Description:

The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1990 Cadillac Allante for sale. This clean car fax Allante is a nice looking caddy. Cadillac had launched the front-drive Allante for the 1987 model year, to plenty of fanfare, as the company’s most expensive model. Body and interior design for Cadillac’s first 2-seat model was created by Pininfarina, in Italy, but the V8/automatic drivetrain was strictly American. Bodies were produced at a facility near Turin, Italy, then loaded onto special jet planes and flown to Detroit. Once there, driveline and underbody components were installed. Allante was a full convertible, with integral folding soft top and detachable aluminum hardtop. Aluminum was used for the hood and trunk lid while the unit body/frame structure employed galvanized steel. The Allante’s wheelbase measured 8.4 inches shorter than an Eldorado’s, but the 2-seater shared its basic fully independent suspension. An all-disc power brake system with Bosch antilocking was standard. By 1990, a 200-horsepower, 4.5-liter V8 was the motive source, also with automatic only. Traction control was new for 1990, using sensors for the antilock brakes to detect wheel slip during acceleration or steady cruising. When either front wheel began to slip, the system applied braking force to that wheel. If both front wheels were slipping, enough braking action was applied on both sides to optimize traction. A driver’s airbag went into the 1990 models, and electronically controlled shock absorbers were retuned to improve ride quality. The standard sound system now included both a cassette and a CD player. Primary rival was the Mercedes-Benz 560SL, also a 2-seater. Options include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM radio, CD player, power brakes, power steering, convertible top, cruise control, lumbar support, power windows, power mirrors, traction control, anti-lock brakes, power seats, anti-theft system, white walls, tilt wheel, leather interior, radial tires, aluminum alloy wheels. Description:

The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1984 Monte Carlo SS for sale. What is a Monte Carlo SS? It was a package option re issued in 1983 to augment the redesigned Monte Carlo rear wheel drive body. The recession was tough on automakers so it wasnt until the economy showed signs of recovery that we saw the first stirrings of rear wheel drive muscle again. After the Camaro and Firebird got their new identities, it was Monte Carlos turn. What Chevrolet did was create an aerodynamic nose for NASCAR racing. To homologate the package, marketing came up with an SS coupe to roll out in mid 1983. The Monte Carlo SS came in two colors, dark blue or white. It was a split bench seat car without console shift. That was left on the column as a three speed automatic transmission. You got the F41 firm ride and handling package, door decals, the 305 HO engine with Rochester ModQuadrajet four barrel carb, trunk spoiler, raised white letter Goodyear Eagle GT tires on 15 x7 mag wheels and bragging rights for your neighborhood that Spring. It was a sales hit for Chevy. The early SS Montes used the TH350 transmission with a a midrange 3.42 axle. The 305 used an aluminum intake manifold with Corvette L81 camshaft; this was good for 165 horses. Production total of 1983 Monte Carlo SS was 4,714 cars. For 1984 a full years production allowed the total to climb to 24,050 cars. Inside it was still a bit tame but with NASCAR racing wins piling up and a genuine battle between Chevy and Ford brewing, sales were good. The 84 edition was a repeat of last years success with full gauge package plus tach, quick ratio power steering, F41 suspension, black door handles, window reveal moldings and drip rails, anti chip protected lower body, sport mirrors with remote control driver, rally wheels and Eagle GT raised white letter tires, trunk spoiler, door decals, dual exhausts and full courtesy lamps. Inside you still had split bench seats as standard gear but those SS embroidered headrests were a nice touch. These disappeared after 1984. Horsepower went up to 180 this year. Most of the 1984 SS cars got the TH350. Options include: AC, AM/FM radio, power steering, power locks, power seats, tilt wheel, power mirrors, seat belts, Cloth interior, rally wheels, radial tires. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale has a very unusual 1969 Ford Mustang Grande for sale in our Arizona showroom. Unusual in the regard that out of a total model year production of 299,824, only 22,182 were Grandes. Thats about 7%; who knows how many survive. This single tone gold-colored car is basically solid, with good floors, rockers, trunk pan, and shock towers all looking good. Both lower quarters have only a few surface bubbles at the lower rear, with no rust evident on the inside of the quarter. The black interior is also very nice with only a few cosmetic issues. This Grande has recently been detailed and looks very presentable. It seems to run and drive extremely well, and definitely gets noticed when its out. The 302-2V engine and C-4 automatic is a very reliable combination and is easy to get parts for, should the need arise. While this attractive Grande is certainly not perfect, the new owner can still be proud to drive it, be seen in it, and work on it to make the many minor improvements while still enjoying it. This is a nice car for a great price! Dont miss this 1969 Ford Mustang Grande for sale right now in our Scottsdale facility. Description:

This beautiful two owner 1965 Ford Thunderbird is for sale currently in our Denver showroom. The original light blue paint has been meticulously cared for throughout the years and it definitely shows! Thanks partly to this car never having been driven in inclement weather. Both owners of this 4th Generation Thunderbird treated it much like it was a part of their family. It was stored indoors at all times and put away during winter months only driven for enjoyment in most cases. The original 390 cubic inch V8 starts with the greatest of ease and purrs like a kitten. With just over 12,000 miles on a complete rebuild and never having missed a scheduled maintenance this thing runs down the road better than when it was new. Helping transmit the power to the road is the 3 speed automatic transmission that has also been professionally rebuilt around the same time as the engine. Sitting behind the swing-a-way steering wheel takes you back in time to when aviation and vehicles shared each others styling ques. Everything from the heater controls to the gauge cluster make you feel as though you are preparing for takeoff! The bucket seats feel as though they have never been sat in and if you are lucky enough to be the driver you are treated to an adjustable seat that is power. Wraping around the original wheels is a set of radial tires that have just over 400 miles on thme. Rounding out the claissc looks of this piece of American history are the sequential taillights that look just as good when they are off as when they are lighting up. You can view this 1965 Ford Thunderbird in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

This awesome 1989 Jeep Wrangler with a small block Chevy is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The wrangler is arguably the progression from the original Jeep or CJ line which was manufactured by AMC until Chrysler bought them in 87. With there popularity skyrocketing in recent years the Jeep is undoubtedly one of the funnest vehicles you can drive. This one with its V8 powerplant shoved under the hood is guaranteed to make it that much more fun. The red is sure to grab anyone’s attention but ofcourse with the growl of that V8 you will be heard long before you are seen. The black fender flares give it a rugged look while keeping any debris from flying up due to those massive 35” tires. The TH350 was built specifically for this application and handles the power extremely well. The stock rear end was left alone since they are known for the durability right out of the box. With a vinyl top and doors this beach buggy can be transformed into a fully enclosed ride in a couple minutes. Ofcourse the top down doors off is the only way to ride in this ultra-cool Jeep. Lock in the 4WD and hit the mud as that’s what these are really made for and with that extra power you are going do one of 2 things. Mash the gas and get traction so you can pull out of that hole or dig down to the black abyss and get stuck. Either way you are going to look and sound awesome doing it. With these jeeps becoming more and more popular by the second this powerhouse is sure to not stick around long. Options on this 1989 Jeep Wrangler 4X4 include; AM/FM/CD, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior and Radial Tires. Description:

In August 1986, the Mustang received a facelift for the 1987 model year on both the interior and exterior. The front end was restyled to look more like the SVO which gave the car more of an "Aero" look, in keeping with Ford's overall modern styling direction. The interior received an all new dash, center console and revised seat and door trim. With the SVO discontinued, models were now pared down to LX and GT. Taillights on the LX were revised with clear lenses for the turn signals while the GT now wore specific body-colored triple louvered lenses. The quarter glass windows lost their louvers and now sported a single larger flush piece of glass lettered with "Mustang" at the bottom rear corners. GTs featured new round fog lamps and gained aerodynamic lower bodyside skirting and new turbine style 15-inch (380 mm) wheels. The 302 cu in (4.9 L) 5.0L Mustangs became popular with the aftermarket performance industry.[9] The V6 option was discontinued while the 2.3 L four-cylinder gained fuel injection, leaving only the 2.3 L four-cylinder and the 302 cu in (4.9 L) V8(The "5.0").

V8-powered Mustangs received E7TE heads and forged aluminum pistons with valve reliefs in 1987, as opposed to the flat-tops used in the previous year.[10] The E7 cylinder heads were sourced from the truck line after the 1986 swirl-port design demonstrated performance problems. Power ratings increased to 225 hp (168 kW) and 300 ft⋅lbf (410 N⋅m) of torque. No major changes were seen for 1988, although the T-top roof option for hatchbacks was discontinued midyear.

For 1989, the Mustang's speed density computer system was replaced with a mass air system (1988 Mustangs sold in California also had the MAF system). This change slightly reduced factory horsepower, but it made Mustangs much easier to modify. With the mass air system, changes made to the intake, engine, and exhaust system would be recognized and compensated for by the ECU, resulting in a correct air/fuel ratio and optimum power. Ford's only gesture at a 25th Anniversary Mustang was small, a passenger-side dashboard emblem with galloping-horse logo affixed to all models built between 27 March 1989, and the end of model-year 1990.[11] Finally, in 1989, Ford resources began to focus on the next Mustang, due to debut in late 1993.[12] Through its retirement in 1993, there would be few changes in the model line, but the changes would be visual.

For 1990, Mustang added a new steering wheel featuring an airbag, and a revised lower driver's-side dash panel with knee bolster. The available tilt-steering wheel, however, was discontinued in favor of the revised airbag-equipped steering column. A limited run of 5.0L equipped LX convertibles - all painted Emerald Green metallic with white convertible tops, Oxford White leather interiors featuring GT seats, and 15" turbine alloy wheels - were produced for an NCAA half-court shot contest, sponsored by soda brand 7-Up, but the event was cancelled shortly before it was scheduled to begin. Ford, already having produced 4,103 vehicles (2,743 with the AOD four-speed automatic overdrive, and 1,360 with the T-5 five-speed manual transmission), released them for dealer availability. Revamped interior quarter panels for the 1990 model year did away with the side armrests for rear seat passengers, but gained large speaker panels for improved sound quality for the stereo. Door map pockets and clear coat paint also became standard for the 1990 Mustang, along with the availability of optional leather interior trim.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1965 Dodge Dart GT. The Dart was released in 1960 as a replacement to the Plymouth in the standard, low priced car segment which was growing rapidly at this time. They were an instant success and represented 87% of all Dodge sales for that year. 1962 was a short-lived run of the second-generation Dart with many saying that they were more of an intermediate car than the entry level bang for your buck first generations. 1963 to 1966 would see the 3rd generation which was closer to the highly successful first gen’s. This 1965 is a great example of why so many bought these cars. Their smaller stature allowed for a slant 6 to give the car plenty of power and intrigued many buyers. The 225 slant 6 was the best of the bunch and has become one of the most popular six-cylinder engines to ever leave Detroit. This numbers matching example was gone through about 10 years ago but has only seen about 1200 miles since the work was done. The 3-speed automatic transmission shifts out nicely while being controlled through a console mounted gear selector giving the car a very sporty look. The optional 14-inch wheels had to be used on these disc brake cars for caliper clearance but look a lot better as well. The paint on the car is in good condition and shows nicely with the chrome accents helping to give the car a higher end look. The black interior with bucket seats is in very good condition and rather comfortable for a 65. If you have been thinking about getting into a mid-60’s MOPAR but don’t want to the break bank while doing it this 65 Dart GT is a great way to achieve just that. Options on this 1965 Doidge Dart GT include, AM Radio, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires. This 1965 Dodge Dart GT is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. If been looking for a fun street car or maybe something to take to the dragstrip on the weekends, then look no further, the work has already been done for you. A set of 185 AFR heads with 58 cc chambers insure plenty of air and fuel will feed this little beastly engine. A Comp Cams XE282 camshaft, gives the 347 a nice lope and brings out the potential of the AFR heads. The Mustang is also equipped with Nitrous, but it has not been used. Description:

The Gateway Classic Car Showroom in Saint Louis is happy to offer this fourth-generation Pontiac Firebird for sale. Originally designed by Pontiac from 1967 to 2002, this hot ride was designed as a pony car to compete with the Ford Mustang, and ended up also competing with the Chevrolet Camaro and Mercury Cougar that GM built on the same platform. The fourth-generation Firebird amplified the aerodynamic styling initiated by the previous generation. While the live rear axle and floorpan aft of the front seats remained largely the same, ninety percent of the Firebirds parts were all-new. Major improvements to this generationincluded standard dual airbags, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, 16-inch wheels, rack-and-pinion power steering, short/long-arm front suspension, and several non-rusting composite body panels. This particular Firebird is powered by the most powerful engine from the fourth generation, which was the 5.7L V8. Additional features include Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, CD Player, Spare Tire, T-Tops, Cruise Control, Lumbar Support, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Jack, Power Seats, Power Windows, Anti-Lock Brakes, Tilt Wheel, Power Mirrors, Seat Belts, Driver Airbag, Passenger Airbag, Anti-Theft System, Leather Interior, Radial Tires, and Posi Traction. This is a single-owner vehicle with documentation and no accident history. Description:

When Ford took over Jaguar, all kinds of good things started to happen, including this 2001 XK8 coupe. It definitely has the Jaguar look, a combination of ferocity and elegance, and with only 55,627 original miles, this one has been well-kept and treated as something special for all of its life. The original luscious red paint has a great shine and looks as great as it does when it was new. The medium red suits the Jag perfectly, flashy enough to get some attention but not in an undignified way, which isnt the Jaguars mission. Instead, it has a glow that looks luxurious, and combined with the sinuous curves of the XK8s sheetmetal, few people will guess that this car is 17 years old. An upgraded mesh grille borrowed from the XKR makes it look a bit more aggressive. The tan-colored leather seats are pure Jaguar elegance, delivered in a way that only the British seem to have mastered. Theyre all-day comfortable yet supportive enough for spirited driving, and thanks to quality materials, they show only modest wear thats totally in line with the cars age and mileage. Full instrumentation and every luxury feature you can imagine are included: automatic climate control, a power tilt steering wheel, power windows and locks, cruise control, and a great-sounding AM/FM/cassette/CD stereo, and it all still works! Theres a back seat area that looks unused, and its probably the most beautifully upholstered package shelf in history. Jaguars 4.0 liter V8 was one of the first fruits of the Ford-Jaguar partnership, but it shares no components with any Ford engines. It purrs with buttery smoothness yet rips to redline when you plant your foot, and with a flat torque curve, it makes even this heavy cruiser feel light on its feet. These engines arent known for being finicky, so it remains a superb driver thats entertaining from behind the wheel. A 5-speed automatic transmission and a supple independent suspension are willing dance partners no matter what youre doing, and the brakes are powerful enough to keep this heavy cruiser in check. You can view this 2001 Jaguar XK8 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com.
