Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this awesome 1974 Chevrolet Corvette. The 74 Corvette was the first year to see no chrome on either end. The Endura style, body matching ones, took place of the now obsolete chrome ones. Some will argue that these mid model C3’s is some of the best to be made and with the pricing on them affordable they make a terrific way to get into a classic Vette. This Red beauty is a 3-owner car with the original owner letting the second owner take it to prom when he was a teenager. The car came up for sale a brief time later so the teen, who was now a man, snatched it up. He would own the car until March 2017 when the current owner took possession. Only driven a little over 51000 miles this Vette is an extremely original and in excellent condition. The door panels were replaced and cleaned up the interior quite nicely. The seats are in unbelievable shape given the fact they over 400 years old. Pop the hood and the original, maintained engine sits perfectly in place. The car even has the original manifolds making this C3 a notable example of what these cars are. The original Th400 is backing the original small block shifting it out nicely through all 3 gears. The original rear end is still in place with the original set of gears allowing for highway cruising. With the T-Tops off and the open road ahead this C3 is guaranteed to put a smile on anyone’s face. Options on this 1974 Chevrolet Corvette include; AC, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Tilt Wheel, Power Windows, Hub Caps and Radial Tires. This 1974 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (812)294-1555 or email us at Louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

A redesigned Monte Carlo was introduced alongside other GM intermediates. Like other GM mid-size cars, the 1973 Monte Carlo was no longer a hardtop, but a pillared coupe with rear side opera windows and frameless door glass. Prominent styling features included an egg-crate grille with a Monte Carlo emblem in front and vertical taillights above the bumper. The front bumper was a large federally mandated 5 mph (8.0 km/h) bumper that was among the required 1973 federal safety standards for all passenger cars sold in the U.S. with the 5 mph (8.0 km/h) requirement extended to rear bumpers on 1974 models. Also new was a double-shell roof for improved noise reduction and rollover protection along with the flush-mounted pull-up exterior door handles first introduced on the 1970½ Camaro and 1971 full-sized Chevrolets and Vegas.

The separate body-on-frame construction carried over for 1973, as was the basic all-coil suspension. For improved ride and handling, the 1973 Monte Carlo featured a number of innovations (for a large American car) such as standard radial-ply tires, Pliacell shock absorbers, high-caster steering, and front and rear anti-roll bars (previously offered only with the SS package). The standard Monte Carlo with manual transmission retained "traditional" steering and bias-ply tires, but the radial-tuned system was included when the automatic transmission was ordered, earning the Monte Carlo S label.

A new model for 1973 was the Monte Carlo Landau, which was basically an "S" with a rear quarter Landau vinyl roof, Turbine II wheels as well as driver and passenger-side sport mirrors. The interior of the 1973 Monte Carlo featured an all-new, wraparound cockpit-style instrument panel, similar to that found in some contemporary Pontiacs, Oldsmobiles and Buicks, in which gauges and various instruments were centered within easy reach of the driver. The simulated burl elm trim was retained. A split bench seat was standard, but "Strato Bucket" seats of a new design were optional, along with a floor console featuring an equally new shifter with knob and button similar to Pontiac's Rally Sports Shifter replacing the Buick-like horseshoe shifter of previous years, and storage compartment. The bucket seats were of a one-piece high-back design with built-in headrests and could swivel almost 90 degrees to permit the driver and front passenger easier entry and exit. Cloth and vinyl trims were offered with both the bench and bucket seats.

The standard engine was a 145 (net) hp (108 kW) 350 CID (5.7 L) Turbo-Fire V8. Optional engines included a 175 (net) hp (30 kW) 350 CID V8 with a four-barrel carburetor and a four-barrel carbureted 454 CID Turbo-Jet V8 rated at 245 (net) hp (183 kW).

The 1973 Monte Carlo was named "Car of the Year" by Motor Trend on the basis of its new styling and emphasis on Euro-style ride and handling. The 1973 Monte Carlo set a new sales record for Chevrolet, with nearly 250,000 sold for the model year. The success of the Monte Carlo and Pontiac's similar Grand Prix led to several new personal luxury cars from competitors, including a revised Mercury Cougar, the Ford Gran Torino Elite, the Chrysler Cordoba, and restyled Dodge Charger as well as high-line versions of the AMC Matador that introduced a new coupe design for 1974.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is happy to be offering this mostly original 1978 Lincoln Town Car for sale in our Arizona showroom. This Town Car is one of the last TRUE Survivors! When this car was New Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind and Jaws 2 were the big Blockbusters! For years, the Lincoln Town Car has been the epitome of a car built for executives since its inception. The original Gold Poly paint still looks acceptable, but it has faded and has some road rash in places. The Ultra Velour interior is a complimentary gold color and looks comfortable, just like your living room sofa. It remains in excellent condition. The vinyl top is a pleasing contrast to the rest of the car. 1978 was Fords Diamond Anniversary (75 years) and this was the second to the last year that the Town Car was really a full sized car. Hows this for specs...127.2 wheelbase, 233 overall length, 4958 lbs with fluids and a 460-4V engine cranking out 156 HP. When driving this vintage luxury car, youll soon realize that the definition of luxury when it comes to automobiles from this era versus today is really different. This car has only had one owner and the owner claims the mileage is original, but this has not been confirmed by GCC. There are a growing number of collectors gravitating toward the luxury American cars of the 1970s, and this Lincoln fits the bill perfectly. Dont miss buying a low mile, one owner, mostly original 1978 Lincoln Town Car for sale right now in our facility. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to offer this piece of 20th Century history with this 1928 Chevrolet AB National Imperial Landau sedan for sale in our Arizona showroom. In 1928, Chevrolet had exceeded Ford in production numbers, and this classic yellow and brown two-toned sedan also features black fenders and a vinyl-like black top. A very striking color combination, to be sure. Inside, the original brown cloth upholstery looks and feels amazing for its near-century old age. This indicates the kind of care this Chevy has had throughout its life. This five passenger people mover four door was one of 54,998 built that year out of a total of over 785,000 of all models. Featuring a 171 cubic inch OHV four cylinder engine (the last year for this one) and a three speed manual transmission, this combo produced 35 HP and gave the car a top speed of almost 60 MPH. This Landau sedan was the top-of-the-line in 1928 Chevrolet closed cars, riding on a 107 wheelbase and costing $715 when it was new. Over the years, the caretakers of this well-preserved AB National have gotten it everything its ever needed, including a brake upgrade to four wheel hydraulic disc brakes behind the beautifully restored wood-spoked wheels. Everything has recently been gone over by a professional restoration shop to ensure the car is as reliable as it can be for the new owner. Come see this beautiful example of a 1928 Chevrolet AB National Imperial four door sedan for sale right now in our Scottsdale showroom. Options on this ’82 Corvette include: Air-Conditioning, AM/FM/Radio, CD Player, Glass T-Tops, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Seats, Power Windows, Tilt/Telescopic Wheel, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Anti-Theft System, Radial Tires with Raised White Letters, and Alloy Wheels. The 1982 Corvette was the last model in a long run of the C3 chassis, and was a clean break before the C4 chassis, as there was no Corvette in model year ’83. The ’82 model carried the classic design, and started integrating more and more technology until an entirely new chassis had to be designed to take full advantage of what Chevrolet had planned for the Corvette. This example is sporting the Crossfire injection system. With just 66,900 original miles, there are still plenty of roads left to be travelled on this classic Corvette. There was no expense in preserving the authenticity of this amazing Corvette. The leather on the seat was replaced, as well as carpet, Stereo, and Weather Striping just to name a few. It is refreshed and ready for another 66,000 miles ahead. Bought new in Davis, CA, the car has always led a pampered life and has always been serviced at which has allowed it get reach the mileage it has. Sporting the original gold paint with the owner-added two tone chocolate brown,it looks like it may have been ordered that way, but sharp-eyed Z-car people will know better. The black interior is all original as well, and certainly doesnt look like its over 40 years old. The owner claims the tires are brand new and the car was serviced just prior to coming in here on consignment. This little sweetheart also has the optional Datsun spoke wheels and the rear window louvers. The original window sticker still looks new. This is truly a time capsule that runs and drives remarkably well for its age and reported mileage of 178,737 (this cannot be confirmed by GCC), but considering everything is backed up with service records, its for real. The 2.8L engine is larger than its predecessor and has the reliable Bosch fuel injection system metering the fuel. It still has a full size spare, a feature that was discontinued soon afterward. Description:

For sale in our Detroit showroom is a 1980 Chevrolet Corvette. One of the last years of the C3 Corvette, which were styled after the Mako Shark II concept car, the 1980 model had a redesigned exterior that included reshaped front and rear bumpers that were more aerodynamic, which reduced drag and increased airflow. 1980 was also the last year that Corvettes were made in St. Louis, before production was moved the Bowling Green plant in mid-1981. Under the hood is a very potent L48 350 cubic-inch V8 that produces roughly 200 horsepower, paired with an automatic transmission. The entire drivetrain only has just under 76,000 original miles on it. The exterior is painted a bright shade of Yellow that really shines in the sunlight, and the Black leather bucket seats complete the classic look! With newer shocks and other suspension parts, this Vette rides smooth, and if you pop the t-tops out on cool day, every minute behind the wheel will be an exhilarating and fun experience! Options on this car include: A/C, AM/FM radio with CD player, t-tops, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power windows, tilt/telescopic wheel, seat belts, leather interior, and raised white-letter radial tires wrapped around aluminum/alloy wheels. Located in our Detroit showroom, this 1980 Chevrolet Corvette can be seen in greater detail, including HD photos and video, at www.GatewayClassicCars.com, or call (313)-982-3100 for more information.

Description:

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this classy 1983 GMC Caballero. It’s often forgotten that GMC made their own version of the well-known El Camino made by Chevrolet. The vehicle was originally names the GMC Sprint but that was changed back in ’78 to the Caballero and it remained in production until 1987. This Caballero is powered by a strong running 350 CID V8 that will push you down the road with ease. The engine is mated to a 3-speed Automatic transmission which both were rebuilt roughly 11 years ago. It may be an older rebuild however the car has only been driven an estimated 5,000 miles since the rebuild, meaning there is plenty of life left in this beauty. The true key to this classic is that it’s a 1 owner car with a clean Carfax. The car is painted in a sleek black and silver color combo that shows very well. The car also features a very nice spray-in bed liner to make for a nice work vehicle if it’s ever needed. This Caballero has all the benefits of both a car and a truck all in one. It’s light weight, fast and looks great while at the same time can be used for a quick trip to Home Depot or Lowes. Taking a seat behind the wheel you will find a matching black on silver color combination making this car truly show worthy. You may notice the empty space for a stereo, but this is simply due to the owner enjoying the sound of the car more. When driving a classic that’s all that there should be, you, the car, and the road. No need to worry because the A/C was left in place and blows nice and cold for those hot summer days. For even more information on this 1983 GMC Caballero located in our Houston showroom come by and see us or contact the showroom at (832)243-6220 or email the showroom at Houston@GatewayClassicCars.com

Now available for sale in our Milwaukee Showroom is this 1972 Ford Mustang. The 1972 Ford Mustangs changed very little from the 1971 models, except the Boss 351 did not return for a second year. Outside of red/white and blue color schemes, the only obvious difference was the Mustang name on the rear was now smaller and on the right side, instead of across the center. This 1972 Mustang, powered by a 250 cid Stright 6 engine with automatic transmission with less than 56,000 actual miles, is coated in a beautiful red, and has a red and white interior. The convertible top is new, along with the brakes, suspension and shocks, exhaust, tires, gas tank, cooling system and hoses, carpeting and antenna. With all that being done, this vehicle is ready to hit the road and take someone for an awesome cruise. Will that be you? Description:

For sale in our Houston showroom is a classic 1968 Ford Mustang. If you love old cars you will know the Mustang story and it is quite a charming one. By the early 1960s there was quite a bit of competition amongst brands and the need for a Pony car was becoming a reality pretty quickly. After concepts were received well the Mustang was launched on April 17, 1964 and dubbed the 1964 1/2 amongst Mustang followers. The little cars with a choice of a 6 cylinder or V8 engine took off and became an instant success to compete with vehicles like the Chevrolet Camaro, Plymouth Barracuda and Pontiac Firebird. By 1968 the Mustang had received a minor facelift but still featured that domineering front end, side scoop and classic tri-lens taillights that made this one of the most iconic American cars ever. The option of engines as well as some creature comforts made this a versatile vehicle that could be made as a performer or just a comfortable personal car. This example features the 200 Cubic Inch Inline 6 cylinder that delivered smooth power while still providing a smooth and comfortable drive. The automatic transmission shifts very nice and makes driving this classic very fun and easy. The exterior of this car features a clean green paint with an all original & clean interior which features excellent condition leather seats, custom digital Stereo with aftermarket speakers. The exterior paint & original wheels look fantastic and shine very nice. This car has had a great deal of care and maintenance over the years to preserve its good looks and reliability. If you have been looking for a reliable cruiser that will provide years of loving service this one deserves a second glance. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1976 Jeep CJ5. The CJ5 was introduced in 1954 as a 55 model by Kaiser which was sold to AMC in 1970. The 76 models are one of the most sought after due to the revised and strengthened frame design. This 76 CJ needed that extra support with the small block 350 under the hood putting out a ton more power than the original engine. The 4-barrel carb feeds this monster plenty of fuel giving it a completely different driving experience over stock. The chromed headers take care of the exhaust gases and look good doing it. Mated up to a 3-speed manual transmission this Jeep is a blast to drive. The chrome roll bar is a great custom touch and shows nice while setting it apart from the crowd. The Soft top by Bestop are known for there quality and longevity. The bimini top is also available and gives you some protection while still having that open-air feel. The interior is different than your typical Jeep with the cloth being something typically not seen in these vehicles. The back has custom side pieces giving it a great finished look with rear set having a lockable trunk underneath allowing for stowage of any valuables. The stance of the jeep is courtesy of the brand-new shocks that were just installed increasing the height and ride quality tremendously. The 31-inch tires are in terrific condition and have a very versatile tread pattern. With the brand-new steering stabilizer installed at the same time this CJ is extremely road worthy. Upfront the WARN winch is there just in case you get in any trouble while tackling the trails while that LED lightbar ensures daytime lighting in the middle of the night. If you have been wanting to get into one of these CJ series Jeeps but want something just a little different this one is a great candidate. Options on this 1976 Jeep CJ5 include, Seat Belts, AM/FM/CD, Cloth Interior, and Aluminum Wheels with Radial Tires.
