Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is very proud to offer this Hemi Orange 1970 Plymouth Cuda AAR for sale. This numbers-matching beast is reputedly in the hands of its fourth owner, who has had it for 20 years. It was restored by its then second owner back in 1995 and has only been occasionally driven since then. The Cuda AAR was a one year only car for Plymouth, back in 1970. Originally built to assist Plymouth in their efforts to meet homologation requirements for SCCA Trans-Am racing series, the production AAR cars were designed to look just like the AAR racing cars campaigned by the All American Racers auto racing team that Dan Gurney and Carroll Shelby founded in 1964. The Cuda AAR Trans-Am cars were piloted primarily by Swede Savage and Dan Gurney during the 1970 season. They captured 3 poles and managed a runner up finish. With a production total of around 2724 units, these Cudas are not easy to find these days. The Cuda AAR cars all came standard with a 340 CID V8, topped by 3 two-barrel carbs, a special fiberglass hood (with functional scoop), special eyebrow front spoilers, a special Duck Wing rear spoiler, and side-exit exhaust; all of which were unique to the Cuda AAR variants. For SCCA Trans-Am racing, the 340 was de-stroked to 305 cubic inches to meet the 5.0-liter restriction imposed by the SCCA. The 340 six barrel was rated at 290 HP and 335 LB-FT of torque, but most pundits believe those figures were underrated vs. actual output. This Cuda AAR was restored in its original Hemi Orange exterior color and is complete with all of the exterior features that are common to the Cuda AAR family. In addition to the AAR-specific power train, it has Power Brakes and Power Steering, and the staggered wheel/tire combination with its Rallye Wheels wrapped in P235/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/A radials up front and P255/60R15s out back. Inside it has a nicely preserved black interior, complete with high-back woven vinyl bucket seats up front and woven vinyl bench in back, Rallye Instrument Cluster Package, Pistol Grip Hurst shifter, AM radio, seat belts, and black carpet. This Cuda AAR also has a rear window defroster, which is a rare option. It also recently was updated mechanically, with a complete rebuild and re-sync of the carburetors, new starter, new water pump, new electronic ignition distributor, and new spark plugs and wires; so shes ready to hit the road for those cruises to the car shows. Dont let this rare beast slip through your fingers! For more information on this 1970 Plymouth Cuda AAR for sale, to see all the HD pictures and videos of it, copy the URL below, and see it at this direct link: https://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/show/HOU/1693 . Alternatively, if you want to see it in person, come to our Houston Showroom, located at 1910 Cypress Station Dr, Bldg 200, Houston, TX 77090. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer this truly one of a kind new (yes, new - read on) 1932 Ford Roadster. This car has a builder VIN, as it was made from the ground up by a team of master builders in Texas. It consists of an all steel body, covered in a unique - as in, you cant buy it or get it mixed (unless you buy this car, whereupon its builder will give you the paint recipe), custom-mixed PPG Global Cashmere brown paint, with Biscuit racing stripes and orange pinstriping outlining the racing stripes. It has Rootlib 25 louver side panels which open fully, along with its Rootlib hood, and custom-built rear body corners. Its frame consists of American Stamping frame rails, with a fully-boxed custom built center section chassis that has been stretched 1.5 at the front cross member. The chassis is pinched in the front and lowered one inch, and the frame rails have also been pinched at the rear to fit the two inch spreader bar. Its spreader bars front and rear are 1/4 inch polished stainless. This is a true builder car! However, its not all show...it has plenty of GO, too! Under the hood is a built GM Performance 300HP V8 Chevy crate motor, complete with a roller camshaft, 4 bolt main block, once piece rear main seal, and Vortec heads. This mighty mouse motor sends its twist out through a TKO 500 Five Speed Transmission, complete with an aluminum bellhousing, McLeod clutch and pressure plate, and McLeod heavy duty hydraulic throwout bearing. Aft of the 5-speed trans is a 2 4130 Cro-Moly custom built drive shaft that spins its Winters Quick Change polished rear end, with its mini V8 tapered side bells. With only minor effort, its easy to pull the gear set, reverse it, and reinsert it, and you can switch from its highway ratio (3.48:1) to its strip ratio (4.11:1) gears. Of course, once you get to triple-digit speed in seconds, youll want to feel comfortable that you can get back down to school zone speeds just as quickly. This car is made for that, with Wilwood disc brakes all four corners: this beauty has a Wilwood master cylinder providing more than sufficient grunt to its polished multi-piston calipers, which grab the drilled and slotted vented rotors. Up front, youll find a Posies front spring, Super Bell oval drilled aluminum polished axle, with Bilstein shocks; and out back, are fully adjustable Bilstein coil overs. Keeping this new old rod firmly glued to the pavement are some virtually new Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires, wrapped around some custom Budnik Maroc 3 wheels with satin centers and polished rims: l7xlO rears, l5x6 fronts. Underneath, youll find a handmade 2.5 stainless exhaust, dumping over the rear axle, and sounding plenty nasty when the tach is winding to redline. Inside, theres a custom Budnik steering wheel sitting atop an Ididit polished steering column. Its 32 dash has a custom-built recessed insert, and is complete with AutoMeter Cruiser AD Series gauges, including a fully-electronic speedo. The passengers can ride in comfort in its dark brown leather and tweed interior, complete with Lebaron Bonney Carpet and floor mats. When you want to go topless (and you will), it has a lift off top. Simply undo a couple of bolts, and lift the 304 stainless frame with its Hartz Stayfast cloth top right off. Youre sure to love its custom windshield, with the 3 chop of its polished stainless posts executed flawlessly. Its Hagen Fatty mirrors let you keep track of your blind spots (as if there were any to begin with). With all of this hand-crafting, one might think this was built for show only. However, this is no trailer or show queen: it was driven from Spring, TX to Los Angeles for the 50th Anniversary Roadster Show. It was displayed throughout the show by Alan Budnik Wheels, where it received a TON of attention due to acute precision and unique qualities, one of which was its unique color. As a matter of record, the color of this 1932 Roadster was picked by many top professionals as one of the best-looking color choices ever seen on a 1932. Note from its builder: As a professional street rod builder, we had two things in mind when we built our 32: First, build a dependable car that can be driven anywhere. Second, prove its reliability by driving it 3600 miles from Texas to the LA Roadster Show. And I must say, she definitely proved to be no trailer queen...Driving at 70-80 MPH and averaging 22 MPG of gas, we sailed through the rain, wind, heat, and cold...and lets not forget the pounding sands of the Mojave. In conclusion: Our final goal was to offer the car to someone who would appreciate the craftsmanship and the quality of a hand-built car. This Roadster is a dependable piece of art - a jewel in the eye of any collector. And guaranteed -- to turn the heads of anyone in the automotive industry. This Chevelle is not our ordinary car. Its powered by a 540 Chevrolet Big Block backed up by a 200 4R Transmission. This frame off restoration was recently completed with no expense spared. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is presenting a 1970 Shelby GT 350 for sale. This is a mostly original non restored car. Originally a four-speed car it has been converted to an automatic. This Shelby is equipped with a 351 CI V8. This car is well optioned with air conditioning, power steering and power brakes. This Shelby features a Red exterior finish with Gold side striping and a Black Deluxe Shelby leather interior with Black carpeting. Original 15x7-inch Shelby Mag wheels, as well as a factory original front chin spoiler and a pair of hood stripes exclusive to the 1970 model year complete the Shelby styling. In 1970, fresh off five years of success, Ford and Shelby combined to produce their most potent GT 350 Mustang edition to date. The 1970 Shelby GT350 Fastback would be the last of its kind, new and more strict U.S. pollution controls would force Ford to end production of its legendary race car for the road or face serious fines. Only 789 examples of the GT350 were produced for the 1970 model year. Almost all the 1970 Shelbys were basically leftover from the 1969 model year, and were, under the strict supervision of the FBI, issued new VIN numbers. That last-of-its-kind detail has always made the 1970 a more desirable piece among Shelby enthusiast and collectors. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer this 1955 Chevrolet Apache for sale. This truck has had very extensive work done to it and is in extremely good condition. All the work has been performed by Ekstensive Metal Works. Ekstensive Metal Works is better known by their TV show name Texas Metal, which airs on the Velocity channel. Under and through the hood of this super clean truck is a Weiand supercharged 502 CID V8 that runs just as well as it looks. Sending the power to the rear end is a Turbo-400 three-speed transmission. The rear end is a 9 ford that is finished in a gloss black paint. The hood cut-out provides room for the blower and intake to stick through and gives a shaker hood feel to the front of the truck. The massive blower provides an intoxicating whine even when sitting at idle and rivals the volume of the already loud exhaust system which features electric cutouts that dump at the headers. Feeding the gigantic 6-71 blower are two Holley four-barrel carburetors that ensure this beauty doesn’t run out of fuel to burn when under full boost. The fuel is sent to the engine via a polished new fuel tank that enhances the underbody of the truck. Setting the stance of the truck are adjustable coil-over shocks. The truck sits atop polished alloy Intro brand wheels wrapped in Pirelli performance tires. The front tires are 265/30 ZR22 and the rears are 405/25 ZR24. To put the rear tire size into perspective, the widest tires on a production car are on a Lamborghini Aventador SV... and theyre only 355mm wide. When it comes time to stop those massive tires, the driver will appreciate the drilled and slotted Willwood front and rear disc brakes with black painted calipers. Moving outward, the exterior of this truck is in near perfect condition. All the chrome is very nice and in like new condition. The Sierra Sand colored paint is in excellent shape with almost no blemishes or imperfections. The bed wood has been replaced and is in very good condition as well with a deep stain to accent the bed from the paint. Overall, the exterior of this truck is almost perfect. Moving inward, getting into the truck is made classy by the suicide doors. Upon entering the vehicle, the driver will be greeted by light tan leather throughout and a tilt steering wheel. The doors feature a simple, yet elegant stitching pattern that reminds the driver that theyre in a very well-built resto-mod. The leather bucket seats are very comfortable and spacious. Sitting between the two seats is a leather wrapped center console that houses the shifter. The dash of the truck is paint matched to the body and is in just as good condition. This truck also features power brakes and steering for comfortable cruising. Tucked in the dash is a modern CD player/radio that adds to the modern comfort of this beauty. Overall, this is an extremely well-done truck and is probably one of the finest examples of a resto-mod Chevrolet Apache around. Description:

For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a rare 1961 fuel injected Chevrolet Corvette. This vehicle went through a frame off restoration around 1985, and is still in excellent condition after all this time. This Fuelie car is equipped with the 315hp 283 CID V8, mated to the T10 4 speed manual and a 4.11 positrac rear end. The block, heads, manifolds, fuel injection unit, transmission, and rear end are all date correct, but it is uncertain what parts are numbers matching. The Honduras Maroon paint is in good driver condition overall. The glass in the doors and on the windshield is in great shape. The chrome on the car is in good condition, with no major scratches or blemishes. The rubber molding is also in good condition, with only a few places experiencing cracking or breakage. The interior is again in overall great shape. A few of the painted surfaces have wear spots and chips, but nothing unusual for the age of this restoration. The black leather seats are in great shape with no major cracking or discoloration. The Wonderbar AM radio works, as do all of the lights and signals. The only item on the interior that does not work is the clock. A previous owner was an NCRS member, and was in the process of building the car for flight judging, but other interests took precedence. Pick up where they left off, or simply enjoy having a very special cruiser! 1968 CHEVELLE SS RESTOMOD

TRUE SS 138 VIN NOT A CLONE

SHOWROOM CONDITION

OVER $140,000.00 TO BUILD !!!

READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION
There are certain custom classic cars that you can look at just once and your heart melts into your stomach. A certain color combination or that perfect stance that just screams 'muscle car'! The gorgeous machine that you are looking at now is one of those cars.

HOLLYWOOD MOTORS is proud to offer you this absolutely gorgeous 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 496 Resto-Mod Custom! This Chevelle is an absolute show-stopper folks! Built in Southern Utah over the last several years, the idea was to build a brutally fast '68 Chevelle show car w/ all of the creature comforts needed for a truly enjoyable ride. I can safely say that they succeeded on all levels! All receipts/paperwork from the custom build have been meticulously recorded, with a total build cost of $139,000! It all started w/ a super-clean Fremont, CA. built '68 Chevelle SS that retained all of its 100% rust-free sheet metal, and then the transformation began. Countless man-hours were spent making sure that all of the body panels fit nicely and that all of the sheet metal was laser straight all of the way around the car. She was then finished in a gorgeous shade of GM Red Jewel base-coat/clear-coat, which was then buffed & polished to a lustrous shine. This color really has to be seen in person to appreciate how truly gorgeous it is. It absolutely 'POPS' like no other color that I've ever seen on a Chevelle. A new black vinyl roof was added, which looks excellent w/ the beautiful Red Jewel paint. All of the chrome & stainless trim is new and in show-quality condition throughout. Again, the stance is absolutely perfect, as she sits on polished Billet Specialties Daytona Pro-Touring wheels (20” on the rear & 18” up front) wrapped w/ Falken Azenis FK510 radial tires (285/35/ZR20 on the rear & 255/35/ZR18 up front). You can walk around this beautiful '68 Chevelle a hundred times and you will not find a bad angle. She looks just right, period. The undercarriage is beautifully detailed w/ all new suspension & chassis components by Speedtech Performance, including: Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes, Currie 12-bolt rear-end w/ 3.73 gear ratio, double adjustable coil-overs front & back, upper & lower control arms, trailing arm kit, tubular sway bars, tie-rods, modified cross member, modified trans mount, steering components, bushings, custom-made 3” stainless exhaust system, custom fuel cell, and on & on! Lots of custom modification work was done making sure that everything fit just right (see undercarriage photos).

Open the driver's door and you will find a beautiful two-tone black & red custom bucket-seat interior w/ factory console done by custom interior guru Scott Tesch @ Stitchcraft, which was designed w/ driver comfort in mind. Interior features include: black leather Corbeau Racing Seats w/ red suede inserts, black suede headliner, Detroit Digital red-lit gauges, tilt-steering column, wrapped Billet Specialties steering wheel, factory center console w/ factory shifter, Vintage air conditioning & heat, Vintage Audio AM/FM/USB/Bluetooth receiver, (4) 6” coaxial speakers, (2) 2” tweeters, (2) 12” subwoofers (mounted in the trunk), (1) Alpine PDR-F50 500 watt amplifier and (1) Alpine PDR-M65 650-watt amplifier for subwoofers (both mounted in the trunk), custom SS 496 badging, black GM seat belts, etc. All of the gauges, lights, blinkers, AC/heat, sound system, etc are in perfect working condition. The interior is extremely comfortable and highly functional in every way. The trunk area is beautifully finished in matching black leather & red suede w/ the (2) Alpine power amps custom-mounted in back. Again, both the interior and the trunk area are highly functional and extremely elegant in design.

Now, let's get to the heart of this beast, shall we?

Pop open the hood and nestled inside the beautifully detailed engine bay resides the MKIV 454ci BBC motor custom built by Snow Performance, which was punched out to a massive 496 cubic-inches! Every single part inside this motor is brand new & only top-quality components were used, which is 100% documented by all of the build receipts. Other features include: Billet Specialties BBC black machined valve covers w/ matching Billet Specialties black air cleaner assembly, Patriot aluminum heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake manifold, Quick Fuel 780cfm carburetor, Street Fire HEI distributor, Comp racing cam, Patriot headers, Billet Specialties serpentine system, Moroso deep oil pan, Performance Rod & Custom radiator/condenser/transmission cooler w/ (2) 16” electronic pal fans, etc. Again, all internal components such as rods, springs, roller rockers, etc., are all brand new & top quality only. The 496ci BBC motor is linked to a TH400 automatic transmission, which was custom built by Mike's Transmissions in Lancaster, CA. which features a 3,500 stall-converter. The second you fire this custom '68 Chevelle SS 496 up you instantly realize what a 'serious' car that you are sitting in. She runs, drives & performs beautifully in every way, and is extremely FAST! The custom-built 3” stainless exhaust system sounds absolutely amazing and matches how the car looks & performs. The built TH400 shifts tight & precise, and pushes you back 'hard' in your seat when you apply your right foot down firmly. The Performance Rod & Custom cooling system keeps her running nice & cool even in 100+ degree summer weather.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Dallas is pleased to offer once stunning 1961 Chevrolet Corvette. This Frame-Off Restoration has been completed in Honduras Maroon/Black Interior. Currently, a Show car that can be driven near anywhere, she was a Blue Plate California Car and has 140K Original Miles on the chassis, about 20,000 on the restoration. The previous owner bought this car in 1965 from the original owner, a school teacher woman in his hometown. At the time the second owner was living in New Jersey and had a one-car garage where this Corvette spent the majority of its life as a weekend type of car. He had other cars as drivers but did drive the car. In 1975 he moved to Newport Beach, CA. Thus the Blue CA plates. The car has primarily been in the Huntington Beach area over the last 43 years. The 1961 Corvette featured here is a really nice specimen of a very original car. In 1992 the Previous owner decided to do a body-off restoration at around 120K miles. He took the car out to Jay Jorgensen, at Classic Corvette, Inc in Riverside, CA. (later known as California Street Design). The car body was removed from the frame and completely stripped. The solid original rust-free frame (see photos of restoration near the end of the pictures) was sandblasted to remove old paint and surface rust and was then powder coated. The cars paint was completely reconditioned along with all the chrome plating on the car. Most of the emblems were replaced with NOS emblems. During the build, the following items were attended to Complete removal of body, stripped, reworked and repainted, Frame Powder Coated, Wheels Stripped and Repainted, Complete New Exhaust System, Complete New Front End, New Shocks Front/Rear, Complete New Wiring Harness, New Drive Shaft, Complete Rechrome, New Windshield, New Weather Strip and Felt, New Shocks Front and Rear, New Brakes, New Carpet / Sun Visors / New Trunk Mat, Brand New Top / Top Kit, New Light Bulbs, Full Tune-Up of Engine. The engine is a Corvette 327/350 that replaced the original 283 dual-carb setup at 80K miles. That would put the mileage on the 327 at 60K miles. He changed the oil once a year religiously since he has owned the car.m In 2006 the Carburetor was completely rebuilt at 131K miles and a new battery was put in the car about a few years ago. All receipts and many pictures of the frame-off restoration come with the car. Body and Paint Lets make one thing perfectly clear, the number one thing to look for in any collector piece is the finest body possible. Factory original bodies on Corvettes are nearly impossible to find these days. This is an extremely straight bodied car, one of the finest I have seen. Take a look at the gaps all the way around the car and the bead around the rear end. Any bodywork was addressed during the restoration process and the work done was top notch. When the car was repainted it was stripped to the glass, primed, blocked judicially and painted. The paintwork on this car is extremely high-caliber and was done by a discriminating shop that knew what they were doing. There is easily $15K-worth of high-end paintwork on this automobile. There is no overspray anywhere to be found. The paint is flat and mirror-like and quite frankly is as good as it gets, with the exception of the small bubbling. All rubber and window felt appear to be like new and was replaced at the time of restoration. The front windshield was replaced during the restoration and the two side windows are original to the car. The chrome on the car is a solid overall 8.5 out of 10, with very minimal scratches anywhere to be found. The chrome bumpers have been redone, with a very small amount of pitting on some pieces. The trim and emblems are all newer from the restoration, however, they are in great shape. Instead of cheap replicas, they look to be NOS to me and representative of a life spent in a garage and carefully handled. We dont believe this engine has ever been apart and runs out as nicely as I have ever seen on a 327-350hp Vette engine. It idles smooth and does not smoke. It is a very strong running engine and almost feels like it is brand new. The Exhaust System is all brand new. The front-end was completely rebuilt and drives down the road straight as an arrow with no shakes, shimmies or rattles of any kind. At that time the lower ball joints were replaced, as well as tie-rod ends, installed new front and rear shocks. The brakes were completely rebuilt during the restoration. It stops with authority. The Hurst Three-Speed Manual shifts smoothly and the owner states it was in the car when he bought it. The Undercarriage is completely rust-free and in very tidy condition. It was stripped and powder coated front and rear during the restoration. Interior The Interior is a solid 8 out of 10 condition. The carpets were replaced during the restoration. The door panels look original to me and in a very nice driver condition. The dash was replaced during the resto. The convertible top was replaced during the restoration and has basically been down in the hole every since. The interior door sills are original to the car but add to the overall nice look of this rare vehicle. A Rare Original style Honduras Maroon Corvette in exceptionally nice above-average driver condition. This is a great way to own a wonderful old Corvette. Everything on this little gem is exceptional. It runs and drives extremely well and has a very tight feel to it. You would be very proud to present this Corvette at any local car shows or events. This is a car that would be a great show car or just a gorgeous and unique driver for cross-country driving or rallies.
