Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is offering this 1980 Triumph TR8 Convertible at our Atlanta Showroom. The consignor states her to be a 3-4 owner car, that sat in storage for 15-years, repainted at some point, and shows just 47,385-miles on the clock. This survivor is painted in the factory Gold, with Brown top, and a Saddle / Plaid cloth/vinyl interior. Boy those late ‘70s styles, you are brought right-back! History states - in Wikipedia, TR8 coupes are based on the original Harris Mann TR7 design made from 1978 to 1980 and are quite rare; it is estimated that only about 400 TR8 coupes ever existed—this number from records kept by members of the North America-based wedge club, and the Triumph Wedge Owners Association. The engine itself was derived from an early 1960s Buick/Oldsmobile all-aluminium V8 215 cu in (3.52 L) that Rover acquired from General Motors in the mid-60s. The engine is equipped with an Edlebrock aluminum intake, and a Holley 4-barrel carb. This fine example shows very well, and appears to have been well maintained. This 1980 TR8 is optioned with; power steering, power brakes, a/c, cloth/vinyl interior, am/fm/cass, alloy wheels. Will these low production cars become valuable? Are you willing to gamble? If youre interested - dont wait - we dont expect her to last long! Located in our Atlanta Showroom, this 1980 Triumph TR8 Convertible can be seen in person, or online including HD pictures and videos at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to list this sharp 1986 Ford Mustang SVO. This red beauty has only 74k miles on its original numbers matching 2.3 liter turbo engine and 5 speed manual transmission. During the oil crisis of the 1970’s, many muscle cars made drastic changes that have influenced some of the smaller engine yet high HP cars on the road today. Still ultimately concerned with issues such as fuel consumption and emissions, SVO engineers opted to pass over the venerable production 5.0 liter V-8 in lieu of an updated, turbocharged, and stronger version of Fords 2.3 liter inline four, originally used in the Pinto and Ford Mustang II. The installation of the four-cylinder engine helped with weight distribution, due to the engine being installed perpendicular to, and behind, the front axle, thereby improving handling. Endowing the engine with an advanced, computer-controlled fuel injection system and an intercooled turbocharger system helped push power output to 175 horsepower, fairly high for the time. In addition, a fuel grade switch was added to the dash, allowing the driver to adjust the vehicles performance level depending on whether premium or standard grade fuel were being used, as the engine was not installed with a knock sensor. A factory-installed Hurst shifter was made standard to improve feel and quickness. With fine tuning and the addition of a new water-cooling system, power output rose to 200 horsepower (149 kW) for 1986 (205 horsepower (153 kW) for 439 85.5 SVOs). Also, the 1986 SVO had new aero headlights. These headlights were designed for the 1984 model, but regulations would not allow them to be used until the mid-1985 update. The vehicles standard Borg-Warner five-speed manual transmission was updated then, as well, receiving revised gearing to match the new 3:73 rear end ratio. This ’86 has been repainted in single stage Dupont Red paint to keep it in show condition. It has also had new tires, battery, radiator and even a 3’ down pipe exhaust installed. This car has been maintained so the next owner could simply hop in and turn the key with ease. This car is a 3 owner and has been with he current owner for the last 15 years. Options on this SVO include; Air conditioning, sunroof, power brakes and steering, power locks and windows, tilt wheel, and even leather interior. What an awesome car! This 1986 Ford Mustang SVO is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is excited to offer this sharp 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger. This car has its original numbers matching engine, transmission, rear end and gearing. The Dodge Dart is an automobile originally built by Dodge from 1960 to 1976 in North America, with production extended to later years in various other markets. The Dart name originally appeared on a 1957 show car featuring a body designed by the Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Ghia. The production Dart was introduced as a lower-priced, shorter wheelbase, full-size Dodge in 1960 and 1961, became a mid-size car for 1962, and finally was a compact from 1963 to 1976. In 1974, the US federal 5 mph bumper impact standards were expanded to cover rear bumpers as well as front ones, and as a result the Swinger and Dart sedans rear bumpers grew much more massive. Taillights larger than the previous years items were set above the rear bumper, rather than within it. Shoulder and lap belts were finally combined in all Chrysler products into a retractable, inertia-sensitive, single-buckle design Chrysler called Unibelt, replacing the difficult-to-use separate lap and shoulder belts that had been installed through 1973. The Arab oil embargo of 1973, increased sales of smaller cars in the U.S. Dodge introduced the Dart SE (Special Edition) in mid-1974 as a four-door sedan and two-door hardtop. The SE included velour high back bucket seats with folding armrest, carpeted door panels, woodgrain instrument panel and deluxe wheel covers along with a TorqueFlite automatic transmission as standard equipment. The SE came equipped with the Quiet Car package introduced in 1973. The air conditioning system available on all Darts had increased capacity, quicker cooldown and lower minimum temperatures. An evaporator pressure regulator valve, long used on larger Chrysler products, varied the compressors capacity without cycling the clutch. The Dart Sport 340 was replaced by the Dart Sport 360 245 Bhp. as the 360 cu in (5.9 L) V8 engine replaced the 340 cu in (5.6 L) engine discontinued after 1973. This 360 V8 engine has about 115k actual miles and still runs and drives top notch. Painted in a dark orange with black hood scoops and rear stripe, this car is a true head turner. The black vinyl interior is in great condition along with the dash and headliner. Options on this Dart include; A/C, AM radio with upgraded speakers, power brakes and steering, vinyl interior, Weld Racing wheels, and radial tires.Do not miss out on this beauty! Description:

For sale in our Atlanta Showroom is this 1984 Porsche 944. Porsche introduced the 944 for 1982. It was slightly faster and was better equipped and more refined than the 924; it had better handling and stopping power, and was more comfortable to drive. The factory-claimed top speed of 130 mph, Autocar verified a top speed of 137. The car had nearly even front to rear weight distribution (50.7% front/49.3% rear) thanks to the rear transaxle balancing out the engine in the front. This make it not only on the best handling cars on the road, but also gives you confidence to drive how you want. It is a pleasure for us to represent a car like this Porsche, This 944 has 76,337 actual miles and is a one owner and has a clean car fax of course, but also has the service records to show how well maintained it has been over its life time. This car was sought after by a couple of Porsche dealers to put in their showroom because it is the best example of a clean and original 944 they had ever witnessed. The all original 4 cylinder has plenty of life left because of the incredible amount of maintenance put into the car over the years. Going through the 5-speed transmission shows the reason Porsche has owned the racing world for generations. The black leather interior sits you into a comfortable but sporty arrangement for driving. If you want to experience a 944 you can count on, this is the one. Options include: AC, AM/FM radio, Cassette, Power sunroof, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, seat belts, leather interior, anti-theft system, alloy wheels. To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

See this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette L-71 on display in our Dallas showroom. As documented in the original tank sticker, this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette coupe left the factory finished in Silver Pearl with a Black vinyl interior. Always owned by true enthusiasts, it was refinished early in its life as it is now in Rally Red with a Black Stinger, and was repainted in the same color once again in the early Nineties. this magnificent big block Stingray, which carries its original motor and drivetrain, now shows just 24,770 actual miles and remains in Near perfect overall condition. For many Corvette lovers this is the ultimate version of Americas Sports Car, a Red big block coupe loaded with options, chief among which is the hairiest driveline ever found in a roadgoing example to that time, the cars born with 427/435 HP Tri Power V-8, Muncie M21 close ratio 4-speed and a flexible 3.70 Positraction rear end to take full advantage of the 427s incredible torque. Transistorized ignition, power steering and 4-wheel power disc brakes fill out the mechanical side of the ledger, and original factory bolt-on finned aluminum wheels, Redline tires and factory side exhaust add to the cars visceral visual appeal. Also equipped with headrests, Teakwood steering wheel on a tilt column, Soft Ray tinted glass, AM/FM radio and power windows, this well-equipped mid-year classics documentation includes the original warranty books. This Corvette is powered by a numbers matching L71 427 big block with 435 horsepower! The L71 gave you 11.1 compression, a high lift solid lifter camshaft and three two barrel carburetors. This engine had the highest horsepower rating you could order in 1967 and remained the highest available until the Z06 debuted in 2006. There were other engines options that were more powerful like the infamous L-88, but that was for the most part a store bought race car and was rated at 430 horsepower to try and deter the unaware as they were nasty machines that needed a lot of careful attention behind the wheel. With the L-71 rated at 435 and less expensive than the L-88, that was the box to check. This is a must have that is optioned very well! This will make for one proud owner! What could be better than a high compression, solid lifter Big Block with a 4-speed and side pipes! Description:

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a Sky Blue over White 1974 Chevrolet Cheyenne C10. The paint has been resprayed and the carpets have been replaced, everything else on the truck is believed to be original to the truck from the day it rolled off the assembly line. The Sky Blue and White exterior paint was professionally applied, we do not know exactly when, but it does look fantastic, and shines beautifully. The blue cloth bench seat has little to no wear, it has been very well kept over the years. The wood grain trim on the door panels and dash also looks almost new and accents the theme very well. A white vinyl bed cover has been installed and provides a great finishing touch to the sky blue and white color combination. This Cheyenne 10 features a small tool box at the bottom of the truck bed where you keep your valuables under lock and key. The odometer reads 57,370, which is believed to be the original mileage on the truck. Options for this 1974 Chevrolet C10 include: AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Air Conditioning (inoperable), Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Tilt Wheel, Cloth Interior, Radial Tires, Crager Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. Chevrolets third generation C/K Series ran from 1973 to 1987 and sported an all new design. Officially known as the Rounded-Line generation, the third generation looked like nothing else on the road at the time of its debut. The rounded lines included rounded cab roof, sloped rounded doors, rounded windshield corners, rounded front fenders, and rounded bed corners which made possible the rounded taillights. The rounded design was incorporated in an effort to improve aerodynamics and to improve fuel efficiency. Also known as the Square Body design, oddly enough, although not an official nickname since it did not originate from General Motors. This 74’ C10 would make for a great shop truck for a local business, or a nice cruiser for a collector who has always wanted a 3rd generation Chevrolet pickup. To view this 1974 Chevrolet Cheyenne C10 in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis Showroom. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present this 2002 Porsche Boxster S for sale in our Indianapolis showroom. With just 30,215 miles on the odometer, this 3.2 liter 6 speed Porsche has miles and miles of driving pleasure to be enjoyed. The 2002 Boxster S develops 260 hp at 6200 rpm and torque is rated at 229 lbs-ft at 4600 rpm from a 3.2-liter flat-6 driving through a six speed manual transmission. The differences in suspension between a regular model and the S are that the latter has stiffer springs (by 25 percent at the front, 23 percent in the rear), retuned shock-absorber damping, longer rear lower control arms and larger wheel bearings -- all to improve stability during high-speed cornering. The really strong suit of this two-seater is its chassis balance. Every ounce of power gets applied, and the lateral stick really challenges your neck muscles. On winding two-lane backroads, the S rack-and-pinion slices and dices with razor-sharp response, a tacked-to-the-tarmac feel, and no on-center lag. If tire bite diminishes on a rough patch, you instantly know about it and can respond before the chassis does anything silly and costly. The ride is quite good for a lightweight two-seater. Only rarely does a really nasty expansion joint or a particularly deep pothole elicit anything more than a subdued thud and a polite wheel waggle. Simply beautiful, terrifically fun, and remarkably civilized in day-to-day driving, the Boxster S makes instant fans out of new drivers. If you’re looking for a two seat sportscar, look no further. To view this 2002 Porsche Boxster S, please visit our site at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call 317-688-1100, or email us at indy@gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Now available in our Dallas Showroom is this 1972 Ford Mustang. The 1972 Ford Mustangs changed very little from the 1971 models, except the Boss 351 did not return for a second year. Outside of red/white and blue color schemes, the only obvious difference was the Mustang name on the rear was now smaller and on the right side, instead of across the center. This 1972 Mustang began life as a Grande version, but has been converted over time. It is powered by a strong number’s matching 351 Cleveland with an FMX Auto transmission. The engine has been rebuilt, which the owner added a new intake and carburetor at this time. It has only approximately 2,500 miles since the rebuild. Other things updated by the owner include: Petronics electronic ignition installed with a new grab a track front suspension kit and steering kit. Also new is the following: -brake lines, rotors, calipers-on front, drum-lines, headliner, carpet, dash-pads, deluxe door panels, shock absorbers, classic air conditioning system, radiator, belt, hoses, chrome-front and rear bumpers, windshield trim, mustang badges, door weather stripping & trunk seal. With all that being done, this vehicle is ready to hit the road and take someone for an awesome cruise. Will that be you?
