Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to present this cool 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 for sale on consignment with our showroom in Phoenix, Arizona. That simple three number nameplate is about as desirable as it gets in the classic car world! As designated by the numbers, 442 cars came from the factory with a 4bbl carburetor, 4-speed manual transmission and dual (2) exhaust pipes. What we have here is a thoroughly customized example that improves the driving experience of this classic body tremendously. A two-tone Burgundy and Silver paintjob adorns the exterior of this 67 Olds and the muscly body lines are accentuated by the all-steel “cowl hood and American Racing wheels with 18 in the front and 20s in the rear. Under the hood is where the magic lies; a RamJet (fuel injected) 502 CID big-block V8 engine pumps out over 600hp according to the sellers records with 665lb ft of torque! This is achieved by building the engine with forged internals, hydraulic lifters and aluminum heads and finished off with Hooker headers feeding a 3 Flowmaster exhaust system with electronic cut-outs. The custom aluminum radiator with dual electric cooling fans keeps this huge motor under control when youre pushing the redline. A TH400 3-speed automatic transmission with gear vendors overdrive shifts this Olds just the way you like it. For handling purposes, the suspension features several improvements including heavy duty sway bars, coil springs and negative camber upper control arms. 4-wheel disc brakes also assist with stopping capabilities. Inside this Oldsmobile its clear that youre looking at much more than a classic car too. Reupholstered Black leather seating is comfortable and supportive while the doors and headliner are finished in posh Red velour. Aftermarket gauges keep you fully informed on the go and you can even set this classic car to cruise control when youre enjoying the open road. A retro stereo system is available for entertainment and Vintage air conditioning is blowing nice and cold. This collectable classic car has been upgraded from top to bottom and ready to drive and enjoy for the next owner. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a true supercar; a 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Chevrolet really knocked the cover off of it with the C6 ZR1. They took the already good C6 Corvette and cranked it up to 11 so that it could compete with supercars 3 times its price. The transformation begins with the incredible LS9 engine under the hood. This engine makes the ZR1 the first factory supercharged Corvette and also the most powerful at the time of its introduction. Six Hundred and Thirty Eight horsepower; yes, 638 horsepower is the output on this bad boy. Couple this kind of power with a car that weighs less than 3,400 pounds and clearly were talking about a performance beast. This particular example is a stunning black on black car with only 12,007 miles on the odometer. The black looks great contrasting with the exposed carbon fiber on the roof, side skirts, and front splitter. The light weight and high horsepower is incredible, but so is the handling. The car sits on massive ZR1 specific wheels with incredible tires including 335mm wide rears. The brakes are massive carbon ceramic discs with Brembo calipers. Some of the same braking technology is used on the Ferrari Enzo; examples of which are currently on the market in the multi-million dollar range. The performance for the money was staggering when these cars were new, and it is even more amazing now. For the Corvette enthusiast, or just the driving enthusiast, this car is a must. You can see this 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or stl@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this numbers matching 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS Z28 RS for sale in the Indianapolis showroom. This gorgeous red exterior and black vinyl interior Z28 was frame off restored approximately 15 years ago at approximately 49,000 original miles. The current owner has put the remainder of the miles (it currently shows 49,576 miles) on the vehicle in the last 5 years. With a 302 cubic inch V8 coupled to a 4 speed manual transmission feeding a 12 bolt 4:11 Positraction rear, and Rally wheels wrapped in radials, the power brakes and power steering complete the factory configuration. This vehicle is documented by the NCRS and shows that the official production date was 04/05/1968. The original delivery dealer was dealer code 242 in zone 49. The name and address of that dealer is believed to be Hornbeck Chevrolet Inc in Carbondale, Pennsylvania. The Z28 performance package was designed (with further modifications) to compete in the SCCA Trans-Am series. It included a solid-lifter 302 V8, 4-speed transmission, power disc brakes, and two wide stripes down the hood and trunk lid. The Z28 option code was introduced in December 1966 for the 1967 model year. It was the brainchild of Vince Piggins, who conceived offering virtually race-ready Camaros for sale from any Chevrolet dealer. This option package was not mentioned in any sales literature, so it was unknown to most buyers. The Z28 option required power front disc brakes and a close-ratio Muncie 4-speed manual transmission (posi-traction was optional). It featured a 302 cu in (4.9 L) small-block V-8 engine, 3 stroke crankshaft with 4 bore, an aluminum intake manifold, and a 4-barrel vacuum secondary Holley carburetor of 780 cfm. The engine was designed specifically to race in the Trans Am series (which required engines smaller than 305 cu in (5.0 L). Advertised power of this engine was listed at 290 hp (216 kW). This is an under-rated figure. Chevrolet wanted to keep the horsepower rating at less than 1 hp per cubic inch, for various reasons (e.g. insurance and racing classes). The factory rating of 290 hp occurred at 5300 rpm, while actual peak for the high-revving 302 was closer to 360 hp (268 kW) (with the single four barrel carb) and 400 hp (298 kW) (with optional dual-four barrel carbs) at 6800-7000 rpm. The Z28 also came with upgraded suspension, racing stripes on the hood and trunk lid, 302 front fender emblems on the 67 and early 68 cars, and Z28 emblems in late 68 & 69. It was also possible to combine the Z28 package with the RS package. Only 602 Z28s were sold in 1967, along with approximately 100 Indianapolis Pace Car replicas. 7,199 Z28s were sold in 1968. The 1967 and 1968 Z28s did not have the cowl induction hood, optional on the 1969 Z28s. The 1967 Z28 received air from an open element air cleaner or from an optional cowl plenum duct attached to the side of the air cleaner that ran to the firewall and got air from the cowl vents. 15-inch rally wheels were included with Z28s while all other 1967-9 Camaros had 14-inch wheels. The origin of the Z28 nameplate came from the RPO codes - RPO Z28 was the code for the Special Performance Package. RPO Z27 was for the Super Sport package. To view this 1968 Camaro Z28, please visit our site at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call 317-688-1100, or email us at indy@gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is excited to offer this 1955 Ford Thunderbird. This baby bird is a total frame off restoration with everything being replaced or rebuilt. This stylish yellow and white T-bird is ready to be shown or enjoyed as a Sunday cruiser. This piece of Ford history was restored in about 10 years ago in Miami Florida and has been garage kept since. One of the most beautiful pieces of Americana, they were considered to be direct competition to the Chevrolet Corvette. Helping spawn a new generation of automobiles in the United States, and aimed to take on the European market, the Ford Thunderbird was powered by a 292 CID V8, which gave the already smaller, lighter car the power it needed to make for both an excellent road racer as well as the perfect car for older couples to sit back and enjoy a movie at the drive-in. The current owner is a collector and has meticulously maintained this baby bird to be kept in amazing condition. The odometer is reading 1,679 which is the miles since the restoration. This car features the period correct and rebuilt 292 wide block V8 engine paired to a redone 3 speed automatic transmission. The yellow and white theme on this car is one of the stylish Thunderbird appearances we have had the honor of listing with Gateway Classic Cars. There is a black soft top as well as the painted white hard top. The white wall tires and chrome wire wheels off set the yellow paint perfectly. This T-bird has sharp two tone black and white vinyl interior with an adjustable steering wheel. The overall condition of the paint and interior is superb. This Ford has many features which make the drive much more enjoyable. Options include; power steering, power windows and seat, vinyl interior, automatic transmission, wire wheels, convertible soft top and removable hardtop, radial white wall tires, A/C but needs a recharge, AM/FM radio, and even a spare tire. If you are a Ford collector or a fan of the mid 50s Thunderbird body style then do not let this one pass you by. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this sharp 1987 Cadillac Coupe Deville. The 6th generation Cadillac Deville has been meticulously taken care of its whole life!! This time machine is one of a kind and is fully loaded for its time. This car still has the original V8 engine with just under 115k miles. 1987 saw a new front-end design including revised cornering lamps in front and one-piece composite headlamps flanked a trapezoid-shaped grille with a bold egg-crate texture. Elongated fender caps were in back - upping the overall length by an inch and a half, but much more dramatic in appearance with new wrap-around tail lamps. This new 3-sided tail lamp style was inspired by a design used on the 1977 Deville. Unlike the new one-piece headlamps, the changes to the rear-end in 1987 had little to do with engineering, but rather, feedback from Cadillacs customer base who felt the 1985-86 car looked too short. Although the 1987 revamp was still quite like the 1986 model (so much in fact that it still used the previous years deck lid), the design was more in-tune with the look that traditional Cadillac buyers were used to. Although this car had the original engine and interior, the paint was redone to this classic gold looking color. The body is overall in great shape and looks stunning with the newer paint. The Cadillac’s original V8 engine starts right up and idles smooth. The car has just under 115k miles on it with many service records on the Auto Check history report. The 1987 came standard with the 4-speed automatic transmission that is still original in this car and shifting seamlessly. The interior of this car is leather with power seats, windows, and mirrors. Overall great shape inside and out. This car is perfect for any drive way and has plenty of life left in it. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1970 Pontiac GTO convertible. The GTO was produced from 1964-1974 and again from 2004-2006. Some have considered the Pontiac GTO the poster child for popularizing the muscle car phenomenon in the mid-sixties. This 1970 is a second- generation model produced from 1968-1972. Manufactured on the Tempest line, the 1970 GTO retained its urethane nose but received suspension upgrades including a rear anti-roll bar which resulted in improved body lean and understeer. Variable-ratio power steering was also made available in 1970. Our 1970 Pontic GTO convertible is painted in fire engine red with a matching red vinyl interior. The black convertible top and B. F. Goodrich raised white letter tires mounted on factory five-spoke wheels are the icing on a great looking car. Bucket seats, three spoked steering wheel and woodgrain/ brushed aluminum dash define this sport GTO. Under the hood is a 400 cubic inch V-8 attached to a four-speed manual transmission. Dual exhaust gives this GTO a nice throaty sound on acceleration. Comfort features included a power convertible top, power steering, power brakes and a parade boot. This 1970 Pontiac GTO convertible defines the muscle car era. A car with sporty good looks and enough horse- power under the hood to make your heart beat just a little bit faster.

For sale in our Saint Louis Gateway Classic Cars Showroom is this beautiful Golden Rod Yellow 1955 Ford Thunderbird. This Amos Minter (of Minter’s Thunderbird in Dallas) restored 55’ T-Bird looks absolutely fantastic. Open the hood and you will see the original 292 CID 4BBL V8 engine that was rebuilt and restored to like new condition. The Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission was also rebuilt and shifts beautifully. The black and yellow interior shows very well with very little signs of usage. This is a highly optioned interior including the 4-way power seat and telescopic steering wheel. The AM radio and gauges were all rebuilt and function as they should. The 6-volt system is gone, in its place is a more modern and preferred 12-volt system. The rarely seen Golden Rod Yellow paint shines beautifully and stands proud against the gleaming brightwork on this 55’ T-Bird. The underside is just as clean and shows the detail of this quality restoration. The hard top is painted to match the body, while the soft top is black vinyl. You have the possibility of 3 different looks, yellow hard top, black vinyl top, or no top at all! The odometer reads 464, which represents the actual mileage put on the car since the restoration was complete. Options for this 1955 Ford Thunderbird include: AM Radio, Telescopic Steering Wheel, Manual Convertible Top (Hard and Soft Top included), Power Seats, Vinyl Interior, Power Steering, Firestone Wide White Wall Bias Ply Tires, and Kelsey Hayes Wire Wheels. This is an incredible opportunity to own a 55’ Thunderbird that was restored by the Thunderbird guru himself, Amos Minter. This no expense spared restoration also won the Gold Trophy in Washington State. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this true 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS/Z28. In 66 the SCCA started a new series of racing aimed at the new emerging market of the Pony cars. Ford had their Mustangs hopped up by Carroll Shelby and pretty much dominated the series. It would be a different story in 67 with the release of Chevys Camaro. In order to play by the Trans Am rules Chevy had designed a completely new motor, the 302. A high revving small block that had plenty of horsepower it would turn out to be one of the most iconic engines to ever come out of GM. Due to these high RPMs the motors were prone to blowing up. Unlike today rev limiters were not around so a missed shift could spell disaster. This Z/28 has had an amazing life. Owned by only 3 people the car is very original. As with many of these the block, crank, and pistons were all replaced under warranty. The original owner sold the car shortly thereafter to the second owner who in 1979 took the car a part to begin a restoration. Life happened and the car sat until 2014 when the current owner purchased the car He went through the car completely from freshening up the heads while giving it a valve job right down to fixing all and any rust issues. Painted back to its original green with white racing stripes it is factory correct. During the process all bright work was polished out back to its original luster. New OEM emblems were placed on the car getting back to factory. All of the glass is original but all of the rubber seals were no good so a whole set was ordered and installed making this Camaro seal up nicely. The motor was pulled and taken apart with the heads shipped off to Dixon racing. They placed new valve springs, seals, and one intake valve making them good as new. The block was cleaned and checked for wear while the crank was polished. New bearings, cam and rods were all installed with a new set of rings making this a complete rebuild. The double roller timing chain and oil pump were both replaced just for good measure. The clutch wasnt quite up to par so a whole new assembly was installed. The original Muncie Close Ratio 4 speed was all checked out while the 12 bolt posi rear end completes this drive train. The interior is all original to this car and shows excellent with no major signs of wear it is hard to believe its almost 50 years old. Courtesy of the RS option are the iconic hideaway headlights that actually work. The whole system was replaced and is now in excellent working condition. With the pony wars back in full force the original Trans am racers are going for huge money. Though this one has a factory replaced block everything else is correct on the car and with this one being Z/28 RS car the value is sure to do nothing but increase. Options for this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 RS include; AM, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, and Rally Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. This one of a kind 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 RS is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (812)294-1555 or email us at Louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this beautiful 1968 Dodge Charger. The Charger is well known for its role in “The Dukes of Hazzard”. The only thing this car has ever been 2nd place to was Daisy Duke herself, but that is understandable. This car is full of power and runs on a stout 426 CID V8 Hemi which only has roughly 5,000 miles on it since the rebuild. This engine enjoys the company of a 727 TorqueFlite transmission. This car is in great condition and ready for a new owner to rip up the roads. The red paint on this car is adequate for a daily runner or even your local car meets. The black vinyl top is in great condition and doesn’t even seem to have much age to it. You’ll notice the nice addition to the Punisher logo on the rear in place of the Hemi decal. This is simply to let those other cars out on the road know this monster means business. The car sits on a very clean set of Rushforth wheels with plenty of stopping power with the disc brakes locking onto all four wheels. The tires have plenty of tread life left in them and ready to leave some of that rubber on the road. The interior on the car is in good condition, you’ll also notice the gauge cluster is nicely customized with carbon fiber backing. The door panels and headliner are in great shape and still maintain tight stitching throughout the seams. Some additional features on this beautiful classic include, custom wheels, power brakes, power steering, leather interior, and performance tires.
