Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to list this sleek 1986 Ford Mustang SVO. This red beauty has only 74k miles on its original numbers matching 2.3 liter turbo engine and 5 speed manual transmission. During the oil crisis of the 1970s, many muscle cars made drastic changes that have influenced some of the smaller engine yet high HP cars on the road today. Still ultimately concerned with issues such as fuel consumption and emissions, SVO engineers opted to pass over the venerable production 5.0 liter V-8 in lieu of an updated, turbocharged, and stronger version of Fords 2.3 liter inline four, originally used in the Pinto and Ford Mustang II. The installation of the four-cylinder engine helped with weight distribution, due to the engine being installed perpendicular to, and behind, the front axle, thereby improving handling. Endowing the engine with an advanced, computer-controlled fuel injection system and an intercooled turbocharger system helped push power output to 175 horsepower, fairly high for the time. In addition, a fuel grade switch was added to the dash, allowing the driver to adjust the vehicles performance level depending on whether premium or standard grade fuel were being used, as the engine was not installed with a knock sensor. A factory-installed Hurst shifter was made standard to improve feel and quickness. With fine tuning and the addition of a new water-cooling system, power output rose to 200 horsepower (149 kW) for 1986 (205 horsepower (153 kW) for 439 85.5 SVOs). Also, the 1986 SVO had new aero headlights. These headlights were designed for the 1984 model, but regulations would not allow them to be used until the mid-1985 update. The vehicles standard Borg-Warner five-speed manual transmission was updated then, as well, receiving revised gearing to match the new 3:73 rear end ratio. This 86 has been repainted in single stage DuPont Red paint to keep it in show condition. It has also had new tires, battery, radiator and even a 3 down pipe exhaust installed. This car has been maintained so the next owner could simply hop in and turn the key with ease. This car is a 3 owner and has been with he current owner for the last 15 years. Options on this SVO include; Air conditioning, sunroof, power brakes and steering, power locks and windows, tilt wheel, and even leather interior. What an awesome car! This 1986 Ford Mustang SVO is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information, please call our knowledgeable staff at (813)645-6200 or email us at Tampa@GatewayClassicCars.com. For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is this super nice 1984 Porsche 944. If you are looking for an extreme clean and beautiful example of a 944 stop looking. This beauty just rolled into our South Florida showroom and we are excited to have it with us. The car is just broken in with a little over 85k original miles. You are looking at a one owner Porsche that was garage kept her whole life in beautiful California until she was recently relocated to sunny Florida to the new owner. The 944 Porsches are still undervalued, and it is extremely hard to find the real good ones. This one is probably one of the nicest in the country. The exterior presents itself in excellent condition. You will have a tuff time to find any wear or tear. The black wheels are a great match to the golden paint. Open the door and see a super clean interior. No weird smells and you will immediately see that she was pampered her whole life. The seats look like the Porsche was only driven a couple of test miles. In the rear you will find the 2.5L engine that moves the 944 to the front. In connection with the 5 speed-manual transmission this car out of Stuttgart is lots of fun. With many options she is ready to go the extra mile with comfort. To make sure she is ready for the third owner the car was completely serviced recently. But the best about this car is that she is solid as a rock. We all know about the California dry weather. There is not one area where a magnet wont stick and if you peak underneath the car you will get back up with a smile on your face. This is a must see. Please dont hesitate to contact us with any questions. Let it ride!!! To see 100+ HD pictures and a video of this 1984 Porsche 944, please visit gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Our Atlanta showroom is selling this 25th Anniversary 1978 Chevrolet Corvette! The seller states this as a 2-owner survivor with 80,601 miles registering on the odometer. The last caretaker owned her for the last 25 years before letting her go. The Anniversary Vettes introduced many styling upgrades that would continue to the end of C3 production, including the deep chin spoiler, the fastback roofline, and ducktail spoiler, and many would consider this the pinnacle of style. The two-tone silver paint on the exterior looks to be original just as the interior is! If you ask me one of the best features these cars had is the T-tops roof! These seal just as tight as the day they were new to keep any inclement weather out but can also be removed in a jiffy to allow the sunshine in and the wind to blow through your hair as you cruise down the road. Under the hood youll find the original 350 cubic inch V8 which is rated at 185 horsepower. Backing the engine is a 3-speed automatic transmission. While sitting behind the seat you are welcomed by the factory dash and gauge cluster sure to transport you back to the days when these cars ruled the road. Oyster color leather bucket seats keep you and any passenger comfortable no matter what your driving style. Radial tires and alloy wheels add to the sporty looks of the exterior while keeping to the original great looks of this car. Options include; power brakes, power steering, a/c, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, cruise control, am/fm/cassette, power windows, and factory aluminum wheels. You can view this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is pleased to offer this 2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. This Silver with Black 35th Anniversary Z28 Convertible is in excellent condition with only 35,000 miles. The interior and the top show very little wear and the 5.7-liter engine and automatic transmission are as smooth as ever. These Camaros were the last and most evolved models that General Motors produced. They were the most aerodynamic model that had been produced up to that time. They would mark the end of the evolution of the styling of the Camaro. The next major change would be the return to retro. The car is very well equipped. The usual power windows, locks and stereo are there. Power seats, airbags, cruise and tilt as well. The chrome wheels and cloth convertible top give this Camaro a sporty elegance that you will love. All the maintenance is up to date and the car has recently been updated with new slotted rotors and ceramic pads. To view this 2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to present this 1993 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM for sale in our Arizona showroom. With the end of the Trans Am in 2002 these cars are getting harder and harder to find in a good condition; however, we are happy to have this low mileage, well cared for Trans Am in our showroom. This sweet ride has less than 54,200 miles on her and is in really good shape. Under the hood is the GM LT1 350 CID V8. This fuel injected 5.7L was the same motor used in the Camaro and Corvette of the same year. This GM power plant was notorious for putting down a power while remaining a very reliable engine. Tied to the power plant is a THM 4L60 four speed automatic transmission which was later replaced by the 4L60e transmission. The rear gear ration on this car is 3.23 which is a good freeway gear without losing too much off the line. The Trans Am has seat belts, antilock brakes, FM/AM radio, cloth interior, driver airbag, power brakes, power steering, power windows, tilt wheel and is numbers matching. The is a one owner car, bought new from the dealer back in 93. These cars are a blast, that is why they are hard to find with low mileage because they are too much fun to drive. It is hard driving another car knowing this beauty is ready to hit the road with power, reliability and pretty good handling for a muscle car. Give our helpful and knowledgeable Sales team a call at (623) 900-4884 for more information on this 1993 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am or any of our other inventory for sale. Alternatively, we will always be quick to respond to any email inquiries sent to scottsdale@gatewayclassiccars.com See more photos and a video at: http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/SCT/432/1993-Pontiac-Firebird-Trans-AM

BACKGROUND: The Ford Mustang is an American car manufactured by Ford. It was originally based on the platform of the second generation North American Ford Falcon, a compact car. Pushing this couch on wheels down the road is a 460 V8 that glides and runs strong. The stout C6 3-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly through the gears. The exhaust note is subtle at low RPM, but with a little throttle it has a nice rumbly sound to it. The exterior is Yellow with Cream vinyl top, and matching leather interior. The overall condition of the interior, and trunk are also very good, with just the antenna, and clock being the only items not functioning at this time. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is super excited to offer for sale a great piece of American History. This 1931 Model A Phaeton Ford Replica was built in 1967 by Glassic Motor Company. They took the classic design of the Model A and made it into a fiberglass replica with the reliability of a more modern engine. The car was original purchased by Former Vice President and United States Senator Hubert H. Humphrey. He used this car in many parades and public appearances that he made during his political career. Around 2006 his family donated the car to Courage Center a non-profit Physical rehab facility in Golden Valley Minnesota, Mr. Humphreys home state. From here the car was auctioned off for charity and bought and sent to Vermont. Where it stayed until 2015 when it was sold to the now current owner in Illinois. This fiberglass replica is powered by straight 4 International scout engine paired to a 3 speed manual transmission. It sports the factory red and black paint with a clean Black and white leather interior. The white convertible top was recently replaced and is in good condition. The rear has an added luggage case for extra storage. It has working blinkers and headlights and is ready to stroll down the road as a wonderful piece of history!
