Description:

The slick black paint laid atop of the iconic 1950’s body lines on this classic Pontiac are to die for! This was the second generation of the Chieftain and back when it was being produced it featured cutting edge design qualities and a major upgrade under the hood. It was the first year that Pontiac dropped in the 316 CID V8 that was producing just over a whopping 190HP. Although it is not a true numbers matching car, you will still find a similar engine situated under the long heavy metal hood that has been freshened up. A trend that you will notice right away in both the interior and trunk area, is the well done tuck and roll upholstery. The extra labor that was needed to accomplish this look though was well worth it giving the car both a stylish 50’s look and a comfortable ride. While looking through the interior of this Chieftain, there was one thought that came to mind. What happened to this level of quality of craftsmanship and styling? The steering wheel alone has a glossy black paint with a chrome metal ring floating in the middle for the horn and a Chieftain emblem dipped in acrylic with a diamond background. This is the kind of attention to detail that has been lost over the years! The under carriage of this classic Pontiac is nearly as clean as the smooth finish on top and is show worthy. It is not just a pretty face! Jump in, turn the key, and almost instantly the V8 comes to life. It may be an automatic transmission, but don’t forget the parking brake! This transmission uses the neutral instead of a park position and relies on the parking brake to keep it from rolling away. Once the parking brake is removed, drop it into gear and cruise away with ease. The 316 has plenty of power to get you up to speed and cruises nicely. This Chieftain would make an excellent weekend cruiser that is guaranteed to turn heads where ever it goes! This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1956 Pontiac Chieftain in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (262)-891-4253 or email us at Milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com.

Description:

This good looking original numbers matching survivor-ish 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is for sale in our Louisville Showroom. This particular Bel Air is a two owner car! The original owner, a geography teacher, passed away in 1978. She bought the car as a gift to herself, when she was promoted at the University she worked at. At the time of her passing the odometer read 39000 miles. The 2nd owner purchased the ’57 Chevy in the early part of 1979. Minor work has been performed on the car over the years to keep it, but it has never gone through a full or partial restoration. The front fenders have been repaired, due to some small rust holes. Both doors show some slight damage, but overall the body in paint is in excellent condition for a nearly 60 year old car. The car was stored away for some time, so the mechanicals were gone through and serviced. The Bel Air is truly road worthy as it just made a 320+ journey to our Louisville Showroom. Under the hood, everything looks factory original and unmolested, hard to find in ’57 Chevrolet. The interior is in excellent shape, with the only wear showing in the drivers side carpet. The only reason this jewel is being sold because the owner has purchased his high school dream car. If you are looking for a well preserved all original 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, then give us a call and you be the 3rd owner! Options for this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air include; Power Steering, Vinyl interior wit cloth inserts, Bias Ply Wide White Wall tires and Hub Caps. To view this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air in greater detail, including an HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com or our Louisville showroom. Description:

Chevrolet introduced the Chevy II for the 1962 model year as a compact car to complement the Chevrolet Corvair. Three trim options were offered including the 100 Series, 300 Series, and Nova 400 Series. A short-lived 200 Series was also available but discontinued nearly immediately. Body styles included a two-door coupe, four-door sedan, convertible, and station wagon. It used semi-unibody construction with the front section joined to its unitized cabin and rear section, and clothed with squarish styling. Many of the components were bolted-on for easy replacement, including the fenders. The styling introduced for 1962 continued through 1965, followed by an extensive restyling for 1966 with sharper edges sourced from the Super Nova Concept car. The Chevy II nameplate was dropped after 1968, with Nova becoming a model rather than a trim designation. The Nova was replaced by the Chevrolet Citation for 1980, but returned in 1985 and produced through 1988. The 1963 Chevy II received minor exterior changes. Inside, it received new upholstery and trim. Between the Chevy IIs three series, the 100, 300, and Nova 400, there was a total of 10 body styles. Our light Blue Chevy II is a wolf in sheeps clothing! What appears to be a sedate vehicle from Grandmas garage, is actually a lightweight bullet with a potent 327, V-8, small block under the hood and backed by an automatic transmission! So, if you are into surprising your fellow motorists at the local stop lights, and, if they are sharper than they look, you may get over on them three or four times before they are on to you. But what fun you will have until the catch on. And, not only is this little rocket a performer, shes no slouch in the looks department either. Featuring a very nice, stock appearing blue interior, the bling factor really hits hard once the chrome items under the hood are revealed! This little 63 Chevy II has a lot of surprises! Our little Chevy II is going to appeal to a lo of different types of auto enthusiasts. So, we dont expect a long relationship between our staff and this very cute new consignment. If there is any possibility that you may want to own her, Please call your Classic Car Dream Connection at Gateway Classic Cars in Kansas City and we will be happy to provide you with the documents required to make this super fun driving machine yours! Obviously, Ford and Shelby had plans in the works, and the Shelby GT-H was born. The 2006 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-Hs styling is similar to its heritage brethren. Although the original Rent-A-Racers were available in a couple of different color configurations, black with gold stripes is the only option for the GT-H. Gateway Classic Cars is excited to present this gorgeous 1955 Chevrolet 3100 pick-up and our Milwaukee Showroom location. This is a fresh-fresh frame off restoration with only 200 miles on the new build. Every nut and bolt was touched on this awesome truck. The truck was originally built in 1955 at Fisher/Body GM in Janesville Wisconsin. 65 years later this 3100 has been bought back to its original glory and beyond. The build intention was to make an old school hot rod with some modern-day amenities. Underneath the hood is a small block Chevy 350 with tunnel ram attached to 350 Turbo automatic transmission. A Ford 9 posi rear end with a 308 gear ratio tops off the drivetrain. Modern amenities such as power steering, power brakes and rack & pinion makes this truck an absolute blast to drive. Gorgeous mat finish Buckskin paint with hand painted pinstripes compliments this Chevrolet 3100 very well. Even the interior has been done with attention to detail. From the refinished original dash with a new factory matched cluster to the saddle bench seat and carpet this is one of the nicest interiors you will find. Hand painted pinstripes continue on the glove box door and door panels. Tilt wheel and seatbelts are also a great addition. This is NO radio, but the wiring and speakers are already installed waiting for the radio of your choice to be installed and put into place. DO NOT miss out on this one of a kind 1955 Chevrolet 3100 pick-up.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Dallas is showcasing a 1955 Imperial Newport! The Chrysler Imperial, introduced in 1926, was Chryslers top-of-the-line vehicle for much of its history. Models were produced with the Chrysler name until 1954, and again from 1990 to 1993. The company positioned the cars as a prestige marque to rival Cadillac, Continental, Lincoln, Duesenberg, Pierce-Arrow, Cord, and Packard. The adjective Imperial according to Websters Dictionary means sovereign, supreme, superior or of unusual size or excellence. The word Imperial thus justly befits Chryslers highest-priced model. Exterior With the exterior bathed in green and white, and overall still holds its shine. Chrome and trim are very good with little to no corroding or dimpling, and overall shiny. This holds true for the bumpers bezels, and rear high mounted taillights. Badging is slightly worn in the color areas, and bumper on the rear shows some corrosion and staining at the point where the exhaust comes through it. Big steel panels, and a wide trim spear with a rear quarter swoop is noted on both sides in good condition. 15-inch chrome wire wheels with faux spinners in the centers are mounted within wide whites all around. Interior A swing of the massive doors and we are swimming in a sea of tuck and roll, piping, and smooth white leather. The front split-bench is mounted in a large metal base that provides power back and forth for the driver. If the rear bench was not in this car it would be in my living room serving as my coach, it is that plush, and it has a pullout area rest. I also need to mention the door panels with their white uppers in wide vertical embossed stripes, and the lowers are a deep green with a metal thread pattern that drips 1955. Seen also are power window toggles within the door pull. Keeping in tune with the motif, the dash is a two-tone green and white, drivers side in green with an instrument cluster of 2 circles. The bezels show slight corrosion but are indeed original. The dash is beautifully sculpted in a curved form and has a large radio speaker, a clock and Imperial in your grandmothers handwriting badge. A white headliner above nice and tight and deep green carpet below, and we are in 1955 luxury. Drivetrain A raise of the hood and we are greeted with the original 331ci Hemi engine topped with a 4-barrel carburetor. On the back is a 2-speed automatic Powerflite transmission which throws power back to 3.54 rear gears. Drive-Ability Just sitting inside this car we are in the lap of luxury and comfort. It started right up, idled smoothly, and took off with lots of Hemi 4-barrel power. Its a cruiser and provides a smooth ride. Cornering is good, and all appears to be working on the mechanical front. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to announce this Sunburst Orange 1968 Pontiac Firebird race car for sale. This is a true beast: sporting a 565 CID Reher-Morrison V8 with 1000HP normally aspirated horsepower, plus a 600HP Nitrous fogger system, youll be ready for some ridiculously low E.T. timeslips. The big 565 is backed by an air-shifted, all-aluminum BTE Racing Transmission Sportsman 3-speed automatic (with trans-brake) thats been fitted with a Neal Chance bolt-together torque racing torque converter. These NCRC converters feature removable pump and drive covers, which allow you to change the stator at the track! Topping the R-M 565 is a fully blueprinted and tuned 1200 CFM Dominator carb thats fed by a MagnaFuel 500 electric fuel pump, which ensures plenty of fuel delivery to this fire-breathing monster. An MSD racing ignition system provides the enhanced spark needed to get things lit off and keep the massive spark delivery thats needed to the plugs. A custom set of ceramic-coated Lemons headers scavenge the exhaust gases. The rear end is a built Ford 9-inch spool rear end with hardened 31-spline axles and 4.30:1 gears, ensuring a reliable, hard launch and plenty of top end capability. Keeping the enormous mill cooled is a massive aluminum radiator, CSR aluminum electric water pump, and Flex-O-Lite radiator fan. A complete Painless wiring harness and rocker-switch control panel provides complete control of this race cars starting and shutdown sequences and is virtually foolproof. Once you get launched, youll appreciate the tubular front control arms and rack and pinion steering, which will help you keep this monster straight and true for the quarter. At the end, the chute will assist the Wilwood disc brakes (at all 4 corners) haul you down to a safe turn-off speed. Theres no doubt youll appreciate the extended wheelie bars out back, because without them, youd be skidding down the track on the roof of this car after about 50 yards. The ultra-lightweight Billet Specialties Comp Series wheels up front have a set of M/T ET 26.0/4.5-15 drag race skinnies on them, and the rears are competition Centerline Racing wheels with some massive 31/10.5-15W M/T drag slicks that only have a few passes on them. Inside, the driver will notice (and appreciate) the well-equipped gauge pack, with twin fuel gauges and a nitrous gauge under the cowl hood; plus oil pressure, water and trans temp, voltmeter, and giant 10,000 AutoMeter tach (with memory) in the center of the cockpit are all angled nicely for the driver. The drivers Kirkey racing seat is outfitted with a G-Force Pro Series racing harness, which will keep things well-buckled in during those very quick runs down the track. Of course, to support the 600HP nitrous fogger system, you will need a giant nitrous bottle, which youll have along as your passenger...much more fun than having 2 seats! If you want a true racer that has been extremely well thought out and is ready to win races, this is the car for you. Available as a bill-of-sale only (no title/not street legal) race car, this is what you want to buy now, and take it to your first racetrack winning experience! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is excited to present this high-demand, 2nd GEN 1978 Pontiac Trans Am, W-72 4-speed. Pontiac fans know we have something special here: Z VIN code, Pontiacs 400 4BBL W72 version, 4-speed, with air conditioning. The W72 400s were the top engine option and were different, using the stronger early 70s 400 blocks, 6X-4 higher compression heads and other goodies. That made the 77-79 Trans Ams perform very close to, on par or BETTER than many of the muscle cars of the 60s. They were quicker than a 1970 GTO 455 HO, as well as Z28s and Corvettes in the mid to late 1970s. 1977 sealed their legacy in history when Smokey & the Bandit hit theaters. That 77-78 only front grill is simply iconic. This T/A came new with the aluminum snowflake wheels, larger rear sway bar, and WS6-specific tires, suggesting it also has the WS6 handling package, but we do not have the build sheet. We DO have the Pontiac Historic Services documentation confirming the colors, wheels, optional tires, W72 400 and more. VIN PREFIX IS 2W87Z8N (2=Pontiac W=Trans Am 87=2DR Coupe, Z=400 4BBl Pontiac V8, 8=1978, N=Norwood assembly Plant). Cowl Tag designates 2FS87 Firebird series as well as WS4 for the Trans Am model. Colors / Trim 75 75 Mayan Red with 11N A51 White Bucket interior. She was built the 4th week of September 1977 (1978 Model year See VIN & VIN tag photos). The matching VIN is present on the right front of the block and the heads are the correct 6X-4 W72 specific heads. This is a sweet driver, looking very nice outside. The WS6 package snowflake aluminum wheels look terrific, and the classic T/A splitters are in place. The factory sealed shaker scoop was drilled to allow the motor to roar even more. The hood bird is in place and a new set of correct sail panel Firebird emblems are included. The panel gaps are quite good, and the sheet metal is lightyears ahead of most we have seen. It is an attention getter, no doubt. Open the door to one of the coolest looking interiors GM ever made. It is in nice condition and is the optional Deluxe interior package. The white-red combination is a great combination and contrast to the exterior. The big 400 benefits from new, true dual exhaust and boy does she sound good! It runs and drives really well. The engine compartment looks complete, and era correct. Quick ratio power steering and power brakes make it easy to drive. Nice, honest 1978 Trans Am folks. Do not wait. These cars are getting hard to find in this condition, and combination. They have proven to be outstanding investments. Description:

Ladies and Gentlemen, Gateway Classic Cars in Kansas City is pleased to present a fun vehicle guaranteed to stand out in a crowd or even a very small gathering - a striking 1950 Willys Jeepster! The 1948-1951 Jeepster is a two-wheel-drive convertible designed by Brooks Stevens. Stevens and Willys hoped that returning World War II GIs would scoop up these fun-loving drop-tops as soon as they rolled off the assembly line. They are perhaps one of the most overlooked, but interesting, vehicles in the storied off-road makers past: a sporty automobile rather than an off-road vehicle, never offered with four-wheel drive or in any commercial guises during the four-year stint. This open-bodied car--an ever-increasing rarity as the Fifties neared--also has a spot in history as the last true phaeton offered by a major domestic automaker. The handsome Jeepster had the same front-end styling as the Willys wagon and pickup, but with a fancier look, thanks to Stevens stainless-steel T bar in the grille. As other automakers carpet-bombed the dealer lots with new cars, softening the post-war demand, Willys anticipated strong Jeepster sales from young couples and families as well. However, the buying public did find faults with the Jeepster, among them were its anemic engine and high price. At $1,765, the 1948 Jeepster cost slightly more than a Ford Super Deluxe club convertible, which had more desirable styling, functional windows and V-8 power. The Jeepsters soft top and especially drafty plastic side curtains made it impractical for cold-climate consumers. Despite its shortcomings, the Jeepster is a fun-to-drive yet practical vehicle with its open-air character and excellent gas mileage. As with many collectible Jeeps, its still a buyers market for Jeepsters, plus it enjoys a healthy aftermarket of parts that dont cost an arm and a leg. Our Terrific, better than new, Nassau Cream exterior with black and cream interior Jeepster is fun to look at and sheer joy to drive! There is no way to sit behind the wheel of this fun machine, on a sunny day and not have an ear-to-ear smile on your face! The same expression would be true on a cloudy day. The power plant of this Jeepster is a L-134, 4 cylinder engine backed by a three speed manual column shift. The idea is not to get their first, but to get there eventually! Bring friends, have a picnic, take a nap! The Jeepster lifestyle. If you are serious about devoting more time to automotive fun and not automotive restoration, the time to act it right now! Please call your Classic Car Dream Connection at Gateway Classic Cars in Kansas City and we will be happy to provide you with the documents required to make this super fun driving machine yours! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to offer this 1956 Ford Thunderbird. Two-seater Thunderbirds have been a staple of the hobby since, well, the very beginning. The appeal of cars like this 56 Thunderbird is easy to understand: V8 power, a carefree attitude, a top that goes down, and lots of style. This is a spectacular car in a rare color with some nice upgrades, offering a great Thunderbird experience that will stop traffic everywhere you go. Admittedly, Thunderbirds are popular cars and there are a lot of them available at any given moment, but if you have looked at them, you already know that good ones are sometimes tough to find. This one is nice in every way, starting with the rare Light Blue finish that really stands out. For many, the 56s are a favorite with numerous upgrades over the 55s, a continental kit, and a purer look than the 57s, and theres nobody who doesnt smile when they see this little convertible coming. The paint shows well and has minor flaws; someone spent a ton of time and money on this car, and it shows. Door gaps are good, the hood sits flush and the fender skirts (which, oddly enough, were optional) all fit well, more evidence of expensive, careful work. Chrome, which is always a big part of any 50s cars appeal, is good with the rear bumper offering built-in exhaust ports in the outer corners. Look it over carefully and you will see that there is a lot to like here. The interior is not quite stock but uses white and blue Vinyl buckets that make for a spectacular presentation; after all, the idea behind the Thunderbird isnt to keep a low profile. The seats and carpets were restored a few years ago and show minimal wear and the wrap-around feeling of the lightly customized cockpit is enhanced by the door panels. There is a custom center console with cup holders and an armrest, as well as a nicely integrated set of gauges and power window switches. A/C was added with discreet vents under the dash and a custom control panel in place of the factory heater controls. The white hardtop is removable, of course, but we really like the way the top looks against the vivid blue paint. Ford moved the spare tire outside the trunk to answer complaints about a lack of space, and this cars trunk is nicely finished. With 312 cubic inches and a 4-barrel carburetor, Fords Y-block V8 is a nice companion to the open-air experience. It is smooth, torquey, and generally unobtrusive, doing what you want without ever seeming to work hard. Breathing through a 4-barrel carburetor, it starts easily and runs well, and with a Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission, power brakes, and power steering. The chassis shows signs of having been driven, of course, but no major trouble spots the exhaust sounds muscular without being annoying. Spectacular chrome wire wheels really make the car and carry wide whitewall radials. A stunning car that is sorted and ready to enjoy, this Thunderbird stands out because it gives you more of everything that makes Thunderbirds so popular. Call today! Description:

Now featured in our Denver showroom is a built up 1964 Dodge 330 that packs a punch! Only around 600 miles on a rebuilt 426 Hemi with a cross ram intake that sounds very healthy with the turn of a key. Behind this iconic engine is a 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission that was rebuilt at the same time as the engine and shifts crisply between gears. The red paint is in good shape and pairs well with the black vinyl interior. As soon as you fire up the 426, you will realize quickly that this 330 means business. The thump that expels from the tailpipe hits you in the chest at idle. The ride is comfortable and feels very streetable while cruising but turns into a whole different animal as you start to lay into the throttle. This Dodge turns heads no matter where it goes and is an excellent option for someone who is looking for a classic car that will stand out from the crowd at the car show or race track. Description:

Honey, Hush!Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is excited to offer this REAL, Y84 Special Edition 1979 Pontiac Trans Am! Yes, you are looking at a genuine, Pontiac Historic Services documented Bandit Trans Am. Its safe to say most car folks remember how, back in the summer of 1977, Pontiacs Trans Am was catapulted into stardom (and over a river) in the movie Smokey and the Bandit, with Burt Reynolds, Jerry Reed, Sally Field, Jackie Gleason, and several other celebrities. They tore up the roads (and several cars) and gave Sherriff Buford T. Justice of Texas a run for his money across several states. Two more Smokey & the Bandit movies followed, in 1980 and 1983. This is a 16 option car, equipped with T-Tops, V8 6.6 Liter 4Bbl. 403, 3 speed automatic, air conditioning, soft ray glass, power steering & brakes, power windows, tilt wheel, rear defrost, and custom trim velour camel interior. The exterior finish has a nice deep shine and looks quite good. The air conditioning system is still there, but would require service. The camel color hobnail velour interior looks good and has had some restoration. It could be enjoyed as is or taken to the next level. The factory Fisher T-tops (part of the SE package) fit and latch well. As a note, the Fisher T-Tops are superior to the aftermarket ones in fit, ease of use and rigidity. The original storage pouches are included. The 403 fires up easily and runs well, and benefits from a newer, full dual exhaust system- which allows it to breathe easier. Pontiac fans know Pontiac stopped making its 400s back in 77 and began running out by early 1979. They reserved the remaining ones for 4-speed only cars, for the 1979 run. The 403 Oldsmobile-produced V8 filled the void for non 4-speed cars like this one. Theres plenty of power, cool sound, and those iconic looks to enjoy! Get ready for the compliments. It is getting harder and harder to find good examples of these cars. This one survived the demise of many and is still largely correct. We are offering it well below a #1 value, meaning one could buy it and still have plenty of room to improve it as desired. These are a piece of American History- and with the closure of Pontiac, they are becoming more desirable... still leading Z28s from the period in value. These Trans Ams are a lot of fun to drive and get a lot of attention. And clearly, have proven to be a good investment over the years when you consider the $8343.81 original price! Recent service includes new front springs, oil & filter, new gaskets for oil pan, valve covers, and transmission pan. This 1979 Pontiac Trans Am SE is located at the Fort Lauderdale showroom. Feel free to contact the sales team at 1-954-227-4202, or by email at fortlauderdale@gatewayclassiccars.com.
