Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Dallas is proud to present a Fully Frame off restored award show winning 1941 Mercury Eight 19A Convertible. Just two years after its debut, Mercury was doing its job as the bridge between the entry-level Ford and the upper crust Lincoln-Zephyr. Finished in a Striking Silver, the droptops paint and trim are in overall very good order. The Black, folding canvas top is in very good shape, the engine bay is tidy, the cargo area with the full-size spare tire is in very good order and the chrome bumpers look great. the car has a drivers side spotlight. This convertible rolls on wide whitewall tires topped with factory wheel covers. The tires and wheel covers are in overall very good order. Under the hood is Mercurys 239 CID Flathead V-8 with original running gear, Backing up this motor are a three-speed manual transmission and a 3.54:1 rear end. Inside is red seats with white trim are in overall great condition, as is the carpet and white, two-spoke steering wheel. The metal instrument panel and inner door liners are in order. The factory AM radio at the top of the dash accents the interior well and has been internally upgraded to AM and FM with a better speaker. The 1941 Mercury Eight got all-new styling and some engineering improvements. The Mercury now shared its bodyshell with Ford, probably to lower Mercury production costs. Mercurys wheelbase was expanded by two to 118 inches. There were many chassis refinements, including improved spring lengths, rates, and deflections, plus changes in shackling, shocks, and an improved stabilizer bar, but the old-fashioned transverse springs were still used. The new body featured door bottoms that flared out over the running boards, allowing for wider seats and interiors. The car had two inches more headroom, two-piece front fenders (three-piece at first), and more glass area. The front pillars were made slimmer and the windshield was widened, deepened, and angled more steeply. Parking lights were separate and set atop the fenders for greater visibility. Headlight bezels were redesigned. In all closed Mercurys the rear-quarter windows opened out. Front vent wings were now crank-operated, and enclosed, cars the ventilation wing support bars rolled down with the windows. The four-door convertible, offered in 1940, was gone, but a station wagon was added. The Woodie wagons body behind the engine cowl was identical to Fords and produced at the companys Iron Mountain plant in Michigans Upper Peninsula. The “Eight script was moved to the rear of the hood. 90,556 Mercury Eights were sold in the 1941 model year. Convertible competition to this Mercury in 1941 included Buicks Super Eight, Chryslers New Yorker, Dodges Custom, Oldsmobiles 98, Pontiacs Deluxe Torpedo Eight. Pre-World War II car fans, those who favor Mercurys over Ford or collectors who like something seldom seen should visit Gateway Classic Cars Dallas to review this Mercury Eight Convertible. Like the Roman god for which the marque is named, we predict this car wont linger long. VIN: 99A455079 Current mileage on the odometer shows 7954 miles, which is since full frame off restoration. It is sold as-is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! 817-310-9400 Dallas@GatewayClassicCars.com

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1950 Dodge Pickup! 2 years after WWII ended Dodge decided it was time to overhaul their trucks. The B-Series debuted in 1948 and would offer several variants such as ton, ton, van, suburban, and more. The wheelbase may have been shortened but the engine was pushed forward, and front axle moved back for better weight distribution. The B-Series would see production until 1953. Here we have a 50 model, and she is far from original! As you approach this truck you can help but smile, it is striking! A cab was sourced as well as a chassis and the fab work would begin. The fab work was easier than thought with the cab and bed practically mounting right up. The body was in good shape, so the custom orange paint was laid down and gives this truck a very unique look. The light ash wood bed was next to go in and looks great against the orange paint. The black steps make for a nice tone breakup in color. Inside the cab is a nice mixture of old and new. The cloth power seats are out of the S10 and look good. The door panels have been accented with a splash of dress up items in brushed aluminum and the window switches for the power windows. The upper section of the metal dash remains with the S10 dash being worked over to fit nicely in the space below it. Under the hood you will find a fuel injected 4.3L Inline 6-cylinder engine (from the S10) is mated to a 4-speed Automatic Transmission. The truck was built with the intent to drive it and if you ever drove a 50 dodge truck comfort is not one of their strong points. With that being said, the decision was made to sit the Dodge body on top of a 98 S10 chassis. It would then have all the comforts you want in daily life with the look to compete in a car show on the weekend. Current owner has had her for over 6 years, acquired from our showroom at that time. If you are after the old school look with modern touches, this truck commands your attention! Options on this Dodge are: A/C, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows/Locks, Cloth Interior, Tilt Wheel, Cruise Control, AM/FM/CD Radio, Seat Belts, Aluminum Wheels, and Radial Tires. This 1950 Dodge Pickup is offered by our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is thrilled to offer this show-winning 1972 Chevrolet C20 Custom Camper pickup truck for sale on consignment at our Arizona showroom, located in North Phoenix. This ton vehicle, with an 8ft bed, and other restored heavy-duty pickups like it are getting some real attention in the classic truck market- we can see why! A professional, frame off restoration by Tri-C Engineering and Hot Rods (Valencia, CA) that took 9 years gives us this stunning example, which is finished at a level GM couldnt have imagined when these first rolled off the assembly line. This truck retained all original panels and is painted in Red Orange, a Chevrolet factory paint code, with a body color custom locking tonneau cover and tool box in the bed. Underneath its just as impressive with a gloss painted frame, powdercoated rear end and hidden tow hitch. Something interesting to note is that this is a factory dual fuel tank truck. Just to give you an idea of how well this vehicle has been restored, every single nut, bolt and washer is polished stainless on this truck! Pop the hood and you cant help but admire the superbly detailed 383 CID Stroker motor that features added performance parts such as an Edelbrock manifold, 600cfm carburetor, ceramic coated Hooker competition headers, Comp cam/roller rockers, Billet Specialties serpentine belt system and moon finned valve covers/air cleaner. A Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly through the gears as youd expect with just over 2,000 miles since the build. Inside this quality C20 pickup you will enjoy your driving experience thanks to a well-bolstered cloth/vinyl Highlander White and Tan bench seat, Mercedes carpeting and several conveniences such as a billet steering wheel with tilt, Vintage air conditioning, tinted windows and a restored tach dash instrument cluster. The original build sheet sticker can be found in the glove box. This truck has won so many trophies, we barely have enough room to fit them in the bed! If youre looking for a desirable, restored GM pickup truck you should be considering this 1972 Chevrolet C20 Custom Camper. The second production year of the first-generation Camaro retained most of the aesthetic elements of the 1967 models, but saw the elimination of the side vent windows, revised taillights, and several color and trim changes. The first thing youll notice on this one is the gorgeous Tuxedo Black with pearlescent white stripes. In the sunlight, the metalflake in the black is just mesmerizing, and the pearl in the white stripes really pops - a modern look that youd have not seen in 1968! Under the hood, its original small block V8 engine was replaced with a much more powerful, professionally built 402 cubic inch engine. This big block-powered 68 is equipped with an Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock carb, finned aluminum Mickey Thompson valve covers, and a massive Griffin aluminum radiator with twin electric fans. The transmission is a 4-speed Muncie M21 transmission, backed by a rebuilt 10 bolt Posi rear end with 3:55 gears. This potent 68 now has front disc brakes, a custom dual exhaust system, new windshield and side windows, new 17 U.S. Mag aluminum wheels with fresh Nitto NT555G2 performance radials (275/45ZR17 at each corner), and many new exterior molding pieces. Inside is a fresh interior with new synthetic leather seating, Dakota Digital dash, a Sun Super TachII, a triple gauge cluster for oil pressure, coolant temp, and amps, a Pioneer AM/FM/CD head unit (in the glove box, to maintain the classic 68 interiors original look), new carpet, a new custom center console, and new mats with embroidered Camaro logo. It also has power brakes and power steering, so this is one Camaro that drives as good as it looks!

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale proudly presents the world renowned off road legend, the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. These trucks are legendary in off-roading groups for being reliable and extremely agile due to their short wheel base. Given their track record in some of the worlds most inhospitable environments, its easy to see why these are growing tremendously in collector popularity. However, because of their rugged reputation many of these trucks have been bashed, abused, and just plain used up in the years before they were on the collectors A-list. Fortunately, this one is a sight to behold with an eye catching yellow paint job and tan soft roof that looks bound for the wilderness. Youll find the interior is far more civilized than youd expect for a world traveler like this, with comfortable vinyl front seats. Twin folding seats in back expand passenger capacity and with durable non-slip rubber mat on the floor, you can get dirty without worrying about cleaning carpets when you get home. Toyotas 4.2-liter inline-six powered Land Cruisers for decades and provides the torque necessary for off road excitement; its proven itself time and again when conditions were less than nice. Around town, its smooth and torquey and the gear ratios are exactly right to make it feel quick and agile. Backed by a 4 speed manual transmission and sitting on All Terrain tires, this Land Cruiser is sure to please the traveler in all of us! If youre looking for an eye catching beach cruiser or an impressive FJ for the car show scene, this is the one you want to own! Options include power brakes, power steering, vinyl interior, manual top and radial tires.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to offer this 1956 Mercury Medalist. The car is offered by our North Phoenix facility conveniently located right off I-17 and Pinnacle Peak Road. These Mercurys were Known as the Big M back when they were out. This car has been lovingly restored to in my opinion a very high level, one look around this car shows that. The motor a 312 inch V-8 has been rebuilt approximately 3000 miles ago and features two four barrel carburetors, the same goes for the T-85 Borg Warner 3 speed manual with overdrive Transmission. The smoke grey metallic PPG paint color is from the mid- eighties Ford Truck color options and shows extremely well. The interior has been restored to the same level in classy two-tone grey durable cloth material. To go into a little more detail this car has new tinted glass. Front disc brakes, a bigger sway bar to improve handling, a new clutch, traction bars, there is also numerous upgrades to the engine rebuild including high performance crank pushrods and lifters and camshaft and Mallory ignition. Also installed tastefully under dash are gauges for water temperature, oil pressure and tachometer.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is proud to offer this stunning turquoise and white 1956 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria 2-door coupe. Ford sold a ton of Fairlanes in 1956 but only around 9,000 top trim level Crown Victorias were delivered to customers. Painted in a two-tone turquoise and white, classy Fords like this were easily some of the adored cars of the 1950s, with their eye-catching styling features such as the chrome Tiara band running across the top connecting the B-pillars and Continental Kit spare tire holder. Of course, thats not the only brightwork youll find on this fancy Ford - the window moldings, side sweep moldings, front/rear bumpers, and dual spotlights all add chrome pizazz. Powering this Crown Vic is a 272 CID Thunderbird V8 with one noticeably not original add-on: a big Holley 4BBL carb. This model came with the 3-speed Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission, with the shifter located on the column. According to its current owner, the engine was rebuilt in the mid-1990s and has only about 18,000 miles on it since the rebuild, which was done by the previous owner during their 30 year ownership of the car. This Crown Vic is riding on original style 7.1-15 Wide White Sidewall bias ply tires, which are wrapped around its wire hubcap-equipped steelies. Inside, its hard to beat the simplistic, yet functional interior on this Crown Victoria, from the two-tone white vinyl with turquoise cloth insert bench seats to the original dash with a full set of gauges for the driver to enjoy. Theres also an AM radio to the right of the instrument cluster. This 1956 Ford Crown Victoria is well-optioned, with its AM Radio, Continental kit, dual spotlights, stone guards, wire wheel covers, fender skirts, power brakes, and power steering. It also has a spare tire and jack. This car has won many show awards, and a substantial amount of them are included with the car.
