Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Milwaukee is please to present this 1972 Buick GS Sun Coupe, The Buick brand is one of Americas oldest car companies and almost 120 years later, Buick is still building fine automobiles. In the mid 1960s the muscle car crazy was everywhere. Pontiac had a real hit on their hands with the GTO and the other GM siblings all wanted a piece of the action. Chevrolet offered the Chevelle SS, Oldsmobile had the 442 and the boys over the Buick the Gran Sport based on the A-body Skylark platform. After the initial success of the Gran Sport in 1965 & 1966 the GS badge could be seen on other Buick models like the Wildcat and Rivera and these vehicles would be appointed with strongest and more powerful engines Buick had to offer at the time. The bright red GS badge was a not-so-subtle way to show that Buick meant business and were making a very strong mark in the muscle car market. Our featured 72 Buick GS has the very rare Sun Coupe option, less than 4000 were built and few survive today. The car is equipped with the ever powerful 455ci motor mated to a turbo 400 3 speed automatic transmission. The color contrast of Stratamist blue paired to the creamy white vinyl top with matching vinyl seat that will stand out and demand attention in any situation. Other features included the quintessential 5 spoke Buick rally wheels, 12-bolt Posi traction rear end, power steering, power brakes, and the manual sunroof. Wouldnt you really rather have a Buick? Come take a trip back in time with the 72 Buick GS Sun Coupe.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is very happy to offer this nicely restored 1956 Chevrolet 3100. Chevrolet re-designed the truck line in 1955. And for the 1956 models, the new body featured the truck industrys first wrap-around windshield and an optional wrap around rear window for Deluxe cab models. The headlights also became integrated into the fenders, the cab got taller, and in-cab steps replaced the running boards of previous models. A step between the cab and rear fender aided access to items inside the pickup bed. 1956 was also the last year model that used the distinctive Egg Crate style grill. The rich Golden Rod yellow paint shows very well and is almost as bright as the chrome bumpers & trim pieces. This one was lovingly restored a few years back to better than new. New front & rear glass, weatherstripping, felts, both bumpers, door handles, mirrors, trim pieces, oak stainless bed strips are but a small portion of the new components that have gone into this build. Under the hood is the 265 CID V8 and the shifting is done through the 3 on the tree steering column mounted shifter. The interior of this 56 shows extremely nicely as well, sporting some newly recovered seats, new carpets, new headliner & reconditioned or new instrumentation, bezel, visors and a new fuel tank & sending unit. If an original 1956 Chevy pick up is on your bucket list, this Chevy 3100 is worth a closer look!

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to present this solid 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS. The Goldwood Yellow paint isnt a color one sees frequently, and it looks great from any angle. Under the hood lurks a potent 327 CID Chevy V8 thats enhanced with a Holley 4BBL carb, Edelbrock aluminum intake, and finned aluminum valve covers. A large custom aluminum radiator with twin electric fans keeps engine temps in check and enable worry-free driving in stop and go traffic. The mighty mouse also sports a set of double hump heads, so you know it breathes well! A set of rams horn exhaust manifolds feeds into a dual exhaust setup. Backing the 327 is a 4-speed manual transmission (with a new clutch), and the drivetrain was rebuilt only about 7000 miles ago, so this SS has plenty of life left in it. This 64 Impala SS also received a complete 4-wheel brake job recently, so she stops nicely. The 3.55:1 rear axle ratio is highway friendly, yet still provides for brisk acceleration when you need it, and the PosiTrac differential keeps you from smoking that inner tire when you accelerate through a corner. Fire this puppy up and listen to the throaty burble that emanates from the dual exhaust while you get settled into the cockpit, which just screams nostalgia. Its black vinyl seating and carpet are in very good condition and provide a nice contrast to the yellow exterior. This 64 Impala SS rides on some polished vintage style American Racing wheels: 17 up front, and 20 out back, which are wrapped with performance radial rubber (sized 235/45ZR19 in front, 275/30ZR20 out back). Additional features and options on this 1964 Chevrolet Impala include Air Conditioning (cold), Aluminum Wheels, AM/FM Radio, Kill Switch, Positrac rear end, Power Steering, Performance Radial Tires, Seat Belts, Spare Tire and Jack, Tilt Steering Column, and Vinyl Interior.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this 1941 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible for sale! Fords for 1941 were much more modern with a wide body that nearly covered the running boards. They came in several body styles including a two-door and four-door sedans, a sedan coupe, a business coupe, and convertible coupe, sedan delivery wagon, and woody station wagon. This particular car is a Super Deluxe Convertible coupe. The Super Deluxe had several amenities of higher quality over the base models, including more chrome, leather seats, and a wood-grain dashboard. Production of the 1941 models was disrupted by a sudden labor strike in April 1941; Henry Ford, having resisted unionization well after the rest of the American automobile industry accepted it, finally gave in and signed a contract with the UAW. More on this car, it is painted in a dark blue that accents the tan leather and top. Under the hood is a flathead V8 that makes a wonderful noise when you put your foot down. Spot lamps are positioned on both sides of the windshield. Top down or up, you will be riding around in style just like rich people of the 1940s did 80 years ago! This 1941 Super Deluxe Convertible Coupe is featured in our Indianapolis showroom and can be seen in detail including 100+ HD photos and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Denver welcomes this ORIGINAL 1941 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible! The Ford car was thoroughly updated in 1941, in preparation for a time of unpredictability surrounding World War II. The 1941 design would continue in an aborted 1942 model year and would be restarted in 1946 and produced until 1948 when the more modern 1949 Fords were ready. During the initial year of this car, it evolved considerably. The front fenders came in three pieces, the theory being that small damages could be replaced easily. During the year, it evolved into two pieces with the lower front and back sections being joined. The hood risers changed, the early ones being the same as 1940 Fords, changing during the year to the better later version. The 1941 Convertible had no rear side windows, the only side windows being in the doors; in 1942, quarter windows were added so the rear occupants could see out. Five different coil/distributor arrangements were used during 1941, causing confusion for mechanics. Other variations were: two different positions for the generator, and three for the cooling fan — front of the crankshaft, front of the generator (rare) and on a bracket. This is thought to be the first Ford to offer an oil filter. The two interior heaters were a Southwind gasoline burner, which had the advantage of keeping one warm in winter at drive-in movies (provided a small electric fuel pump was used), and a more ordinary hot-water type. Both had window defrosters. It had an great radio, which could consume the battery in about two hours. Electric windshield wipers were available in addition to the vacuum-powered wipers. Three different convertible power top mechanisms (vacuum, electric screw, and hydraulic) and two different header bar latching systems were used. Rear suspensions sometimes had a sway bar, most did not. It had great brakes and among the most notable handling of ordinary cars of the time. It served a transitional role in Fords lineup The ignition key for these cars was actually used to operate a bolt lock which, on one end, unlocked the steering column (a feature destined to return, mandated, decades later), and on the other end unblocked the ignition switch, allowing it to be operated. Starting the car was then accomplished by pressing a pushbutton on the dashboard, another feature destined to return with the advent of smart keys.
