Gateway Classic Cars of Detroit is proud to present this beautiful 1972 Volkswagen Transporter Van for sale in our Detroit Showroom. This is one of the cleanest VW buses you will ever lay your eyes on. This bus comes in a very classy shade of maroon and cream with accompanying new chrome accents. These buses are not known for their speed; however, this bus comes equipped with a freshly rebuilt 1974 2.0L Porsche 914 motor which makes 130HP, well over the stock 70HP. This makes the bus a lot of fun to drive when youre cruising down the road using the 4-speed manual floor shift transmission with ease. Once you get the van to a steady cruising speed, crank up the tunes through the upgraded, flip up screen radio and CD player and enjoy the comfortable ride. The chrome is not the only thing newly refurbished in this sweet Transporter Van. The seats, carpeting, and headliner have all been redone recently making the van look like new on the inside. The color scheme of the interior is a great match to the exterior, being that it is maroon, cream, and black. This VW bus is a great find for any bus enthusiast or even someone who is looking at getting a VW van in great shape. It will check all your boxes and give you the experience of a lifetime. Other options on this gorgeous 1972 Volkswagen Transporter van include: AM/FM radio with CD player and digital screen, chrome hub caps, radial tires, upgraded sound system, and spare tire with a jack. Description:

This 1960 Cadillac 62 Special is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. This Caddy straight out of lowrider heaven is sure to turn some heads when aired out or flying down the road thanks to its terrifying new heart. This crazy build is powered by none other than the infamous 8.1L v10 SRT Viper engine. Not only can you lay low into the concrete in this bad ride, you can outrun just about anything on the street. This newer beast of a powerplant is backed by a new age 6 speed automatic transmission. The car has only been driven 4,500 miles since the drivetrain was transplanted. Headers have been added as well as remote side pipe cut-outs giving you the option to cruise quietly through your neighborhood and then when you are feeling the need you can flip a switch to hear all 10 cylinders roar. A custom wiring harness by Hotwire has been fabricated along side a combination of Ridetech and Airmaxxx air suspension. This set up allows you to air the car completely out to where it just barely clears the pavement as well as to air up to a proper driving ride height. There is nothing quite like seeing a slick ride pulling into a car meet then seal the wow factor by airing out all the way to the ground. The raw black painted exterior of this rat rod is only as good as its clean black interior and custom headliner. The “Tijuana Taxi” is bad enough to even put a smile on the faces of all Cadillac purists To view this 1960 Cadillac 62 Special in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Our Kansas City showroom is thrilled to offer this a stunning 1955 Ford Thunderbird that is very much original with modern changes making it a great drivers car! The Thunderbird was Henry Fords response to the Chevrolet Corvette, and was revealed at the Detroit Auto Show on February 20, 1954. No one could have predicted the success the Thunderbird would have. The Thunderbirds first year of production literally outsold the Corvette more than 23 to 1. Though it was sleek and sporty, the Thunderbird was not considered a sports car to Ford, but a personal luxury vehicle. This Torch Red beauty is a fine example of that first year, a great representation of the epic Thunderbird line. With a short and stout body, lovely curves, and a removable hard top, its a real looker. Some of the modern touches to this T-Bird includes the wide white wall radial tires. This Thunderbird for sale is powered by a legendary 292 cubic inch Y-Block V8 and is accompanied by a rare manual transmission, which makes it a fun a nice cruiser for anyone and everyone. The red interior was reupholstered, and the carpet was replaced giving the interior the look it did coming right out of the showroom back in 1955. This fun driving 1955 Thunderbird convertible for sale is ready to head on down to the local cruise-in, drive-in movie or road trip! To view this vehicle in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures at Kansas.City@gatewayclassiccars.com or call us today at 913-815-1340. Description:

Our Nashville showroom digitally showcases this very original 1938 Ford DeLuxe four door convertible. While the vast majority of automobiles built in the U.S. in the late 1930s had closed bodies, open cars still carried an aura of luxury and exclusivity. Even Ford, which perfected mass production, introduced a new open car that combined the best features of a closed body, a cabriolet, and a four-door sedan into one single design. Offered only in DeLuxe trim, the distinctive Convertible Sedan drew many prospective buyers into Ford showrooms. This example came from a car museum in the Southeast and left the factory with nearly every one of the 20+ factory options for the year and model. These included deluxe hubcaps, deluxe wheels, cigarette lighter, side mirrors, dash clock, bumper guards, glove box, and many more! This car came with an 85 bhp, 221 cu. in. V-8 engine with a two-barrel Stromberg carburetor, three-speed manual transmission, solid front axle with transverse leaf spring, semi-floating rear axle with transverse leaf spring , and four-wheel mechanical drum brakes. The car has been outfitted with a few newer parts to improve drivability and safety. The upgrades include a new griffin radiator to handle the rigors of modern driving, new distributor and coil, new battery, and an alternator conversion. These upgrades were done to convert the car from six to twelve volt for convince and safety. If you are looking for a great example of a survivor pre-war touring car, this is the one! For more information call the Nashville showroom at 615-213-1800 or send us an email nashville@gatewayclassiccars.com http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/NSH/821/1938-Ford-Deluxe

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is proud to offer this Sleek 2012 Fisker Karma Chic. The Fisker Karma is a premium plug-in-extended electric luxury sports sedan that was manufactured in 2012 by Valmet Automotive in Finland. The EPA rated the Karma’s combined city/highway fuel economy at 52 mpg and 62 mpg equivalent in all electric mode. The Karma had 3 different models produced, the Eco Standard, Intermediate Eco Sport and the “Animal Free” EcoChic. This Karma is the Chic! The first Fisker was auctioned off in October of 2011, fetching a bid of about $220,000. The Karma is powered by a pair of 120 kW (161 hp) electric motors that receive power from a 20.1 kWh lithium ion battery. Once the battery is depleted, or when the driver activates the Sport paddle on the steering wheel, the front-mounted 260-hp, 2.0-liter Ecotec four-cylinder direct-injection turbocharged gasoline engine powers a generator that sends electricity directly to the drive motors. The Karma includes a solar paneled roof to aid the cabin climate control system. The Karma also has a warning sound system designed to both alert pedestrians of its presence and enhance the driver experience. The EcoChic features a natural fabric interior with an ultra-suede dash, as part of Fiskers ecological animal-free offering. This Chic is a quiet killer, capable of hitting 125 MPG and 60 MPH in 6.3 seconds from a stand still. Time Magazine listed the Karma among ‘The Best Investments” of 2011. It also won Automotive Magazines 2012 Design of the Year Award. In 2012, the German car magazine Auto Bild awarded the Fisker the Golden Steering Wheel Award as Classic Car of the Future”. Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is a 1955 Ford Sunliner Convertible. Ragtop lovers flocked to Ford showrooms in 1955. They took home 49,966 1955 Ford Fairlane Sunliner Convertible Coupes. Only Chevy came remotely close with about 41,000 soft-top sales. Dramatically new sheet metal and a trendy wraparound windshield draped the carryover 115.5-inch-wheelbase chassis. A concave checkerboard grille, Fairlane checkmark bodyside trim, and large Jet-Tube taillights completed the look in 55. This gorgeous classic car screams of the 50s. We’re pretty sure you can hear the Happy Days theme song if you listen closely. This Sunliner is powered by what is claimed by the owner to be the original, numbers matching 292 CID V8 and Cruise-O-Matic transmission. The drive train has been recently rebuilt and now has just 3,500 miles! The car features a new top, lift cylinders, heater core, gas tank, alternator, rear air shocks, and front suspension. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Denver is proud to present this beautiful 1956 Ford Thunderbird. Production volume for the 1956 Ford Thunderbird was 15,631 units, which was the lowest of the first three years of the T-Bird, but still well more than three times higher than the Corvette at the time. For the Ford Thunderbirds sophomore year of 1956, various style changes took place, with the ultimate goal of adding room in the trunk. This was, after all, an upscale luxury cruiser (as opposed to the Corvettes sports car positioning), and there was a good chance the two occupants may be traveling with luggage to their destination. The added trunk space was achieved my moving the spare wheel to the outside, in its own very stylish container. Additionally, the exhaust outlets, once integrated into the rear fascia on the 1955 model, were now worked into very subtle outlets on the corners of the rear bumper. The Beautiful white and Turquoise really looks straight out of the 1950s bringing you back to the days of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe. Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this Sporty looking 1963 Chevrolet Nova Convertible for sale. After the rear-engine Chevrolet Corvair was outsold by the conventional Ford Falcon in 1960, Chevrolet began work on a more conventional compact car that would eventually become the Chevy II. The car was of semi-unibody construction having a bolt on front section joined to its unitized cabin and trunk rear section, available in two-door coupe and four-door sedan configurations as well as convertible and station wagon versions. Powering this 63 Nova Convertible for sale is a small block Crate motor 350cid V-8 engine with 330 horsepower that runs strong and smooth. As you drive you can feel the power shift through all the gears with a 200 4R automatic transmission with overdrive that also has been recently rebuilt. The 10-bolt rear end and 3.08 gears are out of a 66 Chevy Nova and gives this beast of a Nova its final touches to one strong drivetrain. Recently re-painted in a sporty looking Marina Blue exterior that will have heads turning all the way around as you pass them on the road. Step inside and you sit comfortably on matching Blue Vinyl bench seat up front and a bench for 3 in the rear. Dont forget the great looking White Convertible top with no tears or damage and finishes off this 1963 Nova perfectly. So, if you have been wanting something with power but not over the top and a head turner at the car shows, this Nova for sale is the one for you! Options on this 1963 Chevy Nova are: A/C, AM/FM Radio, manual Convertible top, Vinyl Interior, and 17-inch American Racing Aluminum/Alloy wheels wrapped in radial tires. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this gorgeous 1959 Ford Galaxie Skyliner Hardtop Convertible for sale. Ford only offered the Skyliner from 1957 to 1959 making this car a rare and collectable find. From 1957-1958 The Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner was produced. In 1959 right before the starting of the Skyliner production, Ford changed the name to The Ford Galaxie Skyliner. This particular vehicle was produced August 4th, 1959 which would classify it as a Galaxie Skyliner. The retractable hardtop option or “Hide-Away Hardtop was unique to Ford branded products and was not offered on any of the other Ford Motor Company brands like Lincoln, Mercury, or Edsel. This is an ideal cruising machine with its original 352 CID V8 that has plenty of power to scoot around this boat of a car. The power from the V8 is sent through a super smooth shifting 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic Automatic transmission which makes driving a breeze. This car was made for those summer evening cruises with the family or with friends. It has seating for six on the very comfortable cloth and vinyl interior. So, drop the power retractable hard top, crank up the tunes, and cruise with the wind in your hair. Further adding to the Summer vibe of this car is the very clean April Green and Colonial White paint which matches well to the color matched interior. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Las Vegas is proud to present this 1957 Thunderbird. The Thunderbird entered production for the 1955 model year as a sporty two-seat convertible. Unlike the Chevrolet Corvette, it was not marketed as a sports car. Ford positioned the Thunderbird as an upscale model and is credited in developing a new market segment - the personal luxury car. Though sharing some design characteristics with other Fords of the time; such as circular headlamps and tail lamps and modest tail-fins. The Thunderbird was sleeker and had features like a hood scoop and a 150 mph (240 km/h) speedometer hinting at a higher performance nature that other Fords didnt possess. The Thunderbirds 102.0 inches wheelbase frame was mostly a shortened version of that used in other Fords. This car has been repainted a number of years ago but still looks great. It has a power seat, Town & Country seeking radio, and muffler just replaced. This 1957 Ford Thunderbird can be seen great detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at https://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/LVS/37/1957-Ford-Thunderbird. Description:

Recently completed: New Shocks, Power Steering added, double fans for better cooling, new tires, engine rebuilt before Autumn 2020. Our Louisville Showroom is proud to offer this 1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL Convertible. The Galaxie name was used on Fords full-size cars from 59 to 61 to try and cash in on the excitement of the space race. Starting in 1962 they added the 500 and 500 XL to the name plate in order to denote its top of the line cars. Competing head to head with Chevrolets Impala SSs, the full-size convertible market was very tough but the Fords held their own all the way to 1974 when the line was finally discontinued. This beauty is a great example of what the 60s were all about. The body of the car is extremely nice and is believed to be retaining its original panels. The Skylight Blue paint looks like glass and is probably nicer than when she left the factory. The black vinyl top looks great but lets face it this car is all about top down fun. Especially when they see whats under the hood. This numbers matching Z code 390 is one of the most sought-after engines for 1964. Backed by a Hurst 4 speed transmission this Galaxie screams 1960s. The inside of this big block drop top is one of the nicest I have seen. The dark blue is a great contrast against the light blue exterior. The bucket seats are separated by a center console with the 4-speed shifter right where it should be. All in all, this 64 is a great example of a 500XL that can be driven as much as you care to drive it. This 390 500XL only has 1000 miles since the restoration and is ready for the next owner to turn the key and smash the gas. Options on this 1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL Convertible include, AM/FM, Power Steering, Power Brakes Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Powered Convertible Top, Wire Wheel Hub Caps and White Wall Radial Tires. Producing over 1 million Mustangs in the first 18 months of production due to the enormous demand. The inside is a very clean, vinyl interior that is equipped with ivy gold bench seats and a floor shifter which sets off this Mustang perfectly, power steering, power brakes with factory front disc brakes, seat belts, rally wheels wrapped in radial tires. This Mustang has more than enough power to get you moving down any road. It is equipped with the original 289 Cubic Inch V8 that has 5000 miles on the recent rebuild and provides a very satisfying rumble as soon as you start this pristine Pony. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is proud to offer for sale this nifty white 1978 Toyota Bandeirante (J40 series). The second generation Bandeirante OJ40/OJ45 Series (1968 to 1973), OJ50/OJ55 Series (1973 to 1994) and BJ50/BJ55 Series (1994 to 2001) are J40 series cars built in Brazil by Toyota do Brasil Ltda from 1968 to 2001. Identical to the BJ40 in almost every respect, it had a few stylistic modifications to the grille (models produced from 1989 on featured square headlights, instead of the round ones used before) and used Mercedes-Benz OM-314/OM-324/OM-364 diesel engines (replaced by Toyota 14B inline 4 direct injection Diesel engine in 1994) for much of its production life; another visible major characteristic are the entire hind doors (like at Land Rover) rather than the traditional Toyota two-wing hind doors at the Bandeirantes hard top models.(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Land_Cruiser_%28J40%29) This Bandeirante has a newer grill (with the square headlight configuration found in 1989 and later years), and other enhancements. Sporting a 12,500 pound winch, roof luggage rack with side access ladder, brush guard, deep water fording snorkel kit, new rubber fender lips, comfortable synthetic leather seating surfaces on the custom front sport buckets up front and the rear bench, and a Pioneer AM/FM head unit, it has what you need to get far off-road and enjoy the trip. Powered by a 3.8L diesel backed by a 4-speed manual transmission, it has the torque and gear ratios to go almost anywhere. With its deep-lugged 265/70R16 All-Terrain radial tires wrapping its 16 silver wheels, you can get into some pretty hairy places if you desire. Toyota J-series aficionados will not want to let this one slip past their grasp!
