Description:

Motorcar Classicsis proud to offer this historically significant 1959 Ferrari 250GT Coupe, Vin #1471. This car (cited in Wikipedia in Ferraris entry) has fully documented important history from new.Its provenance and bespoke features arguably make this 1959 Ferrari 250 GT coupthe best example of its kind in the World. Importance of the 250 GT coup to Ferrari: The understated elegance of this Ferrari coup singularly saved Ferrari, because Enzo Ferrari asked Pinin Farina to design a gentlemans car built on a racing chassis. It resulted in this 250GT coup, which quickly garnered praise of World leaders and industry titans, funding Ferraris racing team. The GT Coup eschewed the fender vents, for simple, clean lines and a notchback look with panoramic rear window. The oval grille was replaced by a more traditional long narrow look with protruding headlights. This elegant Pinin Farina coupon the 250GT chassis was among the earliest Ferrari series production cars, with 350 examples handcrafted between 1958 and 1960, occupying vin numbers 0841 to 2081. These cars could be ordered with subtle variations accommodating discerning customers tastes, although a very small handful such as this one was a show-cars constructed on the 250GT chassis.Royal Pedigree: Enzo handcrafted this Ferrari bespoke edition for his close friend, HRH Prince Bertil of Sweden, a connoisseur of fine motorcars. #1471 first appeared publicly at the Frankfurt Motor Show with accouterments shared by no other early Series I, 250 GT; including four-wheel disc breaks, a racing transmission with overdrive, and a passenger hand-hold for his Princess Lilian.Prince Bertil considered #1471 perfect, being a Gran Turismo allowing it to accommodate luggage while touring the Cte dAzur while vacationing at his Royal Villa Mirage in the South ofFrance. Engine Specifications: The original Colombo-designed Tipo 128C 3.0-liter engine was superseded by the twin-distributor 128D, which in turn was supplanted in 1960 by the outside-plug 128F engine, which replaced its predecessors siamesed inlets in favor of six separate ports. The Tipo 125C engine proved superbly capable both on the road and track, explaining its timelessness. With its triple Weber carburetor, it produced 240 horsepower, giving the 250GT a top speed of 150 mph, making it the fastest GT car available. Four-wheel disc brakes became optional in 1959 and a four-speed-plus-overdrive gearbox the following year.Mancini Report: This car, chassis number 1471GT, is a 250GT Series 1 Coup. It started life in May of 1959, when its bare chassis was sent to the Torino factory of Carrozzeria Pinin Farina, and clothed in Coupcoachwork. The seventh to last of the first series128D chassis. Because of specifications fron Enzo Ferrari, 1471GT was factory equipped with four wheel disc brakes, and the offset-lever four-speed overdrive transmission. It was finished in two-tone livery of Grigio Argento on the top, and a Bianco on its lower half. Inside was a contrasting Rossa hides and carpeting. The car was completed in October of 1959, and soon thereafter, directed to Delivery of HRH Prince Bertil of Sweden, delivered to the official Ferrari importer and agency of Sweden, Tore Bjurstrom. Soon after taking delivery, Mr. Bjurstrom had the car transported to Germany for display at the 1959 International German Motor Show - IAA in Frankfurt. After the show, the car returned to Sweden, so that HRH Prince Bertil, could take delivery in late 1959. The Duke of Halland, Prince Bertil Gustaf Oskar Carl Eugn was 47 years of age when he took delivery of his new Ferrari Pinin Farina Coup. After driving seasonally on the Cte dAzur, in 1961 1471GT was sold to Langdon Proctor, a respected Classic Automobile collector and highly successful European business executive residing in Switzerland during summers. 1471GT was registered in Switzerland specifically on Swiss canton Vaud license plate VD #106426, by Proctor and frequently driven by Proctor who resided in Chateau Le chteau de Bardonnex in Laussane. In November 1964, the Ferrari was returned to the factory in Maranello, where it was serviced and maintained at Ferraris factory Assistenza Clienti service center. At that point in history, the car had 53,190 kilometers on its odometer. In July 1964, Proctor had the car painted in silver in Laussane, Switzerland. In 1966, 1471GT accumulated 70,000 kilometers on its odometer, and had its engine removed for rebuild at Garaga Pesa SA in Lausanne, Switzerland. In the late 1960s, Langdon Proctor sold 1471GT to John Lindsay, an American residing in Switzerland seasonally. Mr. Lindsay gifted #1471 to his father, Hamlin Lindsay. In 1970, #1471 car was crated and shipped on M/V Atlantic Crown Ocean liner to NYC, New York, USA. Hamlin Lindsay occasionally showed #1471, and it 1974 its ownership reverted to Jon Lindsay. #1471 remained in his collection under his careful stewardship until 1983, when a San Francisco Executive purchased it, Marc Wilcoxen. Mr. Wilcoxen cared for #1471 for fifteen years, before selling it in July, 1999 to William Tipton, also of California. 1471GT remained in Mr. Tiptons stewardship for fifteen years. During that time, 1471GT was acquired by Kevin Pauza, of Naples and New York City in 2015, and began an extensive multi-year restoration, returning it to its original 1959 show presentation. Restorers in Italy, Califotrnia, and Texas participated. Ferrari Concourse Judge James Patterson, of Norwood Auto Italia prepared the car, restoring #1471 to its original configuration as presented at the 1959 Frankfurt Auto Show by Enzo Ferrari and HRH Prince Bertil of Sweden.#1471 250 GT may visit the manicured show lawns with its next steward for the first time, with its originally specified bianco, grigio, and contrasting rossa hides. Mancini report, documents, original tools, jack, and spare borrani wire remain with 1471. Your inspection is invited!

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is pleased to present this 3-owner 1941 Cadillac 62 Series 67D Coupe Convertible. This car is in very good overall condition and appears to have a repaint at some time in the past. The bumpers appear to have been replated, as the remaining emblems and trim are in good original condition, showing minimal patina. The consignor states this Convertible is number matching, powered by a 248-cu. in. Flat Head V-8 mated to a newly rebuilt 3-speed selective synchromesh manual transmission, with ~5,00-miles on it. This is what GCC would consider a very nice driver! She is painted in Black, with a Saddle power top, and Red leather interior. The red leather interior is in very good condition and appears to have a new quality pile carpet installed. The car has performed well over the years and has been regularly maintained, as it runs and drives like expected, the car doesnt need much to be enjoyed immediately. Styling was heavily emphasized for 41, and when new these opulent Cadillacs emerged looking quite distinctive. The prow-nose motif of the Thirties was gone and replaced by a blunter and more imposing frontal design that was highlighted by a dramatic horizontal egg-crate grille - a theme that has been continued to this day. The coffin-nose-style hood (evidence of the industry-wide effect of Cord styling) and the headlights integrated into the broader fenders separated it from all Cadillacs that had gone before. At the rear the fenders show squarer, the left taillight hides the gas-filler cap, and twin vertical bars divide the rear window into three segments. Three horizontal chrome speed stripes on the front and rear fenders of this model help promote the theory of movement while standing still. Option on this 41 62 Series 67-D Convertible includes; leather interior, power top, am radio, spare tire, jack, hub caps, wide whitewall radial tires. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this numbers matching 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS Z28 RS for sale in the Indianapolis showroom. This gorgeous red exterior and black vinyl interior Z28 was frame off restored approximately 15 years ago at approximately 49,000 original miles. The current owner has put the remainder of the miles (it currently shows 49,576 miles) on the vehicle in the last 5 years. With a 302 cubic inch V8 coupled to a 4 speed manual transmission feeding a 12 bolt 4:11 Positraction rear, and Rally wheels wrapped in radials, the power brakes and power steering complete the factory configuration. This vehicle is documented by the NCRS and shows that the official production date was 04/05/1968. The original delivery dealer was dealer code 242 in zone 49. The name and address of that dealer is believed to be Hornbeck Chevrolet Inc in Carbondale, Pennsylvania. The Z28 performance package was designed (with further modifications) to compete in the SCCA Trans-Am series. It included a solid-lifter 302 V8, 4-speed transmission, power disc brakes, and two wide stripes down the hood and trunk lid. The Z28 option code was introduced in December 1966 for the 1967 model year. It was the brainchild of Vince Piggins, who conceived offering virtually race-ready Camaros for sale from any Chevrolet dealer. This option package was not mentioned in any sales literature, so it was unknown to most buyers. The Z28 option required power front disc brakes and a close-ratio Muncie 4-speed manual transmission (posi-traction was optional). It featured a 302 cu in (4.9 L) small-block V-8 engine, 3 stroke crankshaft with 4 bore, an aluminum intake manifold, and a 4-barrel vacuum secondary Holley carburetor of 780 cfm. The engine was designed specifically to race in the Trans Am series (which required engines smaller than 305 cu in (5.0 L). Advertised power of this engine was listed at 290 hp (216 kW). This is an under-rated figure. Chevrolet wanted to keep the horsepower rating at less than 1 hp per cubic inch, for various reasons (e.g. insurance and racing classes). The factory rating of 290 hp occurred at 5300 rpm, while actual peak for the high-revving 302 was closer to 360 hp (268 kW) (with the single four barrel carb) and 400 hp (298 kW) (with optional dual-four barrel carbs) at 6800-7000 rpm. The Z28 also came with upgraded suspension, racing stripes on the hood and trunk lid, 302 front fender emblems on the 67 and early 68 cars, and Z28 emblems in late 68 & 69. It was also possible to combine the Z28 package with the RS package. Only 602 Z28s were sold in 1967, along with approximately 100 Indianapolis Pace Car replicas. 7,199 Z28s were sold in 1968. The 1967 and 1968 Z28s did not have the cowl induction hood, optional on the 1969 Z28s. The 1967 Z28 received air from an open element air cleaner or from an optional cowl plenum duct attached to the side of the air cleaner that ran to the firewall and got air from the cowl vents. 15-inch rally wheels were included with Z28s while all other 1967-9 Camaros had 14-inch wheels. The origin of the Z28 nameplate came from the RPO codes - RPO Z28 was the code for the Special Performance Package. RPO Z27 was for the Super Sport package. Description:

Gateway Classic cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1966 Chevrolet Nova Resto-Mod. The Chevy II Nova is one of the most iconic body styles in the world. Its also smaller and lighter than a lot of the cars old school racers used to race back in those days. That is why even to this day street and track racers are using these cars to tear up the competition. Dont believe me? Just look at guys like Daddy Dave Comstock from the OKC and Bodie from Cali. These guys are driving these cars and crushing it. Here we have a beautiful Candy Green 1966 Chevy II Nova that is sure to turn heads everywhere you go. But not just because of the rumble you hear. This car has been modified tastefully and looks as nice as it sounds. The interior has been completely redone in a gorgeous bone leather and green suede that just looks fabulous. The big screen radio gives it that modern feel. The car was turned into this awesome machine 9 years ago. The current owner bought it 8 years ago and has driven it very little to the tune of only 250 miles on the digital odometer. All the other gauges are digital and lit up nicely also adding to the modern feel of the interior. This car is being powered by a Small Block 400 CI V8, mated to a 700r4 overdrive trans that makes it really easy to tear up the street but also cruise on the highway. 4 wheel, Wilwood disc brakes help to bring this awesome hot rod to a stop. On those hot cruising days roll up the windows and crank on the cold AC. The paint is a beautiful candy green and shows very well with only a couple of scratches in the trunk lid keeping it from being “show quality. The aluminum alloy custom wheels make the car look great with just the right stance that dares you to come get some. The only thing not working on the whole car is the horn. Options on this awesome 1966 Chevrolet Nova include: AC, AM/FM radio with CD player, Seat Belts, 4 Wheel Disc Brakes, Aluminum Alloy Wheels with Radial Tires. This 1966 Chevrolet Nova is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to present this 1955 Chevrolet 150 sedan. This extra-fine example was featured in the 9/08 edition of Chevy Rumble magazine and appears as it did looks-wise. When you take a peek at the photos, you will see what were talking about - this is show quality! The updates the new owner made were all about power and safety, as she is now powered by a rebuilt 454, bored .30-over making it a 468cu in, rated @ ~ 600-hp, with Edelbrock Victor Jr. aluminum intake, Holley 4-barrel, mated to a Tremec T56 6-speed manual transmission, with a rebuilt Ford 9 positraction with 3:55 gears. Did they stop there - heck no - she has a ConceptOne power assist steering box, AutoRad aluminum core/radiator/condenser unit, Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes, and tubular upper control arms. The interior was updated with a 2-tone grey/black vinyl bench seat, rubber mat, Vintage a/c, tilt column, an updated dash with Classic Instrument gauges, tachometer, as well an updated stereo - this just fits the style of this build. Gateway Classic Cars offers this legend, a 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302! Debuted as a direct shot to Chevy’s Z28, the Boss 302 was one of the two special Mustang models built for homologation purposes in 1969. Alongside its counterpart, the 429, the Boss models ushered in a new age of performance and continue to represent an age of muscle car perfection. The Mustang underwent a facelift for the 1970 model year including the elimination of the outboard headlights and a sportsroof with rear fender scoops. A more refined Boss 302 rolled out this year with distinctive stripes and familiar Magnum 500 wheels. This 1970 Boss 302 features these unique options and so much more including rear louvers, rear wing and sporty front chin spoiler!
