Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1931 Ford 5-Window Coupe. The Model A was one of Ford’s greatest successes, only bested by the predecessor the Model T. The “A” came in many shapes and sizes of the years with nearly 5 million being built in its generation from 1927 to 1931. One of those styles was the 5 Window Coupe, and its one of the most sought after today, some for originality, but mostly by hotrodders everywhere to make it into a street rod! Here we have one of those rare 5 window coupe street rods. Approaching the car, you see the light glinting off the Porsche red paint. Exterior is in good condition, you’ll like the Hoosier Hood, the ’32 Ford grille and the stainless exhaust and gas tank. The interior is grey cloth and in good shape. Under the hood is a 305 high output GM crate engine with power ran through a turbo 350 automatic transmission. Also holding this slick ride off the ground is a 4-bar suspension, coil over shocks and has a reversed-I-spring. Expanding on the build: the frame is new 2x3 Boxsteel with ¼” walls. The rear pan & drip rails are homemade, taillights from a ’39 Ford and trunk handle from a ’37 Ford. Front and rear fenders are from a ’28-29 Ford. The car offers heat and air but A/C is not currently working. Reason unsure. Top is off of a 1972 Monte Carlo. And the list goes on. Current owner has had this car for 50 years this year!!! Bought from a private owner locally out of Louisville, KY back in 1971. Car is titled as a 1931 Ford Coupe and is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now! Options on this Ford are: A/C, Power Steering, Power Brakes, CD Player, Allow Wheels and Radial Tires. This 1931 Ford 5-Window Coupe is offered by our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (812) 294-1555 or email us at louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer this stunning 1968 Chevrolet Corvette COPO convertible (with removable hardtop) for sale right now in our Arizona showroom, located in North Phoenix. While this C3 body style became synonymous with the Corvette name, it was considered bold in 1968 and was a radical, forward-thinking departure from the outgoing C2. The signature fiberglass body on this Corvette is painted in a luscious “British Green and its hard not to fall for the classic styling cues like the vacuum operated headlights, wrap-around front and rear bumpers and functional louvers behind the front wheels. This Corvette for sale is believed to be one-of-one in this color combination. For the first time ever in a Corvette, the removable hardtop (which is hard enough to find on its own!) had a glass rear window and there is a black convertible top that comes with this car as well, so you have three presentation options. This vehicle is a special find; its a Numbers-Matching (stated by the seller) vehicle with 3 owners from new and comes fully documented with original sales invoices, manuals, service history and more. This 1968 convertible even entered into the National Corvette Restorers Society (“NCRS) and received a Second Flight award for originality, barely missing out on Top Flight. The cast iron 327 CID V8, rated at 300hp from the factory, comes with a 4bbl carburetor and a torque rating of 360lb ft making this ‘Vette the definition of a great power-to-weight ratio! The 4-speed manual transmission provides a healthy amount of “Smiles Per Gallon as you make the most of the horses this all-American sports car has to offer. Inside, you are greeted with a nicely preserved “Tobacco brown colored vinyl interior that was special ordered from the factory. The contoured bucket seats are comfortable and housed between the center console is the shifter/parking brake lever, cigarette lighter/ashtray, heater controls, radio and several monitoring gauges. This dashing Corvette convertible for sale is an appreciating asset and its a fun driver- what more could you want from a classic car?! Now available in our Dallas-Showroom is this 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS-Convertible! 1972 Chevelle’s marked the end of the second generation of the Chevrolet Chevelle. Little was changed visually, except for an updated grille and new front parking lights to echo the removal of the split-bar grille. Trims offered were the base Chevelle and uprated Malibu. Body styles offered included sport coupe, sport sedan, four-door sedan, and convertible. The El Camino pickup was also still based on the Chevelle, and there were four wagon styles offered – Nomad, Greenbrier, Concours and Concours Estate. Buyers who opted for either SS trim could also get the ZL2 package, which included the cowl induction hood, wide racing stripes, and stand-out hood pins. The Heavy Chevy package continued from a 1971 debut and featured unique graphics and upgraded suspension components. It was available on any V-8 model but the SS 454. Description:

This 1947 Willy’s Army Replica Jeep is for sale in our Louisville KY. The Willy’s Jeep has been around since late 1940 delivered to the Army right before we entered WWII. They were an instant hit with service men and all they could talk about when they got home. Willy’s was way ahead of them with CJ2 with the CJ standing for Civilian Jeep. This 1947 CJ2 was built to replicate the original MB with a ton of time and money to make it as close to the real thing as possible. The green paint is exactly what you would expect with its flat look and covering everything in sight. The inline 4 was rebuilt and just like the original it runs like a clock. Of course, the 4-wheel drive works like a dream I mean it is a Jeep. Now for the fun stuff on this Army replica. First thing you notice is that huge 50 CAL gun that sits between the two seats. It has been fitted with a gas firing system much like the movies use. If you look down from the 50 you will notice 2 grenades that have been deactivated. IN the back you will notice a very correct CB radio that does work adding to the authenticity of this Army Jeep. The collapsible windshield has the classic Tommy Gun tucked away since there was no such thing as 2 many guns. With the popularity and interest in WWII memorabilia ion the rise this Jeep is sure to become the prized piece of someone’s collection. Options on this 1947 Willys Army Replica include, Bias Ply Tires and Steel Wheels To view this 1947 Jeep Willy’s including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to present this mesmerizing tribute to automotive styling- a 1960 Plymouth Belvedere 2-door Hardtop- for sale right now in our Arizona showroom, located in North Phoenix. With its low beltline, tall tail fins and futuristic looking roofline with plentiful glass this Plymouth gives you and onlookers plenty to admire. 1960 was also the first year for Chrysler products to feature a Uni-Body platform, improving performance and handling compared to its body-on-frame competition. Painted in a striking shade of Red with a White hardtop, this Belvedere has undergone a restoration and is mostly finished cosmetically. The White Wall tires with moon chrome hubcaps fit perfectly with the look of this pleasing Plymouth. These cars came with an option of either a Slant-6 engine or one or two V8s. This example houses the larger V8, the 361 CID, under the hood. The motor has been recently rebuilt and features a 4bbl Holley carburetor, power brakes, power steering, an aluminum radiator and Painless wiring system. The engine compartment itself is super clean, fully painted and presentable. A 2-speed automatic transmission that has been rebuilt but is “numbers matching to the car (according to the seller) is a stout but smooth-shifting unit. Inside this awesome ride keeps the futuristic look going with unique features like a horizontal speedometer, push-button transmission selector, and rear view mirror mounted on the dash. Additional gauges include fuel level and water temperature and a chrome horn ring keeps things classy. A stereo system with speakers added up front and in the back of this Plymouth will help you and the occupants of this 60 Belvedere rock out to your favorite throwbacks. White vinyl bench seats with seatbelts contrast well with the Red exterior color. This 1960 Plymouth Belvedere for sale features the kind of nostalgic styling that gets everyone looking, regardless if theyre a car enthusiast or not. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present a selection of gas dragsters Gassers for sale by our Indianapolis showroom. This one is a 1962 Chevrolet Nova based C/Gas dragster, and is powered by a 383 stroker driving through a manual valve body TH400 transmission to a 12 bolt positraction rear with 4.11:1 gears. The steel body is painted in red PPG paint and the interior is complete with rollcage, racing seats, and a racing harness. Here is some history for those who would like background on this exciting style of dragster. The term Gasser refers to a style of drag race car that was prolific in the late 1950s through the 1960s that ran on gasoline as fuel, as opposed to race fuel. These cars typically competed in heads up drag races that were classed by engine size and car weight. In the faster classes the cars used a straight axle front suspension that produced the intimidating stance that gassers are known for. Easily recognized by common features like the higher front end stance that was developed as a means of weight transfer to the rear wheels for traction, this style became popular later as builders attempted to achieve a traditional or nostalgic race look. These cars became fan favorites as the well-known racers began to run grudge matches for higher purses. In no time these matches were the top billing at many shows due to the crowd entertainment factor. Gassers were the top drag racing classes in the period that is now referred to as the gasser war years, which ranged from 1955 through 1968.In addition to the straight axle, most gassers also sported Halibrand wheels, no front bumper, and had a front mounted Moon tank. The gasser form was dictated by function and most builders looked to eliminate as much weight as possible. Having their exhaust pipes exit through the front fender to shorten the length of exhaust tubing is another common characteristic of gassers. Builders used 1930s through 1950s production coupes or sedans to create these highly modified racing vehicles. Late model cars were not allowed in the Gas classes until 1967, and the gas classes were totally eliminated by NHRA in 1972. They run today all over the United States and down under in Australia and New Zealand in vintage and nostalgia drags. To view this 1962 Chevrolet Nova gas dragster, please visit our site at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call 317-688-1100, or email us at indy@gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to offer this 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43. Produced from 1960 to 1984, the FJ43 is like an FJ40 for the person who craves a little extra cargo space. The FJ43s body is a foot longer than the FJ40! The FJ43 evolved from early Toyota BJ and J20 series 4x4s. These were copies of the classic US army Jeep during the Korean war. By 1960, Toyota had refined and perfected their recipe for the 4x4 runabout formula and deemed the FJ43 suitable for world export. This lovely Red FJ43 comes to us by way of Columbia and still powering it is the original numbers matching gasoline inline six-cylinder engine and mated to the original 3 speed manual with 4WD. This Truck appears to be blessed with a frame off restoration from top to bottom, inside and out. The old factory, canvas soft-top was replaced with a gray one that has the availability to roll open the side curtains for the rear passengers. The red painted exterior, gray top and painted gray accent pieces, became a combination that catches the eye and looks period correct. With a flick of the key, the 6-cylinder engine roars to life and pulls this little 4x4 down the road with minimal fuss. Its a plucky little truck with a borderline agricultural feel as it takes you back to that only the essentials driving experience FJ43s are known for. Its rugged, reliable, and has classic good looks! Everything youd want is a vintage 4x4! This 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 is for sale by our Atlanta Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
