Description:

This 1947 Willy’s Army Replica Jeep is for sale in our Louisville KY. The Willy’s Jeep has been around since late 1940 delivered to the Army right before we entered WWII. They were an instant hit with service men and all they could talk about when they got home. Willy’s was way ahead of them with CJ2 with the CJ standing for Civilian Jeep. This 1947 CJ2 was built to replicate the original MB with a ton of time and money to make it as close to the real thing as possible. The green paint is exactly what you would expect with its flat look and covering everything in sight. The inline 4 was rebuilt and just like the original it runs like a clock. Of course, the 4-wheel drive works like a dream I mean it is a Jeep. Now for the fun stuff on this Army replica. First thing you notice is that huge 50 CAL gun that sits between the two seats. It has been fitted with a gas firing system much like the movies use. If you look down from the 50 you will notice 2 grenades that have been deactivated. IN the back you will notice a very correct CB radio that does work adding to the authenticity of this Army Jeep. The collapsible windshield has the classic Tommy Gun tucked away since there was no such thing as 2 many guns. With the popularity and interest in WWII memorabilia ion the rise this Jeep is sure to become the prized piece of someone’s collection. Options on this 1947 Willys Army Replica include, Bias Ply Tires and Steel Wheels To view this 1947 Jeep Willy’s including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. The White Wall tires with moon chrome hubcaps fit perfectly with the look of this pleasing Plymouth. These cars came with an option of either a Slant-6 engine or one or two V8s. This example houses the larger V8, the 361 CID, under the hood. The motor has been recently rebuilt and features a 4bbl Holley carburetor, power brakes, power steering, an aluminum radiator and Painless wiring system. The engine compartment itself is super clean, fully painted and presentable. A 2-speed automatic transmission that has been rebuilt but is “numbers matching to the car (according to the seller) is a stout but smooth-shifting unit. Inside this awesome ride keeps the futuristic look going with unique features like a horizontal speedometer, push-button transmission selector, and rear view mirror mounted on the dash. Additional gauges include fuel level and water temperature and a chrome horn ring keeps things classy. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present a selection of gas dragsters Gassers for sale in our Indianapolis showroom. This one is a 1962 Chevrolet Nova based C/Gas dragster, and is powered by a 383 stroker driving through a manual valve body TH400 transmission to a 12 bolt positraction rear with 4.11:1 gears. The steel body is painted in red PPG paint and the interior is complete with rollcage, racing seats, and a racing harness. Here is some history for those who would like background on this exciting style of dragster. The term Gasser refers to a style of drag race car that was prolific in the late 1950s through the 1960s that ran on gasoline as fuel, as opposed to race fuel. These cars typically competed in heads up drag races that were classed by engine size and car weight. In the faster classes the cars used a straight axle front suspension that produced the intimidating stance that gassers are known for. Easily recognized by common features like the higher front end stance that was developed as a means of weight transfer to the rear wheels for traction, this style became popular later as builders attempted to achieve a traditional or nostalgic race look. These cars became fan favorites as the well-known racers began to run grudge matches for higher purses. In no time these matches were the top billing at many shows due to the crowd entertainment factor. Gassers were the top drag racing classes in the period that is now referred to as the gasser war years, which ranged from 1955 through 1968.In addition to the straight axle, most gassers also sported Halibrand wheels, no front bumper, and had a front mounted Moon tank. The gasser form was dictated by function and most builders looked to eliminate as much weight as possible. Having their exhaust pipes exit through the front fender to shorten the length of exhaust tubing is another common characteristic of gassers. Builders used 1930s through 1950s production coupes or sedans to create these highly modified racing vehicles. Late model cars were not allowed in the Gas classes until 1967, and the gas classes were totally eliminated by NHRA in 1972. They run today all over the United States and down under in Australia and New Zealand in vintage and nostalgia drags. To view this 1962 Chevrolet Nova gas dragster, please visit our site at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call 317-688-1100, or email us at indy@gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to feature this desirable diesel 1987 Land Rover Defender 110 300Tdi for sale right now in our Arizona showroom, located in North Phoenix. Production of this British off-roading classic began in 1983 with two models- the 90 and the 110, with the numbers referencing the approximate wheelbase length in inches. This right-hand-drive Land Rover was imported from its native United Kingdom in 2018 and has undergone several professional repairs since then. Starting with bright “Alpine White paint, the 100 Defender looks capable with its boxy design and black exterior roll cage. Land Rovers are known for being credible off roaders but also something with some street cred too- 10-spoke Black painted modern Land Rover wheels with Goodyear tires and added fender skirts help this truck with the upmarket crowd. Under the hood is the legendary 2.5l “300Tdi turbodiesel engine that offered direct fuel injection and an estimated 111hp and 195 lb/ft of torque from the factory. Accompanying the engine is the R380 5-speed manual transmission and its important to note that a new clutch and transfer case have been installed in 2019. Other recent replacements include the rear main seal, rear axels and rear differential. The owner of this Land Rover Defender is representing the powertrain as “numbers matching. The interior of this Defender 110 is pretty much factory original with gray cloth seating for eight in total. Theres an aftermarket steering wheel fitted and a pioneer stereo with additional speakers to improve the entertainment in this rugged off roader. In the trunk area theres lots of room for your outdoors equipment and a kill switch for the battery which might save the day when youre out in the middle of nowhere! The reason for Land Rovers success is obvious: a Land Rover, unlike any other vehicle, gives its occupants a sense of adventure. You really do feel as though you could go anywhere. This is an excellent ownership opportunity for all the above reasons and more! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to offer this 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43. Produced from 1960 to 1984, the FJ43 is like an FJ40 for the person who craves a little extra cargo space. The FJ43s body is a foot longer than the FJ40! The FJ43 evolved from early Toyota BJ and J20 series 4x4s. These were copies of the classic US army Jeep during the Korean war. By 1960, Toyota had refined and perfected their recipe for the 4x4 runabout formula and deemed the FJ43 suitable for world export. This lovely Red FJ43 comes to us by way of Columbia and still powering it is the original numbers matching gasoline inline six-cylinder engine and mated to the original 3 speed manual with 4WD. This Truck appears to be blessed with a frame off restoration from top to bottom, inside and out. The old factory, canvas soft-top was replaced with a gray one that has the availability to roll open the side curtains for the rear passengers. The red painted exterior, gray top and painted gray accent pieces, became a combination that catches the eye and looks period correct. With a flick of the key, the 6-cylinder engine roars to life and pulls this little 4x4 down the road with minimal fuss. Its a plucky little truck with a borderline agricultural feel as it takes you back to that only the essentials driving experience FJ43s are known for. Its rugged, reliable, and has classic good looks! Everything youd want is a vintage 4x4! This 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 is for sale by our Atlanta Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to offer a rugged 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45. Toyota sits in the off road enthusiasts hall of fame thanks to this vehicle. Toyota rolled out the FJ40 series in 1960 and competed with the likes of Land Rovers, Jeeps, and later the Ford Bronco and Chevrolet K10. The FJ45 was a rugged, two door, 4x4 vehicle with amazing off road capabilities, and rather primitive interior treatments. The hard top is removable so open air cruising is a possibility. FJs came without carpet, and with vinyl upholstery so even if youre out in the mud and in the elements, theyre easy to keep clean. Under the hood of this particular Land Cruiser youll find the venerable Toyota 2F 4.2L Inline 6 with 3 Speed Manual on the floor and a 4x4 transfer case. Stout axles front and rear and BFG off-road tires will take this thing just about anywhere you want to go. With a restoration done in 2009, This off-road gladiator now sports power steering. This FJ would make a great weekend runabout or a daily driver, and will put most new 4x4s to shame off pavement. Vintage 4x4s are in high demand, and most have rusted away to nothing. Luckily this Toyota has been well preserved and is ready for many more years of duty. You can see this 1973 Toyota FJ45 Land Cruiser for sale in greater detail in our Dallas showroom. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present a collection of gas dragsters Gassers for sale in our Indianapolis showroom. This one, Morris Monster a 1958 Morris Minor based A/Gas dragster, is powered by a big block 454 Chevrolet fed by dual four barrel carburetors on a tunnel ram intake driving through a manual valve body TH400 transmission. Beautiful blue custom metallic paint really makes this handmade Gasser pop in the sun. To view this gas dragster, please visit our site at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call 317-688-1100, or email us at indy@gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this sharp 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible. This car is turn key and fire right up just ready to hit the streets. Nothing like the sound of a Chevy V8 engine and in a convertible to really make you enjoy a summer night cruise. The 1971 Chevelle was treated to new front-end and rear-end styling that included large Power-Beam single-unit headlights, a reworked grille and bumper, and integral park/signal/marker lights. New dual round taillights were integral with the back bumper. Because SS models suffered heavy insurance surcharges, Chevrolet introduced the Heavy Chevy at midyear, which was based on the base Chevelle, and was available with any V8 engine except the 454, which was exclusive to SS models. Chevrolet specifications for 1971 included both gross and net horsepower figures for all engines. The standard Chevelle SS engine was a two-barrel 350-cubic-inch V8 rated at 245 gross (165 net) horsepower. This stunning Chevelle does have a newer crate 350 small block that was installed about 20 miles ago and it runs great. It is paired to a smooth shifting 3 speed automatic transmission. The red paint on this car shines bright in the sun and has been redone to be in great condition. The black vinyl interior does not show its age due to it not having any rips or tears. This car even has upgraded sound system to a more modern stereo and speakers. The classic style is kept with the Cragar wheels and white letter BF Goodrich tires, it does have another set of rims that come with it as well. This car is set up with the R12 original A/C that still blows cool to this day. The power top makes an aggressive look go to a sporty convertible and even more fun drive in a matter of minutes. This car is perfect for any collection and could even be used as a daily driver. Everyone should enjoy dropping the top on a classic Chevelle and pushing the throttle down to feel the rush of American muscle.
