Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to feature this 1982 Chevrolet Corvette for sale right now in our Arizona showroom on consignment, located in North Phoenix. 1982 was the final year of the iconic C3 Corvette, which started in 1968. During that time, the automotive industry in the USA went through a transformation concerning emissions regulations and safety standards yet the appearance of the Corvette, Americas sports car, is still recognizable when putting a first year and last year C3 side by side. Owned in the same family since the 1980s with just 69,000 actual miles on the odometer, this 1982 Corvette comes painted in “Silver Blue with desirable T-Tops and boy, has it aged well. Under the forward-opening hood of this 1982 Corvette is a 5.7l Throttle Body Injection “Cross Fire Injection engine tied to a 4-speed automatic transmission. The engine has been well maintained over the years and we have records of service history back to the late 1980s. Recent maintenance includes new fuel pump, belts/hoses/plugs and wires, radiator, and heater core. The 4-speed automatic transmission (700R4) that was introduced in 1982 was also a first for the Corvette, featuring lower first and second gears for acceleration and the 4th gear overdrive that reduced RPMs and provided better fuel economy on the highway. I dont think Ive seen many 82 Corvettes in this kind of running condition with the TBI small block Chevy. Other new (or at least lightly used) items on this ‘Vette include tires, weather stripping and on the inside reupholstered Blue clamshell seats and carpet with a retro stereo system also added. Imagine yourself taking off the T-Tops and going for a cruise in the late-night summer sun, enjoying the commanding driving experience this late-model C3 Corvette provides. Give our helpful and knowledgeable Sales staff a call at (623) 900-4884 for more information on this 1982 Chevrolet Corvette for sale. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is loving this silky-smooth German cruiser 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL featured in our Arizona showroom, located in North Phoenix. This classic Mercedes was part of the famous W107 series of Mercedes-Benz automobiles that ran from 1972 all the way to 1989 and the 560SL variant featured the biggest engine and therefore the “top-of-the-line reputation both at the time and today in collector markets. That engine is a fuel injected 5.6l V8 pushing an estimated 238hp and 287lb/ft of torque which was more than Rolls Royces were making at the time. A solid 4-speed automatic transmission gets you through the gears without a second thought once you flick this 560SL into “Drive. Aesthetically speaking, this Mercedes comes painted in a deep Charcoal Gray color that is so easy on the eye and is the perfect combination with the black convertible top and Silver leather interior/carpet. The 560SL offered an extensive list of factory conveniences such as power windows, power locks, cruise control, an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo and air conditioning. Because this was built 1987, there are also more modern safety features than most W107s such as anti-lock brakes, a third brake light, and a driver air bag. It gets even better when you find out that this 1987 Mercedes is a 3-owner from new car and has only been driven in quite possibly the best states for preserving a vehicle: California and Arizona (Carfax available on request). The 560SL has maintained its reputation as a powerful, reliable, well-appointed, classically styled luxury automobile and if youre still reading this you must be considering purchasing this one by now! Give our educated and professional Sales staff a call at (623) 900-4884 to get more information on this 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL. Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1976 Triumph TR6. The TR6 is Englands pride and joy to the rest of the world. With a total of 91000 built and less than 9000 staying in the UK the car is better known across the pond than in the UK. With its 2.5 liter straight 6 with the split manifold supporting dual carbs feeding the straight 6 plenty of fuel as needed. The rear independent suspension was groundbreaking for the time keeping with the British philosophy of great handling precision cars. The stock 15 wheels do a great job of covering up the disc brakes up front. The convertible soft top tucks away nicely under the soft cover which hides the canvas top nicely when not in use. With the 76 Model being the last of TR6 this truly is the model to get. This beauty has a very nice and clean interior with the bucket seats being very comfortable and the 4-speed shift lever located in the perfect spot. Put in the clutch and as you release it you can feel just how good it feels with plenty of play this 4 speed is ready for the gears to be gone thru. Rather that be on the open road or down a back twisty country road she is ready for whatever you throw at her. This is truly a gentlemans car with the steering being of the utmost precision as a true British car should be. That straight six ask to be in upper rpm range which is where you really feel the hp and torque come in to play. Description:

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this beautiful 1991 Chevrolet Corvette. Powered by the original 5.7l L98 V8 and partnered with the 6-speed manual transmission, this targa-top beauty is a blast to drive. IF this car looks familiar, you may have seen it either on “Dream Car Garage where it was featured in a 13 episode special, it has been featured on the Mid America Motorworks catalog as a cover car, and it was also on the cover of the June 2005 issue of Grassroots Motorsports Magazine. Its fair to say this car gets some attention! For those of you unfamiliar with Dream Car Garage, they take a stock or mostly stock vehicle, and apply a series of upgrades during the course of the show to take the vehicle to the next level. Having been a part of the show, this Corvette has seen some high end parts installed, and it wont take more than a minute behind the wheel to feel the difference. An Opima Red Top battery has been fitted to make sure the Corvette cranks strong whenever you need to scratch your speed itch. An Accel distributor and spark plug wired keep a strong spark going to all 8 cylinders. A ram air intake with a high-flow filter element let as much air in as possible while blocking all the road dust. Winding this engine out to 5,500rpms sounds great thanks to the Corsa exhaust system singing the whole time. Once up to speed, the vehicle is kept stable thanks to Bilstien struts at all 4 corners. Making sure there is ample grip is always important in a performance vehicle, and a set of Yokohama tires do the job tremendously. Going fast is great, but having total control of the vehicle is the icing on the cake. Being able to safely and quickly bring any vehicle to a stop lets you push the envelope just a bit further, and thanks to Baer brakes both front and rear, you can really let it all hang out. With a freshly redone interior, this Corvette has had all of its bases covered. Options include: Air-Conditioning, AM/FM/XM Radio, Targa Top, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Seats, Power Windows, Power Mirrors, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Radial Tires, and a Posi Traction rear end. To see more HD photos and an HD video of this vehicle running and driving, please visit www.GatewayClassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer a 1961 Mercedes SL 190 Cream in color with a deep red interior. Daimler-Benz began development of the 190 SL in 1952, just before the introduction of its volume Pontoon sedans. Like the sedans, it was constructed with a welded frame-floor structure and separate sub-frame. However, it rode a shorter wheelbase, not coincidentally, the same as the 300 SL. As the company’s first volume sports car, the 190 SL shared the 120-horsepower, 1.9-liter four-cylinder engine and running gear with the W120 model Type 180 Sedan, while also offering styling like the legendary 300 SL Gullwing Coupe and Roadster. The resemblance to the 300 SL was certainly intentional. At $3,840 new in 1955, it was half the price of its muscular sibling, which introduced a roadster model of its own starting in 1957. The 190 SL (for Sport Light) was produced from 1955 through 1963, with Mercedes-Benz building 25,881 units. The factory claimed a top speed of 110 mph, with 0–60 mph times of 13.3 seconds, while also offering up to 26 mpg, the perfect combination for effortless touring. The 190 SL was powered by a new, slightly over square 105 PS (77 kW; 104 hp) Type M121 BII 1.9 L straight-four SOHC engine. Based on the 300 SLs straight six, it had an unchanged 85 mm bore and 4.3 mm reduced 83.6 mm stroke, was fitted with twin-choke dual Solex carburetors, and produced 120 gross hp.To view this 1961 Mercedes SL190 in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. The 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Fuel Injected Split Window Coupe is one of the most sought after American classic cars and a must have for any collector. The 1963 Corvette not only had a new design which is one of the most beautiful cars ever to come out of Detroit but also newfound handling prowess. This Vette just went through a frame-off restoration within the last several months. Powered by a numbers matching RF code 327 Fuel Injected 360 hp motor that was recently rebuilt with only ten miles since the rebuild. Mated to the engine is the original numbers matching Muncie 4-speed. Finished in the original black combination - Black over black leather - this Corvette is unequivocally stunning. The one-year-only split window coupes have become very rare and been proven to be an excellent investment. This car has aluminum wheels and Coker Classic Red-Line tires that really set it off. For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a 1991 Lola T9100 Indy Car. If you are looking for a vintage racer with some history to it, then look no further. According to the information that the owner has provided on this car’s history, this car was run by Hall-VDS Racing out of Midland, Texas for the 1991 CART season. Piloted by John Andretti, this car won the opening race of the season at the Gold Coast IndyCar Grand Prix, as well as taking 5 at the Indianapolis 500. This 1991 Model Lola Indy car has recently been run in vintage events with SVRA, HSR, and other organizations for racing such vintage racers. It is powered by the Ilmor-Chevy 265A turbocharged V8. I know what you are thinking, who can you get to work on that? Good news, it was recently completely rebuilt by VDS Racing, and only has about 3 hours on it since the overhaul. The car has been professionally maintained by knowledgeable Indy Car technicians, with it’s only modification since the Hall-VDS days being a shift light. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Dallas is proud to present something Special. a 1939 Buick Special 46 Business Coupe to be exact. Building something different is the whole point of street rodding, but sometimes it seems like everything different has already been done. This Buick business coupe proves that guys are still finding out-of-the-ordinary cars to build--and turning them into cool street rods. A Buick business coupe is kind of a contradiction, the no-frills model of an upscale marque. In building this one they didnt disguise the cars on-the-job identity, ghey turned it into something classy. This car spent many years in Pennsylvania under a handful of owners. Just a few months before the builder started their search, the Buick had migrated southwest, ending up at a restoration shop in West Fort Worth about 30 miles from our dealership. It was in excellent condition. The Buick business coupe was just what the owner wanted, but wasnt quite the way he wanted it. In the five years that followed, the Buick underwent an extensive transformation. Modifications to the chassis were handled by Nathan Hale at Hales Speed Shop in Lewisvillle, Texas. The center X-member was removed from the factory frame and the rails were boxed. The frontend was converted to a Fatman Fabrications MII Stage II system, with 2-inch drop spindles for a street rod stance and a power rack for effortless maneuvering. Ride quality is improved by QA1 shocks and springs mounted all around. A Quick Performance Racing 9-inch rearend has 3.90:1 gears in a Traction-Lok limited slip differential, spinning 31-spline axles. The brakes were upgraded to Wilwood 11-inch discs in front and 11-inch rear drums, plumbed to a reverse 90-degree underdash master cylinder and booster setup from Kugel Komponents. The project called for modern power and a GM 376ci LS3 525 Crate engine answers the call loud and clear, producing 525 hp and 435 lb-ft of torque. Polished stainless steel fuel rail covers from American Car Craft dress up the engine. The Spectre Performance intake system draws cold air from the rear of the engine compartment through filtered intake tubes feeding a custom throttle body. The 3-inch exhaust system is capped with mufflers from AA Muffler and Brake in Irving, Texas. Torque is delivered to the rear wheels via a 4L70E transmission and a driveshaft from Automotive Driveline Supply. For the bodywork and paint, they took the Buick to Charlie Canalizo of Leezo Brothers Auto Crafters, who had also worked on the Chevy truck. Other than taking care of the minor displays of rust, Canalizo kept the Buicks distinct lines unmodified. Mild customization was limited to such details as pulled in bumpers, 7-inch Snake-Eye headlight lenses, custom LED taillights from Lambert Enterprises, and smoothed decklid. The paint, shot by Canalizo, is a metallic dark chocolate Bentley hue called Havana. Classy and distinct, its the perfect color for a Buick street rod. The owner made a smart choice in finishing the outward appearance with understated and retro wheels. The Wheel Vintiques 20 Series Solid wheels with caps and rings measure 15 inches. The wide whitewall tires are 235/70R15s and 185/70R15 BFGoodrich Silvertown radials. On the inside, they maintained the utilitarian style of a business coupe, but with the elegance suited to a Buick--and the combination is amazing. At Compton Custom Interiors in Fort Worth, the plain original seats and original-style door panels were covered in tan hides from Replicate Custom Leather. In the back, the marginally existent opera seats were replaced by a leather-covered interior trunk with the look of vintage luggage. The German square weave carpet takes the elegance level up one more notch. Vintage Series gauges from Classic Instruments were the ideal choice to fill the original dash; the LimeWorks 16-inch 1940-style steering wheel and 1940 Ford-style column fit the look of the car just as well. Compton Custom Interiors installed the stereo system (with Audison processor, JL Audio amp, and Alpine speakers) out of the way, to avoid clashing in appearance. The Vintage Air A/C is also installed practically invisibly. This build was finished in 2016 and has 1200 Miles on it, going long distances and performing. This excellent one of a kind streetrod is equipped with modern amenities, power disc brakes, power steering, AC, Backup camera, AM FM Bluetooth radio, Fuel Imjected modern drivtrain and suspension. This Special Buick can only be found at the Gateway Classic Cars Dallas Showroom, Please give us a call at 817-310-9400 or email Dallas@GatewayClassicCars.com
