Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer this fun-loving 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. The Super Beetle was marketed in the United States as the top of the line for the Beetle range and this example for sale certainly lives up to that reputation. This Bug has been recently stripped and repainted at an expense of over $3,000 and shines brightly in its ‘Saturn Yellow’. The jet-black trimming, red racing stripes and powder-coated mag wheels with oversized radial tires make for a stylish touch. Originally, the Super Beetle came with a peppy 1600cc motor but ours has been upgraded even further to a spirited 1915cc tied to a 4-speed short-shift, synchro manual transmission. The engine rebuild was performed just 1000 miles ago and all receipts are included with the car, so the fun with this Bug is just getting started! Inside, you won’t believe you’re in a Volkswagen while you’re sitting in the vinyl Recaro seats and fully carpeted floor. This is the kind of car you can enjoy every day as well as impress people at car shows due to its build quality. This is a very competitive asking price for a car of this quality and it will not last long. Jump on this one today by calling our helpful and knowledgeable sales team in Scottsdale at (623) 900-4884 or by emailing us directly with any inquiries at scottsdale@gatewayclassiccars.com See more at: http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/SCT/289/1973-Volkswagen-Super-Beetle

Description:

Now available in our Philadelphia showroom is this 1966 Chevrolet Corvair-Monza. The 1966 lineup remained essentially unchanged from 1965. The steering column was changed to a two-piece design with universal joint, lessening the danger of intrusion during a front-end collision (a mid-1965 running change). A plastic air dam was installed below the front valence panel to conceal the front suspension and underbody and lessen crosswind sensitivity. In front, the lock door emblem (covering the lockset for the trunk lock) was changed from red to blue and featured a shorter bar. Air-conditioned cars received a new condenser that was mounted in front of the engine, eliminating previous efficient but huge, awkward condenser that was mounted atop the engine, requiring its removal out of the way for most under the hood servicing. This 1966 Corvair- Convertible was sent to the President of the Delaware-Corvair Club, who took the time to go over the entire vehicle, spending over 85 plus labor hours on this vehicle. The following work was completed during this time: Converted to Dual master cylinder, New front brake lines, New brake cylinder and hoses (both front and back), Pitman arms- bushings- & idler arm, Carburetor rebuilt, Replaced Alternator, New engine wiring harness, New tailpipes, New fan belt, New turn signal lever, New rear motor mount, New carpet in the trunk, New Antenna, New windshield wipers, New convertible “top boot” foam pads, New oil-pan and gaskets, New throttle valve/O-ring, New rear brake cable, New axle seals, New battery, New door seals plates, This Corvair has also been converted to an electric fuel-pump & Crane electric ignition. – As you can tell, a lot of love has been invested into this vehicle. The heart of this vehicle is a 6-cyclinder, which produces a 110 HP to the wheels and is connected to a 2-speed transmission. The powertrain has been converted to a 1965 powertrain. The solid white vinyl interior is in pretty good shape throughout, with only minor blemishes on the back-driver’s side. The convertible top is in good condition too, so you’ll look very sharp, top up or down. All this sits on a sweet set of wired wheels & white wall tires, with a Chevy emblem on the “knock-off” portion. This Corvair is going to be cruising around some town and enjoyed by a new owner very soon…. Will this be you? To view this 1966 Chevrolet Corvair Monza in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a very clean and tastefully upgraded 1997 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. This Z28 has a lot going for it. The car wears a classic Camaro color scheme: white with orange stripes. This was the factory scheme which has been maintained beautifully over the years. It currently wears chrome wheels wrapped in nice radial tires. The interior carries the white scheme with White leather seating with super cool hounds tooth seat inserts. This hounds tooth upholstery reminds one of the early 1960s Camaros that also offered this option. Sticking with the quintessential Camaro theme, this one has a manual transmission. Not the 4 speed the early cars wouldve come with, this 97 has a hearty 6 speed manual which has been nicely upgraded with a Hurst short throw shifter. The power plant is a 5.7 Liter LT1 which has also be slightly upgraded. The improve flow, a cold air intake, a high flow throttle body, SLP headers, and a Hooker mufflers have been added. This also beefs up the sound so you can really hear that LT1. This is a very well maintained Camaro with no accident history and a clean vehicle history report. This could be a car for car shows, to drive daily, or heck, the drag strip if you wanted to. You can see this 1997 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or stl@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

The Z32 was a new design. The body was wider with a rounder profile and fewer hard edges. It had a marginally increased drag coefficient of .31 compared to the Z31's .30. Twin Turbocharged Z32s also featured active rear wheel steering systems called "Super HICAS", first introduced on the HR31 Nissan Skyline, which was actuated hydraulically until 1994 when Nissan switched to an electric actuator. Nissan designated the final 300 units earmarked for North American sale in 1996 as "Commemorative Edition" cars, although nothing new or exclusive to the model was included. The 1996 model years vehicles did not feature Nissan's NVTC variable valve timing system, which had been present on all previous Z32 models. Production continued in Japan until August 2000, with styling updates and the addition of HID headlamps in 1998.[4]

This 2003 Harley Davidson Soft tail FXST is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 2003 would mark the 100-year anniversary for the new world renowned bike company. The original design was a no frills race bike designed for durability and speed. The biggest revolution however would come in 1909 with the introduction of the V-twin, the same basic principal of today’s engines. This 03 has taken the V -twin to a whole new level. The 95 Screaming Eagle Engine has been topped off with a set of Screaming Eagle heads, stuffed with a set of 10.5: 1 pistons a SE 257 Cam adjustable push rods and a 42MM Mikuni carb finish up the engine build. The Vance & Hines Pro Pipe header let this beast breath. The Screaming Eagle 6 Speed OD transmission lets you click off the gears at ease. Using Fat Boy Fenders with the front narrowed 2.5 inches this bike has a look all to itself. The wheels on this 03 complete the look with their taller than stock stature. The hooligan wheels are some of the best of I have seen with a 21” on the front and an 18” on the back that has matching pulley and rotors. Then of course there is all that chrome, from the engine fully detailed out to the chrome brake calipers if you don’t hear it pull up you will certainly see it when it parks. If you have wanted a great riding awesome running Hawg that is sure to get your motor running your search is over. There is a surprising amount of room to stretch out to enjoy longer drives, and the seats have a very plush feel while still providing ample support. The engine fires up smoothly, eager to run. The transmission seamlessly slides from gear to gear, giving you the true feeling of luxury in this wonderful machine. The Arctic white clear coat shines like a diamond in the sun. Options include: Manual convertible top, AM/FM/CD/Cassette, Removable Hard Top, Power Windows, Power Brakes, Power Seats, Power Seats, Air Conditioning, and Power Door Locks. Description:

For 1985, GM dropped the 252-cu.in. V-6 and made the 307-cu.in. V-8 the standard engine across the entire Riviera lineup. The turbocharged V-6 remained an available option on the convertible, with its price reduced to $735, but a mere 49 customers checked this particular option box. For the Riviera convertible's final year on the market, GM built just 400 examples in total, priced from $26,797. With options piled on, however, it was relatively easy to price a Riviera convertible well beyond the $30,000 mark. After four years of production and 3,898 units assembled, GM pulled the plug on the Riviera convertible following the 1985 model year. While neither the Riviera nor its slightly upscale sibling, the Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible, introduced in 1984, were a commercial success, both foretold the return of the convertible to the U.S. market, and more mainstream models would soon follow.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is very excited to offer this 1965 Volkswagen Walkthrough 21 Window Bus Tribute. We use the term build quite often in this business. Frankly,it is over used. This bus is a true build. Passionately put together by a true automobile enthusiast who spared no expense when designing this Dream Bus. The goal was to create a show winning transporter. Completed in early 2018 the bus has won first place awards in both shows entered. The prestigious Lakeland VW Classic in March of 2018 and the New York City Volkswagen Governor’s Island Traffic Jam Show. He started with a 11 window German made Walkthrough bus. This is important because buses that were made in other countries often used inferior parts. The exterior is finished in Porsche Meissen Blue and Volkswagen Pearl white. It features custom Porsche 356 rockers and Bumper trim along with Euro style Clear turn signal lenses with yellow bulbs. Those are European Bumpers by the way. There are also two complete sets of wheels one with white walls and the black wall tires that are on the bus currently. The owner tells me that they are more at home on the highway than the whitewalls but that the whitewalls look too good on the bus to pass them up. Adding to the coolness of this bus the vehicle was lowered two inches. Other suspension mods include adjustable Koni shocks, a custom sway bar, front disc brakes and a rebuilt steering box. Everything is concourse quality. The engine is a GEX Custom 1915cc and the Rancho Freeway Flyer 3:88 transmission are both brand new. The motor is equipped with a deep sump oil pan and an auxiliary oil cooler and fan. A custom exhaust system delivers a perfect air cooled sound. The interior features custom upholstery using period correct vinyl and German cloth. Custom Porsche 356 German Square Weave carpet was used throughout along with Dynamat sound proofing as well. The bus has a 12 volt electrical system with an Optima yellow top dry cell battery. The sound system features a Retro Sound Radio with Bluetooth. The engine firewall upholstery is custom Diamond Stitched. The dash has been custom painted also in Porsche Meissen Blue and houses a complete set of custom gauges. Including Temperature and oil pressure. It also has a Deluxe original VW clock and a power outlet under the middle seat. Check out the basket cup holder. The best interior option by far is the 8000 BTU air conditioning unit that is located under the rear seat and is powered by a Honda 2200i Inverter generator that is custom installed. Seat belts were also added as they were not standard in 1965. The front windows are safari type and the side are Pop Outs. All the windows are custom tinted. Check out the size of the sunroof, Let The Sun Shine In! In the rear cargo area there are Porsche 356 luggage brackets, leather straps and even a piece of vintage Luggage. The bus is also equipped with a Blaze Cut fire suppression system. There have been approximately 3300 miles put on the bus since its completion with all maintenance and tuning done by Dougherty’s Automotive. They are Porsche experts located in West Chester, Pa. Description:

Now available in our Philadelphia location is a 1957 Chevrolet Corvette with fuel injection. This car is still very much as it was when the restoration was completed less than 100 miles ago, and it offers an unbeatable combination of performance and good looks. To many, this is exactly what the mental picture of a 1957 Corvette describes: red on black, fuel injection, 4-speed and ready to go to a new home. The ’57 Corvette was the last of the single-headlight series. They featured many new performance options including 245- and 270-hp V8s with single or dual 4-bbl carbs; and the injected 250-hp and 283-hp engines. This one has the 283 CI 283 HP V8. GM built 6,339 1957 Corvettes. 713 cars were ordered with RPO 579B (11% of the cars built), which was the option code for the 283/283, a high-lift cam and Rochester fuel injection, like our car. Wearing a set of bias ply tires just like it did in 1957 this car goes down the road just like it did in 1957. This is one of the first cars that Detroit produced that was delivering a horse power per inch. The fulie Corvettes are legendary with enthusiasts and are sure to be the focus of attention at any show. To view this 1957 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1961 Chevrolet Impala. 1961 saw the first year of the third generation for the successful Impala. The new design was trimmer and boxier than its predecessor. While there were a few different trims for 1961 what we have here is the sport coupe which offered a thin rear roof pillar and an oversized rear window. In time this is what enthusiasts would come to call the bubbletop. Highly sought after by collectors for their design and value, these specific Impalas are easily identified and turn heads everywhere! This fine example upon approach you are dazzled with light glinting off the chrome and fresh Black paint. The stance of this car is right because of the airbags on all four corners. This car can go from low rider to hot rod is about 10 seconds flat. The giant chrome rims with the low profile tires really set the car off. No matter the angle, front to back you can easily see the time and care that went into the build. Under the hood is a massive 502 CI V8 mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. This car sounds meaner than anything on the road and will surely scare of the pretenders just by revving her up at the line. The exterior paint is gorgeous and other than a little wax and elbow grease needs nothing. The black leather interior looks like new and is as comfortable as it gets. Lift the console and underneath is the switches for the airbags. This restomodded bubbletop is as nice as they come and youll have to see it to believe it. Options on this 1961 Chevrolet Impala include: AC, AM/FM/CD, Leather, Airbags, Power Brakes, Power Steering and Aftermarket Wheels w/ Radial Tires. Description:

For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is this iconic Mercedes Benz 190SL. Known as the “little brother” to the 300SL, the 190SL shared many styling cues, engineering, and suspension designs. With that said, this Benz was a very impressive car upon its debut. The prototype 190SL was first unveiled at the 1954 New York Auto Show and put into production the following year. This sleek classic is easily recognizable from a distance. Back in the showroom after over 50 years, this SL is even more desirable than it was when it first came out, and an even better investment. These cars are only going to appreciate in years to come. Whether you want a gorgeous garage queen, a safe investment, or a Sunday roadster to drive with the top down, this car can be all three. The wide white wall tires accent the cream exterior and tan interior superbly. The seats are very comfortable and the interior is in fantastic shape. The paint shows very well and looks excellent. This driver quality car is one that should be shown off to others and enjoyed. Drop the top and take it anywhere you can think of, because you will be making excuses to take this out of the garage! Don’t miss this chance to make a solid investment in this classic roadster! To see 100+ HD pictures and videos of this Mercedes Benz 190SL, please visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Houston is thrilled to offer this sizzling Centennial Silver 1999 Shelby Series 1 for sale! For those unfamiliar with Carroll Shelbys Series 1, it is one of the most unique cars that Shelby put his name on. For starters, the Series 1 was the first and only car designed, engineered and built from the ground up, as a Shelby, by Shelby American and Carroll Shelby. Every major component that went into building the Series 1 was designed specifically for it, including the modified Oldsmobile Aurora V8 320hp engine and custom ZF 6-speed manual transaxle. Its extruded aluminum frame features aluminum honeycomb reinforcement panels and is covered in carbon fiber and fiberglass laminate body panels - a first in an American car. This car is #CSX 5031, is one of just 249 produced, and was assembled at Shelbys Las Vegas facility in 1999. The Centennial Silver looks just right on this car, and the blue racing stripes that run from the chin spoiler to the top of the rear duckbill spoiler add just the right touch, combining to say this runs better than it looks. Unlike any other vehicle that sports Shelbys name, this one started with a clean sheet of paper and Shelbys vision for what the ultimate street-legal racing car should be. Equipped with modern passenger car amenities, including Air Conditioning, AM/FM/CD/Cassette Radio (8-speaker 200 watt Delco Monsoon), Cruise Control, Intermittent Wipers, Leather-wrapped Momo Steering Wheel with Tilt, Power Brakes, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, Power Steering, and Power Windows, the Series 1 was pretty loaded for whats almost a purpose built race car; yet, its one youd be driving yourself to and from the race track in (and having too much fun getting there, most likely). The high back, well bolstered manual bucket seats (with their 3-point belts) keep driver and passenger snugly in place during high speed maneuvers, and fit most body types well...except the very tall, as you can read in some articles by various members of the automotive press - if youre approaching 6 5, you may need different seats. The Shelby Series 1 in this offering sports the above amenities, without any custom/special-ordered options. The controls all fall well into hand (and to feet), making this car a dream to drive fast on a good road course. The 18 diameter Shelby wheels are made by Speedline and were considered rather large back in 1999. With 18x10s up front and 18x12s in the back, Shelby Series 1 cars were putting serious rubber patches on the pavement with the OEM Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires. However, this Series 1 is equipped with BF Goodrich G-Force T/A Drag Radials at all four corners (P275-35R18 up front, P345/30R18 out back). This amounts to the kind of rubber contact that youll get if you put some track slicks on it...avoid the rain, but in the dry, most drivers wont be able to reach the limits of the cars handling prowess. If you do happen to head out for a jaunt without checking the weather forecast though, youll appreciate the fact that the convertible top is practically unused, so put it up, slow down (a lot), and you can make it home dry! There are plenty of magazine articles about this car, and perhaps one of the most informative (and fun to read) was done by MotorTrend. If you want a track-driven expose, read that one - it will make you want this car even more! Dont miss out on a very rare supercar, one that was designed and built by Carroll Shelby himself - give us a call or email us before you miss out on this one! For more information on this very rare 1999 Shelby Series 1 for sale, to see all the HD pictures and videos of it, copy the URL below, and see it at this direct link: https://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/show/HOU/1896. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is excited to offer this very unique 1940 Ford Super Deluxe Flower Car once again. If youre scratching your head thinking Ive never seen one of those before! Its probably because you most likely have not. This 1940 Ford Deluxe was produced by the Ford Motor Company and then converted by The Eureka Manufacturing Company of Rock Falls Illinois into a flower car. Essentially starting out as a 5-window coupe, the conversion lengthened the chassis and the convertible rear casket compartment was created with metal rollers and pins to store the side rails that would hold flowers in place. This car had a dual use of being enclosed with the original canvas cover for the less elaborate funerals and having the rear compartment cover removed and side rails installed for a more elaborate send off. Flower cars were popular during the middle of the century and now are rarely seen in modern funerals. While most if not all of these conversions done by Eureka were on General Motors vehicles this one being a Ford and not a Packard or Cadillac makes this highly obscure and is believed to be the only one ever made. This car was purchased new in 1940 and check out the original photos of the car being delivered. Now fast forward to now and you will notice that not much has really changed. This is an original, unmolested, unrestored car that still retains the original paint, original canvas cover, original interior and powertrain. Now is your chance to own something that nobody else has and enter the world of Professional Car Collectors. Surely this will be the only one at whatever show you attend and thanks to years of maintenance and recent service work performed this car is ready for the road and will cruise at highway speeds. New parts include brake shoes, wheel and master cylinders, brake hoses, rear axle seals, new points set, fuel tank, fuel pump and carburetor overhaul. Located in our Chicago showroom, this 1940 Ford Deluxe Flower Car can be seen including an HD video and pictures at www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
