Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Denver welcomes this ORIGINAL 1941 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible! The Ford car was thoroughly updated in 1941, in preparation for a time of unpredictability surrounding World War II. The 1941 design would continue in an aborted 1942 model year and would be restarted in 1946 and produced until 1948 when the more modern 1949 Fords were ready. During the initial year of this car, it evolved considerably. The front fenders came in three pieces, the theory being that small damages could be replaced easily. During the year, it evolved into two pieces with the lower front and back sections being joined. The hood risers changed, the early ones being the same as 1940 Fords, changing during the year to the better later version. The 1941 Convertible had no rear side windows, the only side windows being in the doors; in 1942, quarter windows were added so the rear occupants could see out. Five different coil/distributor arrangements were used during 1941, causing confusion for mechanics. Other variations were: two different positions for the generator, and three for the cooling fan — front of the crankshaft, front of the generator (rare) and on a bracket. This is thought to be the first Ford to offer an oil filter. The two interior heaters were a Southwind gasoline burner, which had the advantage of keeping one warm in winter at drive-in movies (provided a small electric fuel pump was used), and a more ordinary hot-water type. Both had window defrosters. It had an excellent radio, which could consume the battery in about two hours. Electric windshield wipers were available in addition to the vacuum-powered wipers. Three different convertible power top mechanisms (vacuum, electric screw, and hydraulic) and two different header bar latching systems were used. Rear suspensions sometimes had a sway bar, most did not. It had excellent brakes and among the best handling of ordinary cars of the time. It served a transitional role in Fords lineup The ignition key for these cars was actually used to operate a bolt lock which, on one end, unlocked the steering column (a feature destined to return, mandated, decades later), and on the other end unblocked the ignition switch, allowing it to be operated. Starting the car was then accomplished by pressing a pushbutton on the dashboard, another feature destined to return with the advent of smart keys. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this sharp 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible. This car is turn key and fire right up just ready to hit the streets. Nothing like the sound of a Chevy V8 engine and in a convertible to really make you enjoy a summer night cruise. The 1971 Chevelle was treated to new front-end and rear-end styling that included large Power-Beam single-unit headlights, a reworked grille and bumper, and integral park/signal/marker lights. New dual round taillights were integral with the back bumper. Because SS models suffered heavy insurance surcharges, Chevrolet introduced the Heavy Chevy at midyear, which was based on the base Chevelle, and was available with any V8 engine except the 454, which was exclusive to SS models. Chevrolet specifications for 1971 included both gross and net horsepower figures for all engines. The standard Chevelle SS engine was a two-barrel 350-cubic-inch V8 rated at 245 gross (165 net) horsepower. This stunning Chevelle does have a newer crate 350 small block that was installed about 20 miles ago and it runs great. It is paired to a smooth shifting 3 speed automatic transmission. The red paint on this car shines bright in the sun and has been redone to be in great condition. The black vinyl interior does not show its age due to it not having any rips or tears. This car even has upgraded sound system to a more modern stereo and speakers. The classic style is kept with the Cragar wheels and white letter BF Goodrich tires, it does have another set of rims that come with it as well. This car is set up with the R12 original A/C that still blows cool to this day. The power top makes an aggressive look go to a sporty convertible and even more fun drive in a matter of minutes. This car is perfect for any collection and could even be used as a daily driver. Everyone should enjoy dropping the top on a classic Chevelle and pushing the throttle down to feel the rush of American muscle. Description:

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this nasty Pro Street-style 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 tribute. Between the super-slick PPG 2006 Corvette Z06 LeMans Blue paint with its gloss black stripes, and the massive big block engine, this frame off restored car is sure to make your heart beat fast! Under the hood of this beast is a stout 468 CID V8 engine (built by Dinos Racing Engines), based on a .030 over-bored 427, which is equipped with a Callies crank and forged Mahle 10.5:1 pistons. A set of ceramic coated Hooker headers funnel the spent fossils into a massive 3-inch stainless steel dual Magnaflow exhaust with huge polished stainless megaphones on its side exits. Fire it up, and it crackles and pops like a race car; but under normal driving, the sound is just right. Nail the gas, though, and you will think you are in a Nascar racer - which, in part, you are: the roll cage is a Nascar cage. The big 468s power is sent to the rear end via a built reverse manual valve body 700R4 automatic transmission, controlled by a Hurst ratchet shifter. A stout Ford 9 rear houses a set of 3.73:1 gears, which makes this a wicked Camaro suitable for both street and strip. The 3rd-member is equipped with a 4-link setup, complete with adjustable coil-overs, providing for near infinite adjustability to get the power down most effectively. Up front, adjustable coil-overs keep the Global West tubular upper and lower control arms properly damped, enhancing the handling. If one looks closely, theyll notice that nearly everything underneath has been powder coated in a mottled gray finish, as have been the inner fenders in the engine bay, the core support for the radiator, and the tops of the valve covers...they all match and look great! When it comes time to slow down, the driver will appreciate the four-piston SSBC Force10 brake calipers and drilled and slotted rotors up front; along with the four-piston Wilwood calipers and rotors out back. Theres even an adjustable brake proportioning valve, enabling the pilot to dial in the brake bias to their preference. Weld Racing aluminum wheels are at all 4 corners, shod by 165/80R-15 skinnies up front, and massive 315/60R-15 Mickey Thompson ET Drag Radials out back, which also fit nicely in the tubbed rear, and give it a real Pro stance. Moving inward, the custom gray and black two-tone interior is done in a durable burlap cloth and features custom Z28 embroidered emblems in both the head rests and the rear parcel area. RCI 5-point racing harnesses keep driver and passenger securely tucked into their places, and a complete set of AutoMeter ProComp gauges, housed in a carbon fiber-look dash, help keep the driver informed of critical engine stats. Theres even a carbon fiber NOS bottle - which is there for show and is ready to be plumbed in should its new owner need a little extra top-end punch. Additional features and options on the Pro Street-style 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 tribute for sale include Aluminum Alloy Wheels, Cloth Interior, Power Steering, Radial Tires, and Seat Belts. Description:

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this eye catching 1967 Chevrolet Camaro. This car breathes American Muscle and is great for tearing up the street and getting all those car lovers to turn their heads. This car had had a complete rotisserie restoration according to the owner and shows well. Built as a Yenko tribute car, it certainly is the talk of the night at most car shows. If youre not familiar with the term “Yenko to keep things short it originates from Don and Frank Yenko a father son duo who ran Yenko Chevrolet out of Canonsburg, PA. They were known for selling customized muscle cars in the late 60s which have become some of the most collectible cars to date. The 67 Camaro is powered by a Blueprinted 383 stroker that packs a strong punch. While it may not be the 427 like Yenko built them back in the day, it can still put a smile on your face. You can punch through the power band using the ratchet shifter and the Turbo 400 transmission can certainly handle it. With an estimated 582 miles on the build, this Camaro has years of life left in it. If your looking to lay down some rubber, the 3.08 gearing and posi-trac rear end should certainly help with that. Keeping the car from squatting on a launch if you decide to make a few passes down the track, traction bars have been added as well. When getting up to high speeds, its just as important to stop, so a new brake booster and front disc brakes were added as well. All new bushings, and suspension certainly give the car a smoother ride as well. The interior is just as clean as the outside. With custom bucket seats, new gauge cluster, and overall fresh look this car is ready to hit the road. After owning the car for the last 5 years, the current owner has decided to let someone else enjoy the fun of this classic muscle car. Dont waste a minute on this one as its not likely to last very long as you certainly couldnt build this car for less. Gateway Classic Cars of Las Vegas is proud to present this 1969 Pontiac Firebird for sale in our Las Vegas showroom! So many things on this car are all new its even better than driving it straight off the factory floor! The original motor has been removed and a carbon fiber covered New Era 6.0 Liter LS4 engine was been installed, complete with a Z06 manifold. That engine is estimated at around 500 horsepower and has a great sound out of the all-new aluminum exhaust with an H-pipe and Flowmaster stainless steel tips. The 6-speed manual transmission shifts nice and smooth with the Hurst short throw modification. An aluminum radiator has been installed to keep her cool, while the engine compartment frame has been reinforced as well. Description:

For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is a frame-off restored 1966 Mercury Comet Cyclone GT. This rare piece of American history is believed to be one of only a handful made with these exact options and the factory installed fiberglass hood. Decoding the trim tag indicates that this car is an original S code 390 CID V8 car. The S code engine in 1966 was said to put out 335 horse power conservatively rated, and 427 foot pounds of torque. The interior and exterior have been beautifully restored to their original specifications, Red paint and White vinyl. Unlike the Comet Cyclone GTs counterpart, the Ford Fairlane, this car was a very limited production number vehicle. The limited production numbers of the Comet Cyclone GT is what brings the car in to a whole different realm of collectability. If you are looking for that rare muscle car era car that is next to take off, then look no further because you have found it here with this rare 1966 Mercury Comet Cyclone GT. The features include; upgraded air conditioning, Am/Fm Stereo, Rally Wheels, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, and Vinyl interior. Description:

Our Nashville showroom digitally showcases this incredible 1971 Ford Mustang MACH 1. Now if you where shopping at a Ford dealership in 1971 the choices in engine sizes for the Mustang ranged from the classic 302 CID to insane 429 CID. Now if 429 Cubic inches were not enough, this engine came in two choices, Cobra Jet or Super Cobra jet. The latter would only come with the “Drag pak that also had a very unfriendly rear ring and pinion even with gas running about .22 cents for 9/10th of a gallon. With Three dog night, Led Zeppelin and Tom Jones on the air waves pouring through the single speaker in the middle of the dash and the war in south east Asia on everybodys mind, someone laid down the cash and drove this stunning car off the lot. I could (and will) tell you about how nice the paint is but lets face it, what is under the hood of this car is what is on your mind. 429 cubic inches is a lot of engine to stuff between the shock perches of a 1971 MACH 1 for sale, but they did it and it fills the engine bay to the brim. This numbers matching (as stated by the owner) 71 MACH 1 comes complete with the factory big block and C6 3 speed automatic transmission. Kevin Marti reports that only 177 of these beauties were ever made like this making this a very special car. This car was factory painted white but in 1985 someone laid down a slick red paint job that includes black stripes. A matching interior was added, and a star is born. This car deserves a special place in a special collection. Options for this 1971 Mustang MACH 1 include: Air condition, AM/FM Radio, Cruise control, Power steering and brakes, Seat belts, Posi traction and Radial tires on Rally rims. This 1971 Ford Mustang MACH 1 for sale can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com for more information please call the showroom at 615-213-1800 or email us at nashville@gatewayclassiccars.com

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Milwaukee is excited to present this sharp 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle. This Blue beauty is a real 138 true SS car with a date correct CE 396 V8 engine and 4 speed manual transmission. During the restoration of this sharp SS the paint was completely redone to a two toned blue and black with a black vinyl top. It has had new black vinyl interior installed to keep the classic flow of the car. Although the whole car is black and blue inside and out, when you pop open the hood and see the big block you will notice that is was painted Hugger orange. This combination is one of the most sought-after combinations in the Chevelle world. This SS is powered by a monster 396 Turbo Jet engine with 375 HP and paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. Technically this car is numbers matching due to the warranty replaced CE block that was installed in the car while it was under the GM warranty. The paint, interior, drivetrain, and suspension have all been refurbished and ready to be shown or even enjoyed as a driver. Options include; Air conditioning optioned but not hooked up, AM/FM radio, power brakes and steering, vinyl top and interior, raised letter radial tires, Rally wheels, and even a Posi 12 bolt rear end. This car is perfect for a collection or to be driven and enjoyed. Government-mandated side marker lighting was incorporated, with early 1968 SS 396 light bezels seen with the SS 396 nomenclature - at some point in the later production cycle the engine callout had a 396 also shared with the Chevy II Nova SS (the side marker bezels, also sourced from the Chevy II Nova in 307, 327, and 396 displacements) had the engine displacement except for the six cylinder models). Black-accented Super Sports had F70x14 red-stripe tires and a standard 325-horsepower 396-cubic-inch Turbo-Jet V8 engine with the special twin-domed hood; 350 and 375-horsepower 396 engines were optional. This Chevelle has the most powerful option with its 375 HP 396 engine. The SS 396 sport coupe once started at $2,899 and continue to gain value as they get harder and harder to find. Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is pleased to offer this amazing 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner Retractable Hard Top Convertible. The retractable hardtop option or aka Hide-Away Hardtop was unique to Ford branded products, and was not offered on any of the other Ford Motor Company brands like Lincoln, Mercury, or Edsel. This fine example sports the fender shirts from that era, as well as the continental kit. She appears to have been restored, as the paint is very nice, as well as all trim, grill, and bumpers. Painted in a Red/White 2-tone clear coat, she shines like no tomorrow! The engine and bay area are the same, appearing to be rebuilt, and very well detailed. She is powered by the 245-hp 292 V-8 mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Stepping inside, she appears to have the original interior, with the legendary plastic protection on front and rear seats - something some of us remember as kids, when your sunburned skin stuck to the seats! She appears to have new carpets, and the seats, door panels, and headliner all look fine. The top still functions, however, it is a bit temperamental, but still works. Mechanically, the car is sound, and runs and drives just fine. This rare little gem would be a great car to drive and enjoy. Either way, youll be the proud owner of an incredibly unique vehicle that will draw a crowd each time you lower that massive top into the cavernous truck. Options for this Skyliner include ; Power Retractable Top, Dual Exhaust, Continental Kit, Fender Skirts, Power Brakes, Power Steering, A/C, Dual Spotlights, Seat Belts, JVC AM/FM/Cass.
