Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia invites you to travel back to 1973. This 1973 Plymouth Duster with a 340 and 4 speed transmission looks like you just removed it from a time capsule. The exterior is done in base coat / clear coat Blue and the interior is restored to factory specs with the original Blue cloth seats. The 1973 Duster received some updates from previous models. A new hood, grille, front fenders, bumpers, and taillights. Starting in 1973, the taillights were mounted from the outside and were trimmed in chrome. Plymouth dealers had 6 cylinder Dusters lined up with bench seats and automatics. Somewhere on the lot there was one maybe two like this one that still had the bench seat and blue plaid interior only the factory like this owner had put a 340 C.I. Beast of a small block under the hood and a floor mounted manual shifter 4 speed as well. The twister decal on the side of the car had a whole new meaning at that point. That is what Mopar was all about. They had that car builders attitude that if we can fit the motor into the car, then lets do it. This Duster is approximately a 10 year old complete rotisserie restoration. In addition to the engine the aftermarket wheels are one of the only things that have been changed on this car. To view this 1973 Plymouth Duster in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. Description:

This 1947 Plymouth Street rod is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. In 1947 America was still glowing over its victory in world war 2. The Factory’s were almost back to full production and people had money. The 47 Plymouths symbolized all of this with there sleek fat fender designs and incredible dash with the elegant gauges. This 47 has kept all the features but with modern touches that give it a very custom look. Outside the Copper paint looks great and not something you would find on stock 47. The custom wheels help to compliment the modern touches. Under the hood is not something you would have seen in 1947. The 440 CID big block is all Mopar and something not found in most street rods. With that big block upfront power steering was added to make turning this beast a lot easier. The 727 torq flite transmission is exactly what that big block needs. Drop it down into drive and let transmission due all the work. The shift from 1st to 2nd is nice and smooth with the final going to 3rd nice and smooth exactly like you would expect. Step inside and the interior is comfortable with the bench seat upfront being the perfect mix of old school flavor with a modern twist. The original gauges are still intact giving the dash that classic 40’s look. Options on this 1947 Plymouth Street rod include; AC, AM/FM/Cassette, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior and Radial Tires with Raised White Letters on a set of Rally Wheels. To view this 1947 Plymouth Streetrod including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For more information call the showroom at (812) 294 1555 or email louisville@gatewayclassiccars.com.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1999 Plymouth Prowler for sale right now in our Orlando Florida showroom. This retro-styled production car is the product of a corporate decision that rarely happens anywhere let alone in the automotive world- Chryslers engineers were given free reign and designed this hot-rod looking roadster that became an instant modern classic. This example is ready for miles of fun and looks great!! Lets start with that sharp Black paint job that sets the car off and attracts instant attention, if the race-car style wheels and the pointy front nose that reminds you of a 1930s Ford Roadster didnt already. A manually operated convertible top is available when you need some protection from the elements, but you will find the best driving experience in a Prowler is with the top down and the wind in your hair. This Plymouth Prowler is so easy to enjoy thanks to a healthy power-to-weight ratio: namely the 253hp 3.5l Magnum V6 engine powering the rear wheels and a curb weight of just 2,800 lbs. Not to mention the handling on this baby is sensational! Inside youll find a Dark Gray leather interior that looks as new as the use of this car suggests and has not been modified in any way. Enthusiasts love the mounted tachometer that was intentionally installed from the factory to echo the hot rod scene this roadster was designed after. A 4-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift mode has the kick when you need it. Let me repeat one more time- theres ONLY 48K miles on this 1999 Plymouth Prowler. There is more to these Plymouth Prowlers than just style and it is time to add one to your collection today. Consider that there were just over 8,500 total Plymouth models produced (Chrysler carried later production into 2002) and a Clean example like this is becoming harder and harder to find on the market. This 1999 Plymouth Prowler is for sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is pleased to offer for sale this deep black 1939 Plymouth Deluxe. The black paint provides both a slightly sinister and that classic vintage look at the same time. Sporting lots of chrome, which is in very good condition, this 39 Plymouth just looks right. Under the hood is where the fun begins. Powered by a 350 CID V8 with Chevys desirable double hump heads (usually having 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust), and backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission thats controlled by a vintage style Lokar shifter, this 39 Plymouth for sale goes like it never did when it was young! The 350 has plenty of chrome and polished bits, including a polished Summit Racing 4BBL carb on top of its polished Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, chrome valve covers, chrome-plated exhaust manifolds (exiting into dual exhaust system), chrome alternator, chromed A/C compressor, chrome air cleaner housing, and chrome master cylinder cover, this is one good looking engine bay. Spark for the 350 is provided by a GM HEI ignition, and cooling is enhanced by the thermostatically controlled electric fan (which also reduces the parasitic power loss from an belt-driven fan). Inside, a wood-rimmed aluminum steering wheel continues the vintage look of the woodgrain dash and window trim. Practically unused tan synthetic leather seating surfaces abound, with a split-bench front seat that aids getting in and out of the rear bench seat. The carpet is in excellent condition, and the tan synthetic leather also covers the door panels and is used for the headliner. A JVC head unit has AM/FM/XM/CD capabilities and is Bluetooth-enabled. The vintage look dash is equipped with modern gauges, including 3 AutoMeter gauges to monitor coolant temp, volts, and oil pressure. This 39 Plymouth Deluxe rides on a set of radial tires with wide white sidewalls, which are wrapped around chrome plated steel wheels with brilliant chrome hubcaps. Additional features and options on this 1939 Plymouth Deluxe for sale include cold A/C, AM/FM/XM/CD radio, Hubcaps, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Spare Tire and Jack, Wide Whitewall Radial Tires, and Vinyl Interior. Description:

This 1999 Plymouth Prowler is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Prowler was produced from 1997 to 2002 and was based on the 1993 Concept car of the same namesake. Built off a design that the now legendary Chip Foose did while at the Art Center College of Design. The classic lines were an immediate show stopper but the open, Indy style front wheels are what really pulled people in. This example has only 11500 original miles verified by the clean CARFAX. The original owner had possession of the car until the end of 2011 and has since changed hands 3 more times with about 1000 miles put on it since then. With the cars being mainly for the collector it is not uncommon to see multiple owners. The purple paint is in excellent condition and was the original color of the first run of prowlers making it a terrific addition to any collection. The black leather interior is original to the car and is as comfortable as it looks. With the top up the car may look like it has absolutely no headroom but is quite spacious. However, this car should never be driven with the top up as it was intended to be a sunny day car. Pop the release and the soft top gets tucked away nicely out of the way giving the car a true roadster looks. With this car still retaining its factory bumpers, wheels, and paint it is sure to make any collector extremely happy. If you have been looking to get your hands on an unmolested example with low miles and a clean vehicle history report this purple beauty has all those quality’s and many more. Options on this 2001 Plymouth Prowler include; AC, AM/FM/CD, Power Windows, Power Locks, Manual Top, Leather Interior, and Aluminum Wheels wrapped with Radial Tires. Description:

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this very nice 1967 Plymouth Belvedere. Merriam-Webster defines ‘Belvedere’ as “A structure designed to command a view”. This old school 2-door is not only a beautiful sight to behold, but it’s also packed chock full of horsepower with a very healthy, ground-thumping 440 cubic-inch Chrysler big block V8. The Comp Cams .509/.509 lift and 247/254 duration cam gives it an unforgettable heartbeat that gets your adrenaline going almost as fast as the car. A 3-speed automatic 727 Torqueflite transmission equipped with a 2,800-rpm stall convertor gives a good launch and delivers the raw power to the rear axle with ease. The rear end contains a 4.11 gear ratio to complete the perfect trio for proper acceleration. Polar White paint covers the exterior of this car, standing up to the definition of its name, Belvedere, better than expected. This car may sound hot, but aesthetically it truly is cooler than cool, it’s ice cold! Try to avoid frost bite as you reach for the door handle. Open the door up and be welcomed to a fantastic black vinyl interior in excellent condition. The nicely kept cabin provides a smooth old-school look and feel that really brings you back to 1967. A modern radio brings a high-quality sound to an already great sounding car, but why anybody would want to listen to today’s drama over the deep rumble of this beastly engine is beyond me. This classic Mopar is the kind of car that you can race to the grocery store, or cruise to the drag strip. Options include: Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, AM/FM Radio, Power Steering, and Vinyl Interior. For more information on this sweet 1967 Plymouth Belvedere, contact our Chicago showroom at (708) 444-4488 or Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

For sale in our Ft Lauderdale showroom is a second-generation Plymouth Barracuda Convertible from 1967. This second-generation Barracuda still shared many components with the Valiant but was stylishly redesigned with model-specific sheet metal and beside the convertible, came available as well in a hardtop and coupe, while joining the original fastback offering. The new Barracuda was chiefly the work of John E. Herlitz and John Samsen, with Coke-bottle side contours and heavily revised front and rear ends. In 1967, while the 225 cu in (3.7L) slant-6 was still the base engine, the V8 options ranged from the two and four barrel versions of the 273 cu in (4.5 L) to a seldom-ordered 383 cu in (6.3 L) “B Big-Block rated at 280 bhp (210 kw), the latter available only with the Formula S Package. That said, this 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible is powered by a 273 V-8 engine and automatic transmission. This is an all original matching numbers Plymouth Barracuda Convertible. This car looks great and runs beautifully. There is nothing like a convertible on a warm summer night, especially in a classic 1967 Barracuda. Indeed, this is a creative example of late 1960s Chrysler design with great lines and will please any Mopar purist. Gateway Classic Cars is excited to offer 1997 Plymouth Prowler in our Atlanta showroom. Prowlers are becoming very collectible, especially this kind. Only 2 owners called this Prowler their own, and you will immediately see that it has always been babied. A super clean charcoal grey interior invites you to take a seat and that is where the real fun begins. Description:

Gateway Classic Cras of Detroit is proud to offer this 1999 Plymouth Prowler for sale. The Plymouth Prowler, later the Chrysler Prowler, is a retro-styled production car manufactured and marketed from 1997 to 2002 by DaimlerChrysler, based on the 1993 concept car of the same name. The Prowler was offered in a single generation in a front-engine, rear-drive, rear-transmission configuration — with an overall production of 11,702. 1999 had the highest production numbers of 3,921. Chrysler engineers were given free rein to design whatever they wanted in a hot rod or sportster type vehicle. Chryslers design and international director Thomas C. Gale said his love for 1930s-era hot rods inspired Chryslers latest design triumph, the retro-styled Plymouth Prowler. Gale, who has a hotted up 1932 Ford in his garage approved the hotrod-inspired Plymouth Prowler as the companys follow-up show-stopper to the Dodge Viper. An early influence is credited to a Chrysler-sponsored project at the Art Center College of Design. This resulted in a thesis by Douglas Chip Foose, which included drawings of a retro-roadster. Foose designed it as a coupe for Chrysler to begin with but modified it to a roadster version. One of the most striking design features of the Prowler is the open, Indy racer-style front wheels. The Prowler featured a powertrain from Chryslers LH-cars, a 24-valve, 3.5 L Chrysler SOHC V6 engine producing 214 hp (160 kW; 217 PS) at 5850 rpm. For the 1999 model year, the engine was replaced with a more powerful, aluminum-block, 253 hp (189 kW; 257 PS) at 6400 rpm version of the engine. Both engines were coupled to a four-speed Autostick automatic transmission. The transmission was located at the rear of the vehicle and joined to the engine by a torque tube that rotated at engine speed, an arrangement similar to that used by the C5 Corvette, Porsche 944, and Alfa Romeo 75, and helped to facilitate a desirable 50-50 front-rear weight distribution. The Prowler was the first rear-wheel drive Plymouth since the 1989 Plymouth Gran Fury and would stand as the last Plymouth model with that layout. While criticized for having only a V6 engine, Chryslers High Output 3.5 had a horsepower rating similar to (or higher than) the companys Magnum V8s of that era. While not making nearly as much torque as a V8, Prowlers lightweight helped to achieve rapid off-the-line acceleration. The car prominently featured aluminum construction, in many cases adhesively bonded, chiefly in the chassis. The body was produced in Shadyside, Ohio, and the car was assembled by hand at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant (CAAP) in Detroit, Michigan. This beautiful 2-owner example comes with great standard equipment like A/C, AM/FM/CD stereo, Manual Convertible top, Power Brakes, Power steering, Power door locks, Power windows, Anti-Lock brakes, Tilt wheel, Leather interior and radial tires. This 1999 Plymouth Prowler is for sale in our Detroit Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
