Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Denver welcomes this 2013 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 with ONLY 7K miles! The Chevrolet Corvette (C6) is the sixth generation of the Corvette sports car that was produced by Chevrolet division of General Motors for the 2005 to 2013 model years. It is the first Corvette with exposed headlamps since the 1962 model. Production variants include the Z06, ZR1, Grand Sport, and 427 Convertible. Racing variants include the C6.R, an American Le Mans Series GT1 championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans GTE-Pro winner The Z06 arrived as a 2006 model in the third quarter of 2005 and is the lightest of all Corvette models. The Z06 was equipped with the largest-displacement small-block engine ever produced, a new 7,011 cc (7.0 L; 427.8 cu in) V8 engine codenamed the LS7. The engine has a power output of 505 hp (512 PS; 377 kW) at 6,300 rpm and 470 lb?ft (637 N?m) at 4,800 rpm of torque. The LS7 is the most powerful production naturally aspirated engine made by General Motors. In addition to the larger displacement engine, the Corvette Z06 has a dry sump oiling system, and connecting rods made out of titanium alloy. The frame of the Z06 is constructed from aluminum, saving 136 lb (62 kg) over the standard steel frame. Other weight saving measures such as balsa wood/carbon fiber composite floors and a magnesium alloy engine cradle were used. The Z06s body differentiates itself from the standard Corvette with its larger front and rear fenders and an intake inlet scoop on the front bumper. The front fenders are constructed with carbon fiber and the rear fenders contain ducts to aid in cooling the rear brakes. The Z06 weighed 3,130 lb (1,420 kg),[10] giving it a weight to power ratio of 6.2 pounds per horsepower (3.8 kg/kW), allowing it to achieve a fuel economy of 15 mpg US (16 L/100 km; 18 mpg imp) in the city and 24 mpg US (9.8 L/100 km; 29 mpg imp) on the highway.[11] The Z06 was the official pace car for both the 2006 Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500 race. Car and Driver recorded a 0-60 mph (97 km/h) acceleration time of 3.6 seconds and 1/4 mile in 11.7 seconds at 125 mph (201 km/h) in October 2005. The Z06 contains the following enhancements over the standard C6 Corvette: o Hand-built LS7 V8 with dry sump oiling system o Aluminum chassis with fixed roof o Larger/stiffer anti-sway bars o Stiffer springs and shocks o Larger rear spoiler and front splitter o Transmission cooler o Unique front fascia with intake inlet o Wider carbon fiber front and fiberglass rear fenders o Functional front and rear brake ducts for added brake system cooling o Unique light weight forged aluminum 18-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels; painted finish standard and chromed finish optional o Wider 275/35ZR18 tires in the front and wider 325/30ZR19 tires in the rear o Larger 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers, including cross-drilled 355 mm (14.0 in) front rotors and 340 mm (13 in) rear rotors o Optional 1LZ, 2LZ, and 3LZ trim packages. For the 2011 model year, the Z06 carbon edition was introduced, which carries over multiple parts from the high performance ZR1 including carbon ceramic brakes, active suspension, and other carbon fiber aerodynamic pieces. Only 500 were planned for production and actual production numbers were much lower, in total only about 250 were made. The 250 were optioned the same but did not have the carbon hood. In 2012 and 2013, these options could be ordered through the Z07 package on the Z06 Dont miss your opportunity to own a piece of real Chevrolet Corvette history in our Denver Showroom. Description:

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this impressive 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7. With a monstrous 429 CID V8 thumping away under the hood paired with a C6 3-speed automatic transmission this Cougar was built to move. However, the 3-speed leaves a bit to be desired, so some work needed to be done. An overdrive/underdrive unit was installed at the back of the trans effectively splitting all the gears making it operate similarly to a 6-speed transmission with overdrive. Paired with the mode done to the engine, this is an incredibly fun power-cruiser. Believed to be a numbers-matching vehicle and proven to be a true 429 car by the included Marti report, this is definitely a rare car! The metallic blue paint pop in the sunlight and contrasts beautifully against the white vinyl interior and landau top. A dual-mode exhaust lets you keep it quiet and respectable for cruising around the neighborhood while a flip of the switch turns it into a fire-breathing monster letting out apocalyptic thunder from the exhaust. This 1971 Mercury Cougar is sure to get your heart pumping. Options include: Air-Conditioning, AM/FM/CD, Spare Tire, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Jack, Tilt Steering Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires with Raised White Letters, Rally Wheels, and Posi Traction rear axle. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present a 1963 Nova SS Gasser street car for sale in our Atlanta showroom. This recent build with just 1,200-miles, took part in the 2018 Power Tour, accounting for 840- of those miles. She is powered by a dual quad 355 cu in; 10.7-1 Hypermatic flat top pistons; with 59cc aluminum heads, driving through a Muncie M-21 close ratio transmission to a 10 bolt positraction rear end with 3:55 gears. The steel body is painted in the original Fawn Gold paint with heavy metallic, and the interior is the matching color, with light-weight bucket seats, lacking the rear seat. She screams like in the old days with the wheel well headers, and the sparkle in the paint. This car is a head turner, and a smile fetcher! The build information is documented, and contained in the file. Here is some history for those who would like background on this exciting style of dragster. The term Gasser refers to a style of drag race car that was prolific in the late 1950s through the 1960s that ran on gasoline as fuel, as opposed to race fuel. These cars typically competed in heads up drag races that were classed by engine size and car weight. In the faster classes the cars used a straight axle front suspension that produced the intimidating stance that gassers are known for. Easily recognized by common features like the higher front end stance that was developed as a means of weight transfer to the rear wheels for traction, this style became popular later as builders attempted to achieve a traditional or nostalgic race look. These cars became fan favorites as the well-known racers began to run grudge matches for higher purses. In no time these matches were the top billing at many shows due to the crowd entertainment factor. Gassers were the top drag racing classes in the period that is now referred to as the gasser war years, which ranged from 1955 through 1968.In addition to the straight axle, most gassers also sported Halibrand wheels, no front bumper, and had a front mounted Moon tank. The gasser form was dictated by function and most builders looked to eliminate as much weight as possible. Having their exhaust pipes exit through the front fender to shorten the length of exhaust tubing is another common characteristic of gassers. Builders used 1930s through 1950s production coupes or sedans to create these highly modified racing vehicles. Late model cars were not allowed in the Gas classes until 1967, and the gas classes were totally eliminated by NHRA in 1972. They run today all over the United States and down under in Australia and New Zealand in vintage and nostalgia drags. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this ultra-rare 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS. The Camaro was Chevy’s answer to the revolutionary Mustang that Ford had introduced in 64. Although it was late to the party there is no doubt that the Camaro had a huge impact and influence on the automotive industry. This 67 is an unbelievably rare find with options that were pieced together for a very specific customer. So, rare that you will only find a total of 17 of them ever made and probably the only one to exist today. This beautifully restored 67 has everything a collector is looking for from the complete original paperwork to the numbers matching drivetrain this one has all the boxes checked. Let’s start off with the most important thing when talking about a muscle car, the engine. This little Mustang eater is packing a serious punch with the original SS350/295 horse engine intact and completely rebuilt. Matched up to the exact power glide transmission it left the factory with this blue beauty rides and drives just like it should. As with the rest of the car the exterior was brought back to its original form. The Marina Blue paint is as slick as they come with the correct white vinyl top bringing the car back to original condition. The bias ply tires give the look and ride quality of a true 1967 Camaro with the Rally wheels being almost as iconic as the car itself. Open the door and this is where things get different. The bench seat is probably going to be the first thing you notice with a very limited number of Camaro’s, especially SS/RS cars, having that option. Then you notice the vinyl interior with the piping around the edges giving away the premium interior option. Not rare enough then you should flip down the back seat as it another highly rare option that many did not take advantage of. We have had a lot of cars come through our showroom but I don’t believe we have had one with such an array of options. Whether you are a collector looking for a on off piece or just an enthusiast looking for an incredibly clean first gen Camaro this car will make a great addition for either one. Options on this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS include, AC, AM/FM Radio, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt, Power Windows, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts and Bias Ply Tires wrapped around Rally Wheels. This goregous 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (812)294-1555 or email us at Louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com.
