Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this awesome 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1! Coming off of a benchmark year for Ford the 69-70 Mustangs were hot and sales were through the roof, especially for the Mach 1. The Mach 1 package was only available in the Sportsroof body style, (previously known as a fastback); never on the hardtop or convertible. The Mach 1 is known for having 2 variations of the 351 CI V8. The 2 valve Windsor and the notorious 4 valve Cleveland. This example was built at Dearborn and has the Cleveland engine mated to the optional FMX 3 speed transmission. Ordered from the factory with black hood stripe, conveniece group, the previosuly mentioned transmission, and sport deck rear seat. Other options incude power steering, a/c, AM/FM radio, factory tinted glass and a tachometer. Approaching the car it looks black as night, a stealth fighter in the shadows, but upon further inspection you notice the sheen of a Jade Black finish, a beautiful shade for this muscle car. The exterior is in great condition and the black leather bucket seats hardly look to have been used. This Mustang was 1 of only about 2000 made with these paint/trim codes, and 1 of less than 1,000 that was ordered from that DSO. This incredible machine is from the most iconic era of muscle. No matter what angle you look at it you cant help but want it more! This beautiful 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars welcomes this incredible 1958 Fleetwood 4 Door Hard Top Cadillac into our Denver Showroom! Lawrence P. Fisher was the Fisher brother most closely involved with Cadillac in its early years. In 1916, he joined the Fisher Body Company, which had been formed by two of his brothers in 1908. Larry (as people knew him) was one of four of the seven Fisher brothers who brought Fisher Body Corporation under the General Motors umbrella in 1919. In May 1925, Alfred P. Sloan, then the head of General Motors, appointed Fisher as Cadillac General Manager, an office he retained through 1934. Fisher immediately went to work adding exclusive, custom bodies to the Cadillac range. Thus he oversaw the purchase of the Fleetwood Metal Body Company by the Fisher Body Corporation in September 1925.[1] The Fleetwood Body Company of Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, was founded by Harry Urich in the nineteenth century. It began as a small community of craftsmen founded by Henry Fleetwood, Esq. of Penwortham, near Lancaster, England (the Fleetwood family flourished in England in the 17th and 18th centuries). The rich traditions of 300 years of coach-building that the Fleetwood Body Company applied to its work on cars secured for it a high reputation in automobile circles worldwide by the 1920s. Coachwork was built by Fleetwood for a variety of luxury makes through 1924. However, after the Fisher Body Corporation purchased the Fleetwood Body Company in 1925, Fleetwood bodies were reserved exclusively for Cadillac. By 1929 GM had purchased the remaining stock holdings of the Fisher Body Corporation and thus became sole owner of both the Fisher and Fleetwood companies Cadillac used the Fleetwood name as a prefix between 1934 and 1976 on several of its most expensive models, always designating an elevated level of luxury. Between 1958 and 1961, Cadillac used the Brougham sub-designation for its exclusive four-door Eldorado models. The Fleetwood script and crest would not appear on the exterior of any Cadillac until the 1947 model year when it appeared on the rear deck lid of the Sixty Special. By 1952 it also appeared on the rear deck lid of the Series 75. In 1957 the Cadillac Series 70 Eldorado Brougham joined the Sixty Special and the Series 75 as the only Cadillac models with Fleetwood bodies although Fleetwood script or crests did not appear anywhere on the exterior of the car.[4] This marked the first time in 20 years that a Fleetwood bodied car was paired with the Brougham name.[2][3][5] When production of the Eldorado Brougham was shifted in 1959 from the Cadillac Fleetwood plant in Detroit to Pininfarina in Turin, Italy, only then did it acquire Fleetwood wheel discs[6] and door sill moldings,[7] presumably because the design work[7] and final touches[8] were still being done by Fleetwood. This beautiful Dakota Red Fleetwood features an impeccable custom Silver/Black interior. It features the original 365CI V8 Engine and 4-Speed Auto Transmission, with only 94,335 miles on the clock. This timeless American Classic will fit right into any car collection! Restoration completed within 1,000 miles ago. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Denver welcomes this 1970 K5 Blazer! This one does have an added :Roll cage , Nerf Bars, Lift, Rhino coated Top, instrument gauges. The Engine / Transmission have been rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago. The Chevrolet K5 Blazer is a full-size sport-utility vehicle that was built by General Motors. GMs smallest full-size SUV, it is part of the Chevrolet C/K truck family. Introduced to the Chevrolet line for the 1969 model year, the K5 Blazer was replaced for 1995 by the Chevrolet Tahoe. In 1970, GMC introduced its own model of the truck, called the Jimmy, which was discontinued in 1991 and replaced by the Yukon. The Jimmy name was chosen to reflect how GM may sound in a similar manner to how Jeep was thought to be a pronunciation of GP in the competing market.[citation needed] Both were short-wheelbase trucks and available with either rear- or four-wheel drive. The K5 Blazer and Jimmy had full convertible removable tops until 1975. For 1976, GM introduced a half-cab design that was less prone to leaks and slightly safer in a roll-over. These half cabs had the convertible top begin a few inches behind the driver/passenger doors and run back to the tailgate. The original K5 was a short wheelbase truck. It was available in 1969 model year as four-wheel drive only; for 1970, a two-wheel drive model was offered. There were four choices for power plants: the 250 straight-6, the 292 straight-6, the 307 V8, and the 350 V8. The Blazer was designed and marketed to compete with International Harvester Scout and the Ford Bronco. Both of these were originally aimed at the short Jeep CJ series, which were much smaller than other trucks. The innovation of the Blazer was to simply offer a shortened pickup truck, which both increased interior space, and lowered the cost of production with a shared platform. The Blazer quickly became popular. For the first time, it married the off-road capabilities of the Scout with the luxury features like air conditioning and automatic transmissions routinely available on pickup trucks. By 1970, the Blazer was already outselling both of its older rivals. Ford, Dodge, and even Jeep would counter with similar shortened pickups, with the Dodge Ramcharger and Jeep Cherokee. It also came as a convertible.[3] The two-wheel drive version came with independent front suspension and rear trailing arms, both with coil springs. The four-wheel drive version had a solid front axle and used leaf springs front and rear. Both versions used drum brakes at all four corners until 1971, when the entire GM light truck line got standard front discs. A tachometer was optional.[4] There was also a choice between a three-speed automatic transmission Turbo Hydromatic (TH350), a three-speed manual transmission, and a four-speed Synchromesh (SM465) manual transmission, often referred to as the granny gear due to its 6.55:1 low first gear. Two transfer cases were offered: the Dana 20, available only with the manual transmissions, or the NP-205, available with both types of transmissions. The Blazer had 8 inches (200 mm) of ground clearance and an approach angle of 35°. Description:

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this restored 1947 Chevrolet 3800. This massive 1 ton is a big-time head turner, not only for its size but for the clean frame off restoration that was done as well. The restoration was completed by Dave Chapman @ Hollister RD Motors. The truck features a stout I6 which doesnt seem like much, but it will push you down the road with ease. The engine has roughly 1,600 miles on it since the rebuild and is paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. The truck also features 4:11 gears, power steering, and of course A/C to keep you cool out on the farm. Moving around the truck you will see it is sprayed in a sleek butternut yellow. With color matching wheels and a massive 9ft bed, this truck is sure to take home a price at your local car show. This pickup was also known as the Thriftmaster and was the first year of truck series by Chevrolet after WWII. A fun fact is that from 1947-1955 these trucks were the number one in sales in the United States. If that doesnt scream America I dont know what does. Some other options include 4-wheel disk brakes, matching spare tire, and custom wood bed. Jumping into the drivers seat you will be comforted by an original styled bench seat that is in great condition. Another neat feature is the manual shifter mounted in the floor. In 1948 Chevrolet decided to change the mounting point up to the column making this what is to be believed as a 1-year option on this truck. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Denver welcomes this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette ! This one is a one owner, Numbers matching 427 and 4 Speed car. The 427 was bored out 30 Thousandths. It does have Factory A/C (Currently not working) The car comes with the original bill of sale and the factory protect o plate and maintenance records. The Chevrolet Corvette (C3) was a sports car that was produced from 1967 to 1982 by Chevrolet for the 1968 through 1982 model years. Engines and chassis components were mostly carried over from the previous generation, but the body and interior were new. It set new sales records with 53,807 produced for the 1979 model year.[4] The C3 is the third generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, and marks the second time the Corvette would carry the Stingray name, though only for the 1969 - 1976 model years. This time it was a single word as opposed to Sting Ray as used for the 1963 - 1967 C2 generation. The name would then be retired until 2014 when it was re-introduced with the release of the C7. The Big Block options were: L36, a 390 hp (291 kW) version with a Rochester 4-barrel carburetor; The L68, a 400 hp (298 kW) motor with a Holley triple 2-barrel carb set up (3 X 2 tri-power); The L71, generating 435 bhp (441 PS; 324 kW) at 5,800 rpm and 460 lb?ft (624 N?m) at 4,000 rpm of torque also with a tri-power;[7] The L89 option was the L71 engine but with much lighter aluminum cylinder heads rather than the standard cast iron. Then there was the L88 engine that Chevrolet designed strictly for off-road use (racing), with a published rating of 430 hp (321 kW), but featured a high-capacity 4-barrel carb, aluminum heads, a unique air induction system, and an ultra-high compression ratio (12.5:1).[8] All small block cars had low-profile hoods. All big block cars had domed hoods for additional engine clearance with twin simulated vents and “427 emblems on either side of the dome. The new seven-inch wide steel wheels had F70x15 nylon bias-ply tires standard with either white or red stripe tires optional. Rare options were: L88 engine (80), J56 heavy-duty brakes (81), UA6 alarm system (388), L89 aluminum heads (Source: Wikipedia) Dont miss your opportunity to own a piece of American Corvette history in our Denver Showroom. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is excited to present this gorgeous blue 1948 Lincoln Continental Series 876H Convertible for sale. This beautiful vintage Series 876H convertible came pretty loaded from the factory and has aged extremely well for a car thats over 70 years old and is still ready to drive! Powered by what is believed to be its original 292 CID V12 and 3-speed manual transmission, it still floats down the road like the executives car that it was designed to be - powerful, smooth, and stately. This car was lovingly restored by World Wide Classics, who did all of the paint, chrome and the interior. Speaking of chrome, its adorned with plenty of the gleaming stuff...its sure to bring back fond memories for anyone who was around when this car was still fairly new. The blue metallic paint is in very good condition, and glistens in the sun. The dog dish hubcaps gleam, and the side skirts and Continental Kit add extra panache to this glorious ride. Inside, some of the best smelling red leather upholstery youll find is abundant, and the red carpet looks great. This big Lincoln also sports some very cool door releases: both the exterior and interior units are push-button operated. The power windows are operated by a couple similarly styled toggle-action buttons on the drivers and passengers doors. The big clock in the dash looks awesome, and it can certainly be refurbished to operate like it did when it was new. Youll be sure to appreciate the nostalgic feeling that sitting in the pilots seat will provide. So, what are you waiting for - get in, start it up, drop the automatic convertible top, and slip it into gear. Youll relish the commanding view down the long hood, with the wide, graceful front fenders low in the sight lines. Description:

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this great example of a 1966 Pontiac GTO that has a great mix between classic looks and performance! A nice restoration and repaint was finished a few years back looking nearly and as good as it did the day it was completed. The exterior color is an eye-popping Gold that separates it from others on the road. While according to the PHS docs this car was originally a H.D 3-speed with a 389 CID V8, this beauty is now powered by a strong running 455 CID V8 and has been paired up to a 4-speed manual transmission. With power steering, and power brakes this car still handles much like it did from the factory. A few more modern changes have been added to include dual electric fans, MSD ignition, and aluminum radiator to ensure proper cooling. The ride has also been improved slightly with the coil over shocks added to the rear. Even a fresh fuel tank was added during the restoration, so you dont have to worry about 40+ years of old gas, dirt, and debris sitting at the bottom of the tank. Getting into the driver seat you will notice its mostly original apart from a nicely done aftermarket gauge cluster, and a nice digital display for your stereo. The black leather seats are in great shape with no major rips or tears either.
