Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer a 1961 Mercedes SL 190 Cream in color with a deep red interior. Daimler-Benz began development of the 190 SL in 1952, just before the introduction of its volume Pontoon sedans. Like the sedans, it was constructed with a welded frame-floor structure and separate sub-frame. However, it rode a shorter wheelbase, not coincidentally, the same as the 300 SL. As the company’s first volume sports car, the 190 SL shared the 120-horsepower, 1.9-liter four-cylinder engine and running gear with the W120 model Type 180 Sedan, while also offering styling like the legendary 300 SL Gullwing Coupe and Roadster. The resemblance to the 300 SL was certainly intentional. At $3,840 new in 1955, it was half the price of its muscular sibling, which introduced a roadster model of its own starting in 1957. The 190 SL (for Sport Light) was produced from 1955 through 1963, with Mercedes-Benz building 25,881 units. The factory claimed a top speed of 110 mph, with 0–60 mph times of 13.3 seconds, while also offering up to 26 mpg, the perfect combination for effortless touring. The 190 SL was powered by a new, slightly over square 105 PS (77 kW; 104 hp) Type M121 BII 1.9 L straight-four SOHC engine. Based on the 300 SLs straight six, it had an unchanged 85 mm bore and 4.3 mm reduced 83.6 mm stroke, was fitted with twin-choke dual Solex carburetors, and produced 120 gross hp.To view this 1961 Mercedes SL190 in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Coupe. The 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Fuel Injected Split Window Coupe is one of the most sought after American classic cars and a must have for any collector. The 1963 Corvette not only had a new design which is one of the most beautiful cars ever to come out of Detroit but also newfound handling prowess. This Vette just went through a frame-off restoration within the last several months. Powered by a numbers matching RF code 327 Fuel Injected 360 hp motor that was recently rebuilt with only ten miles since the rebuild. Mated to the engine is the original numbers matching Muncie 4-speed. Finished in the original black combination - Black over black leather - this Corvette is unequivocally stunning. The one-year-only split window coupes have become very rare and been proven to be an excellent investment. This car has aluminum wheels and Coker Classic Red-Line tires that really set it off. The C2 Sting Ray was also somewhat lighter than the C1 Corvette, so acceleration and performance were improved despite unchanged horsepower. For the 1963 model year 21513 units would be built which was up 50 percent from the record-setting 1962 version. Production was divided almost evenly between the convertible and the new split window coupe - 10919 and 10594 respectively - with just a hand full produced with optional fuel injection. Option include AM Radio, Spare Tire, Power Steering, Jack, Leather Interior, Fuel Injection. VIN# 30837S109704, Assembly date 02/27/1963, Block Casting 3782870, Pad Stamp 3109704 F0116RF, Cylinder Heads #3782461, Dated Balancer #02/27/1963, Rochester Fuel Injection #7017375 date L2-02-02 This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a 1991 Lola T9100 Indy Car. If you are looking for a vintage racer with some history to it, then look no further. According to the information that the owner has provided on this car’s history, this car was run by Hall-VDS Racing out of Midland, Texas for the 1991 CART season. Piloted by John Andretti, this car won the opening race of the season at the Gold Coast IndyCar Grand Prix, as well as taking 5 at the Indianapolis 500. This 1991 Model Lola Indy car has recently been run in vintage events with SVRA, HSR, and other organizations for racing such vintage racers. It is powered by the Ilmor-Chevy 265A turbocharged V8. I know what you are thinking, who can you get to work on that? Good news, it was recently completely rebuilt by VDS Racing, and only has about 3 hours on it since the overhaul. The car has been professionally maintained by knowledgeable Indy Car technicians, with it’s only modification since the Hall-VDS days being a shift light. Given how ready to run this car is, we say that is a handy modification. This Indy Car is ready to run the track, be the crown jewel of your collection, or both! Either way, it would make a great addition to any fleet. To view this vehicle in greater detail including HD pictures and videos, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Dallas is proud to present something Special. a 1939 Buick Special 46 Business Coupe to be exact. Building something different is the whole point of street rodding, but sometimes it seems like everything different has already been done. This Buick business coupe proves that guys are still finding out-of-the-ordinary cars to build--and turning them into cool street rods. A Buick business coupe is kind of a contradiction, the no-frills model of an upscale marque. In building this one they didnt disguise the cars on-the-job identity, ghey turned it into something classy. This car spent many years in Pennsylvania under a handful of owners. Just a few months before the builder started their search, the Buick had migrated southwest, ending up at a restoration shop in West Fort Worth about 30 miles from our dealership. It was in excellent condition. The Buick business coupe was just what the owner wanted, but wasnt quite the way he wanted it. In the five years that followed, the Buick underwent an extensive transformation. Modifications to the chassis were handled by Nathan Hale at Hales Speed Shop in Lewisvillle, Texas. The center X-member was removed from the factory frame and the rails were boxed. The frontend was converted to a Fatman Fabrications MII Stage II system, with 2-inch drop spindles for a street rod stance and a power rack for effortless maneuvering. Ride quality is improved by QA1 shocks and springs mounted all around. A Quick Performance Racing 9-inch rearend has 3.90:1 gears in a Traction-Lok limited slip differential, spinning 31-spline axles. The brakes were upgraded to Wilwood 11-inch discs in front and 11-inch rear drums, plumbed to a reverse 90-degree underdash master cylinder and booster setup from Kugel Komponents. The project called for modern power and a GM 376ci LS3 525 Crate engine answers the call loud and clear, producing 525 hp and 435 lb-ft of torque. Polished stainless steel fuel rail covers from American Car Craft dress up the engine. The Spectre Performance intake system draws cold air from the rear of the engine compartment through filtered intake tubes feeding a custom throttle body. The 3-inch exhaust system is capped with mufflers from AA Muffler and Brake in Irving, Texas. Torque is delivered to the rear wheels via a 4L70E transmission and a driveshaft from Automotive Driveline Supply. For the bodywork and paint, they took the Buick to Charlie Canalizo of Leezo Brothers Auto Crafters, who had also worked on the Chevy truck. Other than taking care of the minor displays of rust, Canalizo kept the Buicks distinct lines unmodified. Mild customization was limited to such details as pulled in bumpers, 7-inch Snake-Eye headlight lenses, custom LED taillights from Lambert Enterprises, and smoothed decklid. The paint, shot by Canalizo, is a metallic dark chocolate Bentley hue called Havana. Classy and distinct, its the perfect color for a Buick street rod. The owner made a smart choice in finishing the outward appearance with understated and retro wheels. The Wheel Vintiques 20 Series Solid wheels with caps and rings measure 15 inches. The wide whitewall tires are 235/70R15s and 185/70R15 BFGoodrich Silvertown radials. On the inside, they maintained the utilitarian style of a business coupe, but with the elegance suited to a Buick--and the combination is amazing. At Compton Custom Interiors in Fort Worth, the plain original seats and original-style door panels were covered in tan hides from Replicate Custom Leather. In the back, the marginally existent opera seats were replaced by a leather-covered interior trunk with the look of vintage luggage. The German square weave carpet takes the elegance level up one more notch. Vintage Series gauges from Classic Instruments were the ideal choice to fill the original dash; the LimeWorks 16-inch 1940-style steering wheel and 1940 Ford-style column fit the look of the car just as well. Compton Custom Interiors installed the stereo system (with Audison processor, JL Audio amp, and Alpine speakers) out of the way, to avoid clashing in appearance. The Vintage Air A/C is also installed practically invisibly. This build was finished in 2016 and has 1200 Miles on it, going long distances and performing. This excellent one of a kind streetrod is equipped with modern amenities, power disc brakes, power steering, AC, Backup camera, AM FM Bluetooth radio, Fuel Imjected modern drivtrain and suspension. This Special Buick can only be found at the Gateway Classic Cars Dallas Showroom, Please give us a call at 817-310-9400 or email Dallas@GatewayClassicCars.com

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is pleased to offer this 1979 VW Beetle convertible with an air cooled 1600cc engine and 5 speed transmission. The 1979 model year was the last year for the convertible Beetle which makes this car even more desirable. There were many upgrades done to the Beetle throughout its long production history and this car incorporates many of those improvements. The Macpherson strut front suspension gives this Beetle better handling and ride than earlier models. Unlike many vintage VWs that have had questionable and not always beneficial “modifications done, this Bug is just as the engineers at Volkswagen who designed these cars intended. The body looks like it was repainted sometime in the past in a Turquoise, and is what GCC would consider a driver quality paint job. The Black soft top has no tears and works well, and the black interior is also in good original condition. The engine has a complete chrome dress up kit installed and adds a bit of extra interest. This car runs, drives and shifts as it should and is ready to take you on your next open road adventure, so put the top down, let the sun shine and let the good times roll in this classic VW Beetle convertible! Remember yesterdays thinkers are todays buyers so dont wait. Options for this 79 Beetle include: vinyl interior, seat belts, JVC am/fm/cd stereo, argent wheels, whit wall radials. Description:

Now featuring at the Milwaukee Showroom at Gateway Classic Cars is this hot red 1992 Chevrolet Corvette. The C4 Corvette represented a clean break from the Zora Arkus-Duntov-designed C3, with a completely new chassis and sleeker, more modern but still evolutionary styling. It was the work of a team under chief Corvette designer Dave McLellan, whod taken over from Duntov in 1975. This Chevy is bound to receive attention while prominently featuring a white convertible top against the cherry red paint job which makes for playful yet beautiful contrast. Under the hood of this Corvette lies a LT1 V8 engine bolted to a 6-speed manual transmission ensuring the most exhilarating experience offer able by this model. As if the 300-horsepower power plant wasnt enough to make this a thrill machine; a Vortech supercharger has been paired with a cold air intake to add more power to an already legendary powertrain. In a departure from the fiberglass panels of its forebearers, the C4s rear bumpers and panels were made from molding plastics, a sheet molding compound. The C4 fastback coupe was the first general production Corvette to have a glass hatchback (the limited edition 1982 Collector Edition being the first Corvette equipped with this feature) for better storage access. The Corvette C4 came standard with an electronic dashboard with a digital liquid crystal display dash, with graphics for speed and RPM and digital displays for other important engine functions. This 1992 Chevrolet Corvette is available at our Milwaukee Showroom at Gateway Classic Cars and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com which includes 100+ HD photos and HD video. To see the car in person, it can be seen at our Milwaukee Showroom located at 9949 58th Place Suite 400, Kenosha WI 53144. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is presenting a 1982 Mercedes 380SL. This Mercedes is a cool shade called Sun Yellow with what the seller calls a Biscuit interior. Powered by the smooth Mercedes six and an automatic transmission this car is a perfect blend of luxury and performance. The engine is a single overhead cam unit with two valves per cylinder and was good for around 175 HP which in a car weighing 3400 lbs. translates into respectable performance. And of course, because it is a Mercedes it is very well equipped. Air conditioning, AM FM CD, power steering and power brakes, power locks and windows make you comfortable in the leather interior. The hardtop is easily removeable and of course the convertible top goes up and down in a flash. Sunday morning drives will be a pleasure. The 380SL has almost a limo feel to it due to its S-Class lineage and that means a comfortable ride and smooth running. It will hunt hard through the curves and bends, you know theres a beefy car underneath. It is a great combination of performance and luxury. To view this 1982 Mercedes 380SL in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Detroit is proud to offer this gorgeous 1962 Mercury Meteor for sale. In 1962, Mercury marketing decided that the Monterey nameplate had better consumer recognition than the Meteor moniker as far as full-sized vehicles were concerned (despite the fact that the Meteor outsold the Monterey), and instead assigned the Meteor name to a new line of mid-sized cars based on the Ford Fairlane which, in turn, was based on a long-wheelbase version of the Ford Falcon chassis. This smaller, mid-sized Meteor filled the product gap between the full-sized Monterey and the compact, Ford Falcon-based Mercury Comet. the 1962 Meteors wore unique rear quarter panels that mimicked the Montereys jet-pod taillights. This 62 is sporting the Larger engine option with the 260 CID mill pushing power to it 2 speed Ford-O-matic transmission. The Ford-o-matic two-speed transmission was introduced in 1959. A simplified version of the Cruise-O-Matic, it combined a torque connector and a compound planetary gear set. A front unit (multiple-disc) clutch provided high gear, a front band on the clutch drum provided low gear, and a band on the rear unit internal gear drum provided reverse. This transmission was offered on Ford models Falcon, Fairlane, and Galaxie, Mercury models Comet, and Meteor and Edsel cars with differences in the torque converter, valve bodies and clutch plates to accommodate differing engine torques. This is a great cruiser that will grab attention with its subtle blue flame pin striping. This classic moves as great as it looks with responsive steering and a soft ride. This 1962 Mercury Meteor is for sale in our Detroit Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and a Full HD video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars are excited to present this handsome 1966 Ford Ranchero at our Milwaukee location. The Ford Ranchero was manufactured between 1957 and 1979. Built on a two- door station wagon platform intergrading a cab and cargo bed into the body. The original Ranchero was so successful that General Motors got into the Car/ pickup craze with the Chevrolet El Camino in 1959. Over its lifespan, the Ranchero was produced on compact, mid-sized and full -size platforms. Considered an alternative utility vehicle, the Ranchero took on a cult following for customers who had no interest in a full -size pickup truck. A following that led to 508,000 units sold during its production run. Our 1966 Ford is a great example of the third generation Ranchero. Based on the Ford Falcon platform, new revised styling gave the 1966 Ranchero a sportier new look. A heater-defroster became standard along with a premium interior package. This 1966 Ranchero comes in a sexy red paint scheme with a custom black velour interior. Accented by new mag wheels mounted on new set of raised white tires. Under the hood is a 200 cubic inch engine attached to a 3-speed column mounted manual transmission. Recent mechanical work has been done including a new manifold, master cylinder, front wheel brake cylinders. Front brake hoses, and new door weather stripping. This 1966 Ford Ranchero is ready for any weekend chores or just a relaxing day at your local car show. This 1966 Ford Ranchero is available at our Milwaukee Showroom at Gateway Classic Cars and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com which includes 100+ HD photos and HD video. Description:

We have a 1987 Mercedes 560SL for sale here in our Milwaukee location. It features silver paint and a blue interior. An all original 5.6l with a 4 speed auto transmission. The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is a grand touring car manufactured by Mercedes since 1954. The designation SL derives from the German Sportlich-Leicht, (English: Sport Lightweight). The original idea was suggested by American importer Max Hoffman, who perceived a market for a toned-down Gran Prix car tailored to affluent performance enthusiasts in the booming post-war American market, which remains the primary market for the vehicles. The SL designation was first applied to the 300 SL, often referred to as the Gullwing due to its gullwing or upward-opening doors. The term SL refers to the marketing variations of the vehicle, including the numerous engine configurations spanning six design generations. The 300 SL base model was available as standard in a 5-speed manual although very few were sold. The SOHC 6 cylinder M103 is typically considered to have handling advantages with its lighter weight engine. The 560 SL was only sold in the USA, Canada, Japan, and Australia to compensate the reduced output of the 5.0-litres due to the stricter emission laws in these markets. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1987 Mercedes 560SL in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com.
