Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present a selection of gas dragsters Gassers for sale in our Indianapolis showroom. This one, The Flash!, is a 1946 Ford Anglia fiberglass body on a custom frame powered by a 355 Chevrolet engine driving through a Chevrolet 350 transmission. It is a B/Gas dragster with a 9 Ford Posi rear end with a 3.83:1 ratio. Beautifully finished in a gold and red PPG metalflake exterior with a contrasting red and gold interior, it is sure to turn heads on the street or strip. Here is some history for those who would like background on this exciting style of dragster. The term Gasser refers to a style of drag race car that was prolific in the late 1950s through the 1960s that ran on gasoline as fuel, as opposed to race fuel. These cars typically competed in heads up drag races that were classed by engine size and car weight. In the faster classes the cars used a straight axle front suspension that produced the intimidating stance that gassers are known for. Easily recognized by common features like the higher front end stance that was developed as a means of weight transfer to the rear wheels for traction, this style became popular later as builders attempted to achieve a traditional or nostalgic race look. These cars became fan favorites as the well-known racers began to run grudge matches for higher purses. In no time these matches were the top billing at many shows due to the crowd entertainment factor. Gassers were the top drag racing classes in the period that is now referred to as the gasser war years, which ranged from 1955 through 1968.In addition to the straight axle, most gassers also sported Halibrand wheels, no front bumper, and had a front mounted Moon tank. The gasser form was dictated by function and most builders looked to eliminate as much weight as possible. Having their exhaust pipes exit through the front fender to shorten the length of exhaust tubing is another common characteristic of gassers. Builders used 1930s through 1950s production coupes or sedans to create these highly modified racing vehicles. The most common base vehicles were Willys coupes, Austin and Anglia sedans, and the Chevy Tri-Five cars. Late model cars were not allowed in the Gas classes until 1967, and the gas classes were totally eliminated by NHRA in 1972. They run today all over the United States and down under in Australia and New Zealand in vintage and nostalgia drags. To view The Flash!, please visit our site at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call 317-688-1100, or email us at indy@gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is honored to offer this beautiful-in-blue 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible for sale right now in our showroom, located in Carmel Indiana. This is definitely one of my favorite pieces of inventory in stock and its only been in the showroom a few days. This vehicle underwent a frame-off restoration under previous ownership and has been maintained impeccably by the current owner. This 1966 Chevelle for sale is painted in blue which compliments the white vinyl interior perfectly. It also has a white convertible top that is operated manually and is also in fantastic condition. There really isnt much to do to this Chevelle cosmetically speaking. This car comes with a big block 396 CID V8 that has been punched to 402 cubic inches. Disclosure: this is not a gas saving motor with the two 4-bbl carburetors! You will have plenty to smile about when you let the clutch go and take off through the 4-speed manual transmission. The rear end on this car is geared to 3:73 which is on the low side but again, youll be grinning from ear-to-ear when you beat the competition off the line. Inside the cabin, youll find some nice add-ons such as a (working!) original clock by the floor shifter, a mounted tachometer, Jensen stereo and aftermarket tachometer/temperature/volt-meter/oil pressure gauges. As far as drop-top muscle cars go, this one is hard to beat. Give our Sales staff a call today at (317) 688-1100 for more information on this 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible or any of our other inventory for sale. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this one-owner 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. The Z06 arrived as a 2006 model in the third quarter of 2005 and is the lightest of all Corvette models. The Z06 was equipped with the largest-displacement small-block engine ever produced, a new 7,011 cc (7.0 L; 427.8 cu in) V8 engine named LS7 produced 505 bhp @ 6300 rpm and 470 lb·ft of torque @ 4800 rpm, is the most powerful naturally aspirated engine put into a production car from General Motors. In addition to the larger displacement engine, the Corvette Z06 has a dry sump oiling system, and connecting rods made out of titanium alloy. The frame of the Z06 is constructed from aluminum, saving 136 pounds over the standard steel frame. Other weight saving measures such as balsa wood/carbon fiber composite floors and a magnesium alloy engine cradle were used. The Z06s body differentiates itself from the standard Corvette with its larger front and rear fenders and an intake inlet scoop on the front bumper. The front fenders are constructed with carbon fiber and the rear fenders contain ducts to aid in cooling the rear brakes. The Z06 weighed 3,130 lb giving it a weight to power ratio of 6.2 pounds per horsepower, allowing it to achieve a fuel economy of 15 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. The Z06 was the official pace car for both the 2006 Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500 race. This one-owner example has only 2,838 actual miles and is basically a new car. The Velocity Yellow Tintcoat paint is in great condition and looks new as well. The black interior is flawless and looks as if it was never even sat in. The Z06 contains the following enhancements over the standard C6 Corvette: Hand-built LS7 7.0L / 427 CID V8 with dry sump oiling system, Aluminum chassis with fixed roof, Larger/stiffer anti-sway bars, Stiffer springs and shocks, Larger rear spoiler and front splitter, Transmission cooler, Unique front fascia with intake inlet, Wider carbon fiber front and fiberglass rear fenders, Functional front and rear brake ducts for added brake system cooling, Unique light weight forged aluminum 18-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels; painted finish standard and chromed finish optional, Wider 275/35ZR18 tires in the front and wider 325/30ZR19 tires in the rear, Larger 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers, including cross-drilled 355 mm (14.0 in) front rotors and 340 mm (13 in) rear rotors. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this bad to the bone 1967 Pontiac GTO. This GTO is a pristine true 242 VIN actual GOAT. The gorgeous silver exterior and red interior with redline tires is a truly unique, eye catching blend thatll have every one of your neighbors dreaming of being you. This beauty is powered by a 428 CID engine mated to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission with a his and hers slap shift. The engine was rebuilt about 500 miles and 5 months ago, it will put you back into the seat. When looking at he quality of this build, besides the fit and finish being to a T, the quality of the parts is also a positive factor. The A/C lines were ran through the fender instead of drilling through the firewall, it has a March pulley system, electric fans, Holley performance carburetor, long tube headers, and even Pontiac valve covers on the famously blue Pontiac block. The current owner has owned and enjoyed this car for 12 plus years and has kept documentation over the years. The interior didnt have any corners cut either, notice the small area above the door panel is matched instead of being left black or body colored. The whole interior is in great condition! Notable features on this beautiful machine would have to be the R134a Vintage A/C system, power brakes, power steering, red vinyl interior, deep dish rally wheels wrapped in radial redline tires, and so much more! If you are looking for a real 242 GTO that is turnkey and ready to roll, this is the car for you. Give yourself an adrenaline rush and a shot of nostalgia when you get this one of a kind 1967 GTO in your driveway. This 1967 Pontiac GTO is for sale by our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Up for sale in our Tampa showroom is this sharp 1969 Red Chevrolet C10 Resto-Mod. As you can see from the pictures this gorgeous C10 has been restored from the ground up. Starting with: RideTech Air Ride on all four corners, monstrous Willwood brake system, slotted and cross drilled rotors up front, slotted rotors in the back, six piston front calipers, four piston rears. Youll be glad to have those massive brakes when you let loose all the horses of the 434 CID Custom Dart V8. With only 700 miles on the motor since the build. Backed by a four speed 700R4 automatic transmission, linked up to a 12-bolt 3.73 rear end. Hop inside this beautiful second gen. C10 and youll notice the custom work continues with the bench seat and the Velocity gauges. Originally a 327 CID V8 engine was dropped in 1969 in favor of the 350 CID variant rated at 255 gross HP. Along with the new engines came a new grille design for Chevrolet trucks and a more upright hood for both Chevrolet and GMC trucks. A utility variant, known as the K5 Blazer, was also introduced with a shorter wheelbase of 104 inches. The GMC version, known as the Jimmy, was introduced the same year. Some internal cab changes were also made, most notably the switch from a hand-operated parking brake to a foot pedal, and a more modern looking two-spoke steering wheel with plastic horn button replaced the previous years three-spoke wheel with chrome horn button. Also new this year were upper and lower side moldings, which added another two-tone paint option. These were standard on CST trucks, and optional in any other trim level. Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this stunning 1967 Chevelle ss. The chevelle is a true contender for the King of the streets, from the factory it sported a powerful 396 Cui. V-8 mounted in a smaller, light frame with a revised four link suspensions setup. This guarantees the chevelle a better power to rate ration than its chunkier brothers and a solid platform through which to put its power down. This particular 67 chevelle is a true 138 series car repainted in a deep Blue. The color on this car alone is amazing, and flows perfectly into the black vinyl interior. Beyond that this car is more than just a poster child, The entire drive-train and suspension has been redone and beefed up for real performance. In the front of the car the owner opted to swap out the small 396 and replaced it with a 454Cui. V-8, he then proceeded to punch the motor out to a beefy 496 Cui! The motor is mated to a four -speed muncie M22 transmission that transfers the power down the custom driveshaft to the meaty GM 12 bolt rear end. This Chevelle does a justice to its namesake. offering high quality timeless styling, while also having a build sheet longer than most college textbooks. Description:

The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1970 Pontiac GTO. I am sure you have a friend who is particular in everything they do. Well this is a car is been loved in that particular way. It is hard to find anything which has not been extremely well taken care or meticulously maintained. The current 13 year owner has made this car his passion and has many photos taken with Chip Foose with the car. The GTO sports all GM sheetmetal and the quarters have been replaced with vintage 70 GM metal by GraveRobbers. All body and paint has been completed Scott Blalock at Blalock Customs in Marietta Georgia. There are plenty of photos of the restoration and build. There is a PHS on this car ready for you to view. This rebuilt 400 with RAM Air III has the original rebuilt TH400 transmission with shift kit. There is no bones about it, this car hauls the mail. The $8,000 single stage plus clear coat cardinal red exterior and medium saddle interior makes this car a show stopper. If you are looking for a car that is top show ready, a bruiser on the street, and has a document build history this is the one you are looking for to put in your garage. How fast do you want to go is equivalent to how much money you have to spend. The GTO blends a little bit of both performance and comfort for the $$. Ask an automotive historian about the pinnacle year for muscle car performance, and 1970 is usually the answer. When GM lifted its cubic-inch limit for midsizes and compacts, Chevrolet, Buick, and Oldsmobile rushed out of the gates with a 454 and 455s that made the Class of 1970 the fastest ever. Pontiac, though, is the exception. While a 455 was introduced for the GTO, it wasn’t the fastest Goat. The 455 GTO was rated at 360 hp, competitive with similar engines in the industry, but Pontiac didn’t put much effort into making it the barnstormers that the LS6, Stage 1, and W-30 were. Two 400sâ€the Ram Air III and IVâ€made more horsepower. The 455 didn’t even receive the RA III/IV’s long-branch manifolds. This is an automotive Icon, own one today. Options include: AC, Performance tires, power steering, power brakes, rally wheels, radial tires, vinyl interior, tilt wheel, seat belts. To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For more information please call the Atlanta showroom at 678-894-4833! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to present this lightweight roadster 1967* Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Replica for sale right now at our Arizona showroom, located in North Phoenix. Sit down, hold tight, and have fun! Thats what this car is all about. The combination of a lightweight fiberglass body with a cool classic appearance and thundering big block power is a win-win situation for any driving enthusiast. Most Ford nuts have their Cobra replicas to enjoy but this one is for the Bowtie enthusiasts! Real C2 Grand Sports are one of the rarest Corvettes ever made but this kit does a good job of imitating a much higher priced vehicle that is inaccessible to most of us who just want to have a good time. The front bumper elimination and stinger hood with extra intakes help this speed demon breathe deeply while the wide, authentic body kit painted in red with sponsor stickers and fender flares complete the racing look. The engine bay is filled with big block power: Chevrolets 396 CID motor is already known for plenty of muscle, and this example has been upgraded further with components like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, MSD ignition, and headers that feed directly into the growling side piped dual exhaust. The Muncie four-speed manual transmission is more than enough to handle all this muscle, and you even have power steering for added control. This is a Corvette too, so you get fully independent sport suspension and 4-wheel disc brakes to help with handling and stopping. The quality continues inside the cockpit with black leather bucket seats that feature extra bolstering and 4-point harnesses to keep you planted even when you throw this baby into a corner at speed. This 1967* Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Replica is a terrific opportunity to invest in some Smiles-Per-Gallon, and a unique car at that. Dont miss out on being the next owner of GMs answer to the Shelby Cobra! Give our helpful and knowledgeable Sales staff a call on this ready-to-race 1967* Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Replica for sale right now at (623) 900-4884 for more information.
