started their search, the Buick had migrated southwest, ending up at a restoration shop in West Fort Worth about 30 miles from our dealership. It was in excellent condition. The Buick business coupe was just what the owner wanted, but wasnt quite the way he wanted it. In the five years that followed, the Buick underwent an extensive transformation. Modifications to the chassis were handled by Nathan Hale at Hales Speed Shop in Lewisvillle, Texas. The center X-member was removed from the factory frame and the rails were boxed. The frontend was converted to a Fatman Fabrications MII Stage II system, with 2-inch drop spindles for a street rod stance and a power rack for effortless maneuvering. Ride quality is improved by QA1 shocks and springs mounted all around. A Quick Performance Racing 9-inch rearend has 3.90:1 gears in a Traction-Lok limited slip differential, spinning 31-spline axles. The brakes were upgraded to Wilwood 11-inch discs in front and 11-inch rear drums, plumbed to a reverse 90-degree underdash master cylinder and booster setup from Kugel Komponents. The project called for modern power and a GM 376ci LS3 525 Crate engine answers the call loud and clear, producing 525 hp and 435 lb-ft of torque. Polished stainless steel fuel rail covers from American Car Craft dress up the engine. The Spectre Performance intake system draws cold air from the rear of the engine compartment through filtered intake tubes feeding a custom throttle body. The 3-inch exhaust system is capped with mufflers from AA Muffler and Brake in Irving, Texas. Torque is delivered to the rear wheels via a 4L70E transmission and a driveshaft from Automotive Driveline Supply. For the bodywork and paint, they took the Buick to Charlie Canalizo of Leezo Brothers Auto Crafters, who had also worked on the Chevy truck. Other than taking care of the minor displays of rust, Canalizo kept the Buicks distinct lines unmodified. Mild customization was limited to such details as pulled in bumpers, 7-inch Snake-Eye headlight lenses, custom LED taillights from Lambert Enterprises, and smoothed decklid. The paint, shot by Canalizo, is a metallic dark chocolate Bentley hue called Havana. Classy and distinct, its the perfect color for a Buick street rod. The owner made a smart choice in finishing the outward appearance with understated and retro wheels. The Wheel Vintiques 20 Series Solid wheels with caps and rings measure 15 inches. The wide whitewall tires are 235/70R15s and 185/70R15 BFGoodrich Silvertown radials. On the inside, they maintained the utilitarian style of a business coupe, but with the elegance suited to a Buick--and the combination is amazing. At Compton Custom Interiors in Fort Worth, the plain original seats and original-style door panels were covered in tan hides from Replicate Custom Leather. In the back, the marginally existent opera seats were replaced by a leather-covered interior trunk with the look of vintage luggage. The German square weave carpet takes the elegance level up one more notch. Vintage Series gauges from Classic Instruments were the ideal choice to fill the original dash; the LimeWorks 16-inch 1940-style steering wheel and 1940 Ford-style column fit the look of the car just as well. Compton Custom Interiors installed the stereo system (with Audison processor, JL Audio amp, and Alpine speakers) out of the way, to avoid clashing in appearance. The Vintage Air A/C is also installed practically invisibly. This build was finished in 2016 and has 1200 Miles on it, going long distances and performing. This excellent one of a kind streetrod is equipped with modern amenities, power disc brakes, power steering, AC, Backup camera, AM FM Bluetooth radio, Fuel Imjected modern drivtrain and suspension. This Special Buick can only be found at the Gateway Classic Cars Dallas Showroom, Please give us a call at 817-310-9400 or email Dallas@GatewayClassicCars.com

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is overwhelmingly excited to feature this 1939 Chevrolet Coupe for sale in our Arizona showroom right now, located in North Phoenix. Once upon a time, drag racing was all any motorhead wanted to talk about in America. V8s dominated this scene of course, but some racers and builders decided to be Salmon in a stream full of Trout- they swam upstream with their 6 Cylinders in an attempt to win against all odds. This gasser is a product of two drag racing greats- the late, great “Bullet Bob Reid and “Fast Freddie Fred Wagenhals. Reid wanted to recreate the 39 Chevy gasser from his U.S. Nationals days of the 50s and 60s while Wagenhals hadnt forgotten his roots and was all in for partnering on the build. This 1939 Chevy Coupe has a L25 292 Inline 6 engine bored .40 over to 298 CID. A 12-port Sissel fuel injected head, GRP aluminum rods, J&E pistons, Outlaw headers and a 9 inch rear end geared to 5:67 help this awesome build run a sub-10 second quarter mile topping out at almost 140mph. The numbers on this one are 576hp and 470lb ft of torque. This Chevy Coupe is gorgeous as well as quick- it is painted in Racing Red with throwback decals all over the car. Competition Engineering suspension, a stiffened roll cage and fresh M&H rear slick tires keep this drag racer on the straight and narrow towards a record breaking time. Indeed, this very car set the world record for 6 cylinder gassers on three separate occasions and has only been raced 10 times (according to the seller). Fill her up with 112 octane gas and hit the drag strip in this legendary build! Our helpful and knowledgeable Sales staff can help you answer any questions you have by dialing our showroom on (623) 900-4884 or emailing us at scottsdale@gatewayclassiccars.com See more photos and a video at: http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/SCT/535/1939-Chevrolet-Coupe

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this unbelievably custom 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. The 55 Chevy Bel-Air is arguably one of the best-looking cars ever built. There clean lines and finless design make them great candidates for full on custom builds. Art Morrison started out building frames for tubbed out drag cars in the 70’s and 80’s but the company really took off when he began building his line of pro-touring chassis’. This 55 is sitting on one of his custom-built frames which not only looks good but increases the handling of the car dramatically. Finished off in the same Erica red paint as the body making the transition from floor pan to frame almost seamless. With touches of chrome here and there to break it up you can tell this was a well thought out build. The stance of the car was also dramatically changed due to the chassis as well with it sitting much lower than a stock 55. The wheels will be the next thing you notice with the set consisting of 18’s in the front and 20’s in the back giving the car that aggressive look. Behind those wheels are a set of chrome plated calipers that blend nicely while the cross-drilled and slotted rotors show people you mean business. Under that silky-smooth hood is was most consider the Mecca of LS powerplants. This LS7 has been built with a mild cam giving it a nice lope at idle but the real work is in the details. The intake has been painted to match with the custom firewall being cleaned up which flows into the custom inner fender wells. A custom piece of metal was formed to cover up the radiator as well making this engine bay look seamless like the rest of the car. Putting power to the road is a built 4l60 transmission giving you the capability to drive this beauty down the freeway comfortably at highway speeds. Inside the custom touches are extensive with the dash being made from one piece of metal as well. The gauges and AC vents are molded into that custom dash as well keeping with that flowing design. The leather wrapped seats are extremely comfortable while the Lokar shifter sits perfectly in the custom-made console. With this car being a fresh build and never shown to the public this beauty is guaranteed to collect a whole room of trophies or do what this car was intended to do Drive It! During that time he advanced the odometer from 72k to 104k miles and it is reported to have had an undamaged history. At one point he painted and re-trimmed the car. In 2004 the car was sold on to an enthusiast in Los Angeles. Then, in 2005 the car was purchased by another enthusiast in the East who after owning the car for many years commissioned the total nut and bolt restoration putting the car is the superb condition you see today. The 1973 911S is powered by Porsches 2.4L motor with MFI (mechanical fuel injection) with a 5-speed gearbox. These are rated by enthusiasts among the most desireable and best handling of the early 911s. With 185 HP, this 911S does 0-60 in about 6.6 seconds, which was outstanding for the period. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a great little 1980 MG B. These Bs are a lovely classic car to own. Since they were made in England, they have plenty of British character. Luckily by 1980, they had worked out the bugs with these Bs and they really are quite reliable vehicles. The recipe is simple: a 4 cylinder engine up front, a 4 speed transmission in the middle, and rear wheel drive. This makes for a really fun to drive, yet simple machine. This particular example has been beautifully kept and shows only 76,319 miles on the odometer. The car is mostly stock with the exception of a single Weber carburetor. The 1,800cc engine runs beautifully and the car drives like a much newer vehicle than it is. The MG is finished in jet black inside and out which gives a nice timeless look. The paint has a deep shine and the interior shows very little wear. This car has been used as a sunny day driver and would be great to bring to the local Cars and Coffee. The engine compartment is clean and presentable, so its ready to show! You can see this cherry little 1980 MG B in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or stl@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to offer this low-mileage vintage 1976 Mercedes Benz 300D for sale. The W115-114 Chassis became a very successful platform for Daimler-Benz and provided customers with more precise handling, superior road surface irregularity damping and isolation, a more comfortable interior, and more modern styling than the previous chassis had, with its newer, smoother lines. The interior of this Benz shows you what German luxury was all about in the 1970s and features larger seating areas covered in MB-Tex upholstery, wood grain interior trim, a large steering wheel, and easy to operate controls. Under the hood is Mercedes venerable, nearly-bulletproof inline 5-cylinder diesel engine. Its ability to deliver near-gasoline-engine-like acceleration was a combined result of its seamless torque delivery, and smooth-shifting automatic gearbox; which gave the 300Ds the ability to easily reach highway speeds without the typical diesel drama that lesser types of diesel were known for (you know - the wait, wait, wait, ahh, now were moving! experience). Merging onto freeway on-ramps was no longer something that one had to plan well in advance for, to avoid being rear-ended by cars already moving at speed. In addition to being well known and popular for their looks, these cars were touted for reliability and durability, with many of them reaching the vaunted Million Mile club; and, like this low-mileage example, are still on the road today. Options on this Mimosa Yellow beauty include cruise control, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power locks, power windows, air conditioning, power sunroof, AM/FM radio, seat belts, radial tires, and color-matched painted wheel covers. This classic has been well kept for its entire life and is ready to provide its next lucky owner with many years and many more miles of fine driving. This is the one you want to own. This 1976 Mercedes 300 D is sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. This particular IROC-Z for sale can straighten the curves and flatten the hills with the best of them, thanks to power steering and power brakes. Powering this particular Camaro is a 5.0L TPI V8 engine. With gobs of low end torque, these engines were excellent for light to light acceleration and for acceleration when exiting corners. The healthy small block Chevy engine is backed by a 700r4 4-speed automatic transmission. With overdrive, this car was a cruiser that could get you to the track and put down decent fuel mileage, then tear up the competition at the track. Though built with performance in mind, Chevy was sure to add comfort and drivability to the mix! The exterior on this 1990 Chevy Camaro for sale is a beautiful shade of Red, complimented with IROC stripes along the rocker panels. The hood louvers give this Chevy a 90s muscle car look that just doesnt quit! The interior is nice, in a clean Tan cloth with bucket seats. Description:

This 1986 Nissan 300ZX turbo is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 86 300ZX turbo was sold in Japan from 1983 to 2001 and in the states from 1984 to 1996. Evolving form Nissans 240 that was already well accepted the 300 was more geared to the sports car market with more emphasis in handling and power output. With only 3 liters of motor to work with the only option would be the introduction to a turbo model something that was still in its early stages. To get the handling the way they want ted the car would have to be rear wheel drive as this red beauty is. The engine is the original Fuel Injected straight 6 that had a naturally aspirated 160 horsepower 200 with the single turbo. Which is plenty to get this little hatchback down the road. The red paint looks great on this car and shows exceptionally well. Options on this 1986 Nissan 300ZX turbo include, Leather Interior, Cruise Control, AM/FM/Tape, Tilt Wheel Power windows, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Seats, Aluminum Alloy wheels, and Radial Tires. Description:

For sale in our Nashville TN showroom is a 1986 Chevrolet Corvette. This Corvette has been painted Burgundy and has a Charcoal interior. The C4 Corvette represented a clean break from the Zora Arkus-Duntov-designed C3, with a completely new chassis and sleeker, more modern but still evolutionary styling. In a departure from the fiberglass panels of its forebearers, the C4s rear bumpers and panels were made from molding plastics, a sheet molding compound. The C4 fastback coupé was the first general production Corvette to have a glass hatchback for better storage access. The Corvette C4 came standard with an electronic dashboard with a digital liquid crystal display instrument cluster, with graphics for speed and RPM and digital displays for other important engine functions. The front suspension saw the C3s coil springs replaced by a transverse fiberglass mono-leaf spring, which was only 1/3 of the weight of the coil springs while also introducing an anti-roll bar-like effect on the front. From 1984 through 1988, the Corvette was available with a Doug Nash 4+3 transmission - a 4-speed manual coupled to an automatic overdrive on the top three gears. This unusual transmission was a synergy that allowed the Corvette to keep a stout 4 speed, but add an overdrive. Under the sleek hood youll find a 350 cubic inch small block V-8. This car is in like new condition having only been driven a mere 47,626 miles. Everything works as well as it did rolling off the showroom floor on this 1986 Chevrolet Corvette.
