Description:

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a rarely seen Corvette Yellow 1978 Chevrolet Corvette. I say rarely seen because the Corvette Yellow was the least produced color in 1978 at 1,243 units. Compare that to 6,502 of the Indy Pace Car black and silver combination and over 15,000 of the two-tone silver anniversary color combination and package. The Corvette Yellow paint is mostly original, there were areas repainted as part of a warranty claim shortly after its purchase that was performed in 1978. Being 40 years old, the paint does show some age, but the body lines and panels all look very good. The original dark brown leather has also aged very well, with only minor signs of wear over the years. Powering this 3-owner 1978 Corvette is the original 350 CID L48 engine. A few parts were replaced along the way, but great effort was taken to maintain originality, including having the carburetor sent off to be refurbished instead of buying a new one. Also, the valve covers were not painted, in order to preserve the markings made by the assembly line worker the day it was produced. The TH-350 automatic transmission is original to the car and shifts the power down the line beautifully. The odometer reads 48,153, which represents the actual mileage on the car. Options for this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Power Windows, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Leather Interior, Tilt/Telescopic Steering Wheel, T-Tops, Seat Belts, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. This is a great example of a surviving 78’ Corvette in a rare color that drives wonderfully. To view this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis showroom. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is thrilled to present this blast-from-the-past 1985 Porsche 944 in our Arizona showroom, located in North Phoenix. These 944’s were the successor of the famous 924 and all the rage in the 80’s. Indeed, these cars are still sought after by Porsche enthusiasts the world over. Of course, Porsche is still most well-recognized for their air-cooled, rear-engined cars but this 944 has a front-engine 2.5l 4 cylinder tied to a fun-loving 5-speed manual transmission that will provide endless entertainment on quiet, country roads. Our Porsche 944 for sale comes in an eye-catching Cherry Red exterior paintjob with a Black leather interior which will remind you that you are in a high-end car built in Germany that cost the equivalent of $50,000 in today’s dollars when it was on showroom floors in 1985. This low-mileage Porsche (just over 42,000 actual, according to the seller) will create a lot of memories for its next loving owner. This 1985 Porsche 944 for sale right now includes the following options: Air Conditioning, Targa-Top (1 piece removable hardtop), Power Seats, Power Sunroof, Anti-Lock Brakes, Aftermarket LED Headlights and my personal favorite the neon lights that the seller has installed under the car, which are sure to light up any car show. You will love pumping your favorite tunes in this German coupe with the aftermarket Pioneer Stereo system installed in the dash linked up to the booming two 12” Infinity subwoofers in the trunk. Description:

Now up for grabs at Gateway Classic Cars in our Houston location is this very rare 1972 Mercedes Benz 350sl. 1971 marked the beginning of the now famous and highly sought after R107 chassis 2-seat convertible roadster. This line of the model started as 350SL coupes in 1971 with a 3.5L V8, but in 1972 they upgraded to the much more powerful and reliable 4.5L V8 but this is where this cars rarity comes into play, only for 72’ was the car denoted as a 350SL but was outfitted with the larger 4.5L V8. In 1973 they shifted the name to 450SL to fall in line with the engine liter size, just as they do today in their new cars. Since it was a new model to the brand at the time the production numbers weren’t that high thus adding to these early models appreciation value. There are not many on the market for sale in this condition as many suffer from rust issues. The car is outfitted with a strong running 4.5L V8 that utilizes the reliable Bosch D Jetronic fuel injection electronic engine management system. With less than 115k actual miles on the car the power plant has plenty of life in her. The V8 is paired to a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic transmission that provides enough acceleration power but also gives a nice driving experience that the SL line is so well known for. The drive train seems solid from front to back and the car is fun to drive. Looking at the car drive by you’ll be drawn in by the very recent & refreshed new paint job. It was repainted back to its original color and it came out very well. The body panels are appear to be original to the car. The doors open & close with ease and the body panel gaps align & are even. Of course, this is almost a 50-year-old car that is mostly original. It isn’t a concourse car, but still shows well. The light lenses & their houses are in a great shape with no cracks. The grill, bumpers, & emblems are in very nice condition. Stepping into the driver’s seat you will find a very nice saddle colored interior that looks great & has been partially refreshed with new seats. The door panels, carpet, rear deck area, headliner, & dash are in superb condition for 46 years old. The owner was going to update the center console vent controls with a later model, but wanted to keep the car original in case the new owner would prefer that. The seats are very comfortable and soft to the touch. The interior just allows you to slip in and enjoy your time cruising around town. While you are zooming around the city the owner installed an aftermarket radio & speakers. The convertible top is new and operates with ease. The top is in very nice condition with no tears or rips, the plastic in the back is clear and generally looks great against the black body & saddle colored interior. The car has been well maintained and garage kept for most of its life. There has been several updated and replaced items on the car. Looking at the engine bay you will see a very clean and tidy area that has many items in very new & nice condition. Coolant hoses, brake master cylinder, spark plug wires & ignition parts, fuel pump, exhaust, & many other noticeable items have been maintained/serviced. The car is rust free and will only go up in value as these classic Mercedes SL’s become rarer every day. Don’t miss your chance to get a piece of history and call us with an offer today! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to welcome a very nice 1994 Chevrolet Corvette to the Philadelphia Showroom. This car is finished in white with a black interior. The owner has had the car for 17 years and driven it 40,000 miles over those years. Always garaged and serviced regularly it is in excellent condition. There were no exterior changes to the 94 Vette. Inside, a passenger-side airbag and knee bolster were made standard, complying with the second phase of the federal government’s “passive restraint” safety requirements. Leather seats were made standard, and were available in base and “sport” versions. Less-restrictive bolsters were now included to accommodate larger passengers and to facilitate entry and exit. Also new was a redesigned two-spoke steering wheel that, to most reviewers, was a functional step down from the one it. A one-touch “express down” driver’s side power window was likewise added for ‘94, and new dashboard instrumentation now changed colors from white to tangerine at night. Also, the car’s air-conditioning system now used an environmentally friendly refrigerant, R-134a, instead of the ozone-layer-unfriendly R-12 Freon. What’s more, rear windows on convertibles were now made of glass instead of plastic and came standard with a defogger. Surprisingly, 1994 Corvette sales rose to 23,330 despite few noteworthy changes and a modest price increase to $36,185. Nicely equipped with power windows, power locks, keyless entry, leather interior, stereo and cruise and tilt. This Corvette is one that you want to check out. To view this 1994 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. Description:

For sale in our Nashville showroom is a beautiful 1959 Ford Fairlane. A mid-year model crossover, the 59 Fords were quite the mixed bag of badging. At various shows youll often find patrons arguing whether its a Fairlane, Fairlane 500, Galaxie, or Galaxie 500. Truth be known, they were actually all one in the same. Taking on the bigger and boatier lines of the Thunderbird, the Galaxies truly took on big bodied form, superseding the Ford Fairlanes. Continuing the Fairlanes roll as Fords full-sized sedan, they had various options in various trims. This particular Fairlane being a two-door, still has a sporty feel, while maintaining the room needed for a family. This particular 59 Ford for sale left the factory with a 200 horsepower 292 Y-block engine. Its since been replaced with the more modern 5.0 liter (302 cubic inch) small block Ford V8. With performance goodies like headers and dual exhaust, this small block Ford rumbles and pushes this 1959 Ford Fairlane for sale along with ease. Backing the small block Ford is an automatic transmission. Built for easy cruising, this 1959 Ford for sale is eager to take a trip down to local show or drive in movie! The exterior is a mild custom, with a two-tone black and silver paint scheme. With fins and chrome like the epitome of any late 50s cruiser, this Fairlane for sale has looks for days! With black painted steelies adorned with baby moons and beauty rings, wrapped in Goodyear radial tires, this car has a real 50s hot rod look. The interior is no different, with silver and gray vinyl interior. With benches both front and back, this car has plenty of room for you and a group of your friends and family. Its a real drive-in special. A $237.37 document fee will be added to the sales price. All purchases may be subject to any applicable tax, title, & licensing fees. We are excited to offer in our St. Louis showroom this beautiful look and smooth running British Racing Green 1989 Jaguar XJS Convertible. This one is priced to sell and ready to drive! This Jag is a bit different from your usual XJS, in that it is powered by a recently rebuilt Chevrolet 350 V8, rather than the stock Jaguar I6 or V12 Engine. The professional rebuild was done by Baldwin Racing in Missorri in 2018 and features an oversized cam and has been freshened up with new plugs and wires. It only has 200 miles since the rebuild and is under a two-year warranty. Backing this small block Chevrolet engine is a TH-350 automatic transmission, which means this 1989 Jaguar is sure to get you where you are going and get you there in style. Clad in the classic British Racing Green, this is a wonderful example of British style that Jaguar is known for. This 1989 XJS is completed by a tan, automatic soft top that just solidifies that old British look. The interior matches the top, with tan leather seats and tan carpeting and wood inserts that make it comfortable and pleasant to cruise down the road in, while maintaining the poise that Britain is known for. While in this 1989 Jaguar you can cruise with the top down, this Jaguar XJS is a great ride for driving around town or down the highway in a beautiful classic. Description:

1965 Volvo PV544 Sport for sale! Motorcar Classics is pleased to present this 1965 Volvo PV544 Sport featured in light blue with a blue interior. The PV series started in 1944 and remained relatively unchanged until 1966. About 440,000 cars were built over the 22 year production run, this example was built near the end and features the high horsepower B18D motor plus other improvements. The PV544 was incredibly sturdy and reliable, and it earned a good reputation in competition. The B18 motor responds well to tuning and our car has been upgraded with twin Dellorto carbs in place of the stock SUs, and it benefits from many IPD components. The front brakes have been upgraded from the standard drums to disc brakes and a Laycock electric overdrive has been fitted which operates on 4th gear and gives the benefit of relaxed cruising at lower RPM at highway speeds. The car is running VTO rally wheels in the classic Mini-Lite style with 205/50 R15 tires. On the inside you will find a pair of Recaro sports seats with electric heat and a custom three-spoke steering wheel. The original steering wheel is included. The car is otherwise in very good condition. We are quite fond of the PV544. It's styling was derived from the mid-40's Ford line and continued to sell well into the 60's. Parts are readily available and these cars are simple to maintain. This example is great fun to drive and will attract attention everywhere you go.
