Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present a selection of gas dragsters Gassers for sale by our Indianapolis showroom. This one is a 1962 Chevrolet Nova based C/Gas dragster, and is powered by a 383 stroker driving through a manual valve body TH400 transmission to a 12 bolt positraction rear with 4.11:1 gears. The steel body is painted in red PPG paint and the interior is complete with rollcage, racing seats, and a racing harness. Here is some history for those who would like background on this exciting style of dragster. The term Gasser refers to a style of drag race car that was prolific in the late 1950s through the 1960s that ran on gasoline as fuel, as opposed to race fuel. These cars typically competed in heads up drag races that were classed by engine size and car weight. In the faster classes the cars used a straight axle front suspension that produced the intimidating stance that gassers are known for. Easily recognized by common features like the higher front end stance that was developed as a means of weight transfer to the rear wheels for traction, this style became popular later as builders attempted to achieve a traditional or nostalgic race look. These cars became fan favorites as the well-known racers began to run grudge matches for higher purses. In no time these matches were the top billing at many shows due to the crowd entertainment factor. Gassers were the top drag racing classes in the period that is now referred to as the gasser war years, which ranged from 1955 through 1968.In addition to the straight axle, most gassers also sported Halibrand wheels, no front bumper, and had a front mounted Moon tank. The gasser form was dictated by function and most builders looked to eliminate as much weight as possible. Having their exhaust pipes exit through the front fender to shorten the length of exhaust tubing is another common characteristic of gassers. Builders used 1930s through 1950s production coupes or sedans to create these highly modified racing vehicles. Late model cars were not allowed in the Gas classes until 1967, and the gas classes were totally eliminated by NHRA in 1972. They run today all over the United States and down under in Australia and New Zealand in vintage and nostalgia drags. To view this 1962 Chevrolet Nova gas dragster, please visit our site at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call 317-688-1100, or email us at indy@gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to offer this 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43. Produced from 1960 to 1984, the FJ43 is like an FJ40 for the person who craves a little extra cargo space. The FJ43s body is a foot longer than the FJ40! The FJ43 evolved from early Toyota BJ and J20 series 4x4s. These were copies of the classic US army Jeep during the Korean war. By 1960, Toyota had refined and perfected their recipe for the 4x4 runabout formula and deemed the FJ43 suitable for world export. This lovely Red FJ43 comes to us by way of Columbia and still powering it is the original numbers matching gasoline inline six-cylinder engine and mated to the original 3 speed manual with 4WD. This Truck appears to be blessed with a frame off restoration from top to bottom, inside and out. The old factory, canvas soft-top was replaced with a gray one that has the availability to roll open the side curtains for the rear passengers. The red painted exterior, gray top and painted gray accent pieces, became a combination that catches the eye and looks period correct. With a flick of the key, the 6-cylinder engine roars to life and pulls this little 4x4 down the road with minimal fuss. Its a plucky little truck with a borderline agricultural feel as it takes you back to that only the essentials driving experience FJ43s are known for. Its rugged, reliable, and has classic good looks! Everything youd want is a vintage 4x4! This 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 is for sale by our Atlanta Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information, please call our knowledgeable staff at (678)-894-4833 or email us at Atlanta@GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to offer a rugged 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45. Toyota sits in the off road enthusiasts hall of fame thanks to this vehicle. Toyota rolled out the FJ40 series in 1960 and competed with the likes of Land Rovers, Jeeps, and later the Ford Bronco and Chevrolet K10. The FJ45 was a rugged, two door, 4x4 vehicle with amazing off road capabilities, and rather primitive interior treatments. The hard top is removable so open air cruising is a possibility. FJs came without carpet, and with vinyl upholstery so even if youre out in the mud and in the elements, theyre easy to keep clean. Under the hood of this particular Land Cruiser youll find the venerable Toyota 2F 4.2L Inline 6 with 3 Speed Manual on the floor and a 4x4 transfer case. Stout axles front and rear and BFG off-road tires will take this thing just about anywhere you want to go. With a restoration done in 2009, This off-road gladiator now sports power steering. This FJ would make a great weekend runabout or a daily driver, and will put most new 4x4s to shame off pavement. Vintage 4x4s are in high demand, and most have rusted away to nothing. Luckily this Toyota has been well preserved and is ready for many more years of duty. You can see this 1973 Toyota FJ45 Land Cruiser for sale in greater detail in our Dallas showroom. Gateway Classic Cars is excited to present this 1969 Chevrolet Yenko SYC Nova CLONE at our Milwaukee location. A grand total of 31 original Nova Yenkos were sold in 1969. All were L78 396 Novas straight out of the factory. Twenty-eight had a transplanted 427 producing 425hp. While the remaining eight were still factory L78 375hpm396s. The 1969 SYC Nova was extremely fast going 0-60 mph in under four seconds. It is believed only seven original 1969 Yenko Chevrolet Novas are known to exist today, making the Yenko Nova SYC highly sought after by enthusiasts worldwide. Our 1969 Chevrolet Yenko Nova SYC CLONE is an awesome knockoff of an exceptionally rare car. Painted in Hugger Orange with a vinyl interior including the signature SYC logo on the headrest. The white Yenko striping truly makes this Nova look like the real thing. Raised white letter tires mounted on a set of American Racing alloy wheels lends to a mean looking profile. Under the hood is a 396 V-8 attached to a 4-speed transmission. The twelve bolt posi rear end is a great addition to this kickass powertrain. This 1969 Chevrolet Yenko SYC Nova CLONE is exactly what defines the term Chevy Muscle to a tee. This Nova reflects an era that we will never see again. Now is the time to grab a piece of that history and hold on tight. No pun intended.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present a collection of gas dragsters Gassers in our Indianapolis showroom. This one, Morris Monster a 1958 Morris Minor based A/Gas dragster, is powered by a big block 454 Chevrolet fed by dual four barrel carburetors on a tunnel ram intake driving through a manual valve body TH400 transmission. Beautiful blue custom metallic paint really makes this handmade Gasser pop in the sun. To view this gas dragster, please visit our site at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call 317-688-1100, or email us at indy@gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is delighted to offer this classic 1957 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. The Ford Thunderbird began life in February 1953 in direct response to Chevrolets new sports car, the Corvette, which was publicly unveiled in prototype form just a month before. Under rapid development, the Thunderbird went from idea to prototype in about a year, being unveiled to the public at the Detroit Auto Show on February 20, 1954. Like the Corvette, the Thunderbird had a two-seat coupe/convertible layout. Production of the Thunderbird began later in 1954 on September 9 with the car beginning sales as a 1955 model on October 22, 1954. Though sharing some design characteristics with other Fords of the time, such as single, circular headlamps and tail lamps and modest tailfins, the Thunderbird was sleeker and more athletic in shape, and had features like a faux hood scoop and a 140 mph speedometer hinting a higher performance nature that other Fords didnt possess. The exterior was professionally painted in a RED while the interior is RED and White vinyl. The two complement each other very nicely. Under the hood youll find a potent 312 CID V8 engine backed by a 3-spd automatic transmission, but youll also find a rare A/C option. The valve covers are the original Thunderbird ribbed covers that scream 50s style. Its probably the first thing youll notice when you open the hood. Under the chrome air cleaner sits on a 4BBL carburetor that the purists will surly love. The infamous porthole hard top is in amazing condition and painted red on this T-Bird. With the hardtop secured into place the road noise diminishes significantly. Other options include: AM radio, manual convertible top, power seats vinyl interior, and wide white wall radial tires. This is a classic Thunderbird with a timeless look which bodes well for an investment piece and a fun driver alike. Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is exhilarated to offer this black-on-black 2009 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR with the meanest stance you will ever see for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. The ‘KR’ stands for ‘King of the Road’ and first appeared in 1968. Ford paid a fitting tribute to this Shelby GT500KR by releasing a special-edition 40th anniversary version in 2008. Over 1000 cars were sold that year, but demand was so great that Ford green-lighted a second year of production; our Shelby GT500KR is one of 712 produced in 2009. Under the carbon-fiber composite hood of this King of the Road is a thumping 5.4l supercharged 32-valve V8 engine with just over 6000 original miles on it. Those low, low miles come fully documented with the original bill of sale and receipts for work that has been done to the car throughout its ownership history. Our 2009 Mustang Shelby GT500KR comes with plenty of creature comforts such as an AM/FM radio, 6-disc CD player with a Shaker sound system, cruise control, power windows/locks/mirrors and driver’s seat, anti-lock brakes with an air induction kit and traction control. Just imagine yourself in the leather sports seats embroidered with Caroll Shelby’s signature listening to the bark from the brushed stainless exhaust pipes, the moan from the cold-air intake and the whine from the supercharger in your ears as you plant your right foot firmly on the gas pedal and blast through the gears of the 6-speed, short-throw manual transmission. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to own this mighty, modern muscle car by contacting our Scottsdale showroom today at (623) 900-4884 or scottsdale@gatewayclassiccars.com for more information on this 2009 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR for sale or to schedule an appointment to view the vehicle in person
