Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a one of a kind 1981 Chevrolet Corvette. Kick on Rick Springfield’s “Jessie’s Girl” or Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” and hop into this time machine which will take you back to 1981. This beauty is a two-owner cream puff with only 49,064 original miles on the odometer. This car has been with the same owner since 1991 and has been lovingly cared for like a member of the family. The car has received recent maintenance in the form of new brakes, shocks, struts, tires, exhaust, and a recharge for the AC. The color scheme is straight from ’81 with beige on the exterior and dark red interior. Unique to this Vette are the cloth seats which are rare to find in a Corvette. Much like fashion trends like leg warmers and members only jackets circle back into popularity every few years, the color scheme on this particular Vette is just so vintage that it looks current. Collector vehicles from this time period make great collectibles because they’re old enough to have the classic look people desire, but new enough to have modern driving characteristics and amenities. One could drive a car like this everyday to work like a modern car, or keep it tucked away waiting for a sunny weekend to be uncovered and shown to the world. For the car trivia buffs out there, 1981 was the first year which Corvette production was split between St. Louis and the new Bowling Green Kentucky plant. Own a little piece of Corvette history with this ’81. You can see this 1981 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at https://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/STL/7897/. Description:

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1999 Chevrolet Corvette FRC, Fixed Roof Coupe. The FRC body style was kind of a rare bird and were predominately used for SCCA racing. The fixed roof added a lot of additional rigidity. This added rigidity would aid in reducing body flex and ideally keep the suspension in better alignment during hard cornering. Power still came from the wonderful LS1 pumping out an ultra reliable 345 horses. Shifting is accomplished via 6 speed manual transmission and was the only transmission available for the FRC. You also got the Z51 suspension package with the FRC. The FRC was also 80 pounds lighter than the targa roof coupe. Production was a mere 4,031 among the 33,270 Corvettes produced in 1999. Upon viewing this easy on the eyes Pewter painted Corvette, you would never guess it has 91,300 miles on the clock. That is due to some very loving owners. Well take a well cared for car with miles over a thrashed low mile car any day. The Corvette does have some tasteful mods that include, LED tail lights, wood trim package for the interior, Z06 replica wheels in Chrome, Chrome door sills, Stainless steel mufflers for some added muscle and near new high performance rubber. This is a very well maintained Corvette that packs a lot of bang for the buck! If youre easy on the pedal, you can come close to 30 mpg and if you stand on the fun pedal, you can hit 60 in 4.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 170MPH! Description:

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this 1977 Dodge Aspen. 1977 was the second year of the Aspen with little changes. A few options were available to include the R/T package adding a “Super Pak” option. This consisted of front and rear spoilers, wheel opening flares and louvred rear windows. A new stripe kit was also added as well. An R/T equipped with this package became a Super R/T”. This Aspen is powered by a 340 CID V8 that has plenty of power for this little car. The engine is paired to a new 4-speed manual transmission and has also had a new carburetor installed by Tech Auto. This car is a good driver quality car with a lot of potential. The interior is in good condition and makes this a much more unique vehicle. This Dodge Aspen is a classic that is what I would qualify as a “sleeper car” with the light weight, rugged looks, and powerful engine, it’s sure to throw those little Mustangs and Camaros for a loop. Some additional features include: power steering, power brakes, A/C, seatbelts, and much more. Description:

Gateway classic cars is proud to offer this extremely low mile original 1983 Buick Regal Limited. The original cream paint still looks brand new. It has only been driven 7390 miles, but theres very little evidence of it and youll be pleasantly surprised by just how good build quality was in 1985. Those big doors close with ease and thanks to healthy rubber weather seals, the interior is as quiet as a tomb. The vinyl half-roof adds some formality, and after seeing all those blacked-out Grand Nationals at every show, this one proudly wears a ton of chrome, all of which remains in very good overall condition. The interior is in fantastic condition. It appears to be almost entirely original, but its obvious that someone took exceptionally good care of it throughout its life. Its almost impossible to see where anyones posterior has been, because the drivers seat is firm, the steering wheel is like new, and theres not even a little depression where youd rest your elbow on the center armrest. The carpets shows minimal wear thats probably inevitable on the deep pile they used in 85, and the burled walnut appliques actually look pretty convincing. Options include power windows, factory A/C, a tilt steering column, cruise control, and an AM/FM/cassette radio, power brakes, power steering, cloth interior, white walls, radial tires. Buicks indestructible 3.8 liter V6 provides plenty of grunt in the upscale Regal and is as silky smooth as youd expect. It has been properly maintained, so everything works like it should and the car starts, idles, and runs very much like its 1985 all over again. Given the bulletproof reliability of Buicks 3.8, you can drive this car with confidence just as you might have in 1985. The 4-speed automatic transmission shifts beautifully and the overdrive and highway gears out back make this a super highway cruiser ready for a road trip. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer this iconic 1959 Edsel Ranger four door sedan for sale in our Arizona showroom. In 1958, after nearly $250M in development costs, Ford debuted the all-new Edsel as a new model priced between the Ford and Mercury line-up of cars. Unfortunately, this was also a recession year and many Americans put off buying a new car, or they didnt buy the higher priced models. Four sub-series appeared on showroom floors across the country - Ranger and Pacer (Ford-based) and Corsair and Citation (Mercury-based) plus a line of Ford-based wagons. Sales were way below projections so Ford entered 1959 with only two sub-series - the Ranger and the Corsair. This Ranger we have is very typical of what the average Edsel buyer was purchasing for reliable transportation. A four door sedan with a 292 V8, a three speed manual transmission (automatics were available),and power steering. a modern AM-FM radio looks original and brings a 50s vibe to the dash layout. Many options that were available were not ordered for this beautiful survivor car. Painted a beautiful shade of blue with a white top and moulding inserts, this car really is cool. The interior has been reupholstered in blue cloth and is a full-sized car in every sense of the word. When you clean this car up, youd better have plenty of chrome polish and whitewall tire cleaner for the new Coker radials! It runs well, shifts well, and looks awesome! Since its been here, people have asked what it is and most guess its a Buick or Oldsmobile. Buy this Edsel and youll probably be the only one at any show. Dare to be different, yet every mechanical part is easily found because theyre all the same as Ford! Let’s put this car in your home. Own a tangible piece of automotive history and purchase this 1959 Edsel Ranger for sale right now in our facility. The Synergy Green Metallic paint finish shines, while accented by a chrome engine bay and headers. This Ford has been put together with great care and performance in mind. The entire drive train on this T Bucket is powered by Ford. Powering this ’27 Ford is a 289cid Ford engine, rebuilt 030 over with 302 heads. The engine also has an Edelbrock intake and Edelbrock carburetor, as well as a Crane camshaft. This motor is mated to a smooth-shifting C5 Ford transmission. The driveshaft is a shortened 1992 mustang driveshaft. Backing up all of this is a 1989 Ford Ranger 10 bolt rear end with a 3.73 gear ratio. This T Bucket stops on a dime thanks to the 1976 Dodge Aspen rotors with 1979 GM Metric calipers. The fiberglass body on this car looks fantastic. The paint really pops in the pictures and only gets better in person. All of the chrome on this T Bucket shines and brings everything together very well. Description:

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this single family owned 1961 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight. These classic beauties make for great weekend cruisers and a Sunday driver. That is exactly what this car was used for through-out its lifetime. The current owners great grandfather drove this beauty to church every Sunday and kept in stored in a garage it’s whole life. Apart from some surface rust this car is a great survivor. This Old’s 98 is powered by the original and strong running 394 CID V8 also known as the “Sky Rocket” back in it’s prime. It’s stated by the owner of the vehicle that the mileage is original to the car. I will say based on condition of the car and the history it’s not impossible. With that type of mileage this car is only averaging 371 miles per year, THAT’S INSANE! The engine is paired to a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic transmission and is a breeze to drive. The interior remains in very good condition considering the age of the classic. With the blue cloth interior and original instrument panel this car really puts you back into the ‘60s. Something very cool is the vintage radio still working in the car. Unlike modern radios, this one takes a moment to warm up prior to your favorite tunes coming on. They really did a great job with the attention to detail in the 60s to include the intricate “Oldsmobile” badging in the center of the steering wheel. Whether your looking for a nice cruiser or something to put your personal spin on, this is a great car for both options. Description:

We are excited to offer for sale in our Saint Louis Showroom this 1983 Oldsmobile Hurst/Olds. BACKGROUND: The 83’ Hurst/Olds was the 15th anniversary of the first Hurst/Olds introduced by Oldsmobile in 1968. The 1983 Hurst/Olds featured a color scheme of black cherry, silver rocker panels with red and silver pinstriping, a new Hurst/Olds emblem, and the introduction of the Hurst Lightning Rod floor shifter in the Oldsmobile lineup. The Hurst Lightning Rod shifter allows you to get the most out of the 307 V8 when the mood hits you. Plus, on days when you want to take it easy, just simply let the four-speed overdrive automatic shift itself. Power comes from an Oldsmobile modified version of their 307 CID V8 engine, the Hurst Lightning Rod shifter transfers the power to the 10-bolt rear end with 3.73 gears. The formal GM G-body shape works remarkably well with the aggressive Hurst upgrades (power bulge hood, rear spoiler, etc.) and removing all the chrome does wonders for the transformation from plush luxury cruiser to street brawler. Inside, the Hurst/Olds got bucket seats and a proper console, something few other Oldsmobile’s of the era can claim. The red cloth strikes a nice balance between premium and aggressive. Originally 2,500 of these Hurst/Olds were to be produced, that number was increased to 3,001 due to high demand from the public. The Hurst/Olds option was brought back in 1984 as well, likely because people just could not get enough of them. In 1984, 3,500 were built, and the color scheme was reversed (silver body and black rocker panels). The odometer on this 1983 Oldsmobile reads 60,697, which represents the actual mileage on the car. Options for this 1983 Oldsmobile Hurst/Olds include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, T-Tops, Cloth Interior, Cruise Control, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Power Windows, Power Driver’s Seat, Power Locks, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, and Rally Wheels. The G-Body Hurst/Olds (1983-1984) were not the quickest of the H/O family, going back to its beginning in 1968, but it certainly ranks highly against its fellow 1980’s era competitors in power, handling, and styling. To view this 1983 Oldsmobile Hurst/Olds in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis Showroom.
