Description:

Now available in our Dallas-Showroom is this 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS-Convertible! 1972 Chevelle’s marked the end of the second generation of the Chevrolet Chevelle. Little was changed visually, except for an updated grille and new front parking lights to echo the removal of the split-bar grille. Trims offered were the base Chevelle and uprated Malibu. Body styles offered included sport coupe, sport sedan, four-door sedan, and convertible. The El Camino pickup was also still based on the Chevelle, and there were four wagon styles offered – Nomad, Greenbrier, Concours and Concours Estate. The SS was still offered and could be had with a 350 or a 402 V-8. The range-topping engine was still the SS 454, but it was now rated at only 270 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. Buyers who opted for either SS trim could also get the ZL2 package, which included the cowl induction hood, wide racing stripes, and stand-out hood pins. The Heavy Chevy package continued from a 1971 debut and featured unique graphics and upgraded suspension components. It was available on any V-8 model but the SS 454. In total, an estimated 701,000 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle’s were produced. This 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS-Convertible is currently on its 3rd owner, since being bought new in 1972. The current owner spotted this beauty approximately 10-years ago and purchased it from a Texas collector at that time. Turn the key and listen to those dual exhaust pipes roar as this Chevelle is running with a 400 small block engine, which connects to a 350-automatic transmission. This vehicle also comes with cozy original white vinyl interior, original dash, and an automatic convertible top. That’s right, with the flick of a switch you can reveal all the sunshine and wind you desire in just a few seconds! Other options on this Chevelle- SS include: A/C, Spare Tire, Power Brakes, Power Steering, and new Radial tires! Don’t miss out on your opportunity to be the fourth owner of this beautiful vehicle! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to offer a car that needs no introduction, the 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. Plymouth had a system, the Rapid Transit System and here is an opportunity to obtain a really clean B-Body Mopar with stunning curb appeal! Plymouth obtained permission from Warner Bros.-Seven Arts™ to use the Road Runner name and likeness from their Wile E. Coyote™ and the Road Runner™ cartoons (as well as a beep, beep horn). The Plymouth Road Runner was based on the Chrysler B platform (the same as the Belvedere and Satellite), as a back-to-basics mid-size performance car. This Mopar is finished in Honey Bronze with a matte-black fiberglass liftoff hood (including “show rods for show) and a black vinyl top. The interior houses a matching Honey Bronze vinyl with a bench seat and OEM woodgrain steering wheel. The dash retains an OEM dial AM radio, but does have a few vital modern Auto Meter™ gauges to keep things in check. Cold modern air conditioning also keeps you cool on a hot summer day! Under the hood there is a 383 cid (marketed as the 383 Road Runner engine) stroked to a strong 477 cid, backed by a rebuilt 727 Torqueflight automatic transmission with a 3:55 gear in the rear. Putting the power to the pavement are Boyd Coddington™ performance wheels with Dunlop™ 245/45Z17 on the front and 255/45R18 on the rear, giving this car an amazing stance! When there is this type of setup lets also add Hydrotech™ power brakes with Wilwoods™ in the front. Beep Beep! Description:

This 1947 Willy’s Army Replica Jeep is for sale in our Louisville KY. The Willy’s Jeep has been around since late 1940 delivered to the Army right before we entered WWII. They were an instant hit with service men and all they could talk about when they got home. Willy’s was way ahead of them with CJ2 with the CJ standing for Civilian Jeep. This 1947 CJ2 was built to replicate the original MB with a ton of time and money to make it as close to the real thing as possible. The green paint is exactly what you would expect with its flat look and covering everything in sight. The inline 4 was rebuilt and just like the original it runs like a clock. Of course, the 4-wheel drive works like a dream I mean it is a Jeep. Now for the fun stuff on this Army replica. First thing you notice is that huge 50 CAL gun that sits between the two seats. It has been fitted with a gas firing system much like the movies use. If you look down from the 50 you will notice 2 grenades that have been deactivated. IN the back you will notice a very correct CB radio that does work adding to the authenticity of this Army Jeep. The collapsible windshield has the classic Tommy Gun tucked away since there was no such thing as 2 many guns. With the popularity and interest in WWII memorabilia ion the rise this Jeep is sure to become the prized piece of someone’s collection. Options on this 1947 Willys Army Replica include, Bias Ply Tires and Steel Wheels To view this 1947 Jeep Willy’s including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present a selection of gas dragsters Gassers for sale in our Indianapolis showroom. This one is a 1962 Chevrolet Nova based C/Gas dragster, and is powered by a 383 stroker driving through a manual valve body TH400 transmission to a 12 bolt positraction rear with 4.11:1 gears. The steel body is painted in red PPG paint and the interior is complete with rollcage, racing seats, and a racing harness. Here is some history for those who would like background on this exciting style of dragster. The term Gasser refers to a style of drag race car that was prolific in the late 1950s through the 1960s that ran on gasoline as fuel, as opposed to race fuel. These cars typically competed in heads up drag races that were classed by engine size and car weight. In the faster classes the cars used a straight axle front suspension that produced the intimidating stance that gassers are known for. Easily recognized by common features like the higher front end stance that was developed as a means of weight transfer to the rear wheels for traction, this style became popular later as builders attempted to achieve a traditional or nostalgic race look. These cars became fan favorites as the well-known racers began to run grudge matches for higher purses. In no time these matches were the top billing at many shows due to the crowd entertainment factor. Gassers were the top drag racing classes in the period that is now referred to as the gasser war years, which ranged from 1955 through 1968.In addition to the straight axle, most gassers also sported Halibrand wheels, no front bumper, and had a front mounted Moon tank. The gasser form was dictated by function and most builders looked to eliminate as much weight as possible. Having their exhaust pipes exit through the front fender to shorten the length of exhaust tubing is another common characteristic of gassers. Builders used 1930s through 1950s production coupes or sedans to create these highly modified racing vehicles. Late model cars were not allowed in the Gas classes until 1967, and the gas classes were totally eliminated by NHRA in 1972. They run today all over the United States and down under in Australia and New Zealand in vintage and nostalgia drags. To view this 1962 Chevrolet Nova gas dragster, please visit our site at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call 317-688-1100, or email us at indy@gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to feature this desirable diesel 1987 Land Rover Defender 110 300Tdi for sale right now in our Arizona showroom, located in North Phoenix. Production of this British off-roading classic began in 1983 with two models- the 90 and the 110, with the numbers referencing the approximate wheelbase length in inches. This right-hand-drive Land Rover was imported from its native United Kingdom in 2018 and has undergone several professional repairs since then. Starting with bright “Alpine White paint, the 100 Defender looks capable with its boxy design and black exterior roll cage. Land Rovers are known for being credible off roaders but also something with some street cred too- 10-spoke Black painted modern Land Rover wheels with Goodyear tires and added fender skirts help this truck with the upmarket crowd. Under the hood is the legendary 2.5l “300Tdi turbodiesel engine that offered direct fuel injection and an estimated 111hp and 195 lb/ft of torque from the factory. Accompanying the engine is the R380 5-speed manual transmission and its important to note that a new clutch and transfer case have been installed in 2019. Other recent replacements include the rear main seal, rear axels and rear differential. The owner of this Land Rover Defender is representing the powertrain as “numbers matching. The interior of this Defender 110 is pretty much factory original with gray cloth seating for eight in total. Theres an aftermarket steering wheel fitted and a pioneer stereo with additional speakers to improve the entertainment in this rugged off roader. In the trunk area theres lots of room for your outdoors equipment and a kill switch for the battery which might save the day when youre out in the middle of nowhere! The reason for Land Rovers success is obvious: a Land Rover, unlike any other vehicle, gives its occupants a sense of adventure. You really do feel as though you could go anywhere. This is an excellent ownership opportunity for all the above reasons and more! Give our helpful and knowledgeable Sales staff a call at (623) 900-4884 to find out how to get this vehicle in your driveway before someone else does! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to offer this 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43. Produced from 1960 to 1984, the FJ43 is like an FJ40 for the person who craves a little extra cargo space. The FJ43s body is a foot longer than the FJ40! The FJ43 evolved from early Toyota BJ and J20 series 4x4s. These were copies of the classic US army Jeep during the Korean war. By 1960, Toyota had refined and perfected their recipe for the 4x4 runabout formula and deemed the FJ43 suitable for world export. This lovely Red FJ43 comes to us by way of Columbia and still powering it is the original numbers matching gasoline inline six-cylinder engine and mated to the original 3 speed manual with 4WD. This Truck appears to be blessed with a frame off restoration from top to bottom, inside and out. The old factory, canvas soft-top was replaced with a gray one that has the availability to roll open the side curtains for the rear passengers. The red painted exterior, gray top and painted gray accent pieces, became a combination that catches the eye and looks period correct. With a flick of the key, the 6-cylinder engine roars to life and pulls this little 4x4 down the road with minimal fuss. Its a plucky little truck with a borderline agricultural feel as it takes you back to that only the essentials driving experience FJ43s are known for. Its rugged, reliable, and has classic good looks! Everything youd want is a vintage 4x4! This 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 is for sale by our Atlanta Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information, please call our knowledgeable staff at (678)-894-4833 or email us at Atlanta@GatewayClassicCars.com.
